The only reason we rented from this location was the abysmal failure of the original reservation and pickup attempt. After an hour and a half, 3 calls to the U-Haul 800 number with a 10-15 minute wait each time we discovered the key lock boxes to be empty and the pickup location office “closed for the next 2 weeks”.

1. I checked in before at home and it did not speed up check out. It took 40 minutes. I had to give additional verification. If I knew that, I would have had my passport available. So I had to go into the office 2 blocks away. 2. I parked my car where I picked up the vehicle but I had to return the vehicle on the other side and had to walk effectively 2 blocks to my car. 3. You got my first name wrong and misspelled my last on this survey.

I made a reservation under my business name. Upon arrival that reservation was changed into my employees name. I purchased a moving gift certificate for use on my most recent move. When it came time to pay the clerk did not apply the certificate but instead charged my employees debit card. More training is needed for all Uhaul employees in order for this not to happen to anyone else.

I had everything set up for use of mobile check in. When I got there another person had the same rental truck assigned as me. So therefore, I had to then go inside, wait in line for a different rental.

The battery light was on. The manager told me it would be fine. Unacceptable to put a customer in a truck with a display light on. The battery died and I was stranded on a busy Minneapolis street as the sun set. This manager put me in a dangerous situation just because he didn't want to go through the effort of getting me a new van. I tried to call the U-Haul road side assistance and reached no one. The chat feature is set up so poorly that you can't press the submit button on your phone so I had to call my friend and she had to do it from her laptop and it took over an hour for anything to happen. Manager refunded me for the rental and jump as he should but still said that it was okay he put me in the truck because sometimes the light goes on and the truck is fine. This is completely unacceptable and you have lost a U-Haul customer.

The checkout process was frustratingly long (about 50 minutes for me), and it wasn't clear when I arrived at the pickup place what I was supposed to do (even on my phone). My biggest point of feedback is - if additional identification is required (i.e. passport #, workplace verification, etc), why isn't that gathered during the Online Check-in which I completed 3+ days prior to my pickup date? Like why does it have to take 45 minutes for me to show up and try to pick up a U-Haul when all email and phone communications prior to my arrival make it seem like it's going to be a fairly brief process? If I had known that the passport was needed, I would have gathered that information prior to arriving at the U-Haul location, but I was not notified about that anywhere. I am fortunate that the weather was nice out. But if it was Raining or Snowing or very hot, I think I would be even more upset. Another piece of feedback is that the pickup option still required me to talk to a representative to retrieve the U-Haul key. That wasn't my initial impression when I selected the "Mobile Pick Up" option. I think it would be helpful to make sure that that is clear for folks in the future. The current construction around the location is actually kind of annoying; it added extra mileage to get back onto the highway and prevented me from using certain exits. The staff onsite were helpful in answering my questions, but at some points they were kind of hard to track down (they were performing other work and it was busy).

The customer service rep that checked me in was very professional and polite and gave a great customer experience. However, when I returned the vehicle, the two customer service people were rude and had a very unwelcoming attitude. We used the vehicle to give out food to the community and there was a little flour dust left in the truck and you would have thought that we left something disgusting in the truck. The looks on their faces were very unfriendly. They should really learn true customer service and if they have something to say to the customer, they should say it directly to the customer instead of saying it to each other so the customer can hear it.

I would not recommend your trailers. It's surprising that THE moving trailer company has trailers that most people cannot stand upright in, making packing physically difficult, and literally painful. My back still hurts, and I'm a professional mover. I would never rent from you again, knowing this.

I was satisfied overall. However, I wish the amount of time from pickup to arrival at destination could be reduced for cross country moves. My belongings had to be picked up Aug 30th in Minneapolis for a September 18th move to Charlotte, NC. Nineteen days is a long time to be without essentials.

Really impressed with the team and service. Made the reservation online, went into the store, and all of the paperwork was ready. My truck was also ready and waiting. One of the team members walked out, showed me where the truck was, and went and grabbed my blankets and materials. Return was also super easy, I was getting out of the truck and they were already walking over to check me in. He noticed I hadn't broken the strap on the dolly and even refunded that charge. Great service, clean location, plenty of supplies. Would absolutely recommend this location.

Overall service by phone, chat or at location is awful, almost no one is willing to help, system usually is giving issues and everyone promises to call you back to resolve your questions, but no one does. I spent 1 week calling and going to the location with no good results to schedule my delivery, I ended up going by myself to pick up my rented uboxes, All to find that no one is at the desk and I had spent a lot of time to get something resolved. I don't know if you guys laid off a lot of people without a good assessment on covid impact to your company but is obvious personal is short and many of them lack of expertise on their roles. Too bad experience :( i will not recommend using U-Haul services to my family and friends.

Well the issue is I made the reservation for this location the got an email stating the pickup location will be the university avevst paul location. So I go to the st paul location to pick up the trailer. They tell me no you need to go to the como location even though I show him the email that clearly states I was supposed to pick up the trailer at the st paul spot. So after waiting 35 minutes I get to como to get the damn trailer. Very annoyed!

I went to this location to pick up my truck the talk was okay I needed the tow dolly I was not charged for it I had to go back and get the tow dolly. I was charged for the tow dolly I was told there was no refund the dolly that I needed for my truck was not available one of the representatives told me that it was stolen I waited on that lot for over an hour and nobody bothered to come and let me know that they did not have the equipment. I felt like because I was African-American they didn't feel like they needed to clue me in right away and let me know that the equipment was not there. Inter distillate my moving for over an hour with this company. It was really out of my way I would have rather gone to the Maplewood office where I was originally supposed to pick up the truck however Maplewood did not have the 15-foot truck so I had to go to the Como office I will never use that office again the customer service Derrick sucks and the representative said they're not friendly at all. No I will not recommend this location to anyone

Due to construction, not only was it hard to find the entrance, once I parked, I was told by different team members to park in different areas, causing me to have to walk all over the site. Moving is stressful enough without wasting an hour trying to find out the appropriate parking spot.

So I ALWAYS use this location. I drove from downtown Minneapolis for this specific location becasue they ALWAYS have taken good care of me. I rented a Cargo Van and not warned of road construction to get to them. Once I got there no one met me like usual. The Van I got had a Dash Light on about an Oil Change. I could not figure out where to put the gas, nor how to move the mirrors. I have never driven a van like this. Upon returning I sat in the bay for quite awhile awaiting someone to notice I was there. I watched a working messing with trailers while on his cell phone.. Just wasn't the customer service I have recieved all the times before. I guess maybe I have high expectations due to my experiences in the past. Hopefully it was just an off day..

Mobile checkout took longer than just going to the counter as the verification of my photos and second contact took 10+ minutes. And then I had to go to the counter anyway, which is on the complete other side of a massive building in a construction zone, to pick up the key. Everything about the location was good. The self-checkout process needs to be better.

I was supposed to be able to check out my vehicle using the app, but instead, that wasn't "enough," so I was unexpectedly forced to wait in like for ~30 min before being helped. This was also after UHaul cut my reservation time in half. I reserved it in early August for August 30 from 8am-8pm. About a week before August 30, I got a call that they had overbooked and needed to shorten my time from 9am-4pm. Overall, bad experience and will avoid using Uhaul in the future.

Loading dock area very well laid out. Office for registration/ checkin OK, but there should be a separate checkin and waiting area for storage versus vehicle rental customers...and a posted outline of checkin for BOTH types of customsrs.Current construction makes finding anything difficult so you need to compensate by posting in big print process for each customer type. ALSO EACH STORAGE CUSTOMER MUST RECEIVE A LARGE PRINT.COPY OF THE LEASE BEFORE BEING ASKED TO SIGN IT. LAST COMMENT ....hire a Minnesota lawyer to look at your Lease. Excellent security measures and the long access hours is a nice perk. Hallways and loading areas are clean but pest control is lacking. Although the rodent bait traps are present in each unit, I still found a considerable amount of mice droppings inside my unit. Having the normal entrance blocked off by construction makes it difficult to access, which isn't really an issue but it would have been nice to have an announcement sent out with instructions for alternate route access or at least better signs directing people where to go. I wasn't able to reach the office by phone so I had to drive all the way there to get answers. Matt has always been helpful and friendly but it's iffy otherwise. It gets the job done but it's not worth the high price of the unit especially compared to the other options in the area.

I am always pleased with this facility. Check in for picking up truck and getting set up for storage unit is quick and easy. Love the loading dock! Facility is always clean and neat, staff is great! And dropping off the truck when we were done took no time at all! When I need storage I don't even consider other facilities because this one has always been a good experience!

I have had the need to utilize U-haul twice in the last month. First was for a van rental in Fargo, ND to move a small apartment. The second was for a truck rental for another small move plus a storage unit in St. Paul. I must say, I was blown away both times by the customer service and the technology of checking out and returning the vehicles. In regards to storage, the carts provided were a back saver and the ease, the security in place, and the cleanliness of the unit were very impressive. Applause to the guys at Main ave in Fargo and to Kellen at the Como location in St. Paul. Impressive.

I am a student and affected by the coronavirus during my move as it made everything much more difficult. I had only two people to help move into the storage unit and one to move out. I received several emails saying I would get one month free but when I asked the person working about it, they said I had to say something about it when I first secured the storage unit. This is contradictory to the offer and the $121 for the unit is needed in the moment of a pandemic.

You have one of the best storage facilities I have used over multiple cities and 36 years of military service. I think the security and access controls are very good. The facility is clean and easy to navigate. Two areas to comment on: first, I had a handicap accessible unit which I chose for location, but the smaller door makes lighting very poor. Second, the price increased during my two years of use, and eventually drove me to find alternate storage.
