Unfortunately one individual can destroy a good customer service. Make sure that you have always someone for returns.
It's pretty shady to charge per mile and expect the customer to fill up the gas, and especially to leave that out of the advertising until the customer is at the store.
Online check-in was easy. When I arrived, the staff was friendly and had me in the truck in less than five minutes.
Check in guy was a real a__hole!!!I waited in the check in area,first in li8ne for 20 minutes before he came out.He then went to the truck behind me and started to check them in.I asked him what was up and he got beligerent and said he did not see the truck?????Is that your job,and how can you not see a moving truck parked,lights on waiting,but could see the truck behind it.
All went well and staff was friendly and helpful
The heater in the van didn't work. There were other confusing functions to the van that need additional work in explaining or eliminating (e.g., interior lighting control, Tow Haul default function, etc.)
The process was confusing. The information online wasn't clear. I didn't know when I chose the time and distance whether we would be charged for only the distance we actually travelled or the distance I put in Online regardless of how far we actually travelled. I didn't know if we could keep the truck longer if we needed to. It wasn't clear what the checkin/pickup process was. There should have been clear written instructions before we started the process. We didn't know how long it would take so we got the truck later than expected and we didn't know we would have to provide the number of a person to call at time of pick up so we had to scramble to find someone who was able to take a phone call right then. For returning the truck we decided to just try talking to a person instead of figuring out what the online instructions were but we stood there for a while wondering if we were in the right place before anyone came out. So very detailed written instructions (and video to cover all types of learners) explaining step by step what we would do at time of drop off and pick up before clicking â€œI'm ready to pick up my truckâ€ would make the whole thing much better.
Have more people working so lone doesn't get so long. I was able to complete my rental fairly easy, as no one was in line. However, when I went back in to ask a question, there was a line and I had to wait just to have it answered.
Dwayne Collins and Harry Omartian were HUGE helps and did a great job with customer service and making sure I had everything I needed. I appreciate their help!
Do a better job of informing of equipment text to website before leaving location.
The young man who helped me in the process was excellent. He was precise, helpful, polite, clear in his directions, efficient. I could not have asked for anything better. I don't know his name but he deserves getting positive recognition for the way he carried out his duties and interacted with his customer. Very service oriented which is highly important to me. Thank you.

1. The rental pick up was delayed because they told me they got the order late the night before. I was notified this location was the early pickup location many days in advance. I had to wait till they opened at 9 AM, which DELAYED MY MOVE and delayed the packing of the truck. U-Haul Failed on the early pickup!!! 2. The truck was in very bad shape. The doors did not close properly making the truck EXTREMLY NOISY and I had 4 hours of interstate driving to do. Again, a U-Haul Fail! 3. The gas inlet was somehow damaged so that it took me over 30 minutes to fill the tank. I made 3 stops to make sure it wasn't a particular gas pump. I could barely get past a trickle before the pump would shut off and I'd have to try again. BIG U-Haul Fail!! 4. The track cab and the cargo area had a VERY STRONG SMELL of Marijuana. It smelled terrible every moment I was driving it. The folks at the drop off location verified this and even said it was stronger when the truck was turned on. I'm sure no one at the Verona Rd location ever checked the truck after it was dropped off. 5. I picked the truck up with 1/4 fuel tank and dropped it off with just less than half full. I was more than gracious in returning with more than the required fuel level. This was THE WORST U-Haul experience I've ever had!!! I would like a refund for this rental. It was a terrible experience!
The customer service was terrible. The rep did not go over contract or explain there was a fee for overnight drop off. Also, he saw me struggling to carry 20 boxes and walked by without even offering to help. And i went back to add driver...he told me I didn't need to
Previous rentals we were told if we wish to donate boxes to leave the unused boxes in the Uhaul and it will be donated. The attendant informed me that if we left the boxes in the truck we would be charged a cleaning fee. There were 4 good boxes and they didn't want to take it so we took it inside. The previous experience and this one lacked consistency.
I did the express check in and still waited more than an hour in line to pick up. I was third in line at 7am. That is utterly ridiculous. Budget was faster than even your online check in the last time I moved. And the inside of the truck was cleaner. AND it was cheaper with unlimited miles in my area. I will likely use budget next time.
Check in takes a long time. There were only 2 people at work. I was the 7th person in line and it took me 35 minutes to get served even though I checked in online. Can you make the process less manual or just staff up on the weekends?

More staff needed, or perhaps deployed more efficiently. Waited 5 minutes or more for staff to appear at the desk. But everyone is very helpful and friendly. We have used this location several times and will continue to do so.
Tell the supervisor Adam that he should have a little more respect for his employees.
A quick hands on orientation-gas tank opening/lights/windshield wipers etc for someone who has never rented a cargo van before
