The location in SC was amazing. Staff was friendly and helpful. We rented 36 blankets and they helped us load them up and everything. However, the location on Airline Blvd in Portsmouth, VA was the complete opposite. I walked in and asked for help since I had so many blankets. They told me to use the appliance dolly to load them and then bring them in the store. Also not informing me that one side of the store has a ramp while the other has stairs. I loaded them all on this dolly, wheeled it around to the door and fought to get them up the stairs and through the door. All while two employees just watched. No help was offered. I won’t be heading back to that location anytime soon.

Never received a call back for my complaint Uhaul Reference id: 2369573. Absolutely ridiculous. They changed locations on us and because of the additional driving we weren’t even able to use the truck so we just wasted 40 bucks.

Everything was perfect. Equipment was nice and maintained well. The biggest asset to this location is Latoya and Lamarcus. Both employees were friendly, helpful and I would recommend anyone to to business with them.

Wasn’t told accurate information from get go far as using of equipment on truck. I work in sales and giving customers A-Z about the product to build a rapport with the customer to make sure they come back to spend money. Also better need to do better with the card services far as taking the money from credit or debit card after services been returned not hold up funds on someone’s card for days. I will not be using uhaul ever again just because of more than one situation with this weekend. Made my moving situation a terrible experience when it was suppose to be exciting.

This location wasn’t correct within the uhaul after hours mobile access site. Please correct the address from the no longer used sparkleberry location to include accurate and current address. I had a terrible time trying to drop off the equipment at the previously designated location, and would’ve been free from my drop off obligations 30+ mins sooner had the proper address been included in my notification email and site. I had to google the uhaul on that road to find out I was a few miles from the actual location.

Better customer service. Do not tell the customer one thing and don’t follow through. Then contacted customer service with the issue and haven’t heard from anyone. I won’t be using UHaul again. Every time I use this company I always have issues

This location is the only U-Haul location that I’ve ever rented a vehicle or leased a storage unit from; however, I’ve rented a vehicle on a few occasion. The customer service from Solomon and Marcus is always exceptional. I look forward to receiving great customer service from those two gentlemen every visit. During my last visit, I returned my rental van to a young lady, who I had never encountered before. Assuming that all customer service from this location would be amazing, I was sadly mistaken... After the young lady behind the counter got off of the phone, she very rudely asked if I was returning the van that I had. I replied, “yes.” She then, quickly and just as rudely said, “Give me the key!” After she went outside to check the van, she came back inside and said, “Your total is two hundred [and some odd dollars]. Do you want to charge it to the card on file?” In return I replied, “Excuse me, did you say $200?” I asked because I wasn’t sure that I heard her correctly since I only had a one day rental with 10 miles used. The young lady then very rudely said, “Yes, $200. I know you have damage coverage, but you damaged the vehicle so you have to pay.” She was adamant that I owed over two hundred dollars for the damages to the side of the van. She exclaimed that if the vehicle was damaged prior, I should have taken pictures prior to leaving the premises. Though I attempted to explain to her that the vehicle was in fact damaged before I rented it and that I did take pictures of the damage and submitted the pictures online before I left the premises with the van, she was still rudely adamant that I damage the vehicle. She quickly exclaimed, “Well show me the pictures in your phone that you took then before you left, and I’m going to check your contract [too] to see what time it was” (either completed or written... something to that effect.) I just said, “Ok. I think everything is in my phone.” I went to my car and returned with my phone in an attempt to provide verification. As I’m looking in my phone, she was also looking in the system to verify my contract. In no time, my contract must have pulled up and verification could be seen that the damages were previously annotated at no fault of mine. The young lady then replied, “I found everything in the system and your contract time verified everything.” At that point, I’m shaking my head [not visibly] and was completely confused as to WHY the situation even took place. Nonetheless, I completed the rental return and the young lady did nonchalantly apologize “about that”; however, I’m thinking to myself, why take a customer through the extremes of accusing them of something that you haven’t even verified. I wasn’t upset when I left U-Haul. The young lady expressed, “Have a good day” as I was leaving the counter to walk out the establishment. In return I bid her the same, but I couldn’t help but to be taken aback. So many things crossed my mind during that encounter: 1. Did the compa

When I arrived at 830am Saturday morning, there was only one guy working and help didn't arrive until 9am. Your one guy spent that whole time helping one customer (not a knock on him because there were issues and he was actually trying to multitask with the next customer). The site was not adequately staffed for the morning rush!

They absolutely made my life hell when it came to trying to track my U-box. I called three days prior to schedule the drop off of my box at my new home and was left on the phone for over two hours the first day. I called again, the next day and they couldn't locate my box. I got my box three days late and it caused me issues with my professional life at work and with the school. I was extremely disappointed in the company in not giving me a discount after everything that I had gone through, especially since I had planned it ahead of time.

Maybe add another counter person on. I had to wait for the one person who was working to finish with another 2 customers before he could get to me. Which took some time. Otherwise when he got to me it was quick since I did everything online before coming in.

Staff art thre Sparkleberry Store were slow at locating my reservation and were repetitive in explaining instructions. All of this was only compounded by the fact that the e-mail confirmation sent me top the wrong location for pick up. However the gentleman at the Two Notch store, near Decker Blvd, was extremely helpful and even checked a closer store so that I wouldn't have to drive as far.

I called four (4) times to get them to pickup empty U-Box I answered NO to questions because I did not visit the facility, You need to update your answer/question with a "Did not visit."

The staff was all over the place we wait over half hour to get our storage container. No one knew how to handle the transaction. It was ridiculous . I would not recommend this place. Wrong wrong !!

I rate this only average because my overall experience with uhaul moving was horrible. The sparkleberry office was great, the customer service rep that sold me on two boxes when I needed 3 is BAD!!!!

I called this location three times to inquire about my ubox delivery. Nobody ever returned my call. I ended up driving there to speak to someone in person.

I did not use the local facilities here but the CDL driver who dropped off my u-pods and pick them was awesome. She was knowledgeable and can really maneuver and drive the heck out that form lift.

Boxes weren't picked up on time which led them to charging me for another month. Took many different calls and 5 days to get a refund and I had the uboxes blocking my driveway for an additional 5 days

The facility was fine. Our U-Box however, arrived destroyed. We are still awaiting a response from U-haul. Would not recommend at this point.
