Wendy S.My problem was I was told I would pick up the Uhaul truck in Madison at this location. The night before I was to pick up the truck I received a call stating my pick up was 80 miles away. Uhaul should communicate that the established pick up location is actually probably not the pick up location so customers can make arrangements to drive hours away. I had to rent the truck for an extra day to go get it. Otherwise my rental was smooth.
Jhon T.You did not honor the location I requested. This caused me to drive 4x further than I initially expected, greatly increasing my mileage and fuel costs. All that the employees would offer was changing my rental to the weekday rate, which means my mileage cost was still over 3x what it would have been if the truck has been picked up from the location I selected I do not intend on renting from U-Haul again.
Joshua S.These guys were great, but U-Haul didn't send an email or any notification that they changed the dropoff location from the original contract. Wasted time first going to the original location. Please, PLEASE notify customers via email/text if the dropoff details change. It's 2022

Michael O.If you say that you will give a $50 credit if the location does not have the equipment, then you should honor it. I was told I made a "Class 2" reservation and that the $50 was only relevant for "Class 1" reservations. I would also have liked to be notified earlier than the night before @5:30pm I would not be getting any equipment for pickup in less than 24 hours (9:00am the next day)

Michael G.I ended my storage principally because I am in the process of reducing my personal effects and monthly costs. I am editing a lifetime (67 years) of pictures and photography equipment. My family have distributed my parents' belongings and all that left was my stuff. My pictures and negatives are in good order which attests to the fine quality of your facilities. Merci.

Huge waste of time and very frustrating. Please consider making the lock boxes digital so customer service can actually do something when we call.

Daniel N.operators at the local store might be short staff when each time i call they don't answer. The ending of the monthly rental could be prorated instead of having almost a month of charge if you cancel in the middle of the month.

Paul F.I don't know his name, but they guy who initially rented me the trailer was the best customer service person I have met in a long time. Friendly, honest and helpful. Even while telling me and the person in front of me when I returned of the unavailability of the trucks, he did so professionally and seemed to understand the impact it had on our day. He gets 5 stars. Dropping off was a little more difficult but the person handling that was clearly overwhelmed with UHaul corporate office on the phone and did the best she could.
patrick M.When returning a U-Haul back to the store... it asks is it ready for the next family, and the state that my trailer was in it was clearly not ready it had loads of matted down grass it had to be blown out and kicked out and scraped out so obviously it wasn't ready. Although I wouldn't think this is a deal breaker I just wouldn't want to be the guy who would have to clean up someone else's mess. I also had concerns about the dirty grass, since I had to put my clean furniture in the trailer but I had the guys blow it out to the best they could with a blower but it would have been nice to have a nice clean trailer to start with.

Jim C.Anne the general manager of the UHaul location that day, was truly great and made what was turning into a bad moving day, into a good experience (if you can call moving and storing things fun). She took time to help me find a different locker that was more convenient and what we needed, she was extremely helpful, pleasant and courteous despite what seemed like being understaffed, extremely busy and it was over 90 degrees outside. The UHaul experience has definitely gotten better over the years, but the great online tools combined with someone like Anne made for an above average transaction and experience.

Valentine G.Can was dirty. Clerk screwed me over with lies about file usage. I drove a total of 11 miles, as indicated on my receipt. I put in a gallon of gas on my way to drop it off. He said I was low on gas and charged me for two more gallons. What the hell. The van gets three miles per gallon? Typical lies to gouge more money out of customers. How can they tell exactly how much gas is in the vehicle?
Tim S.The drop off process was not good. I pulled into the equipment drop off area and no one came out to help so I unhooked the trailer from my hitch. When I was done, someone came up to me and said they wanted me to pull the trailer back to the trailer area. I told him I was already done. He got mad and stormed off. I went inside to check out and two guys were behind the desk talking, they could have come out and told me or helped. Made me feel like I did something wrong when I was only following your signs.

Jerry W.There were multiple cases where UBox seemed to lose track of the box. At one point they told me the box was on its way, when it was still sitting in my driveway. There were multiple attempts to pick up the box before the agreed upon pick up date.
Ted Z.When I returned the vehicle I put gas in it. I have a picture showing the gas gauge is at the level it was at when I took the vehicle. They are claiming it was less. I would like a refund for the gas and respectfully an additional $10 due to the inconvenience.

Bradley S. | Expérience généraleThe move in experience itself was poor. The directions for finding the unit should have included a letter identifying the row in which the unit could be found. The map should contain the same alphabetical row lettering as in the storage building itself. I spent a massive amount of time trying to find the unit. The unit was secured against entry, I could not open it, no one answered the phone when I called the desk, I wandered around until I found a call box, someone came and opened the unit, the provided lock did not work, I had to go to the desk to exchange the lock, the swipe access card did not work properly, and I had to return to the desk to address that. In the future, take the customer to the unit rented, make sure the unit opens, and make sure the provided lock works. Everyone was helpful, but more up-front assistance should have been provided. This was a poor move-in experience.

I must have rented 15-26' trucks and 12 foot trailers. Should be a point system or something that if you rent storage for so long you can apply the points to rentals, Most likely do not have any affinity in the future for U-Haul. Think about it!!

When I arrived at the facility I was told the unit I reserved was not available and my reservation was not really a reservation and everything is first come first serve, but what do you know they have a more expensive unit available that is smaller then what i reserved, nice way to bait and switch and to upsell. I had movers meeting me there in 30 minutes, so i had no choice. Completely unethical way to upsell people. Avoid at all costs. The word games the friendly customer service person made were worthy of a skit on Saturday Night Live.

I called U-Haul and confirmed that my reservation was valid and they said yes. I added my nephew as an approved person to access the storage. When he arrived he was told that there wasn't a reservation. 44 minutes later, I had to do everything online again. VERY frustrating that my nephew couldn't get in quickly as we had planned. Very upset that the reservation number 'wasn't valid' then annoyed that I had to restart all over online. Complete was of time. I'm thankful I only need to use the storage for a short amount of time.
