I’m just very disappointed that I booked a location 3 weeks in advanced and was notified 2 days before that location did not have vans. Very poor business. The owner at Hulen was very nice, it wasn’t her fault. Just sheisty business practice for U-Haul . I’ll choose a different company next time.

I was told I had 24 hours to return the truck. I returned the truck within 6 hours. It was after hours, but I have used that store before without issues. I used the app to check the truck in. I did it twice because the app was acting up. I called in trying to speak to a representative to ensure the truck was checked in properly. I received a bill for $65 where they stated they checked in the truck. I was overcharged. Called for a refund from the charges, was told the lady was off for the day. Still no callback and no refund. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THEM THIS TIME.

The door handle on the driver side was broken and had too use the passenger door too get into the van The tone of the office assistant was very rude in how he talked as if he was annoyed that we was there in the first place. I honestly would have went somewhere else if it hadn't been for the need and urgency of needing it at that time.

I had THE best experience. James was awesome and explained everything fully. The van I rented was clean and was new. I was thoroughly impressed.

My interior, climate controlled unit was overrun with mice/rats. I was informed that I had to clean out the unit and dispose of items that were destroyed, but that they would kindly store my unharmed items in a "clean" unit. I had to dispose of mattress, which was stored in a protective u-haul bag, because the rodents chewed through the covering and urinated and defecated on it. In addition, a couch, chair, wooden bookshelves and Media unit was destroyed. They also ate through boxes containing bedding, blankets, pillows, books and chewed, urinated and defecated on those items as well. Because I am out of town, I had to pay a specialized cleaner to go in and remove the items, sanitize belongings that were salvageable with a hospital grade disinfectant before reboxing. I was referred to RepWest Insurance Company which is a U-Haul company. I uploaded photos and sent billing information to the insurance company. Claim was denied. UHaul took no responsibility for this disaster or for any of the losses because I didn't opt for their insurance. I paid extra for the interior climate controlled spaces. I specifically asked if they had issues with rodents and they said never. Upon a friend finding the damage to my unit I contacted the office and told them of said damage. They appeared so surprised and said this never happens. Well.....if my unit, which contained NO food was overrun, I'm sure the other units are as well. They suck and I would never give another penny to Uhaul. Beware if you store your items through Uhaul. Either buy the extra insurance or be sure to have someone constantly checking on your unit.

I have always used UHaul for storage service. Each time I have no complaints. They informed me if there was a problem with my lock or storage being not secured. Monitoring is consistent. When I needed assistance when I was there they assisted and resolved the issue immediately. Friendly staff and service.

Total disappointment. Train agent on customer service Onslaught of mishaps from remote check-in to drop off. If you record all conversations then I would suggest you review mine when calling as a courtesy to let him know we'd be delayed. Getting yelled at over the phone was disturbing but providing no alternatives to assisting me was the worst. Poor. Unsatisfactory experience.

The lady was very friendly when I picked up the truck. When I dropped the truck it was a different story. The older man, was very rude. As soon as I arrived he went straight to the back without even greeting. In my mind I thought, maybe he is checking if I returned the all the blankets. I rented 2 sets. I did not use a set, the other set I just bunch up in a corner. I did not see the sign that said blankets should be folder or a $25 fee will be applied. I thought he was joking, because that is a ridiculous notion. So I asked are you kidding? He said no, and pointed at the sign. The he demanded fold them and put them on this corner neatly. Like if I am some kind of child. I told him if I would have known I would have folded them. He just stood there watching me fold them. I honestly thought they were washed first, that is why I just put the used ones by the corner. That was a very uncomfortable and upsetting exchange. It will definitely be the last time I use Uhual.

Infested With Pest & Rodents. Rats Destroyed 60% Of My Belongings. I Had No Food Products In Storage. I Had To Throw Away More Than I Kept Due To This. Facility Manager Is Very Rude. Complained A Lot About My Parking Although They Have The Rental Trucks Parked In A Line Blocking My Unit. I was Even Told To Park Further Down & Walk My Furniture To My Unit Instead Of Moving Trucks So That I Would Have More Convenient Parking.

I finished my move early so I returned the truck to the site and had plan to return the keys at 11 am the next morning. I was called around. 7:30 am with an irrational lady on the phone yelling about now having the keys. I tried to explain to her the situation , but she was absolutely not listening. I can't understand why she was so mad about the truck being there without the keys , when my rental time was a 24 hour rent. I thought I was doing a good thing . When I made it to the site and tried to explain to her , she jump out her seat as if she was ready for a fight. It was very unprofessional and I think someone needs to get a handle on her before something bad happens or she causes the business to fail.

The first receptionist we met needed to improve her people skills. We are the customers, U-Haul is providing a service for us, not the other way around. The truck had multiple dents that where clearly marked. The passenger door was difficult to close. The front suspension system needed to be reworked. We loaded up the truck the afternoon prior to our move. The next morning, we attempted to start up the truck. We heard clicking. The next attempted to start up the truck had zero power from the battery, no dash lights, no engine start. We called the office that we rented the truck from. This receptionist had good people skills. We called the 800 number for emergency service. An hour later, someone came. He tried to help start the truck for over ten long minutes, but finally got it started. He advised us to run the truck for 35 minutes to recharge the battery. The rest of the move went smoothly. We returned the truck to the nice receptionist without having any trouble. Oh, one more thing. The truck was half fuel of fuel. Naturally, we want to return it with the same amount of fuel so as not to pay the huge U-Haul fuel price. I ended up putting in more fuel than necessary to cover myself. What a scheme that was! Topping off fuel on a full tank load is the way I have always rented my vehicles. Anyway, the move was completed despite the challenges we faced.

I’ve been using U-Haul storage facilities for over 10 years and have never experienced a rodent problem the way this specific location has. All of my furniture and personal items have been ruined with rat poop and pee . The manager was not apologetic or at the lease empathetic and very rudely interrupted me to let me know that “they would regularly treat the unit “ it seems they are very accustomed to rodents at this location and aren’t proactively getting rid of the rodents. Had I known that rats were so regular at this location I would have never put my belongings here .

For the several years I had a storage unit the staff was always super nice and helpful if I had any issues come up. I have always had good interactions with everyone. Agent was a condescending control freak, who was using his position as a form of power control.. We are in not stupid and understand how to rent a vehicle. There was no parking for the customers. Only reason we used this place because it was the only location with a pick up truck.

My Iocation was changed at the day of a few hours before pickup which I was not aware of untI I Ieft to pick the van up. AIso I was asked if the previous customer couId keep the van an extra hour and wouId I be okay with waiting another hour to pick up. I said yes but this was reaIIy inconvenient. It is not my issue if the other party didn't finish. I have my own probIem I have to deaI with and this made me have to finish my task in the dark that night. AIso I did what I needed to do did the onIine check in and yet when I went in to get the keys, I stiII had to wait for the manager to ask me the same questions I had just answered and take my Iicense. When I toId her I had aIready did the onIine check-in, she responded by sticking her hand out for the Iicense in condescending manner. I rented the van for 2 days and basicaIIy was questioned why I needed the van for 2 days if I was onIy going to drive 22 miIes which I found very odd. When I gave my answer I was given a very strange Iook and again feIt condescending. The whoIe point of onIine check-in I thought was to save time and not be harassed by manager. After waiting for the customer in front of me and the check-in process it took another 30 minutes before I was abIe to get the van. So what started as a 2pm rentaI ended up being 330pm before I was abIe to drive off. My time is money and that definitIy was not respected at this Iocation. I've rented many vans and this was the by far worst experience I've ever had.

The room developed a crack on the floor, ? Foundation problem. We didn’t see that till we emptied the room. Sand came up through the crack and the large coffee table we had stored back there got rotted on the bottom and had to go to the dump. Otherwise everything was fine!

When I arrived to pick up the truck my link for mobile pick up wouldn’t load. The front desk lady was not pleasant, condescending, and was passive-aggressive with her approach. We were the only two people present at 7am. I believe she was the manager. After the check in was complete, she insisted that I pick up a truck at a different location because she had a family picking up the truck that I already had reserved for 7am, at 11:30am. She wanted to ensure the truck would be returned on time (by 11am) because they had the same truck reserved for three days. She asked me this several times more before I left. Once I returned with the truck around 10am, she was much more pleasant and easier to work with. If she would have had this same approach at 7am my review would be higher. The employee who checked me in when I returned was fast and helpful. Based on this experience I gave my review an average rating. I will not return to this location for future business.

We moved into a larger space and the storage was no longer needed...that was the ONLY reason we moved out. If I ever need a storage again...I will definitely return to this facility.

I was charged $120 for a few hours of rental for your smallest box truck. I spent less for a 24 hour rental prior at another location for a larger truck. This location is a rip off and is taking advantage of peoples money. The parking at hulen is horrible, there are only three parking spaces. Moral to the story: Rent for 24 hours and make sure to check the truck in with an agent.

The location was great. The problem was that Uhaul changes my location twice. Each time further and further from my home causing what was a 22 to 24 mile round trip to pick up the van. This is opposed to the 8 mile round trip to and from the 1st location I booked the van and money that Uhaul collected from me on my final bill. And speaking to customer service after the second change in pick up location I got the pleasure of speaking to someone totally ambivalent in regards to the fact. I guess Uhaul no longer thinks that if your not dealing with the customer in person there isn't a need for even a pretense towards things like inconvenience to the customer. As long as the money is coming in.

I felt unsafe when I was on the property bc of people hanging out of there cars as though they were living there. The door on my unit was almost impossible to raise. They did offer to look at it a couple of times but with very short notice at their convenience not mine. The facility is very poorly maintained and looks it. I no longer felt safe visiting my unit plus I needed help to raise door.

I had a storage at the hulen location for over a year I was very satisfied with it except the price range I just could not afford to keep it anymore so I had to move my stuff out but Tracy the receptionist at the office is a very cooperative friendly enthusiastic person she will help you when she can and she will work with you I really enjoyed working with Tracy

Someone hit the side of the building that my belongings were in and made water into my storage unit. I was out of the country for 3 years and they realize it happened once to bright it to their attention.

We found a dead rat in our unit as we were moving out, but, to be fair, we also had our stuff stored there for over 5 years, so we expected that to be a risk and knew that some stuff would not be salvageable. The office staff are absolutely incredible people though, we just love Tracey and James to death! We'll miss them, we're just very thankful to have finally gotten into our own house!!

I had been with U-Haul since 1991 never had a problem on April 2 2024, I notice my unit was broken into. The manager now was not very helpful. I had to get a police report and I reported to Corporate. My treatment with her was not pleasant and I was already upset that I was violated after all these years .

These guys are the best. Keon called me the day before to confirm the details of the move and called the morning of to let me know they were on the way. Very professional, nice and moved me quickly.

The staff was very professional, courteous, and helpful. The storage experience was not do good. The unit had been infested with rats and sustained some water damage that had nothing to do with the staff. The experience with the insurance company to recover for damages was a less than favorable. The insurance requested a picture of the actual water coming from the ceiling. If I could take the staff and move them to another facility I would rent use the storage again otherwise not a chance.

The location was convenient to where my sister lived, so access was important. Items were stored in climate controlled space which was very well lit and also a relief when outdoor temperatures were scorching. Thr unit was rented for several years without anyonr visiting and when I opened it NOTHING was damaged or missing. Sadly, my sister died and the unit was no longer needed. Based in my experience, I would highly recommend the Hulen location.

At some point during my storage (at least 10 years) there was flooding and some of my belongings were destroyed. Possibly even multiple flooding events. There appears to be a drain channel of some kind in the back of the storage unit so it seems that flooding is expected…? I would not recommend because for the continuous rent price increases- you should not have to deal with regular flooding.

James was beyond upbeat a helpful. Although he had issues with getting our gate code to work correctly, he was still accommodating, pleasant, and energetic. We were patient with him. Eventually we got it to work after a system reboot. James is a rockstar…love his personality!!!

The man checking me in was very short with me. He was helpful, but not friendly. Probably because it was 6:40. He said if I would've come in 4 min later he wouldn't have checked me in. He then told me how they start closing at 6:30, 6:45 no more check-ins because at 7 they close. He was not real pleasant/friendly. I may have caught him at a bad time- almost closing. The facility was clean.

My unit was ransacked badly and all my valuables stolen, the management will not share the information contained in their system with me, UHaul corporate won’t help in anyway, had to of been an inside job, because I had beautiful heavy pieces of furniture in there, placed at the back and a lot of time would of been needed to get all those pieces out. Massive disappointment and dissatisfaction with UHaul at this point!! My items were irreplaceable 100%

Everything about the facility was excellent (staff, availability, cleanliness, etc.), however the location and entry were a little rough getting a 26 foot truck and car hauler into. I was forced to download the car hauler offsite just to access the gate.

Thought manager was very curt with each interaction. Her actions came across as if customer service was not an important aspect of a customer facing job. I was warned, by a few friends, of the lack of professionalism at that location; however I ignored it because of location and convenience, a mistake I won’t make again.

My Items in storage 62 was totally destroyed by water every time it rain this storage building will flood I paid for insurance on this storage unit for 2 years and no one is trying to help by replacing the items that was damaged and destroyed. I have called the adjuster but NO reply.

Tracy Hugle is GREAT !! Such a sweet , professional, well suited leader of this establishment. Anything I wasn't sure about or any request I may have had she was MORE than willing to help and was HAPPY about doing so. From her restrooms, to her office to the truck rental and storages all were VERY CLEAN and had a lovely FRAGRANCE! I am definitely referring plenty of my friends business companions and family to her property even if its just for a box or a roll of tape , she has my VOTE***** 5 STARS

It started out great when we rented several years ago. But as the management changed, the service went downhill. At the last encounter, even getting them to move their own U-Haul trucks out of the way so I could access my unit was an imposition. In fact they didn't even move enough so I could successfully access the unit without parking in the middle of the way blocking the traffic for other people. This is coupled with a terrible entrance capability. The driveway is very short in front of the gate, causing a backup onto the street in some cases. Also they kept changing the way you get in without notifying anyone. First I had a code. Then it was a card. And now my card didn't even work last time I was there and I was told it doesn't work. So I still have no idea how you get in. Fortunately I would always go in the office was open so it wasn't a huge imposition. However if I had gone after hours I would have not been able to access my unit. Also I was charged several times for a credit card late fees due to their inability to charge a card that had thousands of dollars of space on it. and instead of being friendly for someone who had stayed there for years and spent upwards of $10,000 on storage units they were accusatory and blamed me for their problem. Though after a while magically the problem stopped happening. So no I can't recommend this place. It was once a very well run facility and now it's just a very poorly run facility. And what makes it worse is they keep hiking up the price without adding additional services or any other explanation as to why the price increases. Especially for customers like me who had spent almost a decade there you'd think they could be able to come up with better pricing for me. But they were not the kind of people that you could talk to anymore. On top of that, there was a huge rat problem. We didn't store any food or consumables in our unit. It was all furniture and equipment and the like. However there was rat poop everywhere. I had never seen so much rat poop in one area ever. I don't think they are adequately controlling the rat population at that storage facility. In any case we've moved out and will never ever go there again nor ever recommended to anyone.

The site manager is pathetic. We experienced a roof leak in our unit. She could not have been any more indifferent to our situation. We were given nothing but excuses, poor instructions and ultimately lied to trying to grant access to our unit for repair. I am a long time UHaul customer. Based on this experience, I will look at all options going forward. This experience did not meet my expectations. UHaul can hire better employees.
