FERNANDO GI had set my pickup location for power and light downtown and last minute they changed it to State avenue which was inconvenient for me.
MICHAEL KThis location was just fine - it was only after a very long ordeal that we ended up here as they had the necessary truck that we needed. We had a reservation for 3+ mos. to pick up in Manhattan, KS and our reservation was cancelled, and we weren't even notified. So, by a complete fluke by calling Manhattan to ask a general question found out they cancelled our reservation. Evidently this was the 5 or 6th reservation cancelled that week. Quite frustrating - on with U-Haul for at least an hour to find a truck. While they did help make some concessions due to their screw up it was a huge inconvenience, and we had much more driving than had planned.

FRANCISCO SThe service was not the best experience. I purchased a dolly with a 10ft vehicle. I was never provided a dolly. I had to return to the location after already unloading furniture to move. Upon my return I greeted the rep and informed him of my frustration having to return to pick up a dolly. He was rude and informed me he would've just removed the dolly fee. Well he reviewed the vehicle's mileage, returned to me explaining extra cost with mileage. I'm pretty sure extra mileage was used when I had to return to the location to pick up a dolly. He reported only taking $7 off for the dolly. I was disappointed in the service.

CHRISTOPHER GFirst, UHall needs to educate their customer service number. The male individual I talked to said I had to go to two different locations. The fist one was to pick up the truck then the secondly was to pick up the car port. This was an extra 35 miles total from where my car was located. When I went to the second location, they had both the 15 foot truck and the car port. Now I am responsible for the extra milage because YOUR customer service agent was not trained properly. The first location (not the one on State St) , the one on Main Street, the customer service needed more training I was there for almost 1 hour waiting on the lady to get my truck, even though most of my information was on the screen from when I reserved the vehicle.WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE WITH UHALL!! Lots to do better!!

David RThe staff were not friendly to me and openly laughing at/making fun of a customer who was having trouble with their trailer hookups. In addition, the price quoted online was about half of what they charged me--they said it was a "deposit" but the dropoff location in another state said that wasn't true and they fortunately corrected it. Do not go here. Go to the U-Haul Dealer location at 12902 Shawnee Mission Pkwy, Shawnee, KS 66216 for WAY better service from Clayton.

Carl SGouge pricing for milage on the weekends. Tow haul mode switch didn't work. Putting driver and passenger at risk in the rain, especially when empty. Which we had for an hour. Per your own warning decal on the dash
mark bI am in KCMO and originally my reservation was on the Missouri side and then a day later it switched to this location in Kansas. So I was charged for the extra miles to drive to Kansas and back in the weekend rate. Very disappointed with U-Haul. Also when I was about to return it I saw a roach joint in the middle console. I was unable to get to it with my fingers. Good thing I didn't get pulled over by the police

Ranadous JAfter being told that I could rent the same truck for another day to just call or visit the location. Only to be let down and come out of pocket for more than I expected to pay for another day/ truck and the rental truck didn't come with any dolly. For the price I had to pay.
Eric MWe rented moving pads with a trailer and never got them. When returning the trailer, the general manager greeted us and told him about it. His response was that he could refund us the money, but they would charge us for an adapter that we had no idea they attached to the trailer w/o charging. Allegedly. We moved and didn't have the pads we needed, even tho we paid for it. Manager did and said nothing to acknowledge their mistake.
Sofia JI would like to give your employees a 10/10. When I went to reserve the u-haul a gentleman helped me and was very nice. On the day I picked up the u-haul a young lady that helped me (name tag read Alyna) was very polite and professional. It was an overall great experience.

Russell BYour rules are dumb I paid for a month of rent was only there for 9 days this month and no refund. To me that is stealing. And I spent good money there getting a truck bought two furniture dollies but yet no refund Do better. I could use that money

HERBERT PTrailer was not clean at pickup so I had to clean it prior to use. Overall, quick time to get in and out despite a last minute reservation and the trailer itself was in great condition. Would use this location again, just prefer the equipment be clean.

The female staff member was rude and aggressive when corrected. I would not recommend this facility. The units are poorly designed and in a horrible area, no elevator, no ramp, just stairs. EXTREMELY overpriced and dirty.

To either pay more a month for a larger available unit or choose the non climate control unit. He said he could not give the larger unit for same prize. I was paying professional movers by the hour. It took over 30 minutes to get assigned a new unit. This whole process had me in tears and feeling completely helpless as I had no recourse although I did everything right.

One set of doors to enter the main building was never open, I always had to walk around to the other side and then hunt someone down to help me if I needed anything. The site was secure, which is great considering the area it is in. I do wish each unit had a light in it, but that's probably not feasible. Overall it was a good experience!

I received an email with a charge for the unit cleaning. I don't mind being charged, but he did not tell me there would be a charge, also I was charged for the following month even after I cleaned out the unit. I'm waiting for someone to contact me to provide a refund.

I was treated as a customer number, they were more worried about the other people in line than me. I moved from IL to MO. Though having storage in KS isn't ideal, the customer service was outstanding! Clean facility too.

CARL W | Premières impressionsI think we messed up the convenience of the online check-in process by seeking guidance from the staff instead of attempting to just access the facility on our own. Rather than just walking us through the info we received online, it was as if they started the check-in process all over but did not tell us they changed our access info, etc and they charged us for another lock but we found one in the unit when we got to the unit. Small inconveniences of having to make multiple trips back to the office to figure out why we couldn't get in. In the end it all worked out fine, just not the most helpful (knowledgeable??) staff. Nice facility, less impressed with the staff. Just seemed to go through the motions rather than really listen to customer and assist appropriately. Even inquired about dropping our rental truck there instead of returning to STL area but was basically discouraged from doing so for reasons that felt more like because the staff didn't want to deal with it, than for legitimate reasons. This may be an inaccurate impression, so I don't want to be too negative about our experience with staff. Overall I would recommend the facility to others.

The draw back was that our unit was located inside the store area and we could not access it after 7. When we moved out of unit it became very apparent that no big extermination had been done. We paid for a climate control area which I assumed would mean minimal bug inhabitation but I was wrong! Ants and beetles covered the floor under our things. Thankfully beds were up high and showed no sign of bugs.

Very difficult when taking items to locker and to car. Almost fell a couple times. Need ramps or life to get upstairs when you are carrying items.
