My only complaint is that when i arrived in Albuquerque the location redirected me to another drop off location because they didnt have room to park the truck.

Kimberly S.Reserved my U-Haul online, confirm email stated someone would call me within 24 hours to discuss. No one ever called. I called the day before my scheduled move and turns out the location I selected to pick up the U-Haul at was actually closed so I had to pick it up at a different location further than expected. As a first time uhaul driver that made me a little uneasy and I had to replan my route. That was the only real hiccup after that everything went smooth.

Vince V.Movers were somewhat inexperienced moving my piano from the uBox to the living room in my house. I had to direct them where to place the two-man strap under the piano. They also failed to protect the wood from the metal cinch on the strap and nicked the finished wood on one side of the piano.

I needed to access the boxes and requested them to be pulled in advance, when I arrived they had not been pulled and nobody was available to pull them. I had to come back the next day and it totally messed up my schedule. A second time I came to empty them I was assured they would be pulled. When I arrived only one was out. Thankfully the guys were very helpful and brought it out.

James O.I feel deceived and hurt. The woman who made my reservation gave me VERY wrong information and each and every bit ofninformstiin she.gsvr me or omitted cost me more money, time, and hassle. Everyone at this location was very nice and helpful, but 1. I was told a month before my reservation, when I made it, that I could pick up the truck and car trailer at the location next to my apartment. Not only was I eventually required to pick it all up 30 minutes away, but I couldn't get it until several hours later, which required I reach out to everyone helping me with less than 24 hours notice, inconveniencing many friends. This location also had NO MOVING BLANKETS, which required I travel another location to pick THEM up. Picking up from this location also cost me an extra 50 miles of driving. This is important because 8nwas told I'd have unlimited miles, which.was also not accurate. 2. I was told by the same woman whose my reservation that the storage location to which I'd be offloading my 20' truck would give me a month free rent on the 10x15 space I'd reserved. When I asked about adding a smaller space to my needed storage, she gladly took that order, but I found out when I arrived that I'd only get one month free on the SMALLER space, costing me $200 for renting the larger space. Everyone was very nice, but "sorry for the inconvenience" is a pretty shitty way to inconvenience me, take me for more money, and eat up my time and energy in the critical life moment that moving is. After many years of easy UHaul reservations this one STUNK IT UP.

So, two employees of this location - one by phone and another in person employee - told me that I could keep the Truck some additional days untill I get my apartment . I would not be charged. The truck was parked at that location for those three additional days. So, I am disputing the charge on the ground that I was told that I would not be charged those additional days.
Walter P.Representative told us we could drop trailer off in Edgewood. We later learned that we had to drive almost 80 miles to return the trailer back to the pickup location. The additional expense should be compensated.

The online system was put in and checked for drive up unit and one was not provided through the online system. A refund for issued for later but was run again for a new unit. When we got to the unit, it was locked and we had to go back in again. Then the alarm was disarmed 3 times and still went off. This cut valuable time into our Uhaul truck we had rented through a different location closer to where we were moving because they were out of available storage units.

The associate was super friendly, fast and totally helpful. My second visit to upgrade went very well (associate helpful) but the second unit that I was upgrading to had floors that were dusty/dirty and riddled with rat/mouse poop. Also the floors by the lighting fixtures (corners) had a lot of dead insects. Also there are not enough carts available.

First thing first I just moved her to Albuquerque from Michigan 4 days ago. The place where I actually had to drop my Uhaul at did not have any storage space, so I came across 1801 Atrisco Dr and I meet Joseph!!! He is wonderful!!! First he was so welcoming to us being newbies here in Albuquerque. And he was even able to let us check our truck in at this location. When he showed us our storage space he was very thorough. He also gave the customers in front of us that same treatment so I know he does it with everyone. The next day he was even more helpful along with his coworker Isiah. Joseph needs employee of the money and a bonus. He is top notch and our family really appreciated him.

Bree o. | Expérience généraleLast time I used uhaul was July 2020 had no problems renting a truck with my DX card issued to my by the federal govt for my retirement benefits to be monthly deposited . I thought all locations were managed within the same boundaries ; however I have learned this is not the case. When I went online to reserve a truck I used the same process I used the last time I used uhaul got the same prompts saying that I couldn't use my DX card to rent the van but I was able to rent a small truck with my DX card. This time I reserved the truck ,went on the day of pickup and without running my card my form of payment was denied . So for the first time in over 30 years I left without getting the truck . When I got home I called my Son's widow my failure to getting the truck because of their "NEW" rental requirements she had to call a friend to pick her up to bring her to U-Haul to pay for the rental . The bottom line is this uhaul should have plainly stated all the requirements needed to rent U-Haul equipment on the U-Haul home page and not have a runaround !!! I had no problem reserving the truck with my DXCard but it was denied as payment . What kind of run-around is that.
Stephen L. | Premières impressionsWe arrived at the storage facility a few minutes before 9 am as we had scheduled movers to come at 9 to help us move the contents of an apartment. We were not able to enter with our access card. There was another man who had been waiting there since 7 am also, unable to enter. When that man saw an employee, he asked to let him in. The employee yelled back from the parking lot " just swipe your card" when the man responded that he had, the employee said "you probably didn't pay". At that point I said,"I can't get in either", to which he yelled "did you pay?' I said yes, to which he said sorry I have to move these trucks, you're just going to have to wait. When my movers arrived, I again implored him to open the facility, since the movers were paid by the minute. The employee then did open the main door, and said if you open your unit it's going to alarm, and I can't deal with it until later. We moved out our things, and when we were getting close to the end, I went to the front office and joined a long line of customers, and when I arrived at the service counter, I asked to close the account. The same employee asked if I was finished moving everything, and when I responded we are almost done, He said you can't close it until you are completely finished. I asked "would I have to wait in line again while my movers stand by waiting?" He said, yes. The fact that your storage facility is supposed to open at 5 am according to the sign, but didn't open until after 9am, and the rude unhelpful behavior of the staff is why I'm giving a poor rating.

I called Erik, the general manager, and was very disappointed with his customer service. He denied helping all of us get access and said that we could come back tomorrow if we wanted. Some people had to leave because they had to return their rental trucks. We were outside of the building for about 2 hours calling customer service and trying to figure everything out until the manager finally decided to show up and open a door for everyone. We had to fit our very large furniture through a normal sized door... It was a complete nightmare. I am never using your services again and will make sure to let everyone else know as well.

The large double sliding doors do not work with our code only the single door, which makes it difficult to use any type of moving device such as a dolly, or cart or mover anything large through the single door. The 3 day we went to the rental there was a tag in the unit which said we were denied access due to non payment. Obviously that wasn't correct as we had just secured the unit with a full months payment 3 days before. Again Had to go to the office to gain access to our unit. Only then we're we told that we had to use the provided lock, not a personal lock which we had placed in the unit. The security seems good, but hoping we have no more problems and it would be nice if the double sliding doors would open with our code.

I didn't understand if I was supposed to follow him or not, norbabout the alarm and had to kind of figure out the process on my own. Been a really long time since I had used a self storage and would have appreciated a little extra courtesy. Otherwise, I would rate average. Is very clean and appreciated access to carts at entrance to building.

Michael L. | Expérience généraleI do find it a bit conflict of interest that you are required to buy a Uhaul lock (though it is nicely discounted). If you.use another lock, they will lock you put of your unit until you buy thier lock. On my case I had recently become homeless (it's better now), and I was surviving selling items from my unit. I could not afford thier lock, and they caused me to lose sales. They were unsympathetic, even with other people arguing for me. Crappy policy. Oh and if u lose they keys to.thier lock whichl they force you to buy, they can't help you. Call locksmith at your own cost. Aside from that one thing, we s home site., security and staff.
