Be sure the hook up crew tightens the trailer coupler to the ball. Mine was not and the trailer came off the vehicle in traffic a few miles from the facility. Luckily no injuries and no damage, but it was a close call. Check in person was apologetic and discounted the rental, but please work out a system where this doesn't happen again. Return crew was a bit rude. I was late for another appointment because I had to wait an hour before my UHaul reservation was ready (previous renter was late). When I returned the trailer, the crew was working with another customer. Being in a hurry, I backed the trailer into another spot. I got out and and said I was in hurry, asked would this spot be OK. The return person said no, I would need to get back in the vehicle and move to another spot 20 feet away. I would assume that UHaul has the equipment and manpower to move an empty trailer 20 feet for a customer who is short on time.

The whole staff everybody in that building was very rude with me and my family they wanted to fight with me. They came up to my face, so give me a hard time I didn't do anything to them.

Need more help at the front desk and people without attitude. Also, need to go over all the extra charges in detail. I know there was a long line and only one person, but I was charged for the use of a dolly I didn't need or used, but removed it so I could utilize the whole truck. Did not tell me about the charge.

I waited for 30 minutes this morning to pick up a dolly. There were 4 employees that I saw, but only 1 was left to man the desk, and she answered the phone, could've placed them on hold but instead helped them for 10 minutes, then spent 15 minutes helping another person who had to deal with an employee losing their key. Then it was my turn. 10 minutes for a $10 appliance dolly, but a $60 deposit is outrageous!!! I was late enough as it was. Even returning the equipment I waited another 10 minutes. An HOUR at uhaul for an appliance dolly today. Thanks everyone.

The person working the front counter was rude and couldn't answer our questions. The U-Haul smelled like weed, and on the return we were charge to fold one of the padded blankets… which we weren't informed that dirty padded blankets would need to be folded or we would be charged…. Also why would need to fold the blanket if they are being washed? But I'm assuming they are just reused and dirty without being cleaned like the rest of the U-Haul.

Vehicle was fine and used it as this is the closest location. But, the rental out/return experience was terrible. Just one person at the counter on a Sunday, half asleep, taking forever for each customer. Wasted lot of time. Few stormed out in anger. Marked NA for Recommendation as I don't ant to jump to conclusion with one visit.

Pay attention to the reviews, you may get exactly what you need but it will not come easy. It will only come with irritation, and there seems to be a staff shortage so honestly they are all irritated and show it in front of customers. I do understand at a certain degree, however there needs to be more professionalism at this location.

The manager here is absolutely horrible! She has continued to have a behavioral problem. She has a power trip, has talked to me like complete garbage, which left me stranded, without a vehicle, in the rain at her facility. She is so unprofessional, rude and inconsiderate of people and their needs. She needs ru be fired immediately!!! I will never rent from UHAUL again. You have lost a long time customer because of this manager and lack of professionalism as a whole with UHAUL. I have traveled the country for the last 35 years. Never have I encountered a move so horrible! I have been taken completely advantage of, leaving me in a financial crisis. I should be reimbursed for some of the costs of this trip.

It was fine. I don't rent with U-Haul for the stellar in-person customer service. Every location I've ever been to it seems like there should be 1-2 additional people helping in the storefront area. Waited 45 minutes in line, but once I got to the desk it was quick to check-in and get the truck.

Had an amazing experience on the 800# and the app. Both were solid. Pick up / drop off was really below average. Customer desk understaffed. Line 3 deep for one woman. 2nd customer service lady did not speak English so nobody could get helped by her. I have a hard time believing she was learning anything if in training due to all business not in her native tongue. While in line a delivery truck pulled up and the one English speaking rep had to deal with the driver and sign off on paperwork. I believe there were at least 2 more customers (remote) on the telephone while I was waiting. Similar experience on drop off. I just asked if I needed to deal with a rep for drop off and found out I didn't, so I could just leave and get invoiced electronically. 2/3rds of the experience was really good and the price was very competitive. That location needed a manager who could ensure more discipline and flex staffing from other team members to help with customer queues and deliveries.

Lack of customer service. The employee who helped us was helping clients on the phone and her coworkers causing us to waste 45 minutes in line/ of our scheduled reservation time then stated we had to bring our UHaul back in time because there's another reservation scheduled and continued to help other customers cutting into our reservation time. Never again will I recommend this location.

There was one older woman with blonde hair ( I forgot her name ) she went above and beyond to help me. Now the rest of the employees, when they see customers they scatter like roaches at a raid party. One guy told me, "I'm new, you will find them in there somewhere." Lastly that storage door need to be fixed………….Never!

Due to the lack of customer service, I waited an hour in line for my rental pick up. At no point in time while waiting did the sales associate explain to anyone that reservations can be sped up if you do all of their work on line, or on your cell phone. My reserved spot for 8 hours was reduced to 7 hours because I sat in line. When I brought it to the sales associate's attention, he made it a point that he would have to do more work in order to change my reservation. Only because the lack of care or attention that the office had for my needs. Moving is a real pain, but that uhaul office made moving worse!!! Never again.

Make the trucks accessible for petite-height people. I couldn't reach the grab bars. Also, have customer service ppl more able to help with small issues like the latch not working. I called and was transferred, which was very complicated for such a small question. People are exhausted when moving stuff. You should make it easy for any request while moving.

0,69 cents was blurted out to me when I rented the vehicle that would be the gas mileage. I mistakenly did not look at my contract. So whatever. Yall lose points for that and a continued customer.

Moving can be a very stressful process, and things never go according to plan. I've rent a Uhaul many times before this, however the service that I received from Elijah Hernandez was top class!! Professional, low pressure, and very knowledgeable, would be a few adjective I would to describe him!

This was the 3rd location for the pick up and only was told about this 3rd change about an hour in advance and were on our way to the 2nd location. Was not convenient to get to for us. Staff were nice but seemed overwhelmed. I understand notifying a day in advance if change is needed but not an hour. With reservation and confirmation why wasn't the truck kept for us at the 2nd location? Hard to feel good about the process with so much confustion.

The GM, Francis, is extremely rude to customers. She is trying to charge me $698,32 for 3 days of rental on a 17 ft truck because I needed to extend the days needed because I inconvenienced another reservation. You would think this U-Haul only has one truck a available at the Research/Oak Knoll location. She could have easily given the other person a 20 ft truck that is the same price. This mgr is vindictive and out of control.

I made reservations for a 20' truck for 6 hours. My reservation got moved to a new location the day before pick up. I called and that location did not have a truck for me, so I was moved again to a location 30 miles away because I was assured to get the truck for 6 hours. I arrived and was treated beyond poorly. The clerk would not listen to my situation, would not help me find a new truck, and threatened not to rent to me at all. I was alloted only 3 and a half hours with the truck despite having to drive an extra total of 60 miles just to use it. I had no option to comply because I had to move and all of this information was given to me at the very last second.

- web site did not mention that a "major credit" card is required - could not find the keys to my rental - give a truck with a bad "door open" sensor without mentioning it - did not enter my return in the system in a timely fashion - could not resolve the situation on the phone and had to drive back to the location to sort it out and avoid being charged late fees to be clear this is not the location's fault: they are clearly understaffed and in spite of working hard they have a hard time pulling it off.

Manager who was assisting me was answering personal calls with myself and 3 others in line. She charged me for protection coverage even though I declined it. She marked my contract as a full gas tank. Although the gage read as full it was not. I drove a total of 7 miles and had to put 5,3 gallons to top it off costing $16. Upon returning the truck the associate who helped me was the rudest in customer service I have ever experienced. I have to go back tomorrow to discuss the gas discrepancy with the Manager. I hope that this problem is resolved. I will never rent from UHAUL again, and I am spreading the word.

High turnover rate for all employees, went through 3 managers, multiple times I had to file insurance claims due to the rats. Even after moving to a smaller unit I was told the rat problem was being taken care of. When I went to move my stuff out because you decided to raise my rent again I found rat feces all over my stuff. Would never recommend uhaul to my worst enemy.

Rat infested units. I paid you guys 160 dollars a month for two units to store my belongings just to have it peed on and have rats defecate all over my belongings. I had to throw away 50 percent of my things because of the urine and poop, it was in totes, boxes, trash bags and on some irreplaceable items such as my dinning room table that was left behind from my late father. A couch that belonged to my father had to be thrown away and some clothing and bedding and much much more. Absolutely disgusting and absolutely devastating. It is unsanitary to allow people to store their belongings there and it's very unprofessional to take their money while allowing such a infestation.

The staff at this facility went out of their way to be accommodating, kind and courteous. I was blown away at how helpful they were. I was moving by myself and really couldn't have done it without their help and support. I have had difficulty with the main Uhaul call center employees before but the employees at this location are spectacular. Merci encore.

Everything was fine except the moment that you guys keep spamming me with your messages and email about leaving a review. This is so f**king annoying. Restaurants often offer a coupon or a 10$ discount for a review, u-haul doesn't offer anything. Please stop spamming people with reviews. Waited an hour to get my storage unit, though already booked, the system wouldn't access. 3 people working there tried helping (workers were kind), but none could figure out how to give me access to the storage unit I had previously booked, while my movers sat outside waiting for me (and I paid them by the hour). Then when I got to the 10 mins before closing, unit it was not climate controlled, floors dirty, super hot and rat traps inside the unit. DISGUSTING AND DISAPPOINTING! Because of the time at night had no other choice but to use it or have to pay movers again the next day and find a different storage facility. Went back to the front desk where employees were to get the climate controlled unit I had booked, they said none were available larger than 5' and there was no elevator access or ground level access. My things are currently sitting in over 100 degree weather, I paid $100 of movers time waiting to get access to the unit and I am absolutely LIVID my things are sitting in this heat. Getting things out as soon as possible and NEVER using Uhaul again or recommending. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

I thought I would get a key fob so I don't have to get out of my car and go to the card reader for access to the gate. Last time I rented a storage room here I didn't have to leave my car to get the gate opened.

Terrible experience, I was locked out from my storage after my move in, around 8pm I came to unload my truck and no one over the phone in customer service was able to help me. This girl Diana from customer service was extremely rude and did not even want to listen to me and my issue, she was trying to shrug me off with an excuse that it's storage closing hours. No one was available to unlock it for me. I do not understand what was the issue. Na apologize received, no compensation received, everybody acts like this is the best customer service they can provide.

The lady that worked on 3/6/22 did not offer me the correct unit for a 1 bedroom. Had to go in the office several times to switch units because she had no clue about the size unit needed. She gave me small units. Went to different employee and ask for a unit that I could fit a large couch , queen bed. 2 TVs , boxes and so on in order for them to have an clear understanding of a unit that is big enough for a 1 bedroom. Then I paid for a dolly and it wasn't in the truck. Had to move all my things without a dolly from upstairs. Worst experience I've ever had at Uhaul.

Door to my storage building was locked and had to wait 20 minutes for someone in the office to come unlock it. This was during access hours and the building should not have been locked. There are always long lines in the office and it moves very slowly.

Answer to Q#4 - Most times yes, sometimes no. Most interactions have been friendly. But one person gets stressed when it's busy and you can tell in their answers, attitude, and tone of voice. A deep breath and a smile before responding will help.

I really enjoyed my experience with this Uhaul location. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted immediately. Even though the employees were with guests, they acknowledged my presence immediately. I was greeted by Junior. He was attentive to my needs & answered all of my questions. He took the time to explain everything so that I understood what I was responsible to do. I felt like a valued customer throughout my experience. I would definitely recommend this location to a friend or family member. The facility is well taken care of. Even the restrooms were clean. Thank you for clean restrooms!

Staff are very nice! Storage unit is old, levers rusty. Rat trap within unit. When moving in a commercial truck was parking in front of many unites, washing out the truck back. H/M was the company. They moved the truck after a short wait but left puddles of water in front of our unit. So, we ended up tracking mud and extra dirt into the unit, needlessly. they should wash their truck elsewhere.

Two break-ins in two weeks. No camera footage, and no additional security. No leads as to the culprit. Not secure, massive gaps in protection and locks were pointless as the latches are flimsy and we're simply broken off instead.

I was told that it was a five day rental and was quite surprised to see I was charged for two additional days. I returned the trailer on Monday morning and had I know that I would be charged $88 for two days I would have made other arrangements to unload on Monday. I also rented a storage unit and when I went to unload the unit had been vandalized so had to wait for a U-Haul person to repair the three walls that had holes in them. So waiting for that cost me extra. Smh.

I had out door storage and there was a problem with crickets a lot of dead crickets that I had to clean out of the storage I rented. I was not happy about that, but other than that it was a good experience.

In going through the boxes that I have moved out, I am noticing water damage on a high percentage of them. Not sure if it was from last years winter freeze or what. I did notice a broken board near the ceiling. Looks like I am going to lose at least 50 % of the things that I had stored. Management is great and the facility is easily accessible. Facility is in a good location and is well lit at night. I am a bit disappointed though that there are no dumpsters at the facility.

The best storage facility and staff by far. Everyone was so friendly and professional. Getting my storage was a simple and quick process. Staff was so helpful in making sure I had what I needed.Check in was so smooth. As soon as your drop off your truck/trailer they're there to receive it. They inspect and deep clean them right away for next customers. Very very professional staff.

It's hard to cancel any pre-existing orders like when you upgrade storage. It's difficult to get in touch with anyone at the actual storage unit, via email and telephone.

I had a last minute eye emergency that caused us to cancel the 26ft truck but we still needed the storage room. Not only was the phone staff helpful w the change of plans, the on-site person was so kind and also helpful. Five stars all day long! This is 2 weekends/rentals in a row of great service. Well done.

I don't understand why there is a limit as to when I can go to the secured location. When I initially rented i couldn't get there with my first load to store while the facility was open (the office), but came back before the secure area closed the unit they assigned me had a lock on it. The next morning the worker was awesome and helped assign a new unit. I work late so, the timing for the secured units was difficult to work with. It would be nice if it were 24 hours, there are cameras to assist so I don't know why this cannot be an option.

I moved from another facility sight unseen because of the website pics and the prices. I was able to order the storage unit online. NO WHERE on the site did it say I would have to wait 30+ minutes to have the unit made ready upon arrival. NO WHERE when making the reservation for the unit did it show a photo pf the actual unit. I was HIGHLY disappointed. The staff is miserable, unfriendly, and has zero idea on how to staff properly or communicate with customers. From the initial signing of the paperwork and getting the card access thingy to the final call to confirm I had a zero balance and was moved out, this location is subpar. I've been inside the office 6 times total and every time there was a line of customers, no one greeting people, and staff unhappy. Once an employee (with a neon green and blue wig on) was cussing in the store to another employee. Its the closest Uhaul for rentals for our company so we will keep coming back for that... Unless we find another moving truck place but the storage lasted less than a month and we moved it out. It was not good.
