We did after-hours drop off. There were problems with the final bill that I had to call and have fixed. It all had to do with me checking "are you flexible?" option on the website. For extra miles (150 instead of 107), an extra day and a $70 discount, I agreed to a drop off location 43 miles away from my closest one. I ended up getting charged for an extra day, plus those fees. I was able to resolve this with a 15 min. phone call. However, I was not given the 150 allowed miles.... for some reason it dropped down to 122 allowed miles. So I ended up having to pay an extra $11.20 plus tax for an extra 28 miles - for doing Uhaul the favor of dropping at a farther location.

When we first booked our moving truck, we had to reschedule twice due to escrow which was at a location down the street 3/10ths of a mile going west bound. When we arrived at this location they told us our reservation was up the street. When we showed up at the location they provided us, there were two big U-Haul trucks at a car dealership. Problem was, they weren’t there. The place didn’t open until 10 a.m. and we were scheduled to pick up our truck at 7 am. When we called the number provided on the door we received a voicemail and couldn’t reach anyone. We returned to this location and explained our situation and they gladly offered a location transfer so they could help us. The transfer was approved and we were able to get a truck. Once we were provided the truck, the inspector provided us a $65 credit toward fuel because it was on fumes. Fortunately, there was a fuel station on the other corner of the intersection. Turned out the fuel gauge wouldn’t go down a whole lot while the truck was driving but once you shut the truck off and restarted it, the correct fuel level would register. All in all, I would give this location the best rating possible! The customer service and friendliness was phenomenal from everyone and they went above and beyond to help us get in a truck as we had to be completely moved out of our rental house by 1 pm!

I did online checkout and the vehicle I was assigned to get was being driven away when I got there . Changed vehicle 5 times because I was unable to find the trucks assigned to me thru the app . Workers there are so overwhelmed they try not to acknowledge you walking back and forth looking lost . Finally pinned one down and found out they wanted me to know that there are more trucks thru the maintenance area out a back door . Duh me - I guess .

The staff was rude and one of the employees came over to me and said I could not park in the parking are but I was doing a 24/7 drop off and the U-Haul instructions on the website were to find a parking area and continue the process for the return. I tried to explain that him but he then raised his voice and got a aggressive posture and a aggressive tone with me. I am a active duty military member and I did a tour in the Middle East serving my country and Our rights and I was treated like trash. He’s a Hispanic male wore a grey collared shirt and had some facial hair black hair with somewhat of a medium complexion about 5-10”-6” ft height 150-170 weight, skinny body type.

This Saturday I reserved a Auto Transport and did the online check in. My reservations were at 6pm and I did not get out utill about 7:30pm . At about 7pm there were 6 people in line and not one Uhaul employee in the store for at least 20 min. When I was finally checked in and i was told to go to back and wait for the next available person to hook up my trailer. I waiting by my truck for another 20 min and nobody arrived so I went though my bill and found the equipment number of my trailer and hooked it up myself. I then pulled up to the front and told the employee that I hooked it up myself because I could wait anymore. Not a good experience... I have a Uhaul dealer a lot closer but I usually have good service here. I would like a call back once you look into this. Thank you, Javier Avitia

Even though we pre-registered we still had to wait in line for a half an hour because there was only one person running the show. The person that assisted us was very busy doing four or five different jobs the information that was downloaded onto my phone did not work and there were no exes anywhere to point out where dings or dents were on the vehicle we were told to just cake video which I find very alarming and disturbing yes if he would have had more help I probably would have been nicer but I was irritated and his attitude irritated me more and I went to buy a tarp that was clearly marked clearly on the Shelf at a price marked that I thought was too good to pass up when I took it up it rang up twice the amount which if the man had more time I might have been able to show him on the display shelf where it was clearly set at a wrong price however that didn't happen sell overall it was average in my husband's eyes in my eyes it was below average almost borderline poor

I was asked for a second phone number they could contact to verify I was whom I was suppose to be. I had multiple I.D. and was using a credit card. Most people I knew were working with no way to get a hold of them. This slowed down the line of people waiting to check in which I had done online a few days before my pick up date. Surely this is a waste of time with all the state and bank issued identifications I had and let a real sour taste.

Online "check-in" is completely pointless. I still had to talk to a store rep before I received my rental. Which brings up my next complaint. I waited over one-half hour while the reps took care of the THREE customers ahead of me. When It was finally my turn, I practically had to check in all over again which I thought i had already done online. Again, online check-in was a waste of time. I received my rental which just was plain old and outdated. To their credit it was very clean. After using the truck I returned to the facility and i noticed what looked like a completely destroyed couch located in front of an unknown door that's located on the same side of the front entrance; completely visible to street and traffic. The employees were cleaning out other u-haul trucks with the truck radios blasting music. This was my first and last time using u-haul. Your per-mile prices were ten cents higher than your local competitors (1.09 vs .99). I checked.

It took forever after I paid for the rental to get someone to get me the vehicle. Employees don't seem enthusiastic to help. I had to go look for someone to help me get the vehicle. Some worker who was on break was able to help me because he saw my frustration. No quality customer service. Will rather go travel elsewhere to a Uhaul that is friendlier.

U-haul implemented a new policy, where 2 phone numbers need to be called to confirm knowing the renter. Most people are working during the week or don't answer unknown numbers. This new requirement created long delays and a line out the door. I reserved online and still needed to run through the same checks. What's the purpose of reserving online?

Waited one hour to get a reserved rental trailer only to find out that it was double booked for that day and if I wanted it for that day I would have to bring it back by 5:30 pm. Not happy.

The padlock was never taken off the rear loading dock of the truck as well I paid for a hand truck and never received one. I lost a quarter of a day for my move as well had to spend extra money to get the truck ready when it should have been done prior to me picking it up. Please shop elsewhere prior to using U-Haul.

The service at that location is not good. When I spoke to the Manager my concerns were not important. I have been using UHaul since 2009 every month I rent the trailer to pull my tables and chairs. Or the cargo van. I have used many Uhaul facilitites with Altadena being the Best. But it seems Uhaul change there employees very fast.

The experience overall was typical for truck rental. It's the cistomer service that needs improvement. Was there nearly an hour with system errors not allowing me to upload new pics when updating the photos of truck to mark damage not x'd before renting. It was ridiculous people arriving for rental after me left before me. Dropped off truck at pomona location with Miguel Rios he was superb and his customer service provided was fantastic.

The check-in process needs improvement. I had a reservation but still had to wait in line for 45 minutes to to check in for the trailer. I had already filled out all the information online for checking in. Once I was up there, took maybe 5 minutes and I was done. The problem with the line is everyone trying to come in without a reservation and take 10min+ of the employees time.

Im 5 my months pregnant and I waited in line for over an hour. I even came an 1.5 hours early than my pickup time. They forgot to put my dolly in the trailer and when I was picking up they had to change my whole contract into my fiancé name because I didn't have my phone to answer the call to verify. I've rented from uhaul a few times and never had to have my cell phone on me to verify.

Long lines kept us tied up for over 30 minutes. We were also kept waiting as the representative was dealing with an irate customer on the phone, arguing over a $4.13 bill. And this was done over a speaker phone. We heard it completely. You need to invest in better service and training for your staff.

I don't appreciate being being over charged over $200 I will take care of this in the morning when I speak with customer service very unfortunate it's not up to par. Because of the unsafe practice of scanning a customers drivers license every time, it should be discontinued. I was denied a rental because my renewed license had not arrived in the mail. I had all the proof my license was valid. Because I renewed online, which the DMV encourages drivers to do, you do not get the same paperwork that you get when you go there and wait for hours. That is the only proof Uhaul will accept. That is unfair and ridiculous especially since I have been renting trailers and trucks at least 3 to 4 times a month at the same location for my business for 10 years. I could have lost thousands of dollars this past weekend with this stupid policy. You have no idea where this scanned information is going, how it is being used or if it is safe.

I had to go find the UHAUL employee (no one at the sales counter ) when trying to rent the truck. After walking around the yard to find anyone I found a person that took me back inside and he went to back room and got someone. (10-15 minute waste of my time). I had a similar issue when trying to return the truck. The counter person finally told me the office person would help me in a bit --- 10-15 minutes later a person comes out of the dark window office and helps me. If you could reduce these 2 wait times of about 15 minutes down to 2-5 minutes I would consider this a great place to rent

Set up for early morning pickup through mobile device uhaul never set it up on the end, cost me 2 1/2 hours I did not account for because of there mistake. The was someone else the same thing happened to. Called customer service 5 times that morning and one time sent to road side assistance terrible no knee could do anything about it. I would have thought that uhaul was way better than anyone else's but I guess I was wrong. No I will not recomend this place to anyone. Slap the person who helped me at the counter took pictures of my driver's license on what looked like his personal phone made me feel real uncomfortable after I did everything on line days before.

The whole experience was excellent. The young lady who helped me wss very professional, courteous and went beyond to make sure the transaction went smooth. Also the gentleman eho checked out the truck to me was very professional, friendly and courteous.

Customer service was a little slow when I did the express check in online, the problem wasn’t the employees the problem was the system that was super slow for the employees to check out customers I seriously was waiting for 40 minutes. I love U-Haul but it’s makimg me doubt in the future if the problem happens again next time.

I did reservation at 12:30 to pick up equipment I show up at 1:05 pm , person from the desk delay a lot time . All person need move on quickly all time when needed Wait for service spends total in out 1hour 15 minutes total , person out side when do service for pick up are so slow they don’t care looks frustrated person . Poor service

Worst customer service ever. No truck available after I reserved it the day before. No such thing as a free month of storage with a one way rental at this location. Lazy attendant too.

You guys need an elevator in that storage or a ramp of some sort. Loading things on a cart to then take them down stairs to another cart is really inefficient. Should be cheaper for the inconvenience.
