I would not recommend this location. My son and girlfriend went to rent the uhaul so we could move a piano. The lady on Sunday was very rude, short and arrogant with them. She ask for miliage and they didnt know so she became very rude with them. I understand in this economy we all HAVE to have jobs but you dont have to be a butt with a paying customer. I went yesterday to return the vehicle. I saw the sign that say stay in equipment someone will come and help. That was not the case I sat there for a few minutes, then walked inside where a man came in from his smoke break (I know because he was sitting where I could see him) and a lady was standing behind the counter. Neither were apologetic, just keep doing what they wanted. She was also very short with me, and just said â€œyou will receive an email in about 15 minsâ€. Thats was it, no thank you for renting at Uhaul, have a great day, NOTHING. I will NOT be recommending this location EVER, and I would prefer to ask alot of people to help me move then to rent a Uhaul again. There was a funky smell in the Uhaul, it was so bad I had to keep the windows rolled down.cassie S.
Tell every customer what to expect in a brief communication about the return process. Allow time to discover if the client knows or has had previous rental experience? Never assumed that the driver licenses means a person can operate the larger size equipment.Laura M.
The Curt 11276 should be installable without removing the underside apron. It's a simple, straightforward install. It's literally only 4 bolts, all 4 of which are accessible through ports on the apron. Here is your own installation video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IkGnRe3wi0 The installer at this location though was apparently unable to do this, so he removed the apron and threw it in the trunk and that was good enough for him. If he had difficulty, he should have confirmed with a source above him, but apparently no adults are present at this facility.Jen-Hung K.

I arranged for a Car Transport trailer for a 7am pickup on a sunday. Called up Uhaul to get clarity as my pickup was before the location opened and they advised to simply do the afterhours pickup when i get to the location. I found the whole online process for afterhours pickup on the car transport trailer a big debacle and i'm pretty tech savvy so i can only imagine the disaster for a person who is not tech savvy with a smartphone. After 15 minutes of trying to figure out the mess of the uhaul web portal and the lack of maturity & user friendliness on software, I picked up the car transport at 7am and went about my way as i had a valid reservation with a credit card on file. Around 9am the Uhaul location opened up and proceeded to call my wife saying that the equipment was not checked out and i could be charged with theft of equipment from uhaul, we are still unsure how they have my wifes phone number. They proceeded to tell her that i am on camera in a accusatory manner picking up the equipment and etc. Rightfully so the time of the pickup and vehicle used to do the pickup was exactly as in my reservation. So my wife went back and forth with the customer service rep and indicated i had a 7am reservation and the customer service rep indicated i should have waited until 9am when they are open to pick up the equipment. So the time of my reservation is completely useless and we must do what uhaul tells us even though the web portal confirmed a 7am reservation at a specific location and adivsed to use afterhours pickup. What a big disconnect and poor customer service with uhaul's online afterhours checkout and the physical customer service rep at the location. Bear in mind my credit card, drivers license was all on file when i made the reservation. This is not my first time either with Uhaul renting a car transport. I've rented equipment with uhaul before and customer service has been great but this rental was a complete disaster. Uhaul called my mobile phone several times & the phone number came up as spam so i did not answer it. They never ever once left a voicemail message explaining the situation. What poor customer service. Lesson learned here is you must deal with a human being at all times or you can quickly get accused of theft even though you have a valid reservation.Anil S.

Customer service at this location is great, however the U-Haul truck that we rented had some kind oil all over the cargo area from the previous renters. We had to lay cardboard down to keep our belongings from touching the oil.Tom T.

Facility is clean and well lit. Staff needs more customer service training. They have never been very friendly or welcoming. The day I moved out was another example of poor customer service. The restroom door was not opening. I stopped an employee to let him know and his demeanor was very dismissive as he stated I'll look at it in a few minutes. An hour later after loading our truck, no one had come to look at the door. When I went into the office to let them know the unit was empty and to close out my storage unit, I mentioned the bathroom door again and was told , again very dismissively, there's bother we can do, except make a work order.Benjamin S. | Expérience générale

I made my reservation on line and called ahead of time to make sure I had everything ready. The young lady who checked my reservation found that they had me for a one way! Jose did the installation. Lights to trailer never worked properly. Had to replace left light assembly shortly after installation due to water leakage at $500. Found he stripped screw holding light assembly in (seriously folks). Found breakage of tabs on both left and right plastic protectors. Wire to battery always hung down below vehicle. Took it in to have wire tightened up. Still fell below vehicle. I don't believe the whole thing was ever installed correctly. Took it to another U-Haul to have wiring completely redone. See review on that one. Not good either. Would never ever recommend U-Haul install wiring harness.Fred W.

Absolutely god awful customer service. I rent uhauls all the time and this location literally charged me every fee possible for a tiny bit of dirt and said I had less gas than before I left which didn't add up. When I was trying to get the truck in the morning the staff all seemed very out of it and were unhelpful in every aspect. Terrible location. I'd rather pay for more mileage to avoid EVER using this location ever againHarrison B.
The Milage was off a mile and the contract had the gas at Full but it was not full. I did however brought it back full as stated in my contract but I did not get credit for returning it full. I only got a 1 mile refund after spending $25 to fill it up and I only went 58 miles. Not Happy!Jennifer M.

Got redirected here from a location in Manor, TX that no longer exists (no trucks there, for lease sign, dead phone number) and was 20 minutes further away. After travelling there, we were then informed we would have to bring the vehicle all the way back to this location. So we ended up spending a good chunk of the day not only trying to find a truck, but then having to return the vehicle from 45 minutes away. While it is not this location's fault, overall the experience was pretty crappy.Jason B.

My primary concern is that the Pflugerville warehouse for holding U-Boxes filled with people's belongings is not climate controlled. In Texas, during the Summer. The U-Box concept is great. The U-Haul employees I worked with in person were great. But the corporate side--customer service, website, scheduling, ordering, notifications, etc.--was pretty poor.Danny C.

I returned the truck to the return section that states stay with your vehicle someone will be with you shortly. I waited 10 mins then went to the garage area and asked if anyone was going to help me and they said I had to go in to check out. Then asked if I had the key and I said no the sign says keep the key with the vehicle. I walk in the door and a girl looks up from her phone and sees the truck in the monitor and say you are good to go. I guess the signs and not what you should follow.DANIEL C.

When making the reservation, the manager decided that I didn't really need to rent the truck for the full time requested. It was not an issue of availability, because I called and extended the additional day I needed with no problem. This created extra steps for me to take so that I could be a paying customer for another day. This location acts like they are doing you a favor by renting to you at all. Not customer oriented service at all. The people behind the counter when I turned the truck in were very courteous and friendly.ADAM D.

When I came to pick up the truck there were several employees standing around, it wasn't busy. They didn't bother to pull the truck up for me and I had to walk around the entire building and search the truck numbers until I found it. Additionally, they didn't put the furniture pads in the truck initially, so I had to drive it around to load those in. Comes across lazy.Richard A.

This location makes plenty of money simply based on location and user needs, however, they are consistently looking to overcharge and cheat clients. This is my 3rd issue. First, they billed me for 3 gallons of gas even though I put the gas back to the level of the rental AND had the pictures to prove it. I was refunded after making a complaint. Secondly, they refused to alter the price of a rental that was reserved for cross country but due to car trouble, the rented vehicle was returned much closer to the rental location. U-haul eventually refunded me the difference. Now, I am being billed for additional fees for tolls, however, the fees they are requesting through Collections are $11 in administration fees charged on every single toll on the same day and trip that was billed to U-haul on a single bill. U-haul wasn't billed a $1 fee in addition to every toll, yet U-haul is charging me a fee.on every single toll. The total in $1 administrative fees is nearly double the actual toll charges. Very disappointing experience. I reserved well in advance a 2 handcarts and appliance dolly only to be told they have been all rented out even though i paid in advance and reserved them. I was also told the truck was 1/4 tank full. Shouldnt it be full? It was on E displaying 6 miles left. I took pics and plan to post on yelp. I would hate for someone else to experience the setbacks we did when we were planning to avoid them. The trailer itself worked but was kinda raggedy. Today was just a more complicated and stressful process than it needed to be. Great place for rats and mice to live. Bathroom privileges provided, courtesy of Uhaul Steeds. Can only hope we don't get a fatal disease. I rented a 5x15 unit but the door to the unit was probably 2 feet wide. You couldn't even fit a couch through that door. If you rent a 5 foot unit you expect it to be 5 feet wide to get into it. The entrance was ridiculously narrow. Also it was very unclear how we retrieved the key to lock the unit. I got there the day I said I would but there was a zip tie on the door. I never received Instructions on how to open it or how to get the key. When leaving we had no idea how to get out since the gate it also closed from the outside. I had to get out of the car and go open the gate from the outside then drive through. We canceled our rental the next day and got a refund. I was expecting first month free because I rented a uhaul trailer but the assistant said I find the qualify because I wasn't returning the trailer there. I asked if I could return it there and she said no because they weren't accepting trailers. She shrugged her shoulders and said it's hit and miss. Note: I had rented a unit the prior weekend and received the one month discount even though I didn't return the trailer there.M M. | Online Move In
They did not make sure the unit was ready to be rented. The wire protection cover was on the floor the light bulb was broken off in the fixture exposing the inside of the bulb. When I asked to have it replaced before moving my belongings into the unit I was told that there was no one to do it. They did not offer to give me a different unit that didn't have this issue. I had scheduled moving help by the hour with U-Haul and had move into the unit that day at that time. I received an email asking me to rate the storage facility that evening and then I received a text message to rate the facility. I thought I would call the manager who's name was on the e-mail and text message to see what he do about the situation before I wrote the review/rating. I called the next day and spoke to the manager. Instead of apologizing for the situation or trying to correct it. He just said the maintenance crew was only there Monday to Friday till 11am and for me to come at that time to have it fixed. When I told him that half of the unit would have to be unloaded now for it to be fixed he then told me that U-Haul was removing all the lights inside the units and that they no longer felt lighting was necessary. So I could come at the time he told me to have it fixed. But I guess it was my problem about moving my belongings in order for maintenance to so. He claimed no responsibility to the fact that he rented me the unit with this issue and that now it was my problem not his. This is an inside unit not an outside unit that when you open the door you have the daylight to be able to see while in the unit. Very disappointed with the lack of customer service by the unit having this issue and not rental ready and no customer service at the time of move in or after the move in to take care of it. When I was getting the storage unit, your website said that if we were renting equipment that we would get a month free. I input the reservation number for the trailer that my husband made for the trailer and it said it was invalid. He did rent the trailer. When he asked your employee about it in the store when renting the trailer, she replied with "I've literally never heard of that, we don't have any discounts, your rent is 89,95 a month, do you want it?" Not only was this not what your website told me when I rented it but it was extremely rude. Then when he returned the trailer the employee checking it is came around on a skateboard and said they didn't have a trailer scheduled to come back to which he replied, oh well I don't make enough f*ing money to care, it will be my managers problem. Online rental process was super quick and easy. When I got there to drop off my stuff I popped into the storefront and an employee gave me good, simple directions to help me find my unit. After unloading everything the same employee was very helpful getting me a gate remote to make my upcoming visits easier. There was only one person working when we came in on Saturday morning. While the employee was very friendly and helpful once we were able to engage with her, there was a long line when we first got in, which continue to grow while we were there. She did not address the people in line let us know that she would be with us monetarily. It does seem as though she could've use some additional assistance, or just being more responsive to a line forming. She informed us that our unit should have put a lock in it, but there was no lock. When we went back to let her know this, she was still with another group and there was still a long line, so we gave up. The outdoor drive-up option wasn't available so I got an indoor climate controlled and it was nearly impossible to figure it out. Their simple 1-2-3 process didn't work at all for the indoor facilities. After it took me 20 minutes to find my garages, I set off the alarms because I didn't know I had to check it at a specific box, and since I did it all online, I don't have the handy swipe card that others use to check in and out EVERY TIME I go to load stuff in and out of there.Connie S. | Online Move In

Customer service-Bad Gave away our trailer rental after taking my card to reserve. Did not tell me that I had to be there at a certain time or they would give away. Why use my card to reserve. Was told that I would have a unit with outside accessibility....wrong. Told me that they would charge me a trash fee when I put 3 empty boxes in dumpster. Told me to buy my own lock...only to find out that I was required to use their lock. Not a good way to run a business. My only constructive criticism I have is the inability to contact the staff by phone at this location and lack of follow up to messages left by my or the UHaul rollover call center staff. I understand that Anthony Tompkins works there by himself most of the time. And perhaps that needs to be addressed so customers (past, present, future) can speak with him directly about critical or timely concerns. Or perhaps the main UHaul customer service line could have access to current availability at any of their locations across the USA. the only con was the door to the outside, although we have a bigger unit (10x15x8) the door to the outside of storage building was a standard sized door and made it difficult to bring in our fridge, sofa, washer/dryer. I was paying to for my personal property to be stored and secured. instead the main gate to the storage area and covered parking was always breaking down and open for anyone to enter. not enough security cameras and lighting in storage area but plenty of lighting to protect uhaul equipment parked around office building. I had two thefts from my recreational vehicle totaling $400 dollars and when reported to uhual employees didn't care or make an attempt to assist.
