I called made my reservation. An hour before my appointment I did the Express Check in, then got the location to wait 1/2 hour in line, then 20 minutes to complete the check in. Then to return, the only outside person was filling propane tanks while 7 of us waited to return our rentals in 100 degrees

Upon arrival at approximately 10:20am, I finally spoke with the rental agent @11:30. Over one hour in a (6) person line. Also returning the trailer I had to wait approximately 30 minutes to check the rental. Vary poor customer service and I feel like we should feel great full they are there for us.

Awful. Do not go here! Do not spend your money here. What a joke of a place! I made an appointment for 8:30am to get a trailer hitch installed on my vehicle. Took 15 minutes to be greeted and helped by the girl working the front desk. She says the installer doesn't get here for another 10 minutes. I asked what time is she supposed to be here. She says 9. Well it's now 9:24 and still no installer. Apparently she texted she's on her way. Why would they let me make an appointment for 8:30 if no one is scheduled until 9? I already paid in full online, so now I just wait. We should be done by now. Install takes 45 minutes. Instead we've been waiting that long and nothing has happened. So completely annoyed and frustrated. Bottom line, do not do business here. They don't value the customer at all. I spoke to the manager Jim and he was no help. He said trailer hitch installation is not his department. Larry, the guy working outside, was nice and pleasant. He greeted us kindly. The installer showed up at 9:25, she is also the General Manager!! It's now 10:45 and installation is not complete. Who do I complain to when the person who was late is the person in charge? The front desk girl left at 11:15am with a line of people inside and no one to help them. My vehicle was finished at 11:24am. No apology. Nothing. The installer and General Manager, Denise was friendly but offered no apology and no explanation to why she was 55 minutes late for our appointment and why the installation took 2 hours from the time she arrived. We spent almost 3 hours waiting. Totally unacceptable. I hope the trailer hitch was installed well.

This location was very helpful even though I reserved my truck from another U-Haul dealer across the street from them at 16666 Foothill Blvd. That dealer was not on property at 10 am as stated on the Uhaul website and as was posted on their premises. I waited for nearly 20 minutes and also called their office and only got a recording. Thankfully the other U-Haul dealer assisted me quickly and had a truck ready for me in minutes.

Add more staff. I rented a pickup truck and a car hauler the pickup truck had a lot of unmarked damage and was dirty inside and out the representative did not explain how to load the vehicle onto the trailer and secure it and the pickup truck that I received was the only one there and the spare tire was on the driver side rear and the regular tire was flat underneath the vehicle. I cannot go to another location and pick up a pickup truck being that it was too late in the evening. Being that the staff there is very overworked and overwhelmed and understaffed in my opinion the individual didn't care about my concerns about the truck or the trailer just wanted to get on to the next person which really limits my experience or me having a good experience and feeling comfortable with this sometimes being the largest in the world is about always being the best customer service should have more of a higher priority than what it does at this location. But I guess the U-Haul model is we're here where there were everywhere if you need it we got it take it as it is.

We reserved a truck online for pick up on 6/30 at 7:00am, when we went to check in online we were notified that we could not pick up until 9am then waited over 2 hours to get the truck. The pick up location also changed after my reservation was made.

When calling I received mixed information on the car hauler trailer I was asking to rent. When I picked up the trailer the employee helping me load the trailer onto my truck was the most helpful employee. He explained every working part and how to use them. When returning the trailer there were six large trucks being returned and they were blocking the entrance to the parking area and out into the street. It was a traffic hazard and I drove around to the back thru an ally. When I got inside there were six employees working and only one return was being helped at a time. The other employee's were just watching and walking around. One was even sitting on a fork lift for fifteen minutes until I walked over and asked her is there anyone that can help me. She said just wait our turn and we will be with you as soon as we can. Then I pointed out that there were vehicles blocking the entry way and she said well we are trying to get them into the lot as soon as we can. I pointed out to her that there was two vehicles that were parked blocking the exit and no one was even around them. She said I know there were moved there to keep others from driving in the exit.???

30 people in line with reservations, and you only have one employee checking in the rentals. I was 6th in line and it took 55 min to get to the counter. You have to call to confirm the rental 15 minutes on hold then you disconnect. Then another 20 minutes on hold. Since you txt me with the rental confirmation , I should be able to txt back my confirmation. The web site just loops when you try to access your account. When you enter the access code it defaults back to the log in page. For a company that’s been in business as long as U haul you would think you would have worked out the bugs in your systems by now. Customer service obviously is not important to U haul.

The guy upfront didn’t know how to do anything at all. I did the complete checkout on my phone just to have to stand in line and have the front counter guy harass me and make me go through the complete check out process again & then for him to completely do it wrong and charge me twice and then for him to continuously threaten to not give me a rental because I wasn’t “smiling” or flirting back with him. Then for him to cancel my reservation when I already had paid & him forcing me to order a huge truck that I didn’t need. And THEN they forgot to take a lock off the back of the truck, & then I couldn’t get anyone to fix the double charge because it took them over 24 hours to check my truck back in. I will never use uhaul again. I’m surprised they gave me my money money after they double charged me but I honestly would like all my money back. They made my move 100% more stressful and pushed me back a whole day to move costing me more money. I’m sorry but this was the worst experience I could have ever imagined

The transaction was very fairly smooth. However they did leave the lock to the roll up door on the truck and I had to pay someone to get it cut off. I didn't want to spend extra money on gas nor did I have the time to drive back. That was a big inconvenience and I wasn't offered any compensation for it. Other than that everything else was decent

From the 1st location who REFUSED TO RENT ME THE TRUCK CAUSING ME TO SPEND ONE HOUR ON THE PHONE WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE TO FIND A NEW LOCATION, TO THE NEW LOCATION THAT HAD ME WAITING IN LINE FOR ONE HOUR BEFORE I REACHED THE FRONT. I waited an hour And a half to get my order processed. There was only one person working most of the time, finally a second person came but it made very little difference. The wait was ridiculously long. One thing you could do to improve the situation is to get more U-Haul workers to manage the line. Another thing that could be done is to upgrade the software on the computers to match the software on smart phones; what I mean by this is that I had pre-checked in, but none of the information made it to the main computers at U-Haul

Have more people working your counter to check in reservations. When someone reserves a 15ft truck dont give it away. I waited in line for an hour to be directed to the counter where someone briefly helped me then started helping someone that was behind me in line. Then I had to wait while 2 other employees helped other customers at the computer on the counter I was at. That's absolutely ridiculous I should have been helped first as I was the next customer in line. Very unhappy with the services!

The first truck I was given had a turn signal missing. The truck I finally ended up with was leaking either brake fluid or power steering fluid all over the place. The truck made the worst noises when braking and turning. Additionally, a section of the tie-off/guard rails inside the cargo area was broken off. Overall the process of renting the truck and having the ability to turn in after hours was pleasant, aside from some mysterious Male lingering in the parking lot whom I had to call Fontana PD for.

We did after-hours drop off. There were problems with the final bill that I had to call and have fixed. It all had to do with me checking "are you flexible?" option on the website. For extra miles (150 instead of 107), an extra day and a $70 discount, I agreed to a drop off location 43 miles away from my closest one. I ended up getting charged for an extra day, plus those fees. I was able to resolve this with a 15 min. phone call. However, I was not given the 150 allowed miles.... for some reason it dropped down to 122 allowed miles. So I ended up having to pay an extra $11.20 plus tax for an extra 28 miles - for doing Uhaul the favor of dropping at a farther location.

When we first booked our moving truck, we had to reschedule twice due to escrow which was at a location down the street 3/10ths of a mile going west bound. When we arrived at this location they told us our reservation was up the street. When we showed up at the location they provided us, there were two big U-Haul trucks at a car dealership. Problem was, they weren’t there. The place didn’t open until 10 a.m. and we were scheduled to pick up our truck at 7 am. When we called the number provided on the door we received a voicemail and couldn’t reach anyone. We returned to this location and explained our situation and they gladly offered a location transfer so they could help us. The transfer was approved and we were able to get a truck. Once we were provided the truck, the inspector provided us a $65 credit toward fuel because it was on fumes. Fortunately, there was a fuel station on the other corner of the intersection. Turned out the fuel gauge wouldn’t go down a whole lot while the truck was driving but once you shut the truck off and restarted it, the correct fuel level would register. All in all, I would give this location the best rating possible! The customer service and friendliness was phenomenal from everyone and they went above and beyond to help us get in a truck as we had to be completely moved out of our rental house by 1 pm!

Workers there are so overwhelmed they try not to acknowledge you walking back and forth looking lost . The staff was rude and one of the employees came over to me and said I could not park in the parking are but I was doing a 24/7 drop off and the U-Haul instructions on the website were to find a parking area and continue the process for the return. I tried to explain that him but he then raised his voice and got a aggressive posture and a aggressive tone with me. I am a active duty military member and I did a tour in the Middle East serving my country and Our rights and I was treated like trash. He’s a Hispanic male wore a grey collared shirt and had some facial hair black hair with somewhat of a medium complexion about 5-10”-6” ft height 150-170 weight, skinny body type.

This Saturday I reserved a Auto Transport and did the online check in. My reservations were at 6pm and I did not get out utill about 7:30pm . At about 7pm there were 6 people in line and not one Uhaul employee in the store for at least 20 min. When I was finally checked in and i was told to go to back and wait for the next available person to hook up my trailer. I waiting by my truck for another 20 min and nobody arrived so I went though my bill and found the equipment number of my trailer and hooked it up myself. I then pulled up to the front and told the employee that I hooked it up myself because I could wait anymore. Not a good experience... I have a Uhaul dealer a lot closer but I usually have good service here. I would like a call back once you look into this. Thank you, Javier Avitia

Even though we pre-registered we still had to wait in line for a half an hour because there was only one person running the show. The person that assisted us was very busy doing four or five different jobs the information that was downloaded onto my phone did not work and there were no exes anywhere to point out where dings or dents were on the vehicle we were told to just cake video which I find very alarming and disturbing yes if he would have had more help I probably would have been nicer but I was irritated and his attitude irritated me more and I went to buy a tarp that was clearly marked clearly on the Shelf at a price marked that I thought was too good to pass up when I took it up it rang up twice the amount which if the man had more time I might have been able to show him on the display shelf where it was clearly set at a wrong price however that didn't happen sell overall it was average in my husband's eyes in my eyes it was below average almost borderline poor

I was asked for a second phone number they could contact to verify I was whom I was suppose to be. I had multiple I.D. and was using a credit card. Most people I knew were working with no way to get a hold of them. This slowed down the line of people waiting to check in which I had done online a few days before my pick up date. Online "check-in" is completely pointless. I still had to talk to a store rep before I received my rental. Which brings up my next complaint. I waited over one-half hour while the reps took care of the THREE customers ahead of me. When It was finally my turn, I practically had to check in all over again which I thought i had already done online. Again, online check-in was a waste of time. I received my rental which just was plain old and outdated. To their credit it was very clean. After using the truck I returned to the facility and i noticed what looked like a completely destroyed couch located in front of an unknown door that's located on the same side of the front entrance; completely visible to street and traffic. The employees were cleaning out other u-haul trucks with the truck radios blasting music. This was my first and last time using u-haul. Your per-mile prices were ten cents higher than your local competitors (1.09 vs .99). I checked.

It took forever after I paid for the rental to get someone to get me the vehicle. Employees don't seem enthusiastic to help. I had to go look for someone to help me get the vehicle. Some worker who was on break was able to help me because he saw my frustration. No quality customer service. Will rather go travel elsewhere to a Uhaul that is friendlier.

Location is short staffed. I arrived at 8:40am for my 9am reservation. It took an hour before I had keys to the truck. Several customers in line expressed the same frustration of long wait times.

U-haul implemented a new policy, where 2 phone numbers need to be called to confirm knowing the renter. Most people are working during the week or don't answer unknown numbers. This new requirement created long delays and a line out the door. I reserved online and still needed to run through the same checks. What's the purpose of reserving online?

Then when we got to the front of the line they didn’t have the equipment we had order and could only say while we’re sorry, my husband had to be very persistent for them to even help find a different solution!!

You guys need an elevator in that storage or a ramp of some sort. Loading things on a cart to then take them down stairs to another cart is really inefficient. Should be cheaper for the inconvenience.
