The young lady who assist me when I rented the U-haul was very helpful. I forgot what her name was but she has on a General Manager tag. But when I returned the truck the same day I rented it because I only needed it for a few hours to move. I was met with by this woman with grayish hair. She was unbelievable rude over talked me and had an attitude. I never in my life had someone be that rude to me especially when I'm trying my best to be respectful. Just off I wouldn't use this place to rent anymore trucks for my catering again.Zahair M.
I had email confirmation for a reservation for a cargo van for intown use for one day. When I arrived for pickup, for some reason the system was showing me renting a 15 ft truck for 4 days to go to Indianapolis. Because there were no cargo vans left, I was given a 10-ft truck and offered a 10 $refund when I returned it. I never received the refund.Lauren M.

The lady at the front counter could at least be friendly and not act like I was bothering her when picking up the truck. When dropping off the vehicle, I pulled up to the drop off point and waited for someone to help with the return. Someone else pulled up behind me and that person was immediately taken care of. I decided to use the 24/7 app since apparently I was of no concern. Not using that location anymore.Mike O.

Changed my pick up time the evening before. if you reserve equipment you should be able to pick up at reserved time. Also tried getting a dolly from a different location but because I did't rent my vehicle from them I was unable to rent from them. I did't rent from them because they did't have size of vehicle i needed. I think you should be able to rent from any location the equipment needed.DANA D.

The fuel gauge level was not correct when I received the vehicle. Called the customer service # and they made notes and said it wasn't a problem and the location still charged me additional fuel chargeMICHAEL S.

Everything was fine with the Uhaul vehicle. The people who work inside are rude. Everything you ask them for seems like a huge inconvenience. Makes you uncomfortable asking for anything or any questions. People who are outside cleaning the trucks and inspecting them are not on the same page as the people inside. Definitely am not going to recommend anyone here. Next time I'll try to find a location that has nicer employees so I feel comfortable with receiving my Uhaul.MADISYN S.

I arrived a little early. Store was not open yet. A u haul employee arrived at 8 o clock. I walk to the door. When the employee got out I said good morning. She did not reply.when she open the door i went to go in and she closed the door on me. She could have said I will be with you in a minute.but said nothing. I feel she was very rude.Dennis G.
The lady that checked me in was not attentive at all. She stopped twice while helping me to help others that walked in after me. Literally stopped checking me in to help these two people. I felt like she discriminated against me. Not good business. When you start with one person continue with that person whiles others wait just like I waited when I first walked in.DEBORAH R.
I reserved two dollys with the truck. The location had none. Made my move far more difficult than it should have been. You shouldn't be out of dollys at 10 am when you're U HAUL. But that pales in comparison to the fact that somebody definitely urinated in the cabin. Y'all don't lock the doors on the trucks and everybody knows it. I rented a 15 foot truck stupidly thinking the 15 foot measurement was based on the floor space. When i tried to fit 14 foot boards in the back they would not fit. Come to find out the 15 feet is based on the ceiling measurement which includes the extra space over the cabin.Matthew D.
I was given an extremely hard time with this location. I called 3 other locations to verify if i could use the card on file and they told me yes, the reason i called 3 other locations was because kimberly (thats what she said her name was) was very rude and i didnt feel comfortable asking for further assistance from her. when i spent MY money to lyft to the uhaul place to pick up my rental i was given a hassle by all the employees saying i could not use the card on file bc they did not have "access" and that i could not use my visa or mastercard debit card when i called ahead to other locations to verify that it was acceptable. my mom had to drive 30 minutes from work to get to me just to provide her card at the uhaul center which was a waste of time and she shouldn't have had to do that. kimberly additionally decided that it was a good idea to call me and tell me my card was declined when it in fact was not because i had already received a receipt from my order and a request for a review, that was VERY inappropriate and messy for her to do especially to a young adult, at her ripe age she should know much better, i advised her to call my mom and she asked for her name and number (even though her information was already on file and she gave it again when. we got to the uhaul center) but she never even ended up calling my mom. If i had a reputable and established business such as uhaul i definitely would NOT allow, hire, nor want an individual such as kimberley working for my company as i'm sure customer service is of value to this company and kimberly is far from being an excellent representation of that, she truly paints your company in a bad light and has made my first experience with uhaul misery. I now fear what kimberely may do with my mothers information as it was very odd of her to call and ask for it and her story behind it was pure BS. I'm unsure if i will ever use services from uhaul again because of the experience i've gone through.Sydney P.

This place needs a serious training in customer service and relations. I had an cashier associate tell the cashier that was waiting on me ,she didn't need to apologize to me, I front of me because their system was running slow . Of course I asked her why would she say that in front of the customer with meat amazing right there. Ohhh,it escalated and yes she had every right to call the police. I read he so bad. I called to speak with the manager she made a promise to compensate me,which I never received an email with any changes included. Didn't happen. However, these ladies need to be on undercover boss,that's how rude and ignorant they are at the U-Haul West Bank , Gretna , LA location. The next month I closed out my storage and moved on. Terrible customer service. When we arrived to the Uhaul store, we were met with extremely rude employees that did not want to help at all. We had called corporate earlier that morning (since we had been canceled on the prior day 15 mins before pickup time) just to confirm that we had a truck reserved for pickup that day. They confirmed with the reservation #, time and location. We got to the store just to be told they did not have a truck, and when we tried showing our confirmation email/# to them, they did not look and said â€œI don't know why they told you that because we don't have any trucks.â€ We tried to see if there were any other options available for that day, as Saturday & Sunday were our only days to move (we were already canceled on on Saturday) and after 10 minutes of asking them if they had any alternate options, they said â€œwell since y'all are doing a one way, we don't have any trucks. But if you do a round trip, you can use one of our trucks for 24 hours, but we still don't have the size truck you booked.â€ So instead of taking responsibility that Uhaul was the one who messed up, they blamed it 100 % on us. The woman who checked me in, around 9:10am on Sunday August 15, she spoke to me like I wasn't even a human being. She clearly hated answering questions and working directly with customers. Staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Nothing was left to discuss and the return was pleasantly easy. I've rented from this location at least 9-12 times and was never disappointed. One other u- haul location is much closer to my home, but will â€œneverâ€ use them again.FRANCIS H.
The truck I received shouldn't have been unsanitary inside the vehicle, especially during the pandemic. I found a brush and other pieces of rubbish. The A/C was not working well, which was unfortunate as we live in New Orleans, and the summers can be humid and hot. The staff is beyond rude, wouldn't even get off of personal phone calls to assist me. I lost a whole hour of my rental bc I had trouble picking up and these people refused to help me. As I walked up to them, they literally turned their backs on me to continue talking on the phone. I will never be back to this Location and if i can help it no one else will either. Everyone was very friendly and professional. The rental paperwork only took a few minutes to complete then went outside to get my trailer. The gentlemen outside was very nice, he got the equipment hooked up and I was on my way. The return was just as good, pulled right in he came out unhooked the trailer and I was on my way.GARY N.

My reservation was changed by both time and location with no warning. I wish UHaul had been more clear about this possibility. Also, you need to warn people that a credit card is required to reserve a van/pickup. I would have done things differently if I had known this.SARAH P.
The sign in process is too time consuming and difficult. I answered all questions before arriving. But it takes forever to upload drivers license pictures. Simply taking a picture of license should be sufficient, especially if customer is a repeat, not some homeless person without good credit!Frank R.

The truck was so filthy that when I wiped the steering wheel with a disinfecting wipe, it looked like it had wiped the bottom of a shoe. Also, the air conditioning didn't work. Why would anyone want to drive a big aluminum truck with no AC during a heatwave. Thank goodness I only needed a truck for a few hours.Renee B.

You can do something about the efficiency of booking online. It can be a test of one's patience and perseverance. Nobody enjoys having to put the same information in 2 and 3 times. Why do I have to check my email 3 times during this process? Someone should consider the amount of time it takes standing at the counter, booking over the phone, versus online. Problem with online, I still had to stand in line, and go through the whole process again with customer service. What did you save me by booking online and costing me an extra 30 minutes of my time? And when I did call someone at another location before I tried online booking, I was told that he couldn't help me and that only way to reserve something was to do it online. This episode has me curious to try the competition out next time. Maybe they can help me efficiently.Matthew N.

The internet says that the storage facility is accesable until 10pm and after i rented it and was given a code, i couldn't get in at 6:30 pm and was told the following day that access was only during business hours.
