Ms Carpitcher was super friendly, willing to put up with me changing my mind on unit size…AFTER she had made the contract and I signed all the pages. So she patiently did it all again. She had 2 trucks that were going out soon, she warmed them up for the people who rented them. (It was VERY cold). She seems to go way above and beyond for her customers. I truly hope Uhaul realizes the asset they have in this manager.

I am very upset with uhaul, I had a truck reserved for 1-02-22, at the Newcastle location, when I went to pick up the truck, it was not there. Took over 45 minutes to get someone on the phone. No one called to tell me that it wasn't gonna be there. So had movers just sitting and waiting, paid by the hour. Then had to go farther away just to get a truck. You charged me the extra mileage, didn't care, you just cost me alot of extra money cause someone didn't see fit to call me. Which wasn't my fault, it was uhaul and I'm very passed about it. I wouldn't recommend you ever again. You need to fix the problem. I'm out not just the extra mileage, but had to pay the movers to just set. You owe me for the time and extra mileage. But you charged me over 98 when it was said and done. Not a happy camper with you. I want a refund.

We reserved a 10x15 foot storage unit through uHaul's website last week and were greatly disappointed upon arrival. The storage unit access was through a door smaller than the average front door of a house. This could be expected if it was a smaller unit, but a larger unit would by default have a large garage style entrance. There should be a disclaimer noting this on the website, because we could not fit our couches or other large furniture. Due to the door issue, we had to find another storage facility last minute and it was a terrible inconvenience.

The frond shield mirror was missing, the side mirror was cracked, and it was so loud inside truck you could not talk to each other or have a conversation on cell phone. I returned it with more gas then what was asked and no discount and returned it in fewer days then I rented it for and no discount all all.

It was busy and there was only one staff. I had a 4pm reservation and didn't make it out of there until 5pm. I needed a dolly, and was told that one was in the truck. There were none in the trucks. If I wouldn't have checked, I would have been screwed. This happened with two different trucks.

I requested a 5x9 utility trailer with the front bump out for a motorcycle tire to fit in because I was hauling a new motorcycle. The exact model I needed was there but they gave me a regular flat front trailer instead because the other one "wasn't in the system". If I weren't in a hurry, I would've gone elsewhere.

I needed to rent a pickup truck for a few weeks and was told by the U-Haul employee that weekly and monthly rates were not available. I saw a sign on the wall giving a break down of the daily,weekly,and monthly rates and mention it to him and he said they needed to take it down because they only did daily rates. When I returned the truck a different employee told me, after the payment was made ,that I should have gone with the monthly rate. I told him what the other employee had said and said that it was incorrect and that they offer the weekly and monthly rate and that there was nothing he could do to make it right. There was over a $500 price difference between the daily and monthly rate! I will never use U-haul again. Scamming thieves!!! Everybody stay away from this place!!!

The manager refused to listen to us and actually started a fight with my mom. She has no customer service skills. I was over charged approximately 60 miles because they didn't check the milage when we dropped it off more than 12 hours early. I will never use this service again

I don't know about the next customer, but assigning a truck that is going one way that does not have cruse control is not right! The truck you assigned me was not comfortable and it was extremely noisy in the cab. Not a good experience at all.

Very quick! The truck was ready to go, when I got there. The attendant was friendly and didn't waste any time getting me safely on my way. Same attendant checked-in my equipment and I had the same experience w/the return.

It's in a very bad part of town and the storage units have a chicken wire roof so this is not a secure location if someone were to break in. On top of that there was a rat trap in my unit. Also it is a 2 story storage building with no elevators to cart heavy items to the top floor.

Inform them how the trailer will sound when stopping or starting forward and the movement of the hitch on the trailer. The thumping/clunking of the trailer was definitely disconcerting!

I rented a motorcycle trailer that was nothing like was shown online. It was small and not in very good shape. When I loaded the motorcycle it vibrated my hole truck the whole way back for over 4 hours.

I set up to get the truck picked up at 7pm and I got to the location at 6:50 to pick up the truck but it was closed early. So I then had to wait more than an hour to get help. And when I tried to drop off the truck the app wouldnt work and I got there at 9 and I was waiting until almost 10:30 on hold until the call dropped. Worst experience I have ever had. A girl named Sherrie on customer care had the worst customer service ever. She didn't even want to notate the experience that I had. The staff definitely needs to be retrained in customer service.

Absolutely nothing to improve on. My husband and myself were moving for 3 straight days, hardly any rest, and when my husband locked his keys, plus the u-haul key in the back of the truck, I immediately called U-haul. Jasmine came and unlocked the lock. I will add that my husband never does things like that. He's just very careful, but we were both very tired. So a big shout out to her for coming to the rescue. Thank you so very much Jasmine !!

The representatives rushed me through my process the truck somebody used armor All on the floorboards and the pedals the truck smelled like a cat inside had sprayed the vehicle leaked oil everywhere was low on coolant overheated the whole trip all the way here the tires are unsafe could not get over 65 miles an hour the truck should have been disabled and taken out of service and that truck should never been sent one way I've never had any problems like I have with this U-Haul trip out of all the years I've used them I used to work for a company of two companies that represented U-Haul and they both never let anything like that on the road my reservation was messed up I was throwing a day and a half behind schedule online that's why I had to stay overnight and places cuz your equipment did not have for adequate lights they did not work on the truck nor on the new trailer I was towing

My reservation was moved at the last minute due to availability of equipment. The pick up truck I rented wasn't clean and previous rental had smoked in the truck. The smell remained. The staff at the second location was very helpful.

The crew here were friendly and professional. I was very impressed with their capabilities to help me with apparent ease. Uhaul's obstructive online and ineffective call/text/email systems transferred my reservation without notifying me - the location I requested informed me of the change when I arrived, on time, on site. In the end I'm super glad the 29th street crew were able to get everything sorted out for me.

The facility was very good with good customer service (Bob, manager, was outstanding). Your sales personnel (the "home office"), I give a poor to worst than poor. It is as if they do not talk to the facilities. I.E. I made an appointment to have a trailer hitch installed (after I received a call from Bob that everything was in). As soon as I got off the phone, I received a text message from UHaul that the equipment was not available. I.E. I asked the sales person if I could wait for the vehicle completion. She said it would only take 1 1/2 hours. I called Bob to question him about the text message I received from UHaul. I also mentioned that I would wait for the vehicle. He that it would probably take 3-4 hours to complete. Thank goodness I called. I will not trust your sales personnel!

I was ready to pick up the truck at my requested time. However, the application process required significantly more steps upon my arrival, which delayed my schedule. I would have happily done more ahead of time to reduce the time spent at the actual location, using the mobile pickup. I feel the process can be streamlined or optimized better.
