JOE PPlease note that my actual and physical move out date was Wednesday, June 03, 2025. I had spoken to on site staff members that I was moving out before my rental due date and was reassured that all would be well and I would not have a rental payment due for June. The staff was very courteous, attentive and helpful and not to mention that they actually picked up the phone to take my call shows their dedication to provide the ultimate in customer service.

The Lewisville people sent me to Lake Lewisville where they told me my trailer was, I just needed to take my contract over there and pick it up. That location knew nothing about this and of course, the trailer wasnt there. So I spent an hour on the phone to get sent to Addison. Addison was great, Lewisville was horrible as was Lake Lewisville
John CIt took forever to rent two Dollies. The girl I dealt with was a trainee and had no idea what she was doing. Also, a Texas drivers license in the new format should be sufficient without having to give two references. that isjust plain stupid. Finally, your national phone system with a reference to a regional system, whereby they determine whether a particular location has the equipment is a freaking disaster.

It seems that corporate IT staff were doing updates during business hours the busiest day of the week. The staff worked under lots of pressure to get us checked in and on our way. Later when we picked up our auto transport trailer the help connecting the trailer, loading and securing the car were well worth the extra $20 I paid for the service.

STEPHEN PPlease contact me about my U-Haul experience. I got pulled over by the police and could have been arrested because of the state of my U-Haul trailer, they had thought it was stolen because of the poor condition of the trailer.

MARK WI told everyone that the AC was not working. They simulated to have fixed it, so I took the truck. They told me if it didn't work I should tell the staff at my destination. So I did, and they told me that it was not their problem because only the origin facility had control over the account. I drove 4 hours with a 100 degrees on a truck that pushed hot air though the vents when turning on the AC. Read all the suggestions online and in the app, nothing worked.

JOHN CI usually don't have any issues renting a truck from this location but Sunday was a whole different story. I walked in with a friend to rent two trucks and the guy at the counter told me I wasn't allowed to rent two trucks. He was kind of being rude about it and so was the woman working at the counter. The whole process was stupid asf and it took the sweet white woman to step to say that I had a good rental history with them to get me through

GILDA SI feel the unit cost price going up over time was not necessary. Nothing changed from the ment we got the unit to years later when we took out everything. Almost $20 extra a month for remodel? Not sure what they really remodeled and fixed, but there were bugs and drywall all over my stuff in my unit that I swept out because I was told if it was left dirty, I would be charged something even though that had nothing to do with any of the stuff that was in my unit. And then on top of that I had to pay for a whole Nother month when my stuff was only in there for three days I couldn't even get a prorated amount that was money wasted down the drain when I've been paying this entire time for years since 2022 up to 2025. That's a lot of money. And to be told, I had to pay for a whole other month when I only had stuff in there for three days literally the days I was taking everything out was kind of messed up. I would give 3/5 star just because of the price of the unit going up from the beginning of time of us getting it to the dirt that we found inside to the fact that we had to be charged for a whole Other month when we didn't use a whole other month.

I would suggest putting on the shed/building by the return equipment lane "KEY DROPBOX" so that it can be seen when you're looking for it. Went to the front of the office and it wasn't there where most key dropboxes are any other time I've used Uhaul.

GILBERT QThe location is sometimes a real mess; other times, it is okay. During this rental, they were hours behind in their work. They called me three hours after I returned my truck, asking where it was. I told the woman that called it was returned hours before to the tech outside and asked her not to change me an extra day, she hung up on me. On a previous rental, they did the same thing and billed me another day because it took them too long to check the truck back in.
SCOTT GProvide a digital copy of the final receipt and charges to the persons email before the final charge post to their account. I rented the U-Haul on Tuesday may 11 and used it for about 4 hours and still have not received a receipt to my email as promised. But the total amount/transaction has been posted to my credit card.

Luckily I kept notes of each conversation and what had happened each time I spoke with them. If I didn't, I could have been screwed out of my stuff. I was forced to "abandon" my unit and remove my things because they messed the entire account up. Now I'm not sure if I'll have any trouble renting from Uhaul in the future. If I need storage, it won't be at this location again.

I called on December 2nd at 9:57am talked with a male he assured me that he would verify move out by checking my unit and would email confirmation. I NEVER received a email. On Tuesday December 3rd at 8:55am I called U-Haul talked with Rachel, she put me on hold and went to check the unit. She confirmed unit is empty however I had been charged storage fee for month of December. The male I had spoken with on December 2nd had NOT initiated the move out procedure to clear my account. Customer service is to follow through by handling the account properly and call or email customer back as you stated that you would do. In my case this did not occur which lead me to call back and drive 15 minutes out of my way to ensure my account was closed with zero balance. Rachel was excellent in her handling of my situation and I would like to thank her for following through and being professional both over the phone and in person.

I called the emergency number to jo avail. I was able to use the construction cone outside to keep the doors from closing. The cops came and harassed me because the alarm went off. You need to ensure people's access code and badges work as advertised to avoid harassment from the Carrollton police dept.

Manager then was Matt V and he didn't care when the concern was brought to his attention. Swipe cards never work. For as much money as that store makes, charges for these units and as big of a company U-Haul is the technological part of the system should not feel like it's from 2001. It should be easier to check in/out. the times that the doors are going to be locked and when they will be open needs to be more clear , as well as consistent!

I went into the facility today and I was told that the receipt is false and got the storage on the second floor. Upon questioning the staff told me that the receipt I have is "NOT VALID". For a company like U-Haul to do something like this is absolutely unbelievable and unethical. I believe I did pay extra to get the storage on the first floor which I never got.

Poor and rude manners of female stuff ( except Monica), your so called young female manager( a hispanic female) was so rude and pathetic that monica( a trainee) had to reprimand her. It appears that this particular young and inexperienced employee lacks very basics of social conducts, not surprising!!. She needs better training in very basics and that isnt forthcoming from u haul. Your &your superiors for that matter are out of touch. Play too muh golf do u? Unfortunately they messaged Me out of nowhere almost a year later and were on the verge of auctioning my prized possessions. I was touched to know that they really did try to help Me, but was in another cycle of financial struggles. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in need.

I paid once because I thought it'd take a while to kick in. She never set me up with autopay and getting my situation handled well was a nightmare. It still never got handled correctly. They refunded me for the days used and told me to pay for the full time by the 10th of a certain month. I tried paying for it and nobody answered. They said if it wasn't paid by that time, they'd auction my stuff so I assumed my stuff was gone. For MONTHS after, they tried to manipulate me into paying for everything when it was supposed to have been auctioned off anyways. I'll never use the storage for U-haul ever again. The truck rentals usually go very well.

I spoke with Tanise who confirmed the unit was not available. I requested a solution since the reservation could not be fulfilled. She said that she would give me 2 10x10 units with the first month free to resolve the reservation issue. When I arrived to the store they said the not only do they not rent 10x15 for in-city moves but that I would not get a free month of rent on even a single 10x10 unit. I overall just feel mislead. I did a previous city move last year on 8/7 26494143. The solution here is I want the first month free.

ODESSIA D | Expérience généraleIt's a good place, well-lit and clean and very secure in my opinion. The staff on the other hand is a different story. I've only been to the office three times and unfortunately, in every experience I had with the staff I get the most unprofessional service and just outright subpar service and courtesy. I do not get acknowledged and when I ask for something, seems like it's a big task. In comparison with ExtraStorage Place, I went to 3 different locations, and the staff there were so nice and very helpful and offered to show me around. I don't know why there is a discrepancy but it's literally night and day difference in terms of professionalism and courtesy. Lastly, didn't like how Uhaul kept increasing their prices every 3-4 months or so even though I always paid in 3 months increments. That is why I left.

VICKI V | Expérience généraleI had an easy move out process. I was so in a hurry in moving that I forgot a step in checking out my move out of the storage & it was done for me. Very convenient. I only had 1 encounter with an employee that I thought was below average. I was given a hassle because I was supposed to have one month free with my uhaul storage because I had purchased a uhaul truck. She at the time sod not want to allow me to have one month free. Even after she saw that I had the uhaul outside of the building full of my cargo. She has to escalate the issue because she herself could not handle the matter and her supervisor confirmed that I was entitled to one month free. Aside from that I had a pretty easy going move-in and move-out. Majority of all were friendly. The facility was very well kept and I had no issues with the security of my belongings. There was one slight issue… I was given a code to access and asked to provide a 4 digit number I wanted to use. I did that and it was populating as someone else's name and unit number. This was never corrected. Luckily they were in the process of changing the security system to a card swipe and I was able to access my items.

I have no doubts if I didn't de-escalate the situation, the employee would have become physical as he was very incidary and attempting to intimidate me. He was laughing when I asked who was the manger, then claimed he was the manager and sarcastically asked if I still wanted his name for my report. Charging me $50 for cutting a Uhaul-store brand lock when the lock fails and there's no guarantee is also absolute disgusting behavior. I will NEVER use Uhaul ever again.

Even the corporate call center manager could not contact the store. The general manager, Matthew Varveris, never answered his messages (left by call center manager) or returned calls. His cell phone has always had full voicemail box and, as a customer, I was never able to leave a message. This store has caused me considerable stress and dismay. I genuinely am disgusted by the business and their practices.

Planned on picking up the morning of Oct 12. Unfortunately I went to the emergency room the night of the 11th and in the morning of the 12th they transported me to medical city of Arlington where I stayed until yesterday about noonish when I was discharged. so you guys put a lock on unit 1881 for being four days late and yesterday when I asked to speak to a manager to see if there's something you guys could do to help me out instead of paying the full rent since I was only there for four days and no one could help me. I had a plant in the unit and I needed my things immediately. So I paid the full bill! I will be requesting a refund.

I never asked for the pmt to be comped but was rather disappointed that the option was so quickly retracted. I made the payment with Crystal. Hoping I can make online payments moving forward. This was not a new move in. My husband and I have had the unit since 2015.

I will only communicate and contract my moving needs with his location from this point The initial online experience in my truck and moving needs were horrible and cost me more money and wasted time. Online customer service provided me with a moving company that was 2 kids in a car with no packing experience. They had no tools or supplies to secure my things. UHaul chose the wrong size truck for my long distance move and the worst packing experience ever! I had to secure another truck to move and store my additional furniture and secure a storage unit locally so that I did not abandon my things. I will now have to pay for a moving box to bring my things to Florida after paying $2000 initially. If I had not had Josiah to try and correct and resolve these major issues I don't know what I would have done. Again this rating is only for his location.

Srinivasan G | Premières impressionsUnless it happened to not be working, you no longer need to swipe your access card in order to access your unit. This was the reason I returned to this location. Whether myself or a thief opened my unit without my access card, an alarm would sound. I don't see what's keeping my unit secure now. Anyone could bust the lock and the staff doesn't seem like they would do anything if they suspected a robbery. There are cameras but without an alarm, who's to say it's not their unit? Is there protocol for anyone to check? Staff is friendly, but there is no sense of efficiency. I reserved my unit online to avoid hassle. It took nearly an hour from the time I showed up to get my unit because nothing was ready for me. I was asked what type of locker I wanted when I'd already selected an upper 5x5x6. When I arrived, it was a lower. I had to wait in line again to get the correct unit. When I arrived to the new one, the zip tie was still secured, so I had to leave again to get it off. Thankfully I hadn't hired movers or it would have been a costly wait, but I did have family help who had to wait on me when they didn't plan on the delay. Any service request usually takes a while, but I stuck with this facility because the security was worth it. I can say the hallways and units are clean, but that's really the only benefit to being here now

We went over on our monthly lease by 7 days because we had to leave town for a death in the family. So we were charged a full months rent for 7 days use. Yet UHaul would not offer any kind of a refund for the month. Not even partial. Nothing. I know it is in the contract but exceptions should be made for some circumstances and a death in the family would be one of them. And I have worked in IT for decades and know that every billing system has an override procedure so blaming it on the "system not allowing it" is just lying. If I am ever in need of temporary storage in the future, I will not be using UHaul.

Call the after hours GM no answer multiple times. Had to sleep in the truck at night, in order to go to the office at 7 AM and was Told " what do you want us to do about it?" Then got a charge for going 30 miles on the truck because I couldn't unload my stuff when I was specifically told I was good to go. Gonna take this first free month and move out and stay far away

The only negative comment I would have is that the wait time at the front office is long particularly before weekend with lot of vehicle and equipment renters in line and those transactions took a long time. .If you are just buying a few packing material you have to wait a long time just to pay. Also it would be a good thing to have a toilet facility and drinking water for customers.

I am not too pleased with uhaul overall, even some of the staff agreed that communication can become misaligned at times.

I have been unable to get refunds. When I call, I am on hold for 20 minutes, the local store answers and they switch me to a national line where I am on hold again. I actually was able to talk to some one at the local store when I moved out of 3291 and they appeared to put notes in the system, but nothing ever happened.

I called customer service the store to get a refund and was placed on hold for 20 minutes. Some random guy answers he could assist me. He claimed he removed me from auto pay and processed the refund. I didn't believe him and went to the store after work. I found out I was still on auto bill and my account had not been refunded. The guy was able to cancel the auto payment and refund my account. He says it will 3-5 business days to go into my account. I will only rent trucks and trailers from there. I will find another way to store things if needed. Thanks

I support people's choices to wear or not wear one, but typically employees were not following mask mandates. In many of my visits to the facility, they would pass within inches of me with no mask at all. As a cancer patient, if I get sick, I can't get treatment. The reason I needed storage was to live with my mom who is immune suppressed, so we could isolate together. If employees don't want to wear masks, I would like them to do it between themselves, but not within inches of my personal space, as what often happened. I don't take it personal, I would still recommend this location

Our only issue was that for the big room, there was a beam running through it, and we were not notified of that before paying and accessing. That can make a huge difference in what you can store in there, so you should definitely let customers know beforehand of any obstacles in their storage unit!

carol V | Expérience généraleThis is our third time using this location. The other 2 were excellent experiences. This time was not. We moved in at the start of pandemic and the customer service then was amazing. They helped my daughter during a stressful time. Exactly what I would expect. About 2 months in we encountered problems when we received a late notice on the unit which was set to autopay... according to our bank, Uhaul was attempting to process a payment with an incorrect zipcode so the bank was denying what looked like a fraudulent charge. My bank explained what Uhaul systems were doing wrong and how they could remedy the situation to receive payment. I called Uhaul and explained what they needed to do to fix it. I spent over two hours on hold Through multiple representatives and then was told their systems were down so they couldn't do anything but to call back. This was the first day (one day late) but they agreed to wave the late fee. Someone from Uhaul called me later that night to say the fee was added back until the situation was resolved. I called the next day to make sure it was fixed and the (different) staff member was rude, insinuating dishonesty on my part, and claimed "unable to wave the late fee" because they had already done so once. So after spending over an hour on hold that day I had multiple late fees, disrespectful customer service, and no real resolution. Ironically when they fixed the zipcode in their system-the one USAA said was the issue and Uhaul personnel denied could possibly be the issue-my payment was magically able to be processed along with late fees. Clean safe facilities but unacceptable customer service. Would be difficult to recommend to other families of college students because of this level of disrespect.

JOSE V | Expérience généraleAlthough I had a brief and negative conversation with an employee, who was less than friendly about me using the outside dumptser ( he threatened me and told me that dumping was a $100 fine). I then had a WONDERFUL and professional conversation with the General Manager, Josiah, who advised me that I could pay to use the dumpster, and I was HAPPY TO DO SO. Thank you Josiah for your higher level of professionalism and for explaining the policy to me like an adult, as opposed to the employee who talked to me like I dumping my house trash off at the closest dumpster.
