Picking up and dropping off the uhaul was fine but the fact that the closest location available for the tow dolly was 45 minutes away from me and I was called the day before I was moving 5 hours away and that location was going to close 2 hours after they called and was closed the next day was extremely inconvenient!!! The worker at uhaul in parachute, CO needs to be retrained on how to treat and speak to customers!!Gillian R.
After an hour on hold on 6/11, I drove to the location of my U-box. I spoke with three different people, two of which confirmed they relayed our conversation to their supervisor. They said my U-box was to be moved from where it was to Mountain view on 6/12. I told them not to do this, I wanted to pick it up at 9:30 am right where it was now. I was assured three times this would happen. They still moved my U-box, the moving help had to scramble to find it, and instead of starting unloading at 9:30 on 6/13, it started at 5:00 pm. I went to a lot of personal trouble to try to have an efficient move but it didn't matter what the customer needed. Very disappointed, and oh yes, some of my belongings were damaged. I'd guess from a forklift catching the pallet on another pallet, then dropping my U-box (vertical impact, not horizontal impact caused damage). Please don't contact me regarding this review.James L.
The gas tank was less than half full. I assumed that I would returnitthat way, until I read the contract language which said that I was responsible for making sure the tax tank was on full when I left U-Haul. And that I was required to return it full (which I did). Please have your employee check the gas gauge with the customer!JAMES G.

Initial experience was great, the UHaul rep in Grand Junction was very helpful and understanding of my situation which involves moving my elderly parents. The logistics of the box worked well,; however service after was terrible. Upon the driver picking up the box, the driver randomly tacked on another charge. After repeated phone calls trying to find out why I was charged NO ONE COULD ANSWER THAT QUESTION! Multiple people said they would call me backâ€¦NOTHING. I finally had to file a dispute with my cc company to get this resolved. Once they have your money, they could care less about any issues.Linda R.

You have 9+ hours of phone calls from me to your Mesa AZ office I would encourage you to listen to and review. The website needs to be fixed. One cannot simply go from Mesa, AZ to Moab, UT in a simple A to B transaction. The customer is required to "self deliver" from Grand Junction to Moab as Uhual does not arrange to have your ubox go from Grand Junction to Moab, UT. This minute detail however, comes up at no place in the online reservation process. You're simply left with an Icon in the upper left portion of the timeline stating "Ubox available to request delivery". The word choice in that Icon leads a reasonable logical thinking individual to believe that Uhaul is going to Bring your Ubox to your new address and it's apart of the charges. At no point anywhere in the online reservation process, or initial MANY phone calls to Uhaul in Mesa are you made aware that actually it's on YOU as the end user to drive 2+ hours and spend 300 $+ to go get your things. The Mesa office operates on a path of least resistance style of answering questions. If it's the case they're "not sure" or "don't know" they choose to tell you as a customer that your items will be delivered. I guess this is what we get in a society where people don't care about their jobs and they know they won't be held accountable and have an "out". I'd encourage anyone reading this to open three tabs. Pods Upack Uhaul Pick Mesa AZ to Moab Utah for all three. Notice how Upack and Pods simply states up front within 10 seconds into the process that it does not offer this service? This is how Uhual needs to update the website. It needs to be CLEAR that the Box can only be delivered to a certain location and that you as an end user are going to be out even more money. Why is this important? I could have saved time and simply rented a truck myself and did the 8-10 hour drive for less money, but I thought by paying more, I would have the convenience of enjoying the trip in my vehicle. So by creating a 3 part move, it defeated the entire reason for the purchase. The best part about this entire process: You wait on hold, and you explain calmly, nicely, clearly what occurred, and you get people that dislike their jobs, have zero empathy, and the guy that picks up from Denver for the Grand Junction would must have a PHD in being a narcissistic sociopath. He's well on his way to executive level management as sadly that's the kind of attitude that's promoted/retained/respected within corporate America. Lastly: You have people that listen to calls just BLUNTLY barge into the phone call and then cold transfer you. I could understand if it was the case that I was using foul language, yelling, acting confrontational, etc. I've worked in call centers for 15+ years; I understand that you want to treat people kindly and you have a higher chances of resolving issues that way. Nope!! No amount of being nice, calm, understanding, patient, empathetic, joking, building rapport, absolutely NOTHING gets through to the individuals on the phones during this process. They're hardened and numb and clearly the public school system did a WONDERFUL job in creating compliant socially detached individuals for these types of positions. My advice to anyone reading this: Stick to the basics - truck rentals.Chris M.

I have done lots of business with Uhaul, specifically this location. I usually give 5 stars across the board. The truck reeked badly of cigarettes (Yuk), which concerned me of it's actual cleanliness (lysol?). There was a pair of sunglasses left behind from the last renter. I was almost charged for "low fuel" - luckily I took a photo of the "meters"/dash before leaving. There was only 1 lady on duty in the a.m. and she was definitely stressed. Her customer service needs work. Another gal came in, she was so friendly & helpful. Thank you! The gentlemen in the afternoon were so great! The only name I got was Augusta. My suggestion would be to introduce yourself as your customer approaches the counter. Lastly, my storage unit - as usual, very clean and operable! This place & it's equipment, over-all are well maintained. Thank youNita C.

I reserved a truck to pick up at 2739 Hwy 50. The only reason I decided to get a truck and then chose Uhaul was because of the pick up location. After spending 20 minutes trying to find this address, I called for directions. I wasn't able to speak with someone local, which was frustrating. But then I was told that the truck would not be available at this location; I needed to drive across town to get it. I never got a single call, text message, or email to tell me about this change. If I had known ahead of time, I would not have gotten the truck at all. My original trip was supposed to be less than 5 miles, but the last-minute change added over 10 miles to the trip, costing me more in gas and mileage charges than I had agreed to when I made the reservation. Also, unfortunately, the employee who helped me was not able to make any price adjustments to correct this problem. I'm not at all pleased with this.Sarah M.
I went to pick up a truck and they said I was at the wrong location. I asked if they had any pick ups and Farrah told me they did not. I went to the location that had my rental and they said that they did not have the truck that I had reserved days prior. I ask him to help me locate another truck which he did not do. I looked online and found a truck at, you guessed it, the location that I started at. Farrah lied to my face, or didn't want to bother checking. Not sure which is worse. All of this was the cherry on top of an over all horrible ubox experience. I will never be using uhaul again and will encourage everyone I know to do the same.TYLER T.
I made a reservation online for a 26ft truck. When I arrived, I was told it was not available. The largest truck available was a 17ft truck. The personnel at this location were polite, but could only offer a smaller truck with a 5x8 trailer. Unfortunately, the 17ft truck plus trailer was less than half that of the 26ft truck, the rental cost more because of the trailer, and I had to make multiple trips because I could not get everything in one load. I was called the day before my pick up date, and told I would not have a 26ft. truck. Maybe in 2 weeks I would have a 26ft. truck, but no guarantee. I had this rental arrangement in place for over a month. I had no choice but to rent a smaller truck. I waited while they prepared it for use. After leaving I discovered that the tail lights were faulty, I had to turn around and go back to the dealership. They gave me this faulty truck knowing I was moving interstate with my family in the cab!KIM H.

This location apparently doesn't respect the online reservation system which will tell you you have a confirmed reservation, but then they will not have ANY trailers available the day you come to pick up the trailer you had reserved and received confirmation for. They will try to give you a smaller trailer as a replacement without telling you and then insist that it is the right trailer only to backtrack and say "something changed, that sucks" when you show them the email confirmation of the ACTUAL trailer you reserved. Not something you want to hear when you are trying to move which is already stressful. Turned my move into a multi-day move and had to get rid of some of my belonging in order to fit my stuff into the pathetically-smaller trailer they gave me instead of the one I reserved.Zachary B.

My rental was supposed to be for 7:00 am. Unfortunately, there are a few locations in my area, and I showed up to the wrong location at 7am. By the time I got there at 7:15, there were 2 people ahead of me - the first one had a very complicated issue. There was only one person manning the desk. By the time I got my vehicle, it was 7:45 - and I had to bring the vehicle back by 11:00 am. It was difficult - and I got the vehicle back at 11:15. It would have been nice to pick up my vehicle closer to 7am as scheduled. The lady at the desk was very kind but 45 minutes would have made a huge difference in my day and my review.AUDREY K.

They checked it in then charged me a 20 $fee. This should be refunded. I previously have checked in using the online system several times in the past few months. Staff is excellent but the way the store is being ran is poor! Store does not have the appropriate equipment to run correctly!! No Flat bed trucks with Donkeys on the back to deliver & pick up UBoxes. But continues to falsely advise they do. I received 3 uboxes and was told after the fact that the store needed the trailers back right away because they didn't have enough for other customers. They put a lot of pressure on my to pack and go for them. They called me every day asking if I was done yet??? That's when the manager told me that they didn't have enough equipment or trucks Per advised. It really was not fair to me or the staff trying to run the store as advertised!!! I was stressed out, Overwhelmed by the pressure, etcâ€¦.. I feel I overpaid for what I got or not got. Once againâ€¦â€¦.. staff was doing the best they could with what they had or not had. I had a family emergency to deal with where I had a friend return the truck. Well he got busy and it ended up getting returned late. I had previously rented a truck from another dealer. My bill was 55 for 24 hours. My bill for having a truck for 2 days was. Over 200 dollars . in not happy at all about this i was expect a bill of a little over 100 dollars nit twice that amount.Jeff H.

Our top priority was having climate control for art and photographs and some electronics but would highly suggest this storage for anything. They have a clean facility and pest control to help keep it that way. Carts are at the door to help move items in and out. Staff was super helpful at the time of rental and checkout. I do have a situation though. My van was under the garage door that is suppose to stay open when you are unloading. but I saw it go down onto my van to where my dish satellite was. It left a mark. I don't hv it hooked up now and I don't know if it damaged it. It was on camera and seen my staff. When I asked the staff at arond 7 pm they said there was nothing on file about it. I was also told by staff via phone when I reserved the storage that I would receive a 10 by 20 storage that I could drive up to and just care my boxes into. I was also told at the beginning that my truck was 19,6 from back to front not including the cab over which made my move very hard. I had to leave some of my stuff behind. When I tried to switch trucks to a 26' kJ in Prescott told me I would hv to pay for both trucks in order to make that happen. I did reserve a 26' the night before but kJ told me when I came in the next morning that he didn't hv one. When I told him I had reserved one then he said it was broke. He told me to rent a trailer which was supposed to make the space the same as a 26'. All the staff were nice through the process except for kJ.. The last time I used you. I turned my rental in early and they gave me some of my fee back. This time they told me they don't do that with debt only cash. I also left my charger for my ph in the cab. Over the decades I have used U-Haul numerous times. This particular facility is absolutely the BEST!! The entire property is organized and well maintained, and improving weekly, as the curbs, and landscaping are being finished up. Once inside, you will see that it is clean, very well set up, and you are immediately welcomed by a U-Haul employee. The service is amazing; very thorough, and everything is gone over with you, and explained in concise detail. I reserved a drive up unit. I received an email confirming a drive up unit. Once I arrived to unload, I was informed I wasn't going to get a drive up unit, because they were planting trees!!!! This is our second time using this facility for large short term storage needs. I wouldn't go anywhere else. It's farther than other facilities for us, but it's absolutely worth the extra time. Farrah was extremely helpful and provided great customer service. On Saturday when I came in to unload the Uhaul into a storage unit the size originally reserved was not big enough. The stupid app wouldn't let me enter a fuel amount for after hours check in. I sat there for a half hour trying to get it to work but it wouldn't.
