Parking lot was a mess. Trash all around. Also, apple maps said their store closes at 10:00 pm, which is not true. I do not know if they have power to change the hours posted on there, but it would be helpful to others in the future.

My ratings are based on the gentleman that helped me. I walked in to drop off the trailer and there were 4 people inside. No one greeted me or asked me to wait. A gentleman that was outside when I pulled on the lot came inside and he helped me. He was nice and helpful and assisted me very quickly. 10/10 for his help and customer service.

Even though they were busy, they were helpful with unloading the trailer and then dropping off the truck later on. Only issue was I left the gas tank above where I picked it up and they said I left it lower and charged me an extra $63 for refueling even though I put more gas in.

Employee assisting during pick up had his pants hanging so low his undergarments were quite visible and his company issued shirt not property worn and simply hanging from his neck. Not very pleasant in the transaction. Waited 15 minutes to drop off vehicle due to zero employees in the building. Calls made to the business phone with no answer. When one finally made himself available, he was slow to make his way to the counter, despite the customers waiting. Very unprofessional.

Rented a tow dolly to move my daughter one-way home from college for the summer. 7 hours into the drive, the bearing on the dolly seized causing the spindle to literally pop/break, resulting in the inability to continue the drive and damage to the towed vehicle. Roadside assistance was as helpful as possible, arranging a tow truck to assist in removing the vehicle from the useless dolly and even offering to put us up in a hotel for the night and deliver a replacement dolly the next morning. After verifying the damage did not affect the safety of the vehicle, we decided to continue the drive home due to scheduled commitments. 3-1/2 hours later and $80 more in gas we made it home at 2:30 AM. As directed, I called UHaul Traffic Control and explained the situation; the representative was also understanding and helpful. A claim was filed for review and action by a supervisor within 24-48 hours. Later that day, I received an email with a refund receipt for the original charge in full. However, prior to arriving home from work that same evening, I received another emailed invoice/receipt from U-Haul with an additional charge of $85, twice as much as the original charge in my initial reservation confirmation, and a pending charge on my credit card! I can only hope this is a "basic" failure of internal communication, regardless it's extremely poor customer service. I will provide one more chance for reasonable action (i.e. refund in full) to right the wrong before filing an insurance claim for the damage to my vehicle.

We reserved our truck over a month ago, but when we arrived we were told the system was showing it as not paid, despite the charges already showing in my bank. They ran my card again, and again the payment didn't show up. So they ran it a third time. And then the system showed it as paid. I have been charged three times for the truck, and did not receive back a refund for unused equipment, nor did we receive the full fuel credit we were promised. It has cost us a lot in overdraft fees and a bounced check. I am extremely unsatisfied and will not be utilizing this location again.

I was charged 38 for gas, and I put gas in it before I dropped it off. I only drove 29 miles! Please call me at 573-356-8499 to fix this.

Absolute worst customer service I have ever had. I will never use Uhaul again. Over an hour late on reservation time with not so much as an apology, disrespectful managers at multiple locations, disrespectful phone support as well. They messed my reservation up from one way to same city and cost me a whole day driving back from STL to Columbia. I cannot stress enough how unprofessional and disrespectful everyone was. They at one point threatened to report the vehicle stolen........ I had my truck scheduled to be picked up at 2 pm. On a time crunch only got the truck for 23 hours. I used the 24/7 option and filled out everything needed. Had to go in for keys and they could not find the truck keys took 45 minutes for them to pull out a dirty truck with trash in it.

The personnel at this location were friendly, but not very efficient. I dropped my trailer off so I could unload the U-Haul, but they didn't give me any documentation showing that I dropped the equipment off. They told me they couldn't check it in until after I brought the U-Haul back. That's fine, but they should provide documentation showing that equipment had been turned in. When I brought the U-Haul back, it was the same thing. They had another customer there, but asked if I needed help. I told them I was dropping off the U-Haul and had dropped off the trailer earlier. They took the keys and said they'd check it in. Again, I received no receipt nor documentation. A few days later, I received an email from U-Haul stating that my equipment was overdue. I called U-Haul and the call was picked up by the main office. I explained to them the situation. The representative told me they would call the store where I dropped the equipment off at and they'd get back with me. Thankfully, the next day, I received an email confirmation that the equipment had finally been checked in.

Worst customer service I have ever had. I will not be using Uhaul ever again. My reservation was an hour and a half late & changed from one way to in town. I was then told changing back to one way would be $280… I was already late and paying movers to sit around waiting so I couldn't fight it. Then I was berated over the phone and in person when I tried to rectify the issue in STL at the olive blvd location. They told me if I dropped it off there it would be reported stolen. You would call the cops on your patrons??? For YOUR ISSUES??? Absolutely appalling.

I called to confirm I would have a mobile pickup ready at 6:00 a.m. - I was told I was confirmed for mobile pickup and ready to go. I also showed up in person to verify the boxes were there to smoothly be able to pickup the truck I needed via mobile pickup. The morning of, the key was not placed in the box and I had to wait an hour to pickup the truck. I was relying on this van to make an extremely important, unmovable event time. I was forced to wait until an employee who did not even work with the actual scheduling of the truck pickups who graciously assisted me. This was terrible professionalism on the part of this location. This was a serious violation of my trust as a consumer. I will not be relying on this location to have a pickup ready when I need it again.

This was the first time I have used the 7/24 pickup and return service. I was a little confused with a fuel charge shown when viewing the receipt immediately after returning the truck. I left a comment stating this. The next morning I received a call from a local Uhaul representative explaining that it was a credit and not a charge. The 7/24 process and representative reach out was very good. I am well satisfied with my latest rental. Thanks

When I was moving stuff out of my storage one day I forgot a box sitting out and they put it inside and made sure it wasn't tampered with that box had my bank account info in it thank God for the staff noticing the box and helping me out I would strongly recommend them

A number of things. First, we did not have a code to get into the secured area where the storage was located. So we had to wait until the one guy working there came over to punch the code in to get us in. Then we drive in and head to the back where the storage was located to find a lock on his door. So I drove back out of the secured area to find out you needed a code to get out! We had no code. We could not communicate with anyone because there was no one around. The call button on the code pad did not work so we stood there waiting for about 30 minutes until some guy loading his own stuff outside the gated area went and got someone for us. So then we got out and had to wait for another guy to figure out how to get the lock off. That took another 20 minutes until he finally found a key. Then he gave us a code to use to get in and out so the rest was ok.

We went in to pay for a unit and had it all set up. Later, we went to the unit to start putting stuff in and it was locked. There was a lot of back and forth before we were given a different unit. Through all the confusion, the man who finally fixed the issue was very helpful and courteous.

For whatever reasons, we were unable to access our unit for 2 days because the storage facility and the parking lot at the u-haul center was overflowing with u-haul trucks. We were able to get in if there were staff there to move trucks out of our way, but the route to the storage area entrance was blocked off by trucks for 3 or 4 days in a row, severely limiting our ability to move our items out of storage after work.

The only negative I can say is that the unit's lighting timer is too short. It's well lit for about 5 minutes and then it goes off. The unit is very secure and very clean. The staff went above and beyond to make our move easier. Tammy, Abdul and Cam are the best! This is a great location and I highly recommend.

Every encounter with U-Haul staff was pleasant and efficient. I always felt completely safe every time I visited the storage unit. Thanks for having an excellent facility in Columbia, Missouri.

While we did not visit the facility, our "pod" arrived safe and sound exactly as promised! Delivery/dispatch kept in touch the entire time. Melissa and the1-800 teams were amazing! Beyond satisfied!
