These people have no idea what they are doing and need to take lessons from the Prescot Office from Brandon Corbitt. He went above and beyond to help us locate the trailer and he was at a DIFFERENT location (he deserves a raise!) Thank you Brandon! (still cant get a receipt from the Tempe office though after 3 days of communicating. Just Terrible!)

I was able to check in my van after hours using the phone app with out any issues. Process went smooth and I will use Tempe Town Lake for all my Van rentals in the future.
Michael B.My truck rental agreement was for 24 hours. 1 pm Sunday to 1 pm Monday. I dropped off the truck at about 545 pm Sunday because we were done with truck. The location was closed for the day. I wrote the comment: I was informed the truck had only a quarter tank of gas when I received it and I was dropping it off with just over a quarter tank of gas. I placed the keys in the key drop box and the rental agreement in the paper drop box. In my opinion the drop boxes should be checked first thing the next morning and the trucks moved out of the truck return lanes. I received a call TEUSDAY AT NOON, 24 HOURS AFTER MY TRUCK WAS DUE TO BE DROPPED OFF, "WE WERE WONDERING WHEN YOU WERE GOING TO RTURN THE TRUCK". I stated I had returned the truck Sunday at about 530 pm Sunday and placed the keys and rental agreement in the drop boxes. I asked why they had not checked the drop boxes and placed the trucks back in inventory Monday. The answer I got was basically, "Oh. Thanks. Bye". ??????????????

I had to wait 2 hours for mechanics to come and tell me I indeed needed a tow truck and waited an additional 2 hours for them to arrive. I didn't arrive back home until 3 in the morning. Really wish I could get discounted price for the inconvenience.

alexander H.First truck I got the gate was broken in the back. They gave us a new truck but when we got back to drop the truck off we were wrongly charged. Everything got fixed but it wasn't smooth and there was a lot of issues.

Alexis L.Absolutely wonderful experience!!!! Let me start about my journey to this U-Haul location. I first went to the U-Haul location on Thomas and McDowell there were two cashiers and one person in line. One cashiers his name was Cody told me that the other cashier would be with me. After a 20 minute wait the one cashier was still chit chatting with the customer, Cody did not call my name but rudely made a hand signal to approach him I asked if there were any Trucks available he said in a rude tone “no†I left frustrated because there were plenty of trucks on the lot. I made my way to the U-Haul on McClintock and the receptionist was very cheerful and nice. I asked for a regular cab truck I was rented out a moving truck I was approached by Jeff and told him I really wanted a truck he said “No worries I will get you one†I was so thrilled that great customer service exists. Please let the manager at the Thomas and McDowell store about this his team can learn about the team at McClintock. -Best regards Tom C.

Caused me to almost miss the closing time in San Diego. Gave me a truck that was on Empty Gas too. Neither the guy or the other two gave me very little insight on towing, shifting, etc.
William G.No sure why I'm being charged your “safe move fee $14â€. I only had the vehicle for 4-1/2 hours. I would have asked my insurance provider if a uhaul was covered, or my platinum credit card would cover in case of an accident. Never knew about this fee until I got home and saw the e-mail….after returning the truck. Maybe letting your customers know ahead of time of these junk fees, your customers would have a better experience.

bradley C.The staff was great, the location was fine. 2 problems for me... one I had to go to this location after booking closer, and at double the distance I took it up the ass on mileage. Not cool, but not the location's fault. But the truck was a death trap. The steering wheel was 90 degrees off, completely blocking the instruments driving straight. The steering wondered all over the road, the brakes barely worked and the pedal pulsed violently just puting it into gear, it groan and squealed like a jet engine with no oil in it, and speaking of oil it leaked like a sieve and puked oil everywhere it parked. That truck is going to kill someone...

Liana R.When a U Haul site does not have out of state equipment rental it would be nice to inform the customer about it. I was lucky enough to call a day ahead of time to verify my pickup and was informed that I had to go to Tempe to pick up. I was lucky they had a trailer available.

Customer service did not forward any notes on the reservation. I feel they skirted the GARANTEE. The truck fuel gauge is off, I called customer service and told them and have a picture. I have a fuel charge and the store reported lower fuel level than I dropped it off at by almost a quarter tank.

When I came home and opened the back, there were paper scraps and sand. I cleaned it and used it. But today don't worry, before I returned it, I mopped everything. I returned at 6:10pm.

Difficult to maneuver in and out of facility due to too much rental equipment blocking driveways in out and inside facilities.

Are storage door was really damaged and when we told them they just ignored it. Also my storage was broken into and nobody ever really helped out. When I called corporate to find out the status of my situation. They had not been informed of what had happened. Apparently the employee that reported the incident never properly informed corporate about the incident. I'm very disappointed in how uhaul chose to handle this situation. It appears to me that this was a inside job because whoever broke into my storage knew my code and only targeted my unit. No other unit was broken into. So no I will not ever recommend this place to anyone.

I was driving through Tempe to collect the stuff and return home. All I wanted to know was if my gate card had a numerical code in which I could use if the card did not work. That's all. A thirty second phone call. I called the McClintock phone number three times, each time on different days, at different hours as it said while on hold they were "busy". Really? That busy? They couldn't answer it and say we are slammed busy, we'll be right there to help you. Each time I was on hold for more than 15 minutes. NO ONE picked up or picks up the phone. After the 15 minutes of holding I was then transferred to a national call center who told me they left messages for the manager or employees at Mcclintock to call me back. NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. NOT AN EMAIL. NOT A TEXT. NOTHING. It's always funny how a business is happy to take your money but when it comes time for customer support everyone just happens to be busy. If I was late on my payment, managers/employees find the time for late fees and collection centers. My final time I called, I stayed I hold yet again for yes, you guess it 15 minutes. And yes, I was transferred one more time. This time though it was to Neferti Hernandez. She took my information and even emailed and texted the McClintock manager to contact me through email, phone or text. Once again. NO ONE did. They couldn't give me 30 seconds of their time. Now If I were to give Neferti Hernandez a rating: 50 STARS. Yes fifty. I hope this email or response finds a way to her manager as she deserves praise. Uhaul is beyond lucky to have a polite, considerate, friendly, responsible person who was competent. I could write 100 more positive adjectives about her. The manager at McClintock should call Neferti Hernandez and learn how 2 minutes of being helpful goes a long way. Manager at McClintock Uhaul, please remember, you are not the only storage facility in Tempe. In business, you're only as good as your last job. You make hard working people like Neferti look bad. She did her job, you need to step up and do yours.

Every time I called the facility, no one answered the phone and I would be automatically connected to the corporate office. Living out of state temporarily and being unable to connect with the office staff where my storage unit was, made for a very uneasy feeling and had me constantly worried, until just yesterday when I was able to clean and close out my unit. Tony, the previous manager, was the best employee this location had. I would never recommend this location in general, whether it be for a moving truck, storage facilities or even moving supplies, to anyone I know, as I would hate anyone I know to feel the way I had. Best of luck to this location and it's dire need of quality customer service skills.

Two guys working on Friday 8/14 around noon were beyond rude , not helpful, and very unprofessional. My son, Sean went to the counter politely told the two guys that he left his key at home (in California) could they help him get into his unit. One guy looked at the other guy rude and sarcastic and said "what can we do? " They pretty much said we can't help you at ALL period. My son asked can a locksmith help? Can you recommend a locksmith if so? They said" No " and "No"... Just rude and unprofessional. Then, when I stepped up they said it's a liability. That is fine to me, but I'm sure they've been in this situation before and could of had a different approach and been more helpful.. If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't want these two being the face of my business. Makes your business look very bad! I would think twice about getting rid of these two.
