I'm very disappointed I put $100 security deposit down on it and then I kept it for another day and the lady charged my card $40 and the guy when I brought it back said it was only $19 that it will be back on my thing account but it was $40 and I have it on my bank statement and then they give a phone number to call him and nobody answers that phone I think it is ridiculous I think it is a rip off and I am going to talk to my lawyer tomorrow and sue you people

What an easy process. With an online account, finding the right vehicle and reserving it takes only a few minutes, and the pick up and drop off time is minimal.

gas level was not what was recorded. I took photos, I was charged for gas despite adding $15 in gas (3 gallons, I have pictures of the receipt also) which is silly considering I drove 19 miles total. you expect me to believe your trucks get 3mpg? i know they get 6-7. my comment, don't charge people a refilling fee when they refilled the vehicle. actually get in and check the reading instead of looking from outside the door and sayin yeah, that's about half way. I actually added more gas than I used, considering the gas gauge was more full than when I got the vehicle. Yes i have photos of that also.

The location changed from my original booking. I did not receive a notification of the change it was just shown on the reminder text. A notification of the change would have been nice to have ahead of time.

Not sure if I would recommend it. The two employees working the day that I picked up my vehicle were a bit smug, and had an attitude of "I don't give a rip about what your situation is." You should at least hear a customer out, and what their needs are, before cutting them off with your sincere lack of concern.

Keep on doing what you are doing. I had a couple of issues with the truck when it was brought around for me. The pad lock had no key. Fuel was way less on the gauge than on my contract. furniture pad bag was empty( I did not need anyway). Dillon was fantastic! He got me a lock with keys, put keys on the truck's ring. Adjusted the contract regarding the fuel and bags on the spot. After we returned the truck, we noticed we were missing a personal item my daughter thought she left in the truck. I made a trip to uhaul, asked the guys, they said yep and retrieved our belongings from the office. Your crew is hard working to make sure you have a top notch shop and they are honest. A pleasure to do business with your establishment.

When you tell someone one price and charge another is unacceptable to me and when I rented the vehicle they had they didn't have the truck that I wanted so they went to the next size up but said they would still charge me the same price when we went in to pick up the truck and pay for it I told the guy and he said oh OK it must be going to take it off at the end we went ahead and rented the vehicle took it came back paid for it I set my husband into pay for it and they did not take the money off so I'm just thinking there's got to be something in the computer that they could make a note or do something to make sure that you were telling one price and one price only

I made a reservation for a specific vehicle (Pick-up truck). When I arrived I was told my reservation had been changed to a box truck which did NOT meet my needs. I was transferred to a different U-haul several miles away to pick-up the truck. When I arrived it was not ready and not very clean. This was not only inconvenient, but cost me quite a bit more money since I had to travel more miles in my car, and in the rented truck. With rising gas prices and the interactions with staff, this was a very poor experience.

The location was great but the website/online pick up/checkout was a horrible experience. The website would not recognize I was at the location based off of my phone's GPS (even though my phone's gps ITSELF was showing me at the correct location) so I was unable to continue with the online process- tech support was entirely unhelpful and my only option was to drive twenty minutes away and pick up from a different location, delaying my move by an hour and (understandably) angering the movers that I had hired THROUGH Uhaul. Never again would I possibly risk trying to pick up a truck with the obviously flawed online check-out system. Other than that, everything else was great and the guys at the physical location were super helpful

Contactless checkin: use mobile device to “check in.” Well it kept saying that I was not at the location but I was . I had to find the QR code to scan. Did that. Then had to go through the check in process -fine though very extensive- then I had to wait for them to call my reference which took forever, waited for them to “approve” after they called. Then had to view and check that “I agree” with the agreement. Did that. Said it was going to tell me where they keys are Got the “loading” screen then screen that said the site is unavailable. Went out and logged back in again. It said i already have the truck though I didnt even know where they keys are. Had no way to find that out. Finally went in facility and waited in line, which is what I was trying to avoid. Finally got help. I told him what was going on and he reached behind him and got the keys. Like- so much for the contactless check in since i was going to have to go in to get the keys anyway and wait in line, after spending literally 45 minutes in the lot trying to check in to avoid all that other stuff. Got in the truck, gas tank on empty. Cant find the parking break anywhere. No way to adjust the mirrors without getting out and adjusting the mirrors after walking around to the other side the truck, but that doesnt work because how does anyone know where to adjust them to since they are not looking at and adjusting them while in drivers seat. Truck seemed very old and had problems shifting. I was not happy at all. In addition. When I first reserved the truck, it kept trying to sell me other stuff - i get that. But it was a lot of extra steps and screens to keep saying no to stiff. Also, i got my confirmation email of my reservation, but when I tried to find it, it kept saying that i had no reservation. Had to figure that out.

Please make sure to explain the fuel requirement better. We thought we needed to return the truck with the highlighted amount of gas when in reality we needed to return the truck with at least 1/4 of a tank.

I just received my bill and noticed a $25 cleaning fee? The girl that unhitched the trailer did not check the trailer and I had forgotten that I had left a pallet in the back. If she had done her job correctly- she would have checked the back before I drove away and I would have taken the pallet with me. Therefore , because of U Hauls lack of thoroughness with the return, I would like the $25 charge removed and credited. I rent a ton from U Haul (please see activity) and would appreciate a small pass on this as it was a negligible and neglectful thing on my part. Thank you. -Scott Davis BTW- they were not busy at all at the time of the drop.....

The young man that waited on me was not very confident showed he was very nervous like he did not know what he was doing and obviously he didn’t he did sell us the insurance and the unit did not offer to show us anything or tell us any instructions or anything about it did not offer a lock or anything so when I got home and I was asked about the lock I have to go back now to purchase the lock seem like a lot of charges were just added for getting a storage unit I think that he should’ve been more well trained before leaving him by himself when he was not really sure what he was doing

The customer has to make sure they do what they say they are going to do! They do remember what they say they are going to do but the customer still has to check back with them to get things fixed. They are friendly and and work to correct the matter right away when you ask.

I was very dissatisfied with the storage units that were scheduled for me when I got to the location. The units they want to put me in were not even accessible to get furniture to. This is why I hate doing all this online.

This company site charged premium prices. For an unsecured storage room. Nice new fancy gate that only secured one side of the parking lot. I was provided a fob for this gate but turned it in three times because it didnt work. Found out final week of my lease no one had bothered to enter all of the correct numbers. No cameras, securing the property of the people utilizing your service. Anyone can walk in at all hours of night. I will not use this site again!

I have been dealing with this particular u- haul for years and have never had an issue. But, this time they let me know I left my moving blankets inside and that they would set them aside, however they could not be found when I got there this time. I am out those blankets and funds.

I have already called and spoken to the GM. Your staff needs a refresher on corporate policies and customer service. He (GM) was kind enough to let me know he is refunding me the 15 late fee that was incurred in November on my account because the notice of late payment was mailed to my old address. He also listened to my concerns and reassured me he would work to communicate his expectations to his employees. I rented a pick up truck from Enterprise to collect my items. I do not plan on using Uhaul in any capacity moving forward. Which is unfortunate considering Uhaul was my preferred brand and I recommended them to everyone I knew. That all ended thanks to the poor customer service at this location. I sold my house in April and had to move 4 separate times for work. Moving forward I'll keep using 2 men in a truck / black belt movers / penske /enterprise. I'll also be renting from Dino's or Armor Storage as I have done in the past. They have provided me much better customer service, rental rates, security etc. Thank you for seeking my feedback. Have a blessed day.

We received a free one month rental because we recently rented a car trailer. Saturday afternoon when I stopped at the L street location, there were 2 females behind the counter talking with each other. When they finally finished their non work related concersation, the smaller one asked how she could help me. I told her I had a free rental and would like a 10 x 15 rental inside if there was one available. She got up, walked to the wall behind her, pulled a sheet of paper out of a container on the wall and proceeded to study it. After about 5 minutes she said sorry we don't have any 10 x 15 units inside. We only have outside units. I told her I didn't want an outside unit and asked what was available inside. She studied the paper again for a long while then said there was one 10 x 15 unit on the second floor and an 8 x 10. I explained we had heavy furniture so the unit on the second floor wouldn't work and that we had too much for an 8 x 10. I then asked her if we took the 10 x 15outside unit could we check back and switch to an inside unit if one came available inn the next week. She said no, not when it is the free rental. I told her I would wait and talk to my boyfriend who was meeting me at the locatioon. When he arrived about 5 minutes later" we wnt inside. The two girls were on their way out the door and said we have to check a truck so you can wait if you want bub it will ve awhile. We needed a unit so we gad no chiice but to wait. Thankfully, a third male employee came into the office at that time. He immediately greeted us, asked how he could help and within 2 minutes had a 10 x 15 indoor unit pulled up on the computer to rent to us. Not sure if th e first female employee was just too lazy to help us or just not trained??? Any 45 minutes after arriving, we finally had a first floor unit. A manager might want to also speak to the 2 female employees and remind them to limit their personal conversations while customers are waiting and to avoid making comments like Ugh not another truck to check in. Oh God, now there are two . Crap.

I must say, the store @ 86th & L is the cleanest Uhaul I have ever been in. The lobby spotless, restrooms the cleanest, staff was in Uhaul clothing , nothing was needed,AWESOME .customer experience.. Staff was polite, and even with a small delay on the computer system, no one over reacted .Was a great experience, thank you . Dave

The access to the storage unit is not really convenient. It was not explained during the purchase that the unit had to accessed by a ladder.

The storage room was very dirty. I brought a broom and filled a dust pan with previous tenants debris. Everything else could not have been better. Easy access, I like the free use of the carts, the security is reassuring and I like the loading dock.

I thought it was outstanding that we got a curtosey call checking on us. Then I had no idea of where to begin looking for a storage unit and it was brought to our attention that the 1st months rent was free through Uhaul! We save so much money thank you for that.
