The U-Haul battery died twice. Which caused us to be behind which cost me $150 because my movers could not move my belongings in the U-Haul. And I had to rent the movers for another hour because the U-Haul was dead.Chesley C.
I was maybe 5 minutes late returning the rental and was charged for a whole second day and second day of insurance. Wow! I even called to tell them that I was stopping for gas and then would be there. All of the employees were still at the store and I handed them the keys. I can see being charged something, but $55 extra dollars is a bit much for 5 minutes past the return time.Lea S.

Truck was in poor condition. It had over 130 000 miles, the steering didn't feel right, and the transmission didn't work properly. I wouldn't feel comfortable driving it very long distances. I think I'll use Penske trucks from now on. They seem to be in better condition, albeit more expensive.Gaylen B.

The 10' truck I rented at first sight looked great. After loading it and getting on the road I learned differently. The seats are not adjustable, they sit practically straight up and after awhile they are uncomfortable. The windshield leaked above the rear view mirror. The transmission made bad noises and made me feel it would break down anytime. The shocks need replaced, the vehicle bounced the entirety trip. That combined with the vehicle wanting to wander made controlling it difficult at times. Just happy we made it without incident. I would not recommend this company for a long distance trip.ken A.

The entrance on W. Waco was blocked due to construction. It was a pain to drive further down on N Valley Mills to make a U-turn just to enter the U-Haul center. More staff is needed on the weekends at this location. It's way too busy for only one person inside at the desk.Courtney M.

Clearly understaffed. I reserved a truck and a trailer, didn't have the trailer, even though when I ordered it online, they said they have one. Stood in line for a long time to pick up my reservation. When I dropped the truck off, stood in line again. One staff member was just standing in the corner watching, the other one was standing at the counter having a good old time with another customer, barely getting anything done, cracking jokes, having conversations about going out to dinner and discounts, while me and three others stood there for over 20 minutes waiting for them to finish dicking around. I ended up walking out and told them to bill me. Gave the keys to some dude outside. This place is trash.Eric R.
The first car I had a hitch put on was a really good job. But this time he didn't put things back into the spare tire rack that he took out. Then he just wrapped the trailer plug around the hitch frame.Karen L.

Had some issues with rental agreement but the manager corrected the issuekenneth K.
Nothing wrong with the physical location, the truck, or the customer service specialist on the phone who called to change my reservation due to problems at the original site. The online check-in process, on the other hand, was AWFUL. 90 % of that could have been completed earlier--submitting a photo of myself, my drivers license, verifying who I was with multiple other people and their phone numbers, etc. I was kicked out of the app 3 times during the process, having to start it all over, along with retaking the photos again and again. That should be able to be completed as part of the original reservation process, with only the vehicle inspection to be done onsite. It set me back 45 minutes, causing others to be waiting on me, also.William P.

The person outside seemed really bothered by having to do some work. Never offered to help until I started to unhitch the trailer in the drop-off area. Because he did not want to have to move the trailer himself, he spoke up, rudely. Poor customer service here.George C.

Your services and vehicle are excellent but you have a very very unstable pricing system and habit. This s not good for business development. Always give adequate notice for any change in price not when the contract has been negotiated and almost about to debit my credit card that your price change suddenly. The reading of my gas was vey inaccurate, I went to 7-Eleven down the street and back to return truck. I was right by the full tank and the reading I received from receipt was not right.Ronnie M.
I had to go to 4 different locations to pick up a reservation that I made weeks ago and reserved with a credit card! The first one got moved to a different one. That one was the wrong one or got moved again or something, so I had to go to yet another one. That one had the trailer but not the truck, so I had to go to another one all the way downtown, get the truck, then go back to #3, get the trailer, then go all the way back to my home - which is across the street from the original location by the way. Plus, they were "out" of the dolly and blankets I reserved. Why did I even bother???Edward F.

Customer service was a big issue. 3 service members in office but only one assisting customers. One was counting out a drawer and another was breaking down boxes. Poorly organized shelves customer were confused as to where to wait to be attended.Dereak R.

I scheduled for a 4 hour window. Then get there & rep told me I only scheduled for 1 hour. I then get a text msg 2 hours later saying my reservation was for 4 hours. Ordered a storage that holds "2 rooms" it was extremely small & did not hold 2 rooms. (False advertisement) I had to cancel everything & then go to a different uhual place. Got assigned a storage only to find out I could not get into the storage because someone else had a lock on it. The online check-in was easy and the employees at this location are very friendly. The issue I had was during the move-in process I saw no less than nine roaches. Four crawling on the walls, four on the ground in my unit and in the hallway, and I even had one on a box sitting in the hallway that I went to pick up and move into the unit. Had I not been severely limited with time because of my upcoming deployment I would have refused the move-in and gone elsewhere. There's clearly an infestation and no pest control. I'll have to fumigate everything in the unit before I can move it into a new apartment when I come back from deployment.
