Improve your customer service. When a patient is overcharged with extra fees that weren't made clear to them through your mobile check in process, be sure your reps can explain the policies adequately and refrain from telling the customer it's their fault for not understanding something that is not explained at all in the rental process. Also, if you intend to charge dolly fees, please make sure they are secured in place, instead of not securing them and trying to charge the fee even when the customer did not touch the dolly. There was no elastic band or ribbon or anything in place when I got the truck, and they tried to charge a dolly fee when I returned it how I found it.

The customer experience at this location really made me question my decision to use Uhaul services. Had I not made a reservation and had more time to adjust my plans I would have left without the equipment. Interactions with two separate employees was incredibly poor and certainly not what a brand would want in terms of representation.

There was always some issue that staff couldn't or wouldn't help with. From day 1, it has been full of issues. I reserved a 1st floor, 5×10 unit. I was given two 2nd floor, 5×5 units instead.

This was the third time I have used this location. I now try hard to avoid the rude associates inside the building. I watch and see that all customers in line are treated the same and simply look at each other and roll their eyes, knowing the pain will be over soon. I even checked in online hoping to minimize the experience. equally rude I watched who I think was the mgr have a long personal conversation from behind the counter as line of customers listened and became more frustrated. Then she announced "I'm going on break". Priceless. Fix the leadership and this could be a great place. The outside crew is excellent.

Rented a 10ft mini truck to move our son to first time apartment in the city. Truck worked well. Pickup and checkout was quick. I also filled my propane tank for home grilling when I returned the truck. This location is run well and the workers seem in tune to the task. Thanks and we will be renting again.

I picked up a 26 ft truck at 5:45pm in a heavy rain. I go out to leave and start out of the parking lot but decide to stop and check the running lights only to find they are not working. I was told I would have to get another truck as there was no way they could get the lights fixed that night. I go in to find the counter help busy with other customers and tell them I need another truck. I stand there for approximately 15 mins and ask, if anybody was working to get me another truck. I was told by a lady that a man behind counter was working on getting me another truck. MY QUESTION IS WHY WAS I THE PERSON TO FIND THE RUNNING LIGHTS NOT WORKING? Why would someone at this business place not insure everything was working? Why would you use a half tank of fuel at start and require the truck to be turned in with a half tank. Who does not know the tank gets full, the pump shuts down. A half tank is back and forth from gas input to gas gauge in truck. I go to turn the truck in at location provided by you and there is no one at the place and it is closed. A business next to the location helped me to locate the owner which says he cannot accept the truck and later I find he is having some problems possibly with codes. BAD, BAD EXPERIENCE AT START AND FINISH WHICH WAS UHAUL. THE 940 miles in between was good which was ME

I am a repeat customer- girls at desk aren’t real friendly or personable, but they are fast and efficient and I always get what I need quickly and can get on the road. I like the quick and knowledgeable service so have only used this location for all my Uhaul rentals, hitches, etc for about 12 years now.

Found it rather petty to have your customers neatly fold the blankets and sweep out the truck or slap a surcharge. $547 doesn't include folding and sweeping, c'mon guys. Even the car rentals don't expect you to vacuum out an wipe down the cars before you return them.

Staff at desk were slow, impolite. Staff who brought the truck and returned the truck were fast, friendly, polite. Truck was poor quality compared to other uhaul trucks/vans I’ve rented in the past. The check engine light was on, the staff said it was fine and they knew about it, but it made me nervous. If I had needed to drive any further or go on the highway I would not have kept that truck. Overall I’ve had a good experience renting from uhaul over the past few years, but would not rent from this location again.

There are to many additional charges & issues that are not covered online. We needed a different type of trailer hitch that the location tried to charge us $60+ for, but we were able to get a better one down the street for $20. There was an additional hold on my debit card that I didn't see online. The rental was less than 24 hours. One of the employees took our hitch off of our car without us knowing or being present. The pushy sales tactics made me uncomfortable. When we came back after getting our trailer hitch, the young man that helped us connect and return the trailer was very professional and courteous. He was the saving grace for the location.

It was convenient that we rec'd the truck the same day that we needed it, but the inside windshield was very dirty, the interior was covered in dog hair and dog saliva on the inside of the glass, the driver's seat cushion was worn out and you sank when you sat down and the passenger side mirror was so loose that when you tried to adjust it, it would not stay in position and therefore rendered it useless. Just wondering why the truck didn't come with a full tank of gas, ours was only a little over half full. It was a little inconvenient having to stop and top it off while we were moving items. The return of the truck was a little confusing. We sat in the truck as instructed by the signage, however when no attendant came after a 8-10 minute wait, we went inside only to be told by the two females inside that we were supposed to wait in the vehicle. Which we had done, to no avail. However, my husband returned to the truck, but I was then told by the counter help that the attendant was busy in the back with something else and one of them promptly radioed this attendant alerting him that someone was trying to drop off a truck. Uhhhh, maybe they could have told us that on the front end instead of ordering us back into the truck. It seemed confusing, but it was a Sunday afternoon and perhaps this location was shorthanded that day and some glitches in communication prevented us from knowing what to do. Once the attendant came, we were quickly check in and on our way. In all, the truck ran very well and we were pleased with the way it performed, we just wish we would have had a better overall rental experience. We probably won't ever rent from this location in the future.

I should have been asked to turn on lights. I should have checked it myself. Brake and turn signals worked. No tail lights. I was driving on interstate at night with no tail lights. Besides that, I was very pleased with my rental.

You should not quote a charge 0.39/mile and then increase it to 0.59/mile and then without notice say that the reason you are increasing the amount of money charged is because I didn't drive more than 100 miles. If that's the case it should be disclosed in the contract and not a blindside to the customer

CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKED!!!!!!!! In addition (at no fault of this location), this is not the location where my reservation was made, so I would like to complain on the Mendenhall location where confirmation was made 3 TIMES. Once I am actually there to pick up my truck, I was then told that it would be at the Summer Avenue location. Now, back to Summer Avenue: The little girl who "serviced" me was rude as HELL!!! She quoted me the incorrect rate then turns to her co-worker and says "She said it's too much" like I couldn't afford to pay. What I "couldn't afford" was her errors. Needless to say, I had movers scheduled, and her slowness, taking other calls while "helping" me and side conversations with her neighbor made me 1 hour late for my move! I HATE THIS LOCATION and hope I never have to use them again!

the store manager is mean. mean to customers, mean to employees. he was rude to me in front of another customer. he told he I should go to another store if I don’t like his manners. i’ve complained to your office about him before, but he is still there. so obviously uhaul thinks his behavior is acceptable. if you anonymously polled your employees about his behavior, you would get shocking responses. he should be fired.

It took 40 minutes to pick up my trailer. I did not have to wait at all when I arrived, but the person checking me out took five phone calls and made me wait during the transaction, there was no one out back to hook me up for several minutes, when I went back in to finish the transaction and get back my drivers license the girl had going on lunch and the new teller, apparently a supervisor, told 3 other customers To check out before me. Crappy service.

When I initially came in to make a reservation on 11/22 for 11/23, the associate stated there were no trucks available from that specific location. I went down the street to another Uhaul and they reserved me a truck for the initial location I first left and the associate stated they could not reserve! Then I ran into an issue returning the vehicle after 7. I returned the truck that evening at 8 PM as agreed on, but based on the instructions/information I received when I picked up the truck earlier that day, I was not aware that I would need to take pictures of the odometer and instead, had already dropped keys in drop box. This morning, 11/24 I went to same location to explain my mishap and the associate was very rude, offered no resolution and stated to call management on Monday. I have used Uhaul for many years and this was the WORST experience every. I will never use this location again.
