i have rented numerous Uhauls and have never had such a terrible experience. We spent over 20 minutes waiting in the lobby while the 2 people working behind the desk had a personal conversation about vision insurance. not only did it take a considerable amount of time it appeared only 1 person knew how to operate the computer and services which added to the length of time it took to to complete this pick up. I will never rent from this place again nor recommend. I actually didnt pick this place when i made the reservation but was "updated" with this location for the rental. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Chantel Phillips has no customer service skills. I was overcharged by $107.85. Checking in took over 1 hour. When I finally git the truck, the equipment rented (2 dollys) was not in the truck. Although she assured me that she would contact the credit card processing team on 7/1/2019 to correct the billing mistake, she did nothing. Calls to this store (863067) are not answered. After 1 hour on the phone with customer service today, 7/10/2019, Manager, Misty, provided me with a useless code # and told me to contact American Express. American Express cannot verify that # and requires a written authorization from Uhaul. Since Misty contacted credit processing, they should have known that written authorization is required by AmEx. Calling credit processing ay Uhaul, I was given a 3rd abd completely different set of instructions, to contact uhaul.com/bankhold and fill out more forms. Uhaul has THE WORST customer service of any company in the USA. I will NEVER do business with you again.

I probably would recommend this place because there is always availability but i spent over an hour waiting for a representative.. Ive rented a few times and it seems there is never enough employees working at this location... The gentleman that helped me today was ok but the lady was vey unprofessional, she answered her phone 3 times ( not work related) while waiting on Customers, had long and un necessary conversation that had nothing to do with uhaul..she Had a i dont care that youve been waiting an hour happy attitude...

Had a car tow and my Mercedes under bumper, severely scratched and almost came off when tried to unload..their were no wood blocks for front wheels to go on to lift bumper over edge of tow when loaded..had to get Steve at the Fremont location to get vehicle off tow without ripping of my bumper. Steve is the only one with the sense to know that a vehicle that low to ground should never have been loaded without wooden blocks under front wheels to prevent major damage. The Jimmy Carter location heard my car getting damaged underneath and didn't say a word...just poor!! Hopefully I can get reimbursed for the $500 Damage that was done.

When you quote a price stick to that price. My quote was $57.00. But i ended up paying $161.00. Thank God I didn't need any of the $61.00 I was overcharged for a place to live. (SARCASM) i and my two large dogs are going do great sleeping in my car. You would think over charging could give some of the employees a raise so they would not have to bring there children to work and make them stay outside in a hot car.

Cashier with the long dreads was very rude cursing from I got there ...I drove from Macon I had a job n Norcross....she greeted by by saying if u not renting a truck u can't wait here I was talking. To my helper so he said that's how she is ....so standing there her kids keep calling an she was cursing them aswell like don't come fucking n the building ....they were n the car out side ..so it was horrible I got truck ...got over charged ....she called my manager a boke nigga just rude...an I got no money back .. baby sitting in u haul parking lot while renting trucks .and cursing customer s .....

I believe that if should there be anything to improve the associates would've known as they help the customers. There maybe not enough hands to handle everything but I believe you are doing very good job. I appreciate Deanna & Megan for their hard work to find and to prepare the truck and trailer w/ U-Boxes, and other male associates loaded the boxes on trailer. Though my wife told me she found some negative reviews about U-Box, but ours is very positive, I will recommend U-Box and U-Haul to my friends, I did this afternoon already.

I moved to Tampa from Norcross April 19th. My personal belongings valued at around 5000.00 got ruined due to a water leak in the cab of the truck. I followed all the insurance steps and was denied due to they say that the truck had no leak. I am talking with a attorney to get matters looked into. The insurance agent Kenny and his supervisor was rude and only looking out to save company money. I truly hate Uhaul and the insurance company. 5 generations of family pictures and heirlooms lost forever and nobody cares.

Had to pick up the equipment 10 miles away from where I reserved it. Not at all convenient to where I live. Part of the reason we went over the miles. The place I reserved it was not very helpful and did not indicate that I would possibly have to pick it up at another location. The gentleman that helped when we picked it up was very nice.

The costumer service when I rented the truck was amazing! Fast and easy!. But unfortunately I left my small purse inside the cargo van I rented and locked the doors before realizing it was left inside. I went in before they even open the store to be there first thing in the morning to retrieve my objects and someone had already "cleaned" the cargo van and said they did not found my belongings inside. It was a terrible experience!. You think you dealing with professionals but now I don't know what to believe. I just hope they find who took my purse and return it. it was really unprofessional.

This location is horrible. The "service" is extremely slow. I was charged twice. I was initially asked to confirm a pickup truck when I was there for a tow dolly and hand truck. The only hand truck available was broken. This location was nothing but a waste of my time and hard earned money.

Truck I had on reserve at the Jimmy Carter location did not work when I arrived to pick up. Why was the truck not checked before I arrived? Had to go Pleasant Hill road location to pick up a truck. Vehicle i received had no windshield fluid. Trucks need to be washed before each rental. Associates did not offer any type of reimbursement for my inconvience. I HAD TO INQUIRE! This entire situation caused me to run behind on my schedule I had planned for my trip. Jimmy Carter location not professional..I would not refer anyone to Uhaul on Jimmy Carter Blvd...Uhaul in Daytona Beach was very professional and I would refer to this location.

When I returned the van (around 6:30 pm) it took the people from that location 25 minutes to give me my invoice. I noticed they did that intentionally (they were enjoying and smiling) it looked like the crew (I saw three employees) were having a good time. The person who gave me the invoice (Pondra Jones) threw the paper on the counter turning her head away from me and walking away from me at the same time without saying any thing very rude and cool. Very poor customer service.

So.....here’s the thing. This Uhaul location needs to hire more help. Especially during peak season (Memorial Day) this starts the moving season. I know because I use to help at another location. The twins were AWESOME! Deanna a sweetheart! But these girls need WAY more help!!! Seriously the company needs to hire more help and I’m definitely going to inform corporate. The wait time just wrong. I only rated above average because of the twins.

The location and the staff were Great. However the truck I had was beyond terrible. It was 93 degrees outside and 100 inside the truck due to the air coming on then shut down and did not come back on. Something was going array with the transmission. It threw my daughter and I into the windshield. I attempted to call the office to see what the procedure was for picking up a broke truck. They were busy so I was transferred to customer service where I was told I could leave a message. I got a recording saying Merry Christmas then it hung up. My frustration with this truck is beyond flustered. I feared for me and my daughters life. I got the truck back and the staff was very understanding however I’m pissed I had to pay anything and I hope they do not rent this truck to anyone else. This is a potential lawsuit

Note - Review is not for this location. This location is perfect. Review is for the process of U Haul. They lock a location online and when we get to the location the truck is unavailable. This happens all the time and last minute. This cost us to cancel movers last minute and cost us money. Horrible software to make reservations. Also horrible movers selection. Locks a movers vendor., but when call the movers they are not free at the date and time. We are stuck with going to site again to cancel and rebook. will never recommend to anyone. Lot of frustration and loss of money. U Haul charges by the mile- so we pay more money if we do not get the truck location pick up per email sent.

I reserved a truck on Jimmy Carter a week ago, then when I picked up my truck, they said my reservation was on another location that I don't believe at all since I particularly made sure I selected Jimmy Carter location, and they don't have any truck for me. I felt like I was fooled. I won't use u-haul anymore and will share it on google review so that someone else wouldn't get fooled.

The staff was nice, especially John, however, I was told I would receive a credit for $16 if the truck was returned on 1/4 since the truck only had 1/3 of gas. So upon returning to the location I stopped at the gas station spent 15 dollars to place the truck back on 1/4 tank of gas. When I received my receipt it showed the truck only had 1/8 tank of gas and was charged and was charged an additional 14 dollars. So I immediately reached out to the email address listed on the email for questions or concerns. I have not heard anything back at this point and that was on Friday. I would like to have someone contact me as soon as possible via email about getting this matter resolved.

The left turn signal or break light did not work I was told to keep pumping the brake and turning on the turn signal I did so it started working and I proceeded on to my pick up location . I got trailer loaded and was getting ready to pull out my son tells me the break light or turn signal quit working again I had to drive it home and got pulled over I was able to get nice officer he let me go with a warning . I have used this location many times before. This time I ordered my truck online so I could avoid the line. When I arrived, my truck was not ready. I could not find my truck so the phone interface assigned another truck to me, which I knew the location of. I did everything I was asked to do on my phone, but then I had to wait for approval. After 15 minutes waiting and no one coming to assist, I went inside to find 3 employees not helping any customers playing on their cellphones. I completed my transaction inside.

other than the experience of the manager not trying to provide customer satisfaction about my lock I had on truck so dolly wouldnt get stolen, they cut it off and didnt replace or even call before renting it back out. Very unconcerned and told me its numerous of cameras, other than that the rental was great. But that truck needs to be put down as it has overwhelming amount of damages.

The young ladies checking in were awesome!!!!!! Friendly and efficient. The one remembered me from the beginning of the month and the horrible experience I had trying to get a truck at The novelty shop in tucker that didn’t have a truck for my reservation, reeked of cigarettes and smoke, had 4 dogs running around and I got bit by one dog inside the location. She tried to find me something she was very helpfully that day. The guys at the Jimmy Carter drop off could be friendly, helpful and professional.

Dropped off truck and trailer and the trailer was not checked in with the truck until I got a email stating I didn't return the trailer. Took me 2 days to get a response and finally a lady help me and contacted the store and I did get a receipt it was returned but not on the date I returned it. They really need to make sure they do a more thorough job at checking in the equipment.
