All went well. The only issues I had, in two rentals one week apart were that the UHaul app would not recognize my reservation. My email and text communications were fine, but the app did not.

Very poor service and after we paid for the truck the store employee called us and accused us of stealing the truck even though we had a receipt showing that we paid for the rental the truck was not clean on the inside or out upon pickup

Get better customer service representatives amd store managers, they should never under any circumstances tell a customer they believe their employee over the customer, I have no reason to lie and was treated unfairly by the store manager and her associate there the lady at the front, she did for someone else what she wouldn't do for me and made me jump thru hoops but not the other lady who didn't have the right paperwork either, the associate that was there let the other lady slide with no paperwork but not me, I was treated very unfairly by this place and the store manager she doesn't care how her customers are treated all she cares about is not being bothered by customers on her day off.. as a manager of a restaurant I WOULD NEVER tell a customer they were wrong and even if know my employee well then I still wouldn't say I know he or she didn't say anything I would address it, there's no reason an employee should be texting her manager and talking sh** about a customer to the manager thru text messages or in person period, they should be professional and act that way and they have intact not! The store manager at summer and her female associate are not professional they act bougie and un professional, I would rather drive across town or to another state just because customer service is way better there. They are actually professional and don't treat customers unfairly.

The customer service via phone contact was a terrible experience. After holding for ten minutes, I found no help with the staff associate. Uhaul changed the pick up time although I had a reservation for a different time weeks in advance. Absolutely no professional. I will seek other rental companies in the future.

I booked this pickup a week in advance. I got a call on the day of my pickup at 7AM informing me that I (the customer) overbooked this location and my truck would not be available for pickup at 8AM. I called the store back (which is actually the 800 number) and was transferred to 3 different agents in which none could help. (Two of which were in Nashville and I am located in Memphis) I then proceed to go to the store and the worker was extremely rude and told me “I just work for uhaul I don't make the rules”. I was never told that my pickup time was changed to 830. The store manager then informed me someone would be bringing the truck back at 815. I stayed at the store until 830 and was then given the keys. No one ever brought this truck back. It was sitting in the parking lot the entire time. The store manager and worker were extremely rude and had the worst attitudes ever. If I could've given zero stars, I would have!

The storage portion of the truck smelled like rotten eggs. Counter staff was rude and disinterested, and made no concessions when the dollies I reserved were unavailable. No one came out when I returned, so had to do self-return.

Customer service was great! Walked in gave my name and they looked up my reservation and got my truck and off I went. Then upon drop off I stood with the gentleman he told me my total and I was on my way with my receipt emailed to me! Great in and out service!

The equipment was dirty and the cabin of my rental truck smells like marijuana. I brought this to the attention of staff and they said it doesn't matter. Worst of all at 6:45 I asked the propane a tenant if he would get me propane and he said they are closed even though they close at seven. It was really unacceptable.

Make sure there is someone available to check in customers when they return equipment. Three trucks checked in while I waited to check in my trailer after informing the desk clerk that I was waiting on the North side of the building. I finally unhooked it myself, placed it in the spot where it was found that AM and went back inside. After a long day of moving furniture, the last bit could have we been better. But the rest of the experience was excellent.

There was some miscommunication between staff on what equipment I was supposed to be receiving, so we had an awkward time figuring that out. I also did not receive my utility dolly, but the staff was able to easily take it off my order with a quick phone call.

Tell customers Don't talk to the personnel while they are installing your vehicle on an auto transport. Ask questions afterward. I asked questions during installation and the car was not totally secured. I didn't know this until the drop off location thanked me for partially unpacking it for them.

The posted hours for Sunday said they were open until 5:00pm. When I arrived at 4:48pm the doors to the office were already locked. We (there were 5 or 6 of us trying to get in) we're told they lock the doors early to allow the cashier to count their money before closing. I think the lobby should be open for the entire posted hours. There was one couple trying to pick up their truck rental and could not do so because they locked the doors early. When I made the reservation I told the customer service person I needed to move a refrigerator. She gave me some options and I ended up renting a 10ft truck for the job. She did not mention there was no ramp on this truck. It seems like they should have mentioned that there was no ramp on this truck and should have suggested a different truck with a ramp to move a large refrigerator. I would not recommend this location unless I added the fact that they close earlier than the posted hours. The passenger side door of the truck we rented would not lock. The cashier we dealt with to pick up our truck was courteous did a good job but did not mention they close early when I picked up my truck that was due back by 5:00pm. I arrived at 4:48pm and I could not return the truck directly. I had to drop the key in the slot by the office door.

The gentleman that checked the equipment out and then back in the next day was courteous and helpful. There was a problem with one of the ramps on the auto-transport trailer which made it very difficult to slide out and then back in. When I mentioned this upon my return, the gentleman said that he would promptly notify the appropriate people.

The truck was clean but had some issues. Make a loud squealing sound (transmission?) when accelerating. Driver door, passenger door and ignition required separate keys.

Requested a 24/7 pickup. While phone customer service has been great, we had a major issue with the location. Assigned pickup time for truck was between 7:30-8:30 PM. Went to store, followed directions, got to lockbox, and the code wouldn't work. Called customer service line and spent 45 min on the phone troubleshooting the lock. No luck. Meanwhile wife in the car with two screaming toddlers who needed to go potty and eat. Left for the night without truck and unable to pack. Came back next morning. Come to find out, keys were never placed in the lock box to begin with! Then the truck had a check engine light on it. Should this not be cleared before a rental?? The gentleman at the counter the next morning was very helpful, swapped the truck and apologized for the situation. I was thankful for that. Rest of the trip was fine. But the delay caused us to delay packing, which delayed us leaving, causing us to leave when a blizzard hit. Had to stop 30 min into the trip to stay at a hotel because the visibility was too hazardous. We likely would've beat the storm and avoided a pricey hotel stay had the key been in the right place as it was supposed to be. Was also supposed to hear from corporate within 72 hours (per rep), it's been over that, no response. Good things to note, however: As mentioned, gentleman at store counter was helpful, Phone customer service very helpful all the way around, from finding trucks, to handling the complaints, to getting a locksmith to the truck, when I goofed up. I will avoid using this Summer Ave. location in the future for rentals, because of this situation. Still a great place to get propane! I would've given 1 star had it not been for previous great propane service or the man at the counter who helped me.

Truck with 251k miles had very loose front end. When checking out truck wasn't asked about insurance I was charged for. Took 2 tried to get someone to check me in. I've rented here before. This was a bad experience compared to other times.

Online check-in took forever, so I had to go inside to check in. Again, since the last time didn't work either. Check in was quick this time. Shockingly, no wait at all! Returned vehicle and no one approached me in the check in area after 8 minutes, so I did the self check-in and all went well. The self-check in needs some work. Usually, there's a 45 minute wait inside, but today was great. No one helped me check out, but the app worked well for that.

Online rental process was horrible. Retail location rude and not helpful. Much needed/improved processes to improve customer experience. Very unhappy with this experience, and I've used U-Haul many times.

I did have an issue where my reservation was cancelled and at first I was told there wasn't anything to rent but then they figured it out. Turns out the issue was I chose one (9' van) online they don't have that at that location so I had to get a different size (10' van) which was fine. But that issue should be corrected on your website and an email should be sent if a reservation was cancelled. However, the worker who helped me was excellent.

You all did not listen I told your staff I had a home owners insurance policy and in return I was told I had to get your policy which does not cover all of my content . But i know my policy will cover just do not like you charged the 7,95 for non reason...just listening helps ... and asking for a copy of the declaration page would have helped ....

When I made the reservation I thought I was talking to an employee of the location that was closet to my Public Storage unit. That location was only a block or two from it. Well, on the day of the rental I noticed the truck pick up location was different, around six miles further. When I called about it I was told that my call was re-routed to a call center to make the reservation. I was told that the nearer location had no 15 foot truck available. NO ONE from U-Haul informed me of ANY of this! I feel that I should be reimbursed for approximately 12 miles out if the way I had to drive at 0,99 cents a mile.

Most of the workers at this location are rude it's incredibly unbelievable there are very few that actually have customer service skills I couldn't wait to move out so I wouldn't have to deal with any of them ever again. The night I moved out a white lady working cause I don't have names said it would be $20 to unhook and hook my carrier back up to the truck, I thought it was ridiculous but whatever I'll pay it. I sent my son in to pay and the black that was working told her not to do it and from my understanding from another customer he felt like she was talking nasty to him so he came out to help us. I'm just glad it's over! You guys charged a whole month and I was only there less than a week this pay month, then no one ever called me for a location to pick up my reservation so I had to find a location in another state at the last minute and drive 3 hours y'all are the worse.

When I arrived there was a lock on the unit. However the csr and manager were very helpful. The manager walked over to my unit and removed the old lock. She also made sure I had everything I needed.

Storage unit was fine. Customer service experience was horrible. I ordered a uhaul and tried to get them to pull it out of the parking spot for me to get it ready for a walk around, etc. but manager said they wouldn't do it. Just very unfriendly people working there and will not be using them in the future.

I have been using U-Haul storage since 2004 and in Feb 2021 I was able to get rid of one of the 2 rooms that I had. It was a sense of relief. I have had bad service many times when I had to interact with the front office staff. The day before yesterday, May 1st, 2021, I had to go to the office because your computer system was down. This is unacceptable. I was unable to pay my rent online. I had to drive 9 miles one-way because I did not want to be late with my rent. You should hire better IT personnel and if it was due to power failure, you should have a Diesel generator.

I stored half of my household in room 1713 for 15 1/2 years and finally on February 2nd, 2021 I consolidated all my possessions into room 1705. Over the years, I have noticed that the quality of service of this facility has gone down. It seems that when I ask for something, they are doing me a favor. It took a month for the office to acknowledge that I had emptied room 1713 which I communicated with the attendant at the front office immediately after I cleaned the room. They even sent me an email asking me for payment of rent of the unit after 3 weeks that I have emptied it and released it. Customer Service needs a serious revamp at this location.

Employees are rude and I was told I was gettin a 10×10 and I got a 5×10 they dont prorate or any kind of a deal.....I moved my stuff to another storage with a 10×10 with easy access and cheaper and 24 hour access

The girl who helped me was very easily flustered and distracted and kept putting other customers in front of me that had been there less time than me. It took an hour from the time I got there to when I was finally able to unload my moving pod in to the storage space.

The constant calls and poor consideration during a time when our country was in crisis. Even after I was told my personal items were auctioned off, you continued your calls. I felt the young lady who was to finalized my storage locker closure did not take my concerns to heart. I raised two or three concerns that I felt she could have handled, but she chose not to assist! I was able to later go online and finally find the answers to my concerns and took care of them there. She absolutely did not want to do any extra work, but she did hurry back to her phone call!

The staff could not explain policies effectively. I reserved a 10x15 unit before hand and the staff said that they could not rent the last kind of unit, so they may not be able to give me the 10x15 that I reserved??? The manager did not help at all while the store clerk/cashier attempted to simultaneously check out three customer's orders. The cashier also said that workers would show us where my unit was, and help us unload. The workers did neither. The manager refused to check out my truck rental that I needed to drop off, and kept calling on the radio for someone else to do it. No one did until AFTER closing time.

There was always some issue that staff couldn't or wouldn't help with. From day 1, it has been full of issues. I reserved a 1st floor, 5×10 unit. I was given two 2nd floor, 5×5 units instead.

Only hassle, frustration, dishonesty. Some problems included: promised 8x10 but given two 4x10s instead (very distant from access and Upstairs!); website showed $0 due until late fee applied; & MORE!!

Excellent truck and tow dolly. The tire strap came loose from the drivers tire while in transit. I checked the tightness of the straps each time I stopped. If I had to do over I would rent the hauler.

Due to moving issues, Uhaul regional office gave me 4 extra days free & to pay 2 extra days if truck returned on 5/28. A cashier at this location Destiny charged me 3 extra days and was rude about it.

I would not recommend it to a friend because they don't pro-rate. If you had stuff in storage for ONE DAY, you're going to pay for the entire month.

The staff is a little rough. I suggest Customer Service training: greeting customers when they walk in, apologizing for a wait >10 minutes, and thanking customers for their business. That would help.

The biggest problem I had was with management staff. Everyone else was excellent. I had issues with my card being charged multiple times but upper management (not at location) were able to resolve it.
