My phone number was wrong on file at first, but email was correct I missed the call to drop-off the containers Then updated my phone but still missed the call because the update was not made everywhere Then updated my phone number and didn't have any problems In the future, make sure important info is updated everywhere and try the email address as a backup. The rental was changed due to a parking error. That wouldn't have been a problem but the van I ended up with had damage. But, I never received a second inspection link, nor was the contract information updated via email. It was disconcerting that I had a contract for a different vehicle I couldn't verify damage on hoping I didn't get pulled over with documentation for a different vehicle.James K.

Sadly, this was a horrible experience. We were so impressed with the the Ubox idea and putting our things in the box worked great, but then they moved the box to a different location without our knowledge or consent, and we only were keeping it there 1 month. We arrived at the location that we had loaded our box, to be told to drive 30 miles away, well we were going to need several trips to and from apartment so then that adds hours and gas $$. We arrived at new location and they said it wasn't there. Then they found it. I had already spent hours on the phone with 5 different agents the day before to give the 24 hours notice required to access the box, and each person said something different, and then when I would call back, no notes had put in that I had called before to request access. Unfortunately, we won't use Ubox again, sad because I was really excited and intrigued by the concept!Michael M.

My Ubox was moved from Uhaul at UT Austin, to this Uhaul on research boulevard and this was never communicated to me. No email, text or other form of communication was sent to inform me that my box had been transferred to a location almost 10 miles away. The day of my pick up I was fortunate to have helpful Uhaul staff that searched the system for my Ubox because my records were apparently inaccurate. It caused me a few wasted hours, but more importantly I am floored that Uhaul would move my Ubox without informing me. This is a grave error, and unless someone from the company reaches out to me with an explanation and an apology, I will never recommend Uhaul to any friends ever again. Originally reserved a 26' truck at Lone Star Customs in Killeen, TX. I reserved there because it was "guaranteed". The truck was not available on the pick-up day. Spent hours on the phone trying to find a truck within 100 miles. You should not advertise "guaranteed" if you, in fact, cannot guarantee. Again, this is NOT concerning this location in Austin - they were great. This is concerning the original location in Killeen.Shaun K.
Make sure to be accurate on the fuel because I was told how much gas was in the vehicle & that was incorrect so I put the amount of fuel the Van was given to me & charged almost $40 for apparently not filling it up to where the representative stated it was at. Made a reservation on 7/25 for 7/31. Was informed I would get a call on 7/26. No call, no message. On 7/29 I drive to the UHaul location I selected and spoke to a uhaul employee that informed me that my rental was setup to be 11 miles away at the Research Blvd location. I expressed concern that by doing that you incurred atleast an increase of $20 to my bill because Uhaul couldn't bring the truck to the location requested in the 5 days before my need. I was told that because I asked for an after hours pickup Research was the only option. I was given the logistics? phone number to ask for an alternative. I called the number and waited :30 to discover I could move it closer it I chose a larger truck(which I didn't need) somewhat closer but not enough to make it worthwhile so o declined. I took an Uber to the Research location at the time the uhaul Apple iPhone app told me. It was 1030p on Saturday that I was dropped off by Uber at the research location. I attempted to use the uhaul app to get my truck but it wouldn't allow me. I called the help line and waited :20 to be told they couldn't help and needed to transfer me to customer service. I am now in the dark sitting at a uhaul location waiting for someone to answer the phone..again..and the estimated time is :50-:60. I decide to call an Uber to go home while on hold. After another hour on wait customer service answers and tells me while the app told me the truck was reserved it wasn't scheduled so the service person fixed it for pickup at 7a the next morning. I again U-verse back to the location in the morning and began my mobile checkout. It told me the lock and code to access the key box to get the truck key. I did it but the key was not in the box. It was fortunate d that a uhaul employee was there at 730 to go inside and get my key. Of course after getting my key the requested blankets and dolly were not in the truck so I had to acquire them from the same employee. 1. I never received a call or message about my reservation as you claimed I would. 2. As a result I visited the location of my rental 3 days before to ask about status. 3. The person at the uhaul location told me my rebatable was 11 miles away. 4. I called in attempt to get my rental pickup closer. 5. In neither 3 or 4 was I told something was amiss with my reservation. 6. I incurred 2 extra Uber trips and a couple hours of terror regarding my ability to satisfy my requirements. So to be constructive I will offer; 1. You iPhone app and website are not aligned. Different information is shown on each. 2. You failed to contact me about my rental as you indicated you would. 3. I proactively attempted to ensure everything was setup and was never informed of any problems until the moment of my rental. 4. At the worst possible time..middle of the night, sitting alone isn't he dark at your facility I was forced to be on hold for 1,25 hrs to resolve an issue I didn't know existed. I am not one to complain but the come day of errors and the lack of consistency between your app platforms led to increased expenses and frustration at a time where many people were relying on your company to execute a basic operation. I cannot I good faith recommend or repeat my use of uhaul. I understand the ending the month is logistically difficult but of any company earth I would thin uhaul would have that nailed. Reserved w cc in person a week early only to show up at 9 and be told my res pick up local was changed 20 miles away. And the lady that took my res and cc was like you should have got an email from uhaul, not my fault. Had friends and fam waiting to help , didn't start moving till 12:30. Missed early cool temps, loaded in 100+ heat, late departure on trip and late for the unloading process, late to get back and more charges. I found out at 8:12 PM that my 7 am pickup was moved to this location. That is an unacceptable amount of notice for a reschedule. When I voiced my discontent with the voided contract, it was quickly dismissed as if they were proud of themselves for delivering at all. Then, the rep, Ivy, kind of insisted that the assistant manager, Lexi, called at 8:12pm, even though I never received a call. Either way, Ivy then proceeded to put the wrong drop off address. Working with uhaul cost me hundreds of dollars because we were late to arrive so the movers could get started. Again, because I found at the night before I had to drive 15 minutes and wait in line for an additional twenty minutes. Very unpleasant. Unprofessional.JOSEPH M.

I reserved a 4X8 cargo trailer reservation number 23440155 with a pickup location in Spicewood Texas. I was told an Uhaul representative would call to confirm however no one ever called me. I confirmed the reservation 2 weeks prior to pickup and was advised the reservation was good to go. I called again on Saturday June 23 and was told my pickup location had been changed to Marble Falls Texas, approximately 50 miles further than the Spicewood pickup location. Clearly unacceptable. I was then told there were NO cargo trailers in Austin, only open trailers, and the pickup location was approximately 20 from my house, going in the complete opposite direction from where I needed to go.Paul S.

Restaurants often offer a coupon or a 10$ discount for a review, u-haul doesn't offer anything. Please stop spamming people with reviews. Made a reservation indicating to return the uhaul at night. Before driving off the lot, I was told several times that it would be okay to return uhaul in the morning. Morning rolls around and I get a call over the phone. The man does not clearly identify himself or state the purpose of the call. I had to tell him to identify himself. He states the rental is late and it was due in the evening on the day prior. I explain my situation and the miscommunication and ask if we are able to extend the reservation with additional fees. The man continues to state how he is unable to do so and that it was already reserved for someone else. He continues to explain how HE is inconvenienced that we did not return it and how HE has to pay the fees for it not being returned. He proceeds to say â€œI can't come force you to bring it in but I can report it stolenâ€. I DID NOT INDICIATE IN ANYWAY THAT I WANTED TO STEAL THE UHAUL prior to his comment and I only wanted to know if we could extend. He would not let me speak over the phone and continued to interrupt me regarding fees in which I had to finally demand he let me speak. VERY unsatisfied by his accusations that I was stealing the uhaul. Unsatisfied with his lack of professionalism. No resolution over the phone. After the phone concluded, we return called and asked to speak to a manager in which she was able to grant us an extension with additional fees. Ridiculous.Ann Marie N.

Waited an hour to get my storage unit, though already booked, the system wouldn't access. 3 people working there tried helping (workers were kind), but none could figure out how to give me access to the storage unit I had previously booked, while my movers sat outside waiting for me (and I paid them by the hour). Then when I got to the 10 mins before closing, unit it was not climate controlled, floors dirty, super hot and rat traps inside the unit. DISGUSTING AND DISAPPOINTING! Because of the time at night had no other choice but to use it or have to pay movers again the next day and find a different storage facility. Went back to the front desk where employees were to get the climate controlled unit I had booked, they said none were available larger than 5' and there was no elevator access or ground level access. My things are currently sitting in over 100 degree weather, I paid $100 of movers time waiting to get access to the unit and I am absolutely LIVID my things are sitting in this heat. Terrible experience, I was locked out from my storage after my move in, around 8pm I came to unload my truck and no one over the phone in customer service was able to help me. This girl Diana from customer service was extremely rude and did not even want to listen to me and my issue, she was trying to shrug me off with an excuse that it's storage closing hours. No one was available to unlock it for me. I do not understand what was the issue. The lady that worked on 3/6/22 did not offer me the correct unit for a 1 bedroom. Had to go in the office several times to switch units because she had no clue about the size unit needed. She gave me small units. Went to different employee and ask for a unit that I could fit a large couch , queen bed. 2 TVs , boxes and so on in order for them to have an clear understanding of a unit that is big enough for a 1 bedroom. I really enjoyed my experience with this Uhaul location. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted immediately. Even though the employees were with guests, they acknowledged my presence immediately. I was greeted by Junior. He was attentive to my needs & answered all of my questions. He took the time to explain everything so that I understood what I was responsible to do. I felt like a valued customer throughout my experience. Staff are very nice! Storage unit is old, levers rusty. Rat trap within unit. When moving in a commercial truck was parking in front of many unites, washing out the truck back. H/M was the company. They moved the truck after a short wait but left puddles of water in front of our unit. I was told that it was a five day rental and was quite surprised to see I was charged for two additional days. I returned the trailer on Monday morning and had I know that I would be charged $88 for two days I would have made other arrangements to unload on Monday. I also rented a storage unit and when I went to unload the unit had been vandalized so had to wait for a U-Haul person to repair the three walls that had holes in them. In going through the boxes that I have moved out, I am noticing water damage on a high percentage of them. Not sure if it was from last years winter freeze or what. I did notice a broken board near the ceiling. Looks like I am going to lose at least 50 % of the things that I had stored. Management is great and the facility is easily accessible. Staff was so helpful in making sure I had what I needed.Check in was so smooth. As soon as your drop off your truck/trailer they're there to receive it. I had a last minute eye emergency that caused us to cancel the 26ft truck but we still needed the storage room. I don't understand why there is a limit as to when I can go to the secured location. When I initially rented i couldn't get there with my first load to store while the facility was open (the office), but came back before the secure area closed the unit they assigned me had a lock on it. The next morning the worker was awesome and helped assign a new unit. I work late so, the timing for the secured units was difficult to work with. It would be nice if it were 24 hours, there are cameras to assist so I don't know why this cannot be an option.Tanya K. | Expérience générale

I moved from another facility sight unseen because of the website pics and the prices. I was able to order the storage unit online. NO WHERE on the site did it say I would have to wait 30+ minutes to have the unit made ready upon arrival. NO WHERE when making the reservation for the unit did it show a photo pf the actual unit. I was HIGHLY disappointed. The staff is miserable, unfriendly, and has zero idea on how to staff properly or communicate with customers. From the initial signing of the paperwork and getting the card access thingy to the final call to confirm I had a zero balance and was moved out, this location is subpar. I've been inside the office 6 times total and every time there was a line of customers, no one greeting people, and staff unhappy. Once an employee (with a neon green and blue wig on) was cussing in the store to another employee. Its the closest Uhaul for rentals for our company so we will keep coming back for that... I love the facility and the gate and extensive security cameras , but AM NOT happy at all with the access hours at this facility. Just rented two units and more than likely won't be staying very long due to the access hours. I went to my unit 24 hours after signing the paperwork and there was a little green lock on my unit. Mean while I have a truck full off stuff to put in my unit, it's getting dark and I have to deal with a lock on my unit the first day I signed the contract. Not cool, not convenient. Good thing I'm a contractor and had the tools to remove what shouldn't have been there in the first place. Let me know why that lock was put on there please. On busy weekends, it would be useful to have more people working. I was there on a Saturday, and there was a long line and only 3 employees at the entire facility. I put my belongings in storage because I had no room in my temporary residence. When I went to pick up my belongings on the day I was moving to my permanent residence, many of my boxes had gotten wet and there was evidence of rodent droppings as well as insects inside boxes that had gotten wet. I had to come back three times to go through and salvage what I could, transfer to other boxes, spray for insects to ensure I did not transfer to my new home. I ended up throwing out four large trash bags of my things that were in questionable condition. To ensure I was not bringing insects into my new home, I had to place the boxes I did keep and transfer to new boxes, in my garage and use an insect fogger 3 different times until there was no sign of insects. Excellent, my experience with Uhaul was amazing from start to finish. I rented a truck online in Austin TX and picked it up in Boca Raton FL, this was all during the Covid-19 Hoax and let me tell you...they were amazing. When I went in to pick up the truck they let me upgrade the size of truck-trailer for free and they gave me and extra 4 days for FREE!!! on top of that they also gave me 30 days storage at their Uhaul Self Storage facility in North Austin. Really nice people with amazing customer service. WELL DONE and Kudos to the organization. I appreciate you all. They were extremely nice to me, they even upgraded my trailer to a bigger one, gave me a couple extra days to get back to Texas and even gave me one month free storage. Amazing Customer Service. The best part of the experience was the trailer itself, it hitched on the back of my truck and was smooth sailing the whole trip from Florida thru major storms along the way.
