After arriving at the UHaul location the app/website requires you to photograph your license, then provide a passwort or phone number of someone to verify your identity (who UHaul will call - so make sure they are expecting a phone call from UHaul! otherwise you are required to enter a different number). UHaul: Why do this after you've arrived at the location and "checked in"? At least warn people that these steps will be expected after arriving at the UHaul location. e.g. I did not bring my passport because I did not know it would be useful. The truck was acceptable but it was missing a tire pressure sensor.Lawrence A.

I've rented several 8x5 trailers in the last couple months to get my daughters moved into new apertments. This one seemed out of alignment. When I got it up to 70mph, it rode rougher than the others that I've pulled. Otherwise in ALL situations, the trailers performed GREAT. Would definitely recommend.Mark H.

The young man that I had phone conversation on Friday/Saturday was EXCELLENT. He was respectful, polite, informative, suggested insurance, told about access code or purchasing lock, whereas another man that I spoke to was ABSOLUTELY , % HORRIBLE. He didn't know anything and did not suggest or attempt to explain how services were working due changes because of COVID. I'm actually in another state moving back to Illinois and because of his lack of knowledge, I started to look elsewhere. The trailer I rented smelled horrible. The floor was covered with what appeared to be goat droppings and lots of fine white hairs. Someone had used the trailer to transport animals, and it didn't get properly cleaned. This was a problem since I was using the trailer to a new couch and loveseat that we had just purchased.STEVEN W.

I had the 24/7 option. The key wasn't in the lock box, the dollies and blankets weren't in the truck and I had to wait over an hour to actually get the truck. The truck worked great, but I will explore other options if I need to rent a truck again in the future.Jeff P.
We had to wait in line for at 30 minutes, only 1 person was helping customers. Was told the truck had over 1/2 tank gas and it was on empty, so we had to hurry and find a gas station. So of course put more gas then what we needed because didnt want to have to get gas again. The parking lot was to crammed and barely room to park.Theodore K.

Misleading info. Poor service. Broken equipment. My 19,95 rental (in town) cost me over 35,00 $. In my book a day is 24 hrs, not 8. The only pickup time available was 6:30 PM, return at 2:30 AM. What crap. I use public transportation which is not available at night. I had to ride my bike over 4 miles home. Using this dealer cost me 8 miles of charges. The yellow pages list a dealer 1/4 miles from my house, but when I called them I was told they were only a drop-off for one-way rentals. Bull S***t.William W.

I was told the cargo van had been filled up. While the needle was on Full, it hadn't been filled up all the way. I drove 17 miles, and had to put in over 5 gallons of gas to fill it. Unless the van was getting 3 miles per gallon, somebody owes me some money for gas. Also, the entire time the warning message "Service Tire Pressure Monitor System" was displayed on the dash, so I couldn't check my mileage.Leonard P.

The vehicle was rented to me with bad tires. I really feel I should have checked them before renting it to me. Due to the blown tire, I missed meeting the moving crew that was supposed to meet me in Evanston to unload the truck. I ended up having to unload the truck on my own. I tried calling the customer service line but was placed on hold for hours and never getting anyone on the line. I've rented from this company before and have never received this poor of service.TERRANCE S.

Very hard working staff, but also well-understaffed. Long lines and a 30+ minute wait in the morning just to pick-up a preregistered unit. Also, asking for another contact person while people are waiting instead of having it part of the original application is just a silly waste of time. Additionally, have to do separate credit card transactions for the rental and buying boxes is silly and another waste. Lastly, not having a printer is ok for most, but not good for some. A bit sketchy. At the end of the day, the staff were hard working and courteous and doing the best that they could under the circumstances. We lost an hour on the front end, but everything worked out ok.JASON S.
My overall experience was decent. However, I had to drive 2 hours out of my way to pick up my equipment from where I sourced it from. That was an extra 35 dollars of fuel and 2 hours longer before I got home at midnight after an 9 hour workday. Don't let people book equipment that is not on site at the location.JASON G.

Wash the inside of the windshield. It looked like someone had sneezed on it. Alex (Mgr) did a good job checking in. He had several customers waiting at 7am when opening. He worked through them quickly and got everyone what they needed. He was also very patient when asked various questions by the customers.THOMAS F.
