I had a poor experience with my drop off today. As previously mentioned, my storage reservation was not honored and I had to fix it myself by calling 1-800-GOUHAUL. I am disappointed that the burden of fixing these types of problems is placed on the customer as opposed to the U-haul personnel at the store helping/having access to see what storage units are available at surrounding uHaul locations. I also had another significant inconvience at the 3020 I-20 location in Grand Prarie, where I was ultimately referred to to complete a subsititute for my storage reservation. My tow dolly had been left at the I-30 MacArthur location since I no longer needed it, and when I was ready to leave the truck at the 3020 I-20 location they informed me I could only “split the contract†by calling the 1-800-GO-UHAUL myself. After 30 minutes on the phone, someone on the other end was easily able to resolve the issue. Why not give the people in the store the ability to solve these “issuesâ€? Once I was done with the lady on the phone I just told the people in office she said I was good to fgo and that was that. 30 minute inconvenience that could easily be avoided if the in store personnel had the ability to resolve this simple “issueâ€. please address the reservation system and find ways to stop placing the burden of unfulfilled reservations on the customer. It would greatly enhance the user experience and make me more likely to use uHaul's services in the future.

On top of that, I had to drive nearly 30 miles to pick it up vs. my preferred pick-up location. Packing blankets were not available there and I had to drive to Irving to pick them up. I was under a timeline and this has been the worst experience I've had with U-haul over the years. Although 10 % credit and an extra day given, it did not make up for the extra high rental price, gas, time and hassle we had to experience. It's disappointing that U-haul has resorted to price gouging the middle class.

Then all he did was drop the trailer he did not repair it so I had to get a floor jack to reinstall the trailer after I unloaded the truck. then when we dropped off the truck and trailer the location that we were told to drop it off called and said they were going to charge me a wrong location charge.

I was charged for an extra day even though I returned the truck 2hrs before due time 3. I returned truck with extra fuel than I received. I was still charged for an extra gallon 4. The truck had a low Tyre sign up even though the tyres were of right gauge. I kept worrying about the condition of the truck all through my trip.

The Mile per gallon gauge was as low as can possibly be then while on the way from the move the car truck started overheating, RPM gauge was going past it's max and the truck was smoking. I would have checked the truck myself but I was held up at the counter as well because I was not let known ahead of time this location doesn't accept cash deposits even though while I was on hold when I called to let them know there was a problem with the truck it said that they do accept cash, check and debit adding an extra 20 minutes making me late to the job I had needed the truck for. I called to let the uhaul people know what experience I was having with the truck and what can be done after this since I've never had an experience like this and never got a straight forward answer. I spoke with a manager kaitlyn which after seeming like finding ways to make it seem like I did something wrong with the truck hung up on me. I called back they didn't answer. Then I called again this morning and was on hold for 30 minutes just to walk in and see 4 people at the counter and nobody even attempting to pick up the phone. Very disappointed and the truck was very dirty when I got it and I had sharp pins and needles throughout the truck bed.

She told us if we needed more time to just call and let them know. She never said we would be charged. So when we called for an extension and mentioned the fact that they wasted 1,5 hours of our morning she said that didn't matter and still charged us.

She obviously did not fully understand how to do it. Lastly, bring it back was just as much pain. We pulled in behind two 20ft trucks into the return line. The guy was obviously going to clean the trucks out, inside and out before ever attending to us. We just needed to drop off a small trailer.

The associates there act like they can't move from their seats behind the counter. She was the seat on the far side by the office. When returning the truck we had to walk inside as no one came outside. When I walked in associate (female) was on her phone and eating candy. I had to ask what to do even though the sign out side said an associate would be out to see me. I would not go back here and i would not recommend this location. It's a shame because I'm sure they get a lot of just because of the location. I would hate to think others had to deal with that. I'm a supervisor in customer service myself and i would be never let my staff have this kind of service. It did not exceed my expectations in anyway and i will not be back or recommend.
LINDSEY O.Inexperience employees made the entire process time consuming and costly. The same people handling the storage units also handles the trucks. I was late a couple of times on storage and I don't excuses my actions but you charge $35 amount late fee .And will call 2 and 3 times a day for money. We were told that it was first come serve basis. We agree to take whatever that was available. However, as we started unloading staff, it was disappointing that the supervisor on the shift was orchestrating a scheme to steal clients's items. They stated they thought the items were left behind, meanwhile we saw one lady who was not in uhaul uniform opening clients boxes and bags, and then the supervisor allowed her to pack in her car. The supervisor needs to be fired. You can call me for more information. Because we witnessed this, we cancel our reservation.

My name is Patsy I paid for this u-haul and Shanna Gregory drive me to Arlington. I am still out of 100 dollars . Your staff in Lubbock on 34 st. need more training .The staff in Arlington was Ok.

They start off by charging my card over $500 withhout calling or letting me know after only having the truck for three days. They gave me a truck with a gas leak. I wouldn't take that truck they gave me a truck with roaches. They did not refund the deposit for the first truck or the second truck added a deposit for the third truck which was the original truck with a gas leak. You heard that right they gave me back the original truck with the gas leak then charge me a third deposit. This all started on Wednesday. We did not take actual possession I will truck fully till Thursday the 12th. Saturday of that same week they charged my card an additional $500. We were in constant contact with Uhaul customer service and location letting them know because of our work schedule mixup with bad trucks we need extensions on the time. We also let them know that the truck was full of our belongings that we could not unload the truck since they gave us the wrong storage not the largest one that we asked for. Once we got the larger storage on the 14th we unload the first load. Where we got back to unload the second load we saw we had no storage lights. So we park the truck again in the Home Depot parking lot on 360 a couple miles away.We had the truck for seven days when we should've only had it for two Well because of all the mess ups no lights in our storage we had her for seven days. The location of my storage told corporate office that we had the ruck for two weeks not seven days. So I was not getting any refund for the Over $500 I have been charged. The high charge I was told was also an estimation of the miles I had driven. The truck was probably driven 30 miles the whole time we had the truck at $.99 a mile. Storage issue: I had a storage that you could drive a U-Haul truck into. I begs for lights so I could do what I need to do from November up until March when I was asked to leave. I was asked to leave because the manager cut off my lock on March 11 illegally cut off my lock by cutting into their housing for my lock Leaving sharp metal where I cut my fingers several times. I was never informed a reason why until I got there and the reason why was a look at the lightbulb problem. Resolution: I was told by upper management since they couldn't satisfy my needs I had to be out in less than 48 hours or everything I had in my storage would belong to them. Believe it or not there's more to the story of my treatment at this location being laughed at when they thought that I might have Covid 13 and the list goes on and on of how I was miss treated. This location changed my life are the worst in many ways and Mark the manager still has his job. As for me I'm still trying to financially recover from the mess Uhaul has caused me. Turning my life upside down and inside out. Please be aware of the 360 and I 20 location do not rent trucks from there do not ring storage is from there as long as Mark is the manager of that location. The man is too incompetent to even tie his own shoes.

He corrected uhaul booking issues, booked a different unit and adjusted the price so we could get unloaded and stay on time. He is someone everyone should strive to be! But U-Haul stepped in and moved our things to the Pioneer and 360 location as quickly as possible. We still need to go through our belongings to see what's what. It's very unfortunate that the building was in such poor shape without us knowing ! Had we know this building has had future problems and was barely patched up only to have more problems when it rained I would have NEVER stored my valuables here! There really needs to be more then one elevator! I Due to the lack of attention the owner has put into his building ! I received a texted my unit has water damage ! I went moved a few things to my second dry unit and thankfully I did our my 82 in and my 55 inch TVs would have been ruined !! And I moved my pictures which some of them got wet and ruined and I can replace a tv but not priceless memories of pictures I can't get back !!! I went the next day and they cut my lock and changed it without telling me which means they were in my unit without my knowledge! Had I not gone by to tell them about the leak they I would have never know that they were about to unload my unit with people they found on Craigslist and moved all my large storage unit into small portable crates that who know how it would have been stored and who knows if they would have all been kept together or have my stuff would have been lost ! It looked super unorganized and it was complete chaos!!! The owner cussed at me when he was talking to me ! I went to my car and cried because I didn't know what to do ! So I was forced to miss work and loose money !!!!! Pray someone could help me ! I had to pay to rent a uhaul which I should be credited for !!!!!! They assigned 3 people to help me load the uhaul well they didn't tie anything down and I might as well threw my stuff away because it all fell over and cracked and scratched up my dressers and computer desks, broken frames and mirror ! This was such a horrible expensive experience!!!!! I will never use this company again!!! I do want to let whoever know during this whole horrific event not one person wore a mask or social distancing!!! No hand sanitizer or Lysol spray !!! This was handled very poorly ! Unfortunately I had some items with mold from the water I had to throw away also! My storage unit wasn't the worst there were tons of other people that had to throw all their stuff away !!!! This wasn't the first time this storage place has had something like this I heard !!!
MICHELLE H. | Expérience généraleSix plus years of having a storage space there, every time I went into the office I had to deal with someone that had poor customer service skills. Rude people that won't even greet a customer until they feel like it. There are videos on youtube to teach you good customer service skills. You can also go to Chik Fil A and see how customers get treated with respect. Simple retail transaction like buying a box or a roll of tape would take 15 minutes. Plenty of negative reviews on Google, but you dont care to change. And tell that lady not to call me anymore. She doesn't even identify herself or the purpose of her call. She just says: "Hello Mr Patrick, how you doin today?" like I'm some kind of ten year old that is supposed to take time out of my busy day to figure out who it is and tell her how my day is going, satisfy her curiosity. The custodians in the storage were nice though. The only reason I stayed was because I felt they were keeping a close eye on things. Don't bother me anymore. I was tired of dealing with you people a long time ago.

For example, she asked for my renter's insurance, I said I will have to bring it back. At the end of the transaction, I looked at her asking, "how do I get to my storage unit?" They are not very professional and I almost went to another facility.

The custodians do a good job taking care of the actual storage area. They were always polite.
