Both employees we dealt with were the most rude people I have ever seen in customer service. The person who checked us in would not take my id he made me do it all online while I was standing in front of him. Then he insulted another customer who has special needs and told him that he didn't know what he was talking about. Then the person who set up the trailer was cussing and very rude as well. When we returned the trailer it was different story because the manager was there. We will never rent from this location again due to the rude employees there

Went to this location to pick up a 26' truck, enter the store no one was in store for about 20mins. Got the truck and while driving I notice bad brake pedal feel and left head light was out.

tow dolly had oil all over it. could have been presure washed first. also i only needed the trailer for like 28 hours but had to pay for 2 full days. there sould be an hourly rate available.

U-Haul rep looked under truck suspecting exhaust leak and said "you should be fine". I believe his name was Eric Ramirez. U-Haul truck battery dies at 9pm. Nothing was left in while loading and unloading. Roadside assistance sent servicer. Provider said battery was completely dead, the catalytic converter had no support as someone had taken bolts off, and exhaust hose was loose, which explained why the truck was so loud and there were fumes in the cab. Battery was replaced and everything else was fixed. The thing is, the U-Haul rep KNEW there was a problem and still gave me the truck coupled with the fact that I had been driving around loading and unloading for 12 hours. Serious safety hazard. If the catalytic converter had broken off, open flames would have caused a much more serious issue. U-Haul needs to ensure they are maintain safe vehicles for people to rent. I also ordered an appliance dolly and was given a regular dolly making my move that much more difficult.

Clerck upfront during drop off, did not register my vehicle. I received a call the next day regarding my drop-off making the situation wired and with the risk that damage could happen to it after the fact.

We had an appointment for 9am to have our hitch installed. When our driver arrived, we were told that the installer wouldn't be there until after 11am. We were told that our appointment was not confirmed even though we had a confirmation email and the driver had a copy with him.

Maybe have at least 2 people helping the customers at the counter in addition to the guy outside. I waited a little more than 30 minutes in line to get service. The one guy at the counter was not only helping 3 people at a time, but he was also answering the phone. On Saturday morning, at leadt two attendants at the counter are needed.

The truck was dirt and the bed had alot of debree from a drywall trashout, plus the truck reeked of marijuana. Next the return attendant stated that she could charge me a extra for bring back the truck dirty, but was filling generous and wasn't going to charge me this time. I didnt even comment! I did include this on the vehicle check in report that the truck was dirty!

When I came in to pick up the trailer I reserved, I told the guy behind the counter that I had an employee discount code from a relative, he called it a VIP or BIP code. I told him my cousin said to give the code "at the beginning of the process" and customer service had told me to give the code at the beginning of checkout when picking up the rental. The guy at the counter however told me that's incorrect, and I need to give the code when I drop off the rental. So I said okay. And when we came back and dropped off the rental, I was not aware that the act of disconnecting the trailer around back where they are stored is considered "checkout". I thought we checked out when coming into the office and coming to the checkout counter. So apparently we "checked out" without knowing it, and then came inside to give the guy the discount code (the person who was at the counter when we picked up the rental was not there when we came back to drop off the rental). This guy said it was supposed to be done at the beginning, and I said Yeah, I know, but the guy who was at the counter in the morning said NO, do it at the end. So while it did take like 15 minutes for the second guy (the one who was there after we dropped off the rental) to work something out, we were still able to get the discount (at least I hope so? Because he wasn't able to give me a printout or anything showing that I was given the discount or refund equivalent to the discount - I'll have to check my bank account in a few days). So my complaint is: I was given the correct information by my cousin AND customer service (via phone) and your employee caused this big hiccup because he insisted on using incorrect procedure. Please train your employees better so people don't run into this issue again. It was frustrating to deal with.

I was told I went over mileage which was never explained to me at the initial pick up location in Whittier. I was told that someone would reach out to me regarding the balance. Wait time was long in store. No one is at blame. I was told my account is "on hold."

I drove from 2 hours away and Miguel installed my hitch without having an appointment on a Sunday. He did it in half the estimated time. He's a life saver because I had to go pick up a motorcycle the same day close by

The biggest problem with this location is dropping off vehicles or trailers overnight can be a pain. Also lack of employees during the check out process means long lines for customer waiting to pick up there equipment

Upon returned my equipment the lady who process my receipt over charged me and she told me that I drove 24 miles instead of 4 miles, I was try to tell her it’s 4 miles but she keep looking at me with dirty eyes, and I went to spoke with manger and manager find out I was right, she needs to be well training

I have been a recurrent customer in this store. Manger Eric was great when I rented the 26' truck. When I returned the truck Miguel treated me worse than an employee is treated. I suposed I came in the wrong way with the truck and walked to the office when Miguel directed me, not asked, but directed "PARK THE TRUCK THE OPOSITE WAY UNDER THE CANOPY" I asked if I could leave the truck where it was, I was late for an appointment. He said "JUST PARK WHERE I TOLD YOU!" I turned the truck around, parked as Miguel requested. I went inside and asked Miguel for his name. Mihguel needs to know that customers should not be treated that way, regardles of his position. I am not his son for him to talk to me that way.

Overall I was pretty satisfied with the storage. The facility itself was good and my unit was never a problem. The issue I had was feeling comfortable or safe due to the people living inside certain units. I realized there wasn't just a homeless problem around the building, but that there were a few actually living inside storage units. Because of this, I was worried my unit may be broken into, but it wasn't. I NEVER allowed my wife or daughter go to the unit alone because of these people living inside units and having full access to be around at all times.

This is the best place to store your belongings bug and rodent free it’s clean and I’ve used them for years from back in the early 2000 and they are my favorite I highly recommend them for storage and the staff is awesome

Best price in town and definitely are maintained and cleaned daily. I would give recommendations to this facility to all community and public people. This storage facility has indoor units only and its climate controlled so you will never be too hot or too cold. As for security. The units close when the center closes. Its only open during operating center hours. Thank you u-haul ....

Everything was excellent, great customer service from office staff, as well as truck maintenance workers. All was great except for the house keeper, she was very rude and made my visit to my storage very uncomfortable. She had very poor customer service.

Only reason I have negative words to say about the facility is that when I started hours were to 10 pm & that what I needed well that changed cuz somebody did something. Well why should I have no access privileges especially because I was told I would. I pay my rent expect to receive what I pay for. Thank you! Who do I need to speak to? Please reply back.

My experience with this facility was the worst experience I have ever had at any business. From the moment I walked in the staff was rude, short, unhelpful and generally did not do their jobs. The first employee I encountered was Sophia. She was extremely rude from the moment we walked in. She refused to give me toilet paper for the bathroom for more than 20 minutes. She also would not tell me what unit my storage facility was or where it was located. She told me to "look at my contract". When I finally found the unit it was locked. After more than an hour of her telling me there was no key and refusing to give any further information another employee named Francisco attempted to find the key. He told Sophia he couldn't find the key and she turned around and said "that sucks". He attempted to use the keys he did find to unlock the unit and when they didn't work he started cursing and stormed off. We waited at the unit for him to come back and he never did. We had to go back to the office and I asked Sophia again if someone could please open the unit and she said "I don't have a key" and walked off. We then found Francisco again and we were told that no one had a key and wouldn't have a key until Monday. After almost two hours we finally cancelled the contract and decided we had no other choice but to try to find another storage facility at almost 7pm on a Saturday night. When we tried to retrieve our belongings from inside the storage area we discovered we were locked out. We had to wait another 20 minutes for someone to come let us in. When I asked for a managers contact info both Sophia and Francisco refused to give me that information. They also both refused to give me their names. As if all of this wasn't bad enough, when we were trying to load our belongings back into the truck another employee by the name of Timothy started video recording my minor children. When asked why he was videotaping my kids he got very aggressive and started threatening my son. He said "you better shut your mouth little boy before I beat your ***" and told him he doesn't care about his job and told my son he got off at 7 and he would fight him. There were many expletives used during this interaction in front of both me and several minor children. Timothy became so aggressive that Francisco had to hold him back from assaulting my son and tried to drag him back inside. He repeatedly fought against Francisco to come back and re-engage the altercation. I have never witnessed such unprofessional and ultimately criminal behavior on the part of employees at any other company in my life. It is my opinion that all three of these employees should be immediately terminated so that no other customer has to go through something like this in the future.

The office staff is wonderful. In the middle of the most stressfull move to date i came into the Fontana office and the staff member that helped me not only listened to me complain but seemed to genuinely listened ans did all he could to try and make it better.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! MY UBOX WAS LOST FOR MONTHS AND THEY DIDN'T ACCOMMODATE ME! SOME OF THE EMPLOYEES ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! THEY DONT ANSWER CALLS, CHECK ON RESERVATIONS, CALL CUSTOMERS BACK, UPDATE THEIR SYSTEM! NOT ONLY HAVE I HAD MULTIPLE PROBLEMS, CUSTOMERS COMING IN ALL SAY THE SAME THING! THEY NEED NEW STAFF/MANAGEMENT IMMEDIATELY! I CAN SAY THE GUYS IN THE BACK AND DAVID ALWAYS MAKE EFFORT TO MAKE SURE THE CUSTOMER IS HAPPY! EVERYONE ELSE IN THE FRONT OFFICE GIVES UHAUL FONTANA A VERY BAD REP!!!

Hi I didn't understand why ? He took a picture of my card and then when asked he stated he do that, but when I asked so why are you using it By hand in the computer 樂樂樂樂we do both he said. Explain why no answer. My card to go into the building didn't work. They tried with no idea why. So she tossed by card in the trash. She wanted 6 numbers and I asked for information on how to get in she said * then the six numbers then#. That didn't work . Three times so another client let me use his number to get inside.

Accessing storage with furniture is very difficult have to go up 3 flights of stairs with a dolly. Completely inconvenient for any person let alone someone with disabilities or an elder. Cancelled and went to another storage

U-Haul's very competitive, perhaps best, prices while not imposing a greedy move-in fee is a refreshing surprise. Getting stuff into my 2nd-floor unit without an elevator was a bit awkward, but I'm a better man --pumping iron-- without the noise, and I likely saved time. The office person forgot to give me a map of the units in the hallways, and there's no arrowed marquee and no unit numbers marked at each of the numerous halls of units and stairways leading to the 2nd-floor halls. The card swipe entry is fickle as it doesn't work on the first few swipes. Alas alack, the facility has only one dolly.

No elevator, would have never rented if I knew that before hand. But I had no choice on the spot, not even a lift to take only the storage items up to the second level. This should be prompted to the renters attention.

The lady who help me there at foothill fontana,she do my paper works for almost 1 and half hours and when I saw the storage that I want to renting my furniture not even fit in that small storage and it’s all the way on top how I’m going to put my big refrigerator,there is a stair..waisting my time that moment...and the lady who’s helping me the line was very long and she’s always talking about her drama take me for ever and I just cancell my reservation cuz the storage was very tiny and I ask first is the fridge and couch fit to that storage she said yes,omg when I saw the storage tiny small,really waste my time

Unfortunately the storage was not available. Staff offered a storage that was almost double the price so I declined. I reserved the 1st floor $59.99. Staff was nice. However, I feel like they wait until customers arrive and then are forced to modify the reservation in order to make more money. Totally unprofessional. Best Regards, Loyal Customer for years.

The only reason I would not recommend this facility to a friend is because they have regular sized doors instead of the garage pull up doors so it was hard to place things . The height of the storage isn't very high. And the hallways to the storage are narrow . I know this is a storage but they have mouse traps inside of the unit which takes a little space and it's a little sketchy because I've never seen traps inside storage could be a good or a bad thing. If you don't have large couches to move in this space would be good for you . Also Miguel knows how to handle difficult customers. I was helped by him initially and he was very pleasant but when I came back I received another girl which was pleasant as well and then was helped by another girl which complicated certain things because they did not relay messages on . I would rather have been helped by one person .

Helped my parents with a storage and was able to close out my account under my name to their name without me being present and no problems. I live in long beach and it would have been a wast of gas.

You guys need an elevator in that storage or a ramp of some sort. Loading things on a cart to then take them down stairs to another cart is really inefficient. Should be cheaper for the inconvenience.
