I am NOT complaining on this specific location(Fontana). I reserve my 20 moving truck at alabama st in Redlands they couldn't get me the truck I need so I was sent to Pomona to pick up a new truck. As soon as I got there I was told the truck isn't available. Then eventually was sent to Fontana to get the truck. I left at 8 am and got home after 11 am with a truck. No compensation to the lyft rides I spent going to and from different uhaul locations. I will not be doing any business with uhaul from now on.

I'm sorry this my second time here I was dreading on coming back here this the only location close to me. The customer service just sucks. No explanation or information giving to us they are such in a hurry to get us out to help the next customer. I rent trailer the number of the trailer didn't match on the contract the guy who attended us didn't say a word. Good thing I double check everything before leaving I went back inside to tell him that he was like" yeah we send you a new contract later with the right information". I'm glad I took pictures all around just in case.

I went in to reserve in one place. 2 days b4 pick up, I was asked to pick up somewhere else. The day of the pick up, they wanted me to pick up 1 to 2 hrs away. It was awful. I had to pick up 30 min away, finally, and a smaller truck without lift or equip. To move stuff.

My truck was very Dusty inside. I couldn't put the seat up. I told the manager and she was very rude about it. I had to go back home and get a pillow to sit on or I could drive the truck better.... I always rent from you guys and never had this bad experience before.....

Inside of cab was filthy and broken glass was inside box. It would be more helpful if the UHaul employee walked around the vehicle with the customer instead of just walking away.

Where do I begin? The pickup was fine. The drop off was an absolute fail. One of the two customer service agents working left? No explanation, I guess it was break time. Fine. What wasn't fine was the poor young man working the counter, obviously stressed at the long line and in need of help. I waited for 40 minutes just to drop the rental off and I was next?!? FUBAR.

There should be some type of FULL proof communication with representatives when customers place an order for service. If a U-Haul worker place an order and the day of pickup may not fall on their day to be on site there shouldn't be any issues picking up truck or equipment. That was my experince on yesterday. There wasnt any kind of evidence in the data base of my request of pickup location, or drop off. I thought the email stating location was good enough proof that I in fact had placed an order i started the morning on a cat and mouse chase and once got to location I had to stand in line and repeat same process all over again. The associate wasnt helpful of even bothered to investigate the info on email

I had a 9:00 reservation. Arrived closer to 9:30. Checking in online, still had to wait in line. There were 8 customers in front of me. After about 20 minutes, it was my turn. While I was speaking to the woman at the counter, another uhaul employee came in and asked “who is driving the white truck”. I responded that it was me. He said “can you move it?” I response “sure.” After about ten seconds, he said “now”. I moved it as requested, then completed my transaction at the counter. I pulled my truck up to the trailer and waited. After about 15 minutes, I hooked it up myself. The guy finally came out. He said “was I rude to you inside?” I said “yes”. He apologized and was a nice guy. But my take away was that I will never come back to this location. To add insult to injury, the straps on the car hauler didn't work and I had to buy my own to secure the vehicle.

Counter person and lot technician were helpful. This AT never had tail lights. Brake and turn signal lights were operable. Required use of emergency flashers for last 50 miles on return.

You need more attendants to sign people up for their rentals. Our pick up was for 9am and we arrived at 8:40am. There was only one person helping the line and it took us until 9:30am to get helped only to find out that the truck we had reserved wasn't available. She did however find us a similar truck a bit smaller for a cheaper price right then. So that helped. But need more employees or different system.

I think that the customer service department was very skillful and knowledgeable. I appreciated their help every step of the way. The maintenance of the trucks are a little frightening. They are very noisy and when you press the brake it makes a lot of noise. Its as scaring us. Outside of that everything was great!!

The ease of the on-line reservation was really good. However, the utility dolly I reserved was not in my truck. I had to return to pick up the dolly. Attention to detail would be a big improvement and a miles/time saver.

Get rid of the clerk with the extreme tattoos and large pierced ears. His name is Julio I think. He argued with me and almost threatened me. Luckily for him I am older now, I used wisdom instead of my fist, and went to the General Mgr. She was amazing and took care of my needs. I will walk out next time he is there. I have used this location over the past 20 years living in the area and have never had an issue except with this individual. Thx for listening.

He is the definition of a true Team Player and takes great pride in his work and represents Uhaul fully. This is the type of individual destined for a Management level Position. thank you

This location did not have enough workers. I had a reservation at 8:00 but did get to the counter 9:00. I waited an hour which interferes with my time needed to move. Also you guys charged way too much for the gas. It was 10.00 for me driving only 4 miles. That was ridiculous!

Found two roaches in back of truck. The inside of truck there was cat food everywhere and smelt badly of cigarettes. The truck also smelt like cat pee or some awful smell in the back . Don't feel it was well sanitized either during this pandemic.

This location needs to be more efficient picking up and dropping off rentals. Employees were kind but had no sense and urgency to move customers along. The return was especially a giant time waster

How a lot of things to work on. First of all the lines are extremely long and go outside the store to get help. And this is because the employees don't work fast enough to help the customers. Second, the representative that helped me was in finish helping another customer in there for West taking longer to help each of us. This is not acceptable. She either helps one customer or the other. When I did the process to pick up my truck using the mobile option The system assigned me my truck and when I went to pick up the keys inside a customer Wes are ready giving my truck. This was a whole mess in an acceptable way of providing service to customers. I had to wait even longer to sort it out and get another truck because the customer took my truck. I also had paid to rent a furniture dolly and that's not what I was provided. When I had to return my truck I was charged the amount of the first truck assigned to me which was taken by the other customer, and the price of the truck that I was provided as a replacement. It took hours to fix this plus the hours that he took to get the truck initially. This is the worst service that you can get. I do have to say that The manager fixed my building in the end but all of this experience was really unnecessary if everything had been done the right way since the beginning.

I rented a 20' truck and had planned to drive it to where my husband was unloading things but I am 5' 2” and literally could not see the sides or back because the mirrors are manual and I am too short. I went in to try to get a smaller truck but was made to wait in a long line again (even though I had checked in online initially which the recording says it supposed to cut my wait time in half. It didn't!) and when I explained the situation, they told me the mirrors are manual so there is nothing they could to. I told them it isn't safe to drive a truck if you can't see anything and they agreed but wouldn't give me a smaller one. So I had to drive my car back to get my husband so he could drive it. And it was literally on empty. I asked if they could put gas in it and they said they don't have gas on the lot! Also, I reserved a furniture dolly and 6 blankets but those weren't on the truck. Overall, not a great experience.

Find employees who give a damn. I stood in line waiting in a line of 1; me, for about 20 minutes. I thought having checked in online would give me an edge, but agents don't even acknowledge your presence. Slow with their current customers and no sense of urgency. When returned the rental trailer I followed what the sign read, "Stop here, someone will be out to help you" ;not verbatim, NO ONE came out. Two employees where having a personal conversation outside where I was waiting, I asked one of them if someone was going to help me and he walked away while pointing and I asked "where? inside?" He just pointed again and walked away. Didn't get his name but he is the tattooed gentleman. I drove around back, parked and unhooked trailer, went inside and dropped the receipt on counter and left, for good. I was going to call manager at this establishment but if the agents are like this then I'm sure he or she already knows and they just don't care.

The manager (Denise) was asked to call and e-mail me numerous times. In August I My credit card was charged for a Ubox that I no longer used. My Ubox was delivered August 12th. I made numerous calls to get my refund. I was specifically asked if I wanted the manager to call or e-mail me. I had asked for both... a call to confirm and e-mail to prove it would be taken car of. Neither was done.

The only reason I would not recommend this facility to a friend is because they have regular sized doors instead of the garage pull up doors so it was hard to place things . The height of the storage isn’t very high. And the hallways to the storage are narrow . I know this is a storage but they have mouse traps inside of the unit which takes a little space and it’s a little sketchy because I’ve never seen traps inside storage could be a good or a bad thing. If you don’t have large couches to move in this space would be good for you . Also Miguel knows how to handle difficult customers. I was helped by him initially and he was very pleasant but when I came back I received another girl which was pleasant as well and then was helped by another girl which complicated certain things because they did not relay messages on . I would rather have been helped by one person .

You guys need an elevator in that storage or a ramp of some sort. Loading things on a cart to then take them down stairs to another cart is really inefficient. Should be cheaper for the inconvenience.
