I chose to take the truck through the app so I wouldn't have to wait in line but when I got there I was informed that I would still have to wait in line and it took almost an hour. Bad service. I made the reservation through the website to pick it up at the nearest place and return it near the new address and on the website was guaranteed that they would have the truck there, but two days before they called me informing me that I would have to take the truck at another location and return the truck there as well. that was really bad for me. I tried calling but the attendants were very harsh and didn't give me any better option than that as if it was my fault. If it's up to me I'll never go to Uhaul again and neither will anyone I know.ANDRE A.

The lineup was too long and the problem is strictly with your reservation services. My other truck at a different location was stolen so I was redirected here, but it was a very lengthy time to get my truck at the line up where everyone was upset and I had ordered mobile pick up anyway, so I didn't expect to get charged extra to drive further to this further location than my original one and wait half an hour in line stressed if I will even get a truck.daniel S.
It took forever to see an employee when I dropped off the truck. I decided to check it back in online because I was tired of waiting. I would have rather worked with a person. Only when I was taking the last photo did I see an employee and by then I was done.Sandi W.
Apparently your phone system was not working. After being told that i cant rent a trailer unless I give a contact of someone who knows me, every number I gave couldn't be dialed by your system whilst I called each number right there and spoke to my contact. I even showed that it was indeed the same number I dialed whilst your system kept getting the message that the number was out of service or it kept ringing whilst my contacts phone wasn't receiving the call from your system. This caused a major delay in my getting the equipment on time and it was very frustrating! I have rented Uhauls from other locations before, bigger and more expensive trailers across provinces, and never needed to give another contact info. Thie was a really bad experience. I did end up getting the equipment but it was not pleasant as other locations Ive rented from.Sultana L.

Not a problem with the Rexdale location, it was perfect. BUT it was not the the location I chose to drop the trailer off at. I have a summary of my purchase and it clearly indicated a location at 1272 Queensway in Etobicoke. Upon arrival, a contract that was sent yesterday changed locations, but I didn't realize it until arrival, as I'd read the contract that I'd printed 1 day prior. I was then sent to the Rexdale location, it was 40 minutes of added journey, as I had chosen the Etobicoke location because I had business across the street.Ryan W.

Since I arrived to Toronto from Ottawa with the U-Haul truck, I called Rexdale location and asked if I could park the truck there overnight as I am moving in the next morning (Monday) into a storage unit as I couldn't get movers during Sunday through U-Haul; they were very accommodating. I arrived and the staff were so friendly, she walked me to the storage and assisted me with the access. Those reviews on Google are so harsh and don't do justice to the staff at this location. My issue was not with this location, But rather the fact that when we went to pick up our vehicle at a remote location there were no vehicles there and nobody at that location. Moving is stressful enough to add 2 1/2 hours extra to find a van at a different location to start the process. What made it worse is I found that anybody we spoke to was rather concerned and didn't even apologize for a major inconvenience.vernon F.
The TPMS on the truck was not working. When the concern was brought up to staff, it was dismissed. There were also loud noises coming from the truck which made me uncomfortable about the state of the truck. The staff was also not pleasant to work with at this location. The location needs to have proper lock boxes for the 24/7 share so people don't end up like me, getting there doing my check in, get the key out of the back of the truck and it turned out that the key belonged to another vechile. So then they gave me the vechile I had the key for. I returned it and then got a rude call later about returning when the location didn't even read the dispatch notes nor communicate to one another as I explained the issue to the uhaul employee outside doing the checks and advised me he'd check it in and I was good to go since. I don't necessarily believe it's a Uhaul overall but the location not fully understanding how 24/7 share works - if the case is because i booked the vechile after the location is closed then they should not be doing 24/7 share. The best solution would to have lock boxes in a safe and well lit location and to not leave keys in the back of a truck for another vechile.JILLJOY B.

I misunderstood the different types of dollies and rather than fixing my order and giving me what I needed they told me the kind of dolly that I needed was in the truck tagged in and if removed (tag broken) then it would just be added to the bill. But there was no dolly. So I paid for what I didn't need and didn't get what I needed. When I called later after realizing that there was no dolly tagged in they basically told me that it's not their fault I don't know what the difference between each dolly is and that I should have checked the truck firstâ€¦ what wait? Probably one of the worst experiences i ever had. U-Haul didn't Match the reservations request with pick up and drop off location. The initial location was 5min away the the day before I found out the pick up location was 35 min away(35km) Then the drop off location was another 1 hours away 50km from my final destination and I was responsible for. You lost my reservation and I had to make a new one the night before pick up. Then I was told I would have to pick up my trailer an hour away, which fortunately was resolved. Then when I returned the trailer to the location I haul emailed me to return it to, I received a bill for not returning it to the right location. It said I returned it in a different state, which is incorrect. I waited close to an hour to speak to someone on the ihaul 800 number only to be told that she could not give me a credit for the mistake. Went back to the drop off location to get proof and he could not access my contract. I had to take a video. I will never use uhaul again.David S.

Honour your reservations for a start. After trying to book a 12' trailer in Milton, I could only book one on your Main St. location in Brampton. The day before I was to pick up the trailer I was advised via email that I now had to pick up the trailer at your Rexdale location that was way out of my way (I live at Winston Churchill and Derry in Mississauga). Undaunted I arrived at you Rexdale location had to endure a â€œbad attitudeâ€ from the woman behind the counter who ultimately refused to serve me as I wouldn't tolerate her unhelpful behaviour and ended up being served by an older women who was much more helpful with a much better demeanour. After wasting almost an hour I was finally hooked up an on my way. I have dealt with U-Haul many times over the years and have never been subjected to this kind of treatment, but I guess that's what you get from a company with a monopoly and very little in the way of customer service. Your app online doesn't even work correctly. I'm extremely disappointed in your service! Your customer service and attitude needs an overhaul!Mike R.

I reserved a storage unit which they gave to a another customer. I was offered a bigger unit with no payment for the first month. When I went back to the unit there was a lock for bib payment after I was told I wouldn't have to pay for the first month. When it was time to move to a smaller unit after the first free month, they didn't know how to process the payment and another lock was put on my unit for non payment. For a starter head office told me over the phone when I reserved the unit that it was going to be $1 for the first month since I was renting a moving truck with them which to i already had reserved BUT when I picked up the truck for the 2 days to complete the move went back to get the unit and needles to say I was charged a full amount on the storage $289+tax i was told that the $1 fee only applies to those who are coming from other town I was also charged extra $60 for being 1 hour late returning the truck when I wasn't even past my 48hrs on the rental of the truck also I was charged on my mastercard before I even picked up the truck when I specifically Buy customer service then I could use other methods of payment. I've moved into two other self-storage facilities in GTA recently. U-Haul on Rexdale was the best by far. I'm a female. I could not lift the door on the locker in one facility any more than 2 and 1/2 feet. It was hard getting in and out. I vacated my items without even asking for a refund. The other facility didn't bother to clean out the locker before renting. I ended up spending a day purchasing a small broom, and sweeping the entire locker ... I am not comfortable with the locker without having washed the floor, so I keep a box of sanitary wipes in the locker. The security at U-Haul is excellent because access hours are limited, and there appears to be a number of people always around. It is very very very clean and apparently, the lockers are kept in good repair. Furthermore, the staff are very considerate and friendly. The individual who introduced me to the locker initially, took the time to be very explicit and clear in her instructions. If U-Haul on Rexdale, had a locker large enough, I would definitely be staying despite this location being quite a distance from my home in North York.Karen P. | Expérience générale

My only comment is a person blocked direct entrance to the "unloading area". I am a senior citizen and found it difficult to unload my belongings. He didn't move his vehicle to make our job easier. Only one of the 3 staff members working behind the desk knew what they were doing. She had to help the 2 others with everything. 3 people were in line in front of me and I was next it took 25 minutes for me to get to the check out desk and another 20 mins to get the keys to my storage unit. The staff is very slow and is unable multi task. This location is convenient however I would not recommend others this time. I did appreciate the staff member resetting my swipe card when it was not done done properly the first time and bringing out a rodent trap out to me at the storage unit. Staff slowly tried to fix them and an hour later said they were "tired of this"...all the while not communicating with us. Then offered a trailer at a facility at least a half hour out of our way.
