I had a terrible experience! I went to the U-Haul on State Street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was refused service due to an incident that occurred that had nothing to do with me. The store clerk Chris was rude and unpleasant and didn't bring ease to my day at all. I arrived at the facility at 9:45am then left to go to the location on East Capitol and was still refused service then I DROVE BACK to the State St location, I waited an HOUR just to be told he will not rent the car to me. I never was told why. Then the clerk had me call the Market Manager Ben on my phone to see if I could get a rental. He was helpful, but still caused me more inconvenience. He made me drive BACK to East Capitol location to get a rental…this is an 10 minute drive. That took a total of 30 mins combined. No one offered any accommodation or discounts for the time wasted. Worst customer service experience that I have experienced.

DANNY AThe counter rep was half asleep and mumbled. He was difficult to understand. He did not remind me to check the odometer and gas tank when I checked the vehicle out. My mistake - I did not go back into the store and inform the rep that the gas gauge estimate was not correct and that the odometer reading recorded was incorrect. So, at the end of the day, I returned the vehicle with less miles on it than I had estimated and I returned it with more gas in it than I took it out with. The rep that checked me out charged me an extra $40 to cover the mistakes they made (odometer and gas gauge) at the beginning of this process. Stunningly poor customer service!
JOCK MThe service was slow & the truck door didn't close. You had to slam the door a couple times to just close them but also to turn off the light.

MAELEEN DNothing really. Except the fact people run into Bumps. Emergencies even catastrophes. So quick to call the cops makes it worse whichever it is. Most people are full of it. In my case it was a tragedy related family event. It's a business not a center for emotional support. What's more, that Manager guy Dominick in particular is a keeper. He said I get it. Until the end of the day I report it stolen. That was at three days over. Little do he know he saved a life with that decision. Mine. But besides that. The way that guy ran that store, and that crew, .to your point, In my opinion as a businessman is about as good as it gets. I'd hire him. I owe Uhaul a lot more than money. I am recovering upon completion you're paid in full plus that collection fee. My apologies.

The first time I used to app to do the pick up the truck was parked in with another truck. Not exactly helpful. This time the truck was on the back side of the building and ready to go.

They had already messed-up up my storage reservation by charging me for 2 units when I had only used 1. The associate took a long time to get my rental truck. When I went to my storage unit, they had replaced my lock when when I told them to leave it alone. And to top it off, the employees in the office smelled like marijuana! Someone needs to find out what's going on there!

kebbie lI was charged twice for the same rental. Then charged over $1500, 20 days later because y'all claimed I still had the truck. This locked me out of all my money because my card had to be cancelled. Worst experience ever. I WILL NEVER RENT UHAUL AGAIN. Oh, and offer a veteran's discount. Unless you're going to compensate me for this outrageous inconvenience, don't contact me ever again.

CHRISTINE MExtremely unkept and bugs (roaches) got into my unit from another one causing me to have to through and throw a lot of things away. I only had my unit barely 4 months and no one seemed to be concerned or care about the big problem. People are even hiding out and living in there outside of store hours, it's hot and humid. It's also expensive for the unit that I had with no light inside the unit. It's ridiculous. I wouldn't put a table in there even if it was the last place that had availability.

I called and stated I did not want the climate controlled upgrade. Staff said they documented my refusal to upgrade. I received bill charged at increased rate for upgrade. Multiple attempts to reach manger unsuccessful. No one could find any documentation of my call to refuse upgrade. So after four years of storing I cleared out my storage and would look for another option in the future if needed.
