We secured the rental online. When we got there the unit number wasn’t working with the alarm system. We Ended up having to go into the office and get assigned a new unit. The large double sliding doors do not work with our code only the single door, which makes it difficult to use any type of moving device such as a dolly, or cart or mover anything large through the single door. The 3 day we went to the rental there was a tag in the unit which said we were denied access due to non payment. Obviously that wasn’t correct as we had just secured the unit with a full months payment 3 days before. Again Had to go to the office to gain access to our unit. Only then we’re we told that we had to use the provided lock, not a personal lock which we had placed in the unit. The security seems good, but hoping we have no more problems and it would be nice if the double sliding doors would open with our code.

This place sucks they overcharged me for milage I didn't even use I was sapose to be charged one price but when returned they added charges I took truck pack gased up returned how it was given except cleaner only used about 10 no more then 15 miles and got changed for 70 miles not good business never again will I use u haul services again it will have to take a miracle of that to happen but don't recommend nobody there they will charge more then they say that's called catches cause there's a catch you everything should've known 0 star ⭐ if was possible I would rate this company to

I had just moved down from Denver and the guys that where at the front desk where very helpful! They helped me with all my needs. They where quick and neat with the entire process! They explained everything very clear.! Great service and will be returning with any of my uhaul needs! 😊

The only thing directly applicable to this location was the windshield on the truck hadn't been cleaned. Everything else was clean. Prior to picking up the truck our experience with Uhaul was a real disaster. We had ordered a 26' truck two weeks in advance but 2 days before pick up we were informed that the largest truck was a 20' one. When we picked up the truck they tried to charge us about $250 more than we had been quoted for the 26' truck. This change caused us other problems because the pick up location was on the other side of Albuquerque from where we had been promised. I was expecting to pay less for the 20' truck not more. Needless to say we were very disappointed in the handling of our reservation.

Super nice staff. Easy to get my rental and be on my way. The only thing I was a little concerned/uncomfortable with is that my picture was taken. Also, I was left to inspect the truck I rented prior to departure. Which is unusual because when I've rented a vehicle both myself and the rental company do a walk around it to make sure there are no damages.

On Dec 9th I made a delivery appointment for Saturday, Dec 12. On the 11th, I checked on it as nobody had called me. The appointment had been moved to the following Wednesday with no phone contact, just an email. I had to accept that and was told I was the first delivery of the day. I was at my new apartment by 7:30 on the 16th and nobody tried calling me. Before and on the delivery day the driver was apparently calling the wrong phone number and stating I wasn't responding so she did not deliver our Uboxes when we expected. It took several phone calls to get them to deliver that day by mid-afternoon. Hired help had to be paid for their trouble and my 68 y.o. wife and I and one son unloaded two U-boxes by ourselves over the next 2 days. Then they charged me for another month's rental (which was finally credited back after I called to complain.) The local office doesn't know what's going on and you have to call about two to three different numbers to get to the person who can help. The complaint number the local office gave me was out of service.

The hold on trying to phone is intolerable; the chat feature (this is UHaul in general) useless 50% of the time. The driver who delivered my containers deserves a raise; she was terrific (so, too, the driver here in KY). Never been to the ground facility in ABQ so cannot judge with accuracy. With ALL online today, that question needs a "not applicable" response.

The U haul track smelled heavily of Marijuana and the location never alerted me of this - the rep did not even walk me to the truck and just said here at the keys. The manager advised that the smell would wear off. This is terrible as my belongings are all damaged.

Nobody was in the lobby and had to go looking for someone to help me. Couldn't return the truck to another location which caused me to have to drive all the way back to Albuquerque from Santa Fe to return the truck. Ended up changing plans to avoid extra time/mileage/expense. 10' truck wasn't available at closer location to me so had to drive to Coors to get a 10' truck. Coors U-haul location is a confusing location and time consuming to get to because it is behind Walmart down a dead end street. One way rentals should always be available from a moving truck company.

Unlikely. I recently (10/10/2020) rented a pickup for evening transportation of a telescope for sky viewing. I have been a customer of U-Haul for many years. Two issues in my recent experience distressed me, and I am unlikely to continue to support U-Haul. The first issue has to do with PII. When I completed my on-line clearance, I provided my driver's license number. When I arrived at the rental center, a young person using a cell phone in a very casual manner took my photo and also photographed my license. I believe it goes without saying that PII should be handled in a highly confidential manner and discarded when no longer needed. In my opinion a pre-clearance of my license could have been completed before my arrival, and a visual check of my license and identity would be sufficient at the rental center. The manner in which this was managed did not inspire any confidence in the security of these processes. The second issue has to do with the pick-up and return procedures. I was not informed at the rental center that I needed to make a visual inspection of the equipment nor provided any means to document mars on the equipment. After leaving the center, I received a text message to this effect, but when I discovered it, it had expired and I was unable to respond to it. When I returned the equipment I was greeted in a hostile manner by the center manager who accused me of causing a dent in the body of the pickup, for which I was not responsible. In my opinion the center should maintain its own records of its equipment and a representative and the customer should make a joint inspection of the equipment before it leaves the lot to clarify any damage to the equipment before and after use.

Although the storage unit and almost all staff was great, there was one staff member who acted very unprofessional. His name is Jonathan Sediillo, from the I40 and Coors location. I am unsure if he had a bad day, but he was rude, impatient, and condensending. He definitely left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Everyone who helped us at the facility went above and beyond. Both Silas and Jonathan(spelling?) were doing their very heat to make the process as easy as possible for us while we were driving in from out of state. Jonathan went as far as walking us through the on-line move in process when our signal made the system glitch. We can't express enough how grateful we are!

I bit understaffed. Took awhile of waiting for assistance and then, guy explained some things , spoke really fast, completed paperwork and took off. I didn’t understand if I was supposed to follow him or not, norbabout the alarm and had to kind of figure out the process on my own. Been a really long time since I had used a self storage and would have appreciated a little extra courtesy. Otherwise, I would rate average. Is very clean and appreciated access to carts at entrance to building.

I do find it a bit conflict of interest that you are required to buy a Uhaul lock (though it is nicely discounted). If you.use another lock, they will lock you put of your unit until you buy thier lock. On my case I had recently become homeless (it's better now), and I was surviving selling items from my unit. I could not afford thier lock, and they caused me to lose sales. They were unsympathetic, even with other people arguing for me. Crappy policy. Oh and if u lose they keys to.thier lock whichl they force you to buy, they can't help you. Call locksmith at your own cost. Aside from that one thing, we s home site., security and staff.
