Booked a trailer for 8am when the store opens. Showed up at 8am and there were no employees there. Had to phone a few UHaul phone numbers until finally got patched through to the manager who showed up 40mims late. Mistakes happen, sure - but worse is nothing was done to compensate for this inconvenience. Left a 1star google review too. Very poor service here.Thomas R.

Lady at the front desk was late 51 min for work. Not dressed professionally ( trousers with holes, tattoos on arms and neck ). She could not concentrate on her work, very distracted. Her helper was asking the same question many times and he could not understand her. Saturday morning looked like Calgary Zoo. I liked this location because it was a pretty industrial park with lots of trees. I had a lovely time with the staff. Super friendly and were very helpful. Shea was awesome to talk to! I would definitely come back to this location in the future. Could use more parking for people who have to leave their cars, but other than that, no complaints here.Ixia F.

Friendly staff to deal with, online sign in sucks, wouldn't work on my iPhone, booked the uhaul at different location and found out when I arrived there the pick up was this location, very inconvenient but not any fault of this locationMatt M.

I was in a line up for 2-1/2 hrs even though I had booked my appointment! No member of staff came out in this time to mention wait times or apologize, the sun was hot and there also was no bathroom, I had to go twice in this time and had to ask the person behind me if I could re enter the line up! I had also booked the online book in, but the app was not allowing me in to complete? Even after calling customer services,! I had also booked a truck at a closer branch and had been diverted to this one! Which is further, hence makes a difference to the mileage! When I finally got to the desk the staff We're polite enough and blamed the ordeal to covid, when I suggested they should have informed people of the wait and or set the appointments further apart the response was covid being unusual circumstances! (even though covid has been around for well over a year?) Then I was informed there were no 20 ft trucks left, and was offered a 10ft truck? Half the size and twice the mileage! My appointment was 830am!! He then mentioned I could pick up somewhere else, with that he called, another branch, and booked a 20ft truck! So again I had to drive to the other branch (more fuel more time) and when I arrived there were only x2 people in the queue? So not sure why I wasn't sent there in the 1st place I had left a queue of more than 10 people still queueing? Another half an hour later I finally drove out of there! Now I had only an hour to load and unload a 20ft truck, at 20 mins apart condo's,! we had to pay 150 $for a security guard to man the door to the complex and another 20 $for mileage, and another 10 $in gas! And also over 3x hours of time lost! Not a happy customer!! ðŸ˜•Ricky M.

I picked up the van in one location. When I returned it in the same location as stated in my contract, I was told that the system said it should be in another location. I had to waste my time for that trip. When I arrived at the second location I was told I cannot leave the van at the place and was advised to go to my original pick up location. It was such a hassle and waiving a few dollars is not worth renting again. It should at least be free rental including mileage and gas. So disappointing.raul J.
Better Organized Have employees be better recognized with UHaul garb. Don't have bookings to start when the business opens. IE booked for 9 am. Store opens after 9, and then don't leave until 10 am. But the rental is still expected back as if you had the vehicle since your booking time. Lot better organized as I searched the lot for over 10 minutes locating the vehicle. Suggestion, have all vehicle types parked together.Colin D.
Our 1st time experience with uhaul and probably will be our last time. Our reservation was 10 am. And we waited in line for over an hour+to get our rental. I understand it's covid 2nd only two customers allowed in the building. However with month end lots of moving. They should have scheduled more people. After we got our rental, the gas tank was near empty. They said I'll be refund a quarter tank gas money but still waiting for confirmation and money back. Over all. Really poor organization place. I accidentally showed up after closing time. I didn't realize the location was closing at 6. The employee stayed late to help me rent a truck and without his help I would have been unable to move. I was extremely grateful for his help and the rest of the team that could have gone home and stayed a few more minutes because of me. Thank you for the great customer service!Ryan K.
Not sure if this was somehow an issue on my end, but when I went to return the UHaul after hours with the uhaul.com/share link, with the Safari app the 'verify my location' function did not work, and I spent 10-15 minutes trying to make that work (following all instructions to no avail), eventually having to download the Chrome browser, which finally worked. Nothing to do with this location in particular, just was an inconvenience regarding the returning after hours experience with UHaul.Mason M.

The key drop box was not noticeable. Looked for 1/2 hr and finally chatted with a rep then had to call and wait on hold forever again. It said it was in the front by the door when in fact the door was on the side not at the front entrance. Your key returns need to be marked better.Debra Lynn F.
It was late in the evening when we finally found a drop off location after driving around Calgary for an hour and a half, There was no one there, nor could I see a drop box for the keys, so I just locked the vehicle and left. Someone phoned me the next morning asking about the location of the keys. I told them I had them and would surrender them if somebody from the company would come and pick them up. Some snarky woman said :"that's not the way it's done; you have to deliver them to us." I was most insulted that I would have to drive in the rough part of town to drop them off. I told the nice lady who was there what had happened about burning up a quarter of a tank of petrol trying to find the place and then being given a phone number that was my own and one that that was out of service to return the truck. She was appalled at the poor service and at least didn't charge me for the extra fuel I used. You should have a clearly marked drop box for such situations.Rosa M.

The staff look like they need more training and trest people with respect more over there were 5 people at this place today the 5 of them were taking care of one customer I had to wait for 1/2 hour then I got their attention and I ask them if there was another location were I can get attended then is when they woke up and start the paper work for my reservation . I did not like being told I could not park in the Uhaul parking lot for the day while I was renting the Uhaul. The business is vehicle rentals. It is expected that people will show up in a vehicle. To say a customer of the business could not park in the lot while doing business with the company is outrageous. They did allow my vehicle to remain there while I rented, but I was put off by the whole experience and also felt rushed to get the truck back.Margot C.

The safety chains on the trailer were terrible for my vehicle. A Honda Ridgeline with factory 2" receiver. I finally figured out a way to make them work. The hook was too small to hook onto my loops and too big to go through the loopsRichard H.

I reserved a 15" truck for April 18, the system was down when we were picking up the truck, the lady at the counter did hand writing all the truck details. However, on April 21, a staff has called me two times when I was at work cuz their staff moved my rental truck on the day after my return, and they couldn't find it. U-hual charged from my credit card without sending a details receipt on April 22. I called on April 25 to request the customer service sending my receipt, and I found U-haul has over charged 5 dollars of "safe trip" which I did not order that service online, I claimed a refund from the customer service, the operator said she will leave the message to her supervisor to process the refund, however, after 5 business days since the date of my claim. Today is May 2, and I have not received a call back or refund.Yi-fu C.

The reservation was mid-handled. The vehicle I wanted wasn't available I had to go to a different location, I had a very long wait to pick up and then 2 of the 3 vehicles I was given had flat tires. The mileage was incorrect on the agreement. Overall it was ridiculous how bad this experience was and how inept the people who make the reservations and undertake customer service are!! Waited an hour in line to check out a truck. My interim driver's license was not sufficient ID, causing another delay. The booking had not mentioned photo ID is required, but at the desk that changed. The group beside me was having the same issue. Return time was not adjusted to reflect the hour delay. In return there was no system and only one staff person who could check you out. Waited another half hour just to return the truck. Equipment was fine, staff did what they could, but process was atrocious. Still looking for a better short term rental option if someone has a suggestion.Connie K.
Customer parking is an issue in this location. When you want a rental (especially truck or small van) just for the day you usually drive yourself. You park, use the rental for 4-8 hrs, return vehicle and then drive home in your own car. Be nice to at least park on street. (No parking signs for a two block radius).John C.

Took an hour to get the correct truck as the first two had issues; gave me a truck with a check engine light, then one with a flat tire. Customer service was poor and disorganized, appeared as if they had little to no training. We will be using another company next time.Ethan T.
I went to the midlake location last Saturday in Calgary to pick up Uhaul. They were on a power trip and upset me. I told them I was upset and they continued to taunt me so I told them off.
