My reservation for this drop off location also included two 10x20x15 storage units. I called 2 weeks in advance and they said that they would have 4 units that size available. Upon arrival with my fully loaded 26’ Super mover truck and the largest trailer, they didn’t have any available even though I had them reserved and called in advance to guarantee they would be available. They instead provided me x3 10x15x15 units with one month free due to the inconvenience. The staff did great at resolving the issues from the pickup location. So I really appreciate that. U-haul needs to guarantee that reservations for storage units are honored.

He is definitely one of a kind and if it wasn't for his professionalism and patience as well as understanding, I might of had the worst day possible. TERESA GThe staff here left us stranded on the morning of a scheduled move. We had a truck rented for 7 AM and by the time 7:30 rolled around we were calling the emergency number on the sign outside. That call woke someone up who was surprised to hear nobody was there to open and said they were "on the way." By about 8:15 or so we finally had our truck, but now severely off schedule on an already very stressful day. You cannot do that to people.
NICKOLAS MI reserved a truck and unit online and when I went to go pick up they said it would be a 100$ with the deposit. So I asked so I was clear so the total would be 100$ in total. They said yes and I said ok I’ll have to come back because it didn’t say anything about that online so I go get the money and come back and the guy I was talking to was gone for the day ok no problem then as I’m standing there they told me no it would be 160 for the truck rental and free unit and as I’m starting to get a little unhappy about this I told them I can’t do it the other guy told me less but I went back got the rest of the money again and came back to the store rented the truck and did my paperwork on the unit we set my code and I tried it for her and it didn’t work and I told her explicitly I have a entire night of move my things in because I’ve got to be out of my place by morning she said she would get it fixed and I took her at her word. But guess what she didn’t fix it at all and it still didn’t work so not only am I on my landlords bad side because he has contractors coming this morning but I paid for a truck I couldn’t use to move anything because there was no where to take it to because my code didn’t work and probably going to get me into a good amount of crap from my landlord and most likely fined because someone was way to toked out to be in charge of anything. So as of this far the free unit is most likely not going to be free it’s going to cost me more then a disabled veteran can afford. And when I checked with the live rep option they couldn’t do anything to help

KATY VThe only issue that experienced was that the truck was not logged back into the system when I returned it. I brought it back shortly before closing and the person that I gave the keys to asked if I wanted my receipt emailed. I didn’t think anything else about it until I got a call th following morning asking when I planned to return the vehicle. I explained and he apologized. I got an email receipt shortly after, confirming that the truck was returned. Everything else was great.

Not a big deal as we drove a very short distance and therefore didn't use much gas - just would have been easy to add a couple of gallons myself. The windshield wipers on nothing vehicles we so worn out you couldn't see to drive. I had to pull over and worse drive blindly for miles on the highway because the wipers we mot Clearing the windshield. This is a huge safety issue that UHAUL needs to address on every vehicle. No vehicle should go out with dried out brittle wipers. The heating system didn't work well either The windshield would fog up and the defrost circulation seems to make ir worse.i had to drive in the ran with the windows down so to barley see out of the windshield at highway speed. Better maintenance is needed.
IGNATIUS CThe return process was abysmal. Returned after hours and it was convoluted and wanted way too many things to be downloaded/entered. Way too many 'hidden fees' that I'm still hoping don't add up to more than I have already paid. Just be open an honest with the rental, and maybe pay a little more upfront, and stop all the 'but you might owe' crap.

I actually drive the vehicle 10 miles and then took pictures of the odometer so why you really see for 19.95 a day is actually aad on s an lies about mileage that cost me for less than 4 hours 73 dollars. Rip Off.

Joy T | Expérience généraleThere was no location. I was directed by Uhaul to return the truck to a location THAT DID NOT EXIST. I was in a shopping center in a giant Uhaul truck. When I called the number provided, it was a fax machine the first time. I called back several times and the person who answered did not appear to speak English and hung up on me. I ended up driving the Uhaul across town to another location. In the meantime, I had paid for an Uber ride that met me at the shopping center. I also had to pay extra for gas (I had filled the truck to the proper amount but then had to drive across town and couldn't stop to refill as I was worried about missing a flight). I had to pay a cancellation fee for the Uber since I had to drive across town to return the Uhaul. This delay led to a lot of stress about me possibly missing a flight back to NM that evening. I made the flight but the whole experience was incredibly stressful and frustrating, and I will not use Uhaul again based on this experience.

I had to call uhaul several times to try and resolve the inconvenience that they shifted from them onto me and each time they made no effort to assist. Spoke to rude representatives and would not recommend uhaul to anyone. Tried last minute to find another service and couldn’t find availability. Other services were up to 40% cheaper and much more friendly and helpful. I’m choosing Penske, Budget, or anyone else next time.

I had moved out of state had my son to get the remaining off my stuff. I gave him the wrong key for the storage unit. I was informed that they don’t cut locks I would need to get a lock smith and I had to be there too get it cut off. I informed the guy I was 1200 miles away could I speak to a manager. Now my son is there standing in his face. He whispered I am a manager I’m the general manager and say is there anything else I can help you with. I say you haven’t helped me and hang up. I call my son and he tells me he was not the general manager not even the manager the general manager was actually there and when he whispered that and hurried me off the phone the general manager gave him a funny look. I use storage in Colorado Springs all the time. Like I said I have had a storage there since about 2010 or 2011 but they no longer have to worry about me every using them again and most time I have multiple units there. I will gladly take my business else where and make sure I let everyone I come across know how they don’t care snout their customers

But then they “didn’t know” if they changed the lock or someone broke in and changed it. I explained that I was currently amidst a scary domestic violence case and I needed to know if it was them or if I should call the police. The employee literally LAUGHED and hung up on me and said call the police. When I informed the manager of this I was really upset and he informed me that he handles his employees properly. A lot more to this story but that’s to the point enough to see how this location is managed by a bunch of school boys that are not considerate of VIOLENCE and abuse.

If we can access those doors during office business hours- we should be able to use them when the office is closed.. you can’t get in during business hours unless you use your code anyways - so what’s the difference? Aside from that- the location is great, staff has always been super nice and helpful.

They tell me your computer system is always wrong. Then they try to get me to go to another property across town. Finally they find and indoor unit (I wanted drive-up), rented it to me, then when we went to go look at it, there was already a lock on it, someone was renting it, but it didn't show in their computer. So we had to go find another one. All together they were unorganized, and not really helpful. I would recommend fixing your computer system online to reflect what is actually available at your locations. Horrible experience.

I eventually did end up renting a truck and was still told that didn't apply to me and it was too late for them to include me on that offer. The storage units just north of this location are constantly $25-$50 less per month than uhaul ended up being. Uhaul kept my stuff safe, along with the moths, but I will not be a return customer. Don't mention promos you can't actually give to the customer.
