I found a dead rat in my unit and seen other rats running around from one to another. There was poop and pee in all my belongings and some of my furniture was scratched up. I had to throw away most of my stuff .

I had a unit in the old building - #450 that was disgusting the rats are huge and had peeded and pooped all over our items, thankfully most of ours were in plastic containers the boxes were bitten into - We had advised the front office over a week ago that there was a dead rat in the unit across from 450 and the stench was so bad you could barely breath in the unit. When we returned to move all our items out last Saturday the rat was still there. That is utterly ridiculous that nobody on the staff could come remove the dead rat. If anyone on the staff enters that building they can smell the stench - and the fact that nobody bothered to take care of the issue does not look good on the management team. The building is falling apart with insulation hanging down all up and down the hallways - I was told by management that they were going to renovate that whole building because of water leaking and the smell is horrible. I have another unit in the new building and it is nothing like the old building. It is totally disgusting - Someone from Corporate needs to come down and just walk into that building and let me know if you would want to store your items there OR if you could spend a few hours moving items out like we did on Saturday - 2 of the people that were helping us actually threw up due to the smell! U-HAUL needs to move everyone out of the old unit and put them in the new unit. The rat infestation is ridiculous, and the rate feces and pee is all over every item we had stored in the unit. We had to physically clean ever crate and had to throw away several items. I wanted a storage unit that secured my items and keep them clean - this was not the case at all. As a storage facility your #1 concern should be the securing of the items that people store and nobody should have their items treated the way ours were. It was totally disgusting.

The guys in the store were fantastic. The truck was clean. The only thing was the truck had no gas in it. I put some in it but didn't drive it much. We also hired a couple guys to help. They showed up and told us it was going to cost more because of the size of the truck. When I said no to the extra cost they left. I hired 2 of them for 2 hrs not for the size of the truck.

Personal is bad, Keith Gatlin is the agent who helped me at this location on September 06, 2025 I asked for the receipt of the u haul that I used, agent stated without asking me or even telling me that my card was going to be charged, he told me that my credit card was declined, I asked what they were charging me for, Keith stated it was because the fuel on the truck was at 3/4, I informed how could that be when I just had filled up the tank to the max, Keith stated that 3/4 was showing when he checked the truck. We went back to check the truck and guess what? The tank was full, agent tried to scam me $74 dollars without my consent of an error he made, he should be better prepared to deal with money and customer service, because he has 0 customer service skills and apparently he is prepared to scam people, I consider that a theft attempt.

I was overcharged .Where does the 19,99 deal apply ?? I rented a U-Haul for a few hours and it cost me more than $100. I was 3 minutes passed closing and the employees were still there . I was directed to the night drop and charged an additional $20. I will never ever use this ripoff deal . What a joke . I used this as an alternative to save and it cost me more than the actual quote from the initial source . Lesson learned and hidden fees. Consumers beware of the $19,99 deal .

I got 2 15' trucks from there The first one was very loud like it did not had a muffler installed. The one that i got now was loosing power steering fluid and the brake felt that it will go out any moment the pedal was way down that would not stop on a sudden stop almost did several accidents

I wanted a climate control unit with lights inside the larger facility. However, Im 65 and cant move to much on . However, I was told only the 3 floor with an elevator. Still too much. I needed a 1st access. Maybe next time. Thank you.

There was no one there to check in the truck! As always, U-Haul puts the customer to work at any cost so long as U-Haul gets paid that's all that matters! This is horribly unprofessional, and U-Haul should think about changing the culture and become customer centric!! I could go on but I suspect everything I've related is falling on deaf ears.

Due to lack of security and security gates, my storage unit was broken into and all of my most valuable items, including a 60 inch television as well as washer and dryer were stolen… if the facility will not provide a secure gated facility then they should at least have an overnight on-site security guard that can secure the premises to protect the customers property during after hours.

I had to unnecessarily move earlier then except due to one of your male employees I was given a truck I guess for a negotiation. I feel rushed due to this unnecessary incident. If I'm unnecessarily charged after I was told by two U-Haul managers that the fee will be waived. However y'all keep charging my card or sending me receipt after our discussion. I can't keep my mouth shut especially if this was only offered to put me in debt. Knowing the reason I really had to leave my unit early. Worst Uhaul store ever. The store owner (white. blonde hair, blue eyes, in 40-50s, hair in ponytail) is rude & unprofessional. I called the day before and the day of and her staff confirmed my auto transport is reserved and 100 % ready for me. I then call about an hour before my pickup time to inform the store I'm running a few minutes late and the owner says the auto transport is no longer available before disconnecting the call. I go to the store with truck & auto transport to get my stuff from the storage unit and the owner stops her staff from unhooking the auto transport for me (I said I would drive the car). I begged the owner to help me as I was already late to my destination due to her canceling my autotransport reservation at the last hour and therefore I had to also get new movers who took another hour. I was crying the entire time. Store owner wouldn't even look at me and yelled "get out of my face". I then called support and support called her. She yelled " you called corporate on me". Only then did she go to my truck but only stood there while my movers were unhooking the auto transport. They told her they need help as they never did this before and she still did not bring her staff to hook or unhook the auto transport. At the store counter I told her I need to check out only to then find my storage unit is still active the next day.

I was very unsatisfied because of the way my auto pay all of sudden was messed up.They tried to say I was the one who had the issues was not true.The staff was not helpful at all and asked me to remove my things. I need to have some fees paid for my bank account.. I am very unhappy because I had been there for almost 2 years and all of sudden I began to have issues. I have not had anywhere to live for that long and now I have to find somewhere to put my things.Very unhappy

After renting a 15 foot van and a car transporter trailer 3 weeks ago from Las Vegas into Houston, again store manager at this location came through with a superb customer service for our rental accommodations. Cody (General Manager) at 16405 I-45 in Houston was very helpful when we had returned our rental of the 15 foot moving van and the auto transport trailer. During our move from Las Vegas to Houston, TX. Cody basically showed us his concerned about our well being during our experience when we encountered a tire blowout on the auto transporter and having to sit and wait for 5 hours in the scorching heat of Texas. Customer Service that Cody provided us was 110 % satisfactory and he needs to be cloned 10 times. Other than that, we don't want to elaborate more on our experience during our multiple calls for roadside assistance and the long wait that we endured. Rosita Macek

I have an inside unit and there was nothing to prop the door open when moving in. Made it a little difficult. I would suggest adding kickstand to the bottom of each door on the inside to help keep the door open.

I had no problems at all. My unit was clean, spacious, and even had rodent protection. Cody was really nice and expedient during check in, and the check out was quick and easy. This was important to me because I was storing items that belong to my recently deceased relative. I was already emotional, and Cody made this part of the transition smooth. Thank you very much!

Too many cars parked by employees at the exit gate key board. You have to get out of your vehicle and run back to exit the property. I consider this a real safety issue. They should park up front in parking spots not at the exit gate. Same cars everytime.
