Jenise H.I reserved a cargo van, and was setup to check it in online. I was not able to check in online at my appt, I had to go inside the store because they didn't have any vans available, just the 10' truck. I was given truck 1138T, and the air conditioning did not work. I signed off that the fuel was at half a tank, because it was when I turned the truck on. About 15 miles into driving the empty gas tank light comes on, and I stopped by a gas station to add $15. Before the end of my move, I had to fill the truck up again at $7. Because the gas light came on again. Additionally, the odometer read 27 miles more than I drove. There seems to be some faulty pieces with this truck, and I wouldn't have written a review, but this is the second time I've gotten a truck that needed to be repaired. From this location.

Joseph S.Make sure that the online service be truthful to customer I was promise 50 free miles and knowing that it wasn't true. I was very disappointed when I got to Uhaul place and had to pay for miles as well waiting an hour to take delivery of truck was scheduled to pick up at 8 place didn't open until 9. I will not use the online reservation service again. But as for the UHaul staff the young man Sunday morning had awesome customer service skills and was attentive to the needs of customers. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Christian was really nice and helped me get all the boxes I needed. Apparently when you order on the app it picks random stuff out for you to get with the truck and Christian went through all of the stuff I didn't order and credited everything back to me. I would recommend this location to my friends and family because they had what I needed and it didn't take up a lot of time. And Christian took the time to help me.

Got a call around 1:12 telling us the van was not available at this location but we could drive to another town to pick a van up. The agent mentioned this happens frequently with reservations made to a call center. We rented all they had left, a trailer to pull with my van and it was okay but we couldn't just back up easily.

Hunter W.The staff did not seem interested in helping me. The man helping me barely acknowledged I was there. When he was done charging my card he just pointed out the door and told me to go find the truck somewhere outside. I had to ask him for instructions on the basics of picking up and returning the vehicle. I was nervous there was an important part of the process that I would miss because I didn't think to ask about it and the staff couldn't be bothered to tell me. Also, when I got the bill for the rental, I found that I had been double charged. I've been told they are going to fix it. But I'll be surprised if I don't have to follow up multiple times to make sure it gets done.
Samuel T.Train your employees. They handed me keys and made me hunt for the truck in your parking lot only to find the truck buried behind and in front of other trucks. Then had an attitude about correcting the problem and bringing me the truck. There was a razor blade in the door handle and the dash was nasty like someone had changed a baby on the dash! $550 for 300 miles and a full day is highway robbery. When I checked in, there was only one person checking people in and she was pleasant and professional. There was a guy sitting in a chair that seemed put out and wasn't helping at all. Later, when I was almost finished checking out, a man came out complaining about a part being expensive and was mad at the gal helping me. He was unprofessional in his manner with her in front of customers and lacked any self awareness of his behavior with her and that there were 3 people behind me in line at the time. She was even able to help me with my dolly and checked the van out with me. Super helpful and so appreciated. The man that helped me at the end of the day to check my van in was super nice and professional. I would restock supplies for moves as your shelves looked picked over and if that man was a manager, he needs to be better at his behavior in front of customers.
Alexandra L.Clarification: I Already had the Hitch installed. This visit was to install the lighting kit so I can haul a trailer with working lights. This U-Haul location like many does NOT have a waiting room. The installation for hitches/light kits will take AT LEAST 2 HOURS (if you have an appointment) - so either drop it off and come back later to pick it up, or go to a nearby restaurant - IHOP is immediately next door, then Starbucks. If you are willing to cross Capital Blvd (at a Crosswalk!), then across the street is a McDonald's and a Burger King (BK Still exists?). Staff was pleasant to deal with. I asked for assistance in making sure I had I had everything I needed to actually attach a trailer in the future - after looking at my car and existing trailer hitch, they suggested a Ball, converter for 1,25? to 2,5 inch hitch, retaining cotter-pin type thing. The service was outstanding and I would definitely use them again in the future.

Jonah F.The rental process was smooth and efficient! Your team members were kind and helpful with getting the right size truck and the rental of a furniture dolly. I did the after hours return process and it was straightforward and convenient. I had difficulty seeing where the after hours key drop was located. The picture on the return website didn't look like anything I saw at your location. There is just one small sign saying key return with an arrow. I ended up dropping keys through an unlabeled slot in the direction the arrow was pointing. Please improve your signage!

Sung B.I would suggest improving signage at this location. Inconsistent language and instructions on how to return a vehicle made the process much more difficult than it should be. For instance, the drop box for keys in the online instructions looks completely different than the sign posted on the front door.

Irving S.1. They didnt have the size truck we reserved. 2. They upgraded to a bigger truck which we didnt want. 3. The truck had a Check Engine light and we had to trade trucks again. 4. The truck we finally received had Electrical Tape on the right side mirror that was trying to hold it in place. The mirror kept vibrating out and was not useable making it extremely dangerous to drive. Imagine driving a big Uhaul truck cross country and changing lanes to the right without being able to see anything on the right side of the truck. We had to take the motorcycle out of the truck and drive in front of the Uhaul so it could signal when it was safe to change lanes to the right. We rented the truck so we wouldn't have to drive the motorcycle cross country on the interstate. We paid over $1 000 for a truck we couldn't use! Your dealership should never have allowed an unsafe truck on the road and we want our money refunded!

george M.If you have vehicles that are out of service, make sure your computer systems reflect that so customers don't book a truck that you don't have when they show up to get it. When this happens you should offer a discount for the mistake. Ensure you are not adding additional charges to the customer's bill in error.

Marco S.Both customer service reps we dealt with were great, but the equipment we rented was by far the worst we have ever received. My husband went to do a uTurn and the passenger side door flew open. Unbeknownst to us that door had issues latching, the door latch was no where near lined up and my husband got his finger stuck in the door getting it closed so we could safely drive. Driving at speeds over 45mph were scary, the dash lights were like a discotheque and the sounds of the engine sounded like it was about to explode. We drove with hazards on for part of the way cause the speed limit of 70mph felt dangerous. We did have have the time to go back and get another truck. We made do. But we did not feel safe driving that truck at all. It clearly was not very well inspected when the last customers returned it. Again, staff were great. The equipment was not (we rented a 15ft truck)

I was third in line and I saw a woman who looked like she was doing inventory going in and out of the general manager's office and throughout the store, The person in line in front of me, and myself could not figure out why she didn't attempt to serve us. Basic customer service training would have provided the answer. Focus on the customer, they are why you are there in the first place.

The manager explained that the bay door did not work so we had to unload and haul everything down from the truck down a hallway to the unit vs backing the truck up to the bay door and unloading our things directly into the unit.

Also, I was told I had to purchase a lock and it was not included despite what the website said. However, when I got the reassigned unit that was vacant, a lock was included. By then, the store closed so was unable to return a lock for a refund. Attendant on duty was cordial and helpful overall but some disconnects with the units & locks.

When I arrived to the location, the staff member pretty much said "sorry, we gave it to someone else because we have too many requests." So, a loss of my time. What are reservations for? At least the staff member helped in finding a different location, which happens to be farther from where I am, so less convenient.

After paying was told that my reservation was not available and that I would need to go all over town to get my truck and storage unit job done. Then I after website problems I could not pay my rental. So they send me a rude letter of threatening to reposes my things . Not even a week late. Then I had to sit in a big line when all I needed was to pay. If that wasnt enough they're payment system would not take my credit card which I first paid without a problem . Counter lady was rude and obnoxious trying to say my card was declined. When my card was fine but they're payment system is faulty and without proper connections. So this particular UHaul on Capital Blvd gets a zero from me.

I am not sure what camera setup there is outdoor storage but I every time I went in before daylight, it was always dark. I still felt safe leaving my vehicle there. Also, Uhaul had the best price in the 100 mile square area for outdoor storage.

On Sunday I found the young man that helped me was not overly friendly and didn't communicate enough. As my there was confusion around my storage reservation, he had to contact his manager (who was not working). Of course this was not a problem, but it would have been less frustrating for me if the associate would have just communicated more information about his dialogue with his Manager. It took well over an hour to checkin.

It took us a long time to return the uHaul truck we rented, because we finally finished unloading it and the office hours had just ended. The app would not work on my phone at all, so rather than having someone right there that could help, we were on hold for forty minutes with the uHaul company. One we finally got through to someone, we had a forty minute phone call with a representative just to do this process of returning the truck. It was really hard to go through that after being totally exhausted from loading and unloading the truck that day. Overall great customer service, clean place, we were happy. I just suggest to staff one of the good folks that works there for a later shift until 9 or 10 pm.

PEDRO V. | Expérience généraleI never got moved in. 2 days and several trips to the store (check cameras and phone logs) and the lock was never removed from the unit. You don't know this but I'm moving and in the process of looking for a home. Hopefully that search only takes a month or two but with this market it could take up to 6. My stuff will be in storage until my search is done. I cancelled my unit with your company and went to a competitor because of the poor customer service. Your staff was friendly, but they didn't actually complete my transaction. Seriously the basics weren't done and it cost you whatever the final tally would have been for the allotted time I end up needing a storage unit. Your facility is literally across the street from my current home and I'm gladly driving the extra 10minutes up capital to Public Storage just so I don't have to deal with the hassle of your facility. I don't usually offer unwarranted advice but I will here: take 5 minutes and ensure that each customer transaction is actually complete and you'll avoid situations like this in the future. It would have taken all of 2 minutes to remove the lock off of my unit and I'd happily be depositing my stuff there now. Also getting your customers names right is probably important. My name is Joshua James Foots and it was entered as Joshua James in the system. Not a big deal in my book but honestly the first step to establishing a good relationship is knowing the correct name. Especially when I give you my government issued license. I wish you the best and hope you improve so your future customers are better served.
joshua j. | Expérience généraleThey never took the uhaul lock off of my storage unit. I waited 30 minutes when the store was open and then I had to go because I had another appointment. The gentleman helping me said "I'll be sure to get the lock off in a few more minutes" I replied "Great I'll be back tonight to move in". I show up at 8:30ish with my friends to help me unload and the lock is still there. Office is closed, called customer service and they didn't have a phone number for anyone locally. It takes all of 30 seconds to take a lock off of a door. So as far as "move in" goes perhaps once I actually get moved in it'll be nice. Right now this is just a bad experience that is still unresolved.
