I appreciated everything about the storage facility and staff. My recommendation for anyone that may be storing nice furniture…even short term…is to get a unit that is inside. The outside unit leak too much air and dirt and debris will make its way into the unit. Not a complaint, it's simple advice for the end user.

CLAUDIA CThey genuinely listened to my concerns, and tried to help as much as possible. They were flexible and honest about moving costs involved. I am glad I learned about UBoxes which my first daughter recommended for moving. After being scammed a few times from past movers, I came up with a conclusion that I should use UBoxes and UHaul for future moving. I am really happy about smooth interstate moving transition which could have been another unpleasant experience.

LEE TThis location is the best one I have ever found. I rent equipment 8+ times a month and never have had a bad experience. The team members always go above and beyond for their customers and I have seen it in action many times here while waiting my turn. I would recommend this location over any other location I have been to so far.

PEDRO OOnly one comment the truck I had was a very bumpy ride on some roads not sure if it was the road or bad suspension there was a couple of roads I was on that for a a driver that wasn't used to driving one it could be a handful for them. I drive trucks regular bases and I didn't have trouble.

Sean HStaff were very helpful. We did have an electrical short in the trailer itself - Maple staff were not aware - short did not appear when we picked up the trailer and all lights worked fine when checked by the staff and myself. NOTE MAPLE STAFF could not have known about the electrical short. It seems the electrical short was sporadic - I had my truck checked and it was not caused by my truck - when the trailer was empty I could make the lights flicker just by moving around within the trailer. Again Maple staff were excellent!!!!

MICHAEL SI was talked into a larger trailer than I reserved. Shame on me for trusting the guy that said my vehicle could handle the larger size. "No problem !" Now my car is stuck in nowhere Kansas, I spent another $1000 to rent a truck to pull the big trailer, and I'll have days of extra time to recover my vehicle. Oh, and the lights didn't work. Please don't trust the people or the equipment here. You may pay dearly if you do.

SAMUEL TI paid in cash and gave your employee $20 extra by accident and after I got out to my truck he ran outside with the $20 bill saying I overpaid so I gave him the $20 as a tip for his honesty.
DAVID BI came in today at 11 am no notice given with a need for a vehicle to move a piece of art of a specific size(too big for a pickup). I was greeted immediately upon entry, told them of my need, and was fitted to a vehicle (they even went out and measured in front of me just to be sure). Process was quick and transparent and I was on my way within 15 minutes from entry. Upon return again was promptly greeted , mileage etc was checked and my charges were final. I had the vehicle for roughly 90 minutes and put 15 miles on it. Total cost was under $40 all said and done. Great value, good service, nice people. I will use again.

But every thing was great and the people were very helpful and friendly so I was able to extend my use of the van for a couple of weeks so it worked out well for me. I always had enjoyed using U-Haul/ Tried other companies but always came back and never disappointed! Merci.
DUANE DYou could have your people check the running lights on your equipment. Get stopped by the police during our trip wasn't appreciated when it was because of your equipment.

COREEN J | Premières impressionsneeds lighting in all units or an outlet available - perhaps auto shut offs inside units after all when you have 10 units at once like we have had right now we only have five left but when you have 10 at once you're paying in the same amount of money as you would for an apartment and when there's no lighting inside the unit unit that's very frustrating and you cannot find an outlet to reach extremely frustrating. in addition, the rent needs to be lowered. Not only that you advertise climate controlled storage and that's BS. Every time I went into my interior storage in the summer it was 96° inside that is hot enough to ruin your items and melt your candles that's inappropriate for what you're charging

I would not say the same thing about the mom and pop store in Fairbury, NE. I think it was a mower sales and mechanic shop, perhaps an auto sales place. The man that helped me there was very rude to me. However, I had a blow out less than 50 miles from loading the truck in the blazing heat on the tow dolly. Very courteous lady that helped me over the phone with corporate U-Haul. The gentleman that came to change the tire was very courteous and got us on the road quickly. While I was waiting for the mechanic to show up to change the tire I decided to call about my storage unit because I had made a reservation for a storage unit. I couldn't get through to the store so I talked to corporate rep and he helped me out and also gave me the phone number for the storage facility manager, Edward. I ended up needing to call Edward and he politely helped me out getting everything taken care of on the business side of things concerning the storage unit. Edward was was very kind and extremely courteous to me, and I explained to him the goings on ebecause it just finally felt like a person cared. We laughed a little about it and we finally got the stuff out in storage after a 14 hour day. Thanks again Edward.

Patricia N | Expérience généraleI moved out of the unit in February and they refused to document it and kept me in the system as a current renter. They did this for almost 6 months before I found out. This fraudulent behavior has resulted in my account going negative to the tune of almost $800 and U-Haul will not acknowledge the fact that one or more of their employees has either made a huge mistake or is running some kind of scam where he/she is benefiting from such fraudulent activity. Upon discovering that this fraudulent activity was occurring I then started investigating and found out that the unit was set for public auction on the 25th of May, 2023. By U-Haul's own terms and policies the contract for the unit is automatically and immediately null and void after public auction occurs. Again I was billed again for another 2 months. When I discovered that someone working as a U-Haul employee was using U-Haul's brand, system, facilities and customers in a scheme for personal financial gains I was bewildered, shocked and exponentially angered to the point of ending the lives of everyone in the facility, but upon further thought and consideration I chose to keep the peace. Even though I am a highly trained and decorated killer, I try to keep those talents and abilities away from the civilian world and only use them on missions and deployments. I would highly recommend that someone at U-Haul figure out a way to shut this employee ring of bandits down and I mean yesterday.

And now I know it's normal with them. They are the only storage place I would spread the word not to use. Further, your policy that storage and truck reservations are NOT REALLY RESERVATIONS.. is absurd. I was told "if anyone walks to the counter before you we will give away your reserved unit". Which is exactly what happened when I drove into town and showed up with my truck and movers being paid by the hour. The facility I reserved had NO space. So I was forced to go 5 miles away and then carry all of my furniture up stairs to my unit. A truly awful experience. Your trucks are great. That is ALL U-Haul does well.

The entire process took an hour and a half, from the time I arrived with my truck to the point where we actually had the unit and could begin unloading. The staff were completely incompetent, I was passed around like a hot potato until I finally got to someone who seemed to know what they were doing. Once we -finally- got the unit and opened the garage door, we saw at least 15 roaches scatter into the walls. When I brought this up originally to the staff they told me that pest control would be out within the week. Fast forward to Thursday, August 18th - I arrive at the unit to pick up some of my things. There are roaches absolutely everywhere - on my things, on the floor. I'm not thrilled, but I take my things and go as I was in a rush. I called on Friday the 19th to report the roaches and to pay my bill for the unit and then discover that not only can they not find me in the system, but they've rented my unit out to someone else! Eventually, after two hour long phone calls on 8/19 and 8/22, they found "my" unit (wrong unit number, my stuff is not there), and it was listed as being rented by my Dad, who lives in Chicago, and had nothing to do with the rental whatsoever. I had to physically walk to the storage building, open my unit, and show them that I was in the unit that I said I was. I told them about the roaches again, and was told -again- that pest control would be out within the week, which I can only assume at this point is a bald-faced lie. I was given a month of "free rent," but I plan to leave a very public review unless the bug situation is resolved permanently. I have spent a total of 3 hours out of my life trying to deal with U-Haul's incompetence, and now will have to spend countless more cleaning and re-packing my things because they are probably infested with roaches. I am disappointed and upset, to say the least. I rented this unit in the first place because I'm disabled and needed a place to put my things after escaping an abusive ex. Moving and a legal separation are already difficult enough, this storage unit fiasco is absolutely the last thing that I need to deal with. Shame on you, U-Haul.
