When I had booked the vehicle, I asked for 8 days, they said I get 750 miles, I said that's fine, they told me 295 plus taxes and feeds. I had to go an hour out of town to be able to pick it up. There was dents on the vehicle that did not have the little â€œXâ€ stickers stating it had been seen by the uhaul company. When going to return the vehicle I found a zippered bag of marijuana under the seat, mind you, It's illegal in NY. So that would have been a fun turn of events if I had been pulled over while on the highway. Then while I'm driving out to return the truck a day early, I receive a call from the uhaul company saying I was suppose to return the truck 3 hours ago and they're wondering where it is. I refused to get into it with them on the phone while driving. When I had gotten there, they charged me an extra 79$ stating that my rental was only 7 days when I had booked for 8 to give me an extra two days incase it had rained during the time I was moving things. Overall, I've used uhaul several times through out the years, never once have I ever had a bad experience until now. Very off putting, will most likely end up using a budget truck next time to avoid issues such as these.MICHAEL S.

Your truck share 24/7 app and system are horrible!!! Their weren't any signs telling you were to go with your car to start the process. The app was ridiculously slow to upload docs and then after uploading the pics, the system said your Free wireless service which I connected to, was too slow of a connection to upload the docs. I then had to do the entire process over as all my information was not saved when I switched to using my cell phone internet service to connect to your website through your app. The final strive frustration was when I have to finally getting through the entire process, I still had to go inside, wait in line, and deal with salesperson who had trouble finding my records in the computer. I would have been in and out and way less time if I had just skipped your app and done my rental the old way. The app also asked for more information that was not requested when I made the reservation, regarding the second contact person.Dominic I.

Dirty truck. Used the app but still had to wait at a long line at the counter to get key. No pads as ordered walked w a worker to every truck and trailer on the lot for 20 mins and eventually another worker arrived from going to another store w borrowed pads. Good morning I have to honestly say it was a very bad experience for myself and my family. I reserved a 26' truck for 9AM. I spoke to a representative who confirmed the reservation the day before my pickup. When I arrived my truck was nowhere to be found. It was somehow rented out to someone else. Due to my time restraints, I hired movers through your site to arrive at my home for 10AM, I had to settle for a 20' with a trailer. The trailer was given for free but still an inconvenience because I had never was one before. It raining and the wipers were horrible. If you hit a bump the emergency lights come on on their own. I finally got back to the house and unhooked the trailer as directed and then pulled the truck up to my home. I waited for the movers for 2 hrs. They finally showed up at about 12:15PM. No one reached out to me until I sent an email and text message to find out if they were going to show up or not after paying over $500 for 2 people for 4 hrs of labor of which was confirmed the day before as well. Mind you I hadn't slept almost 2 days trying to make sure I completed everything I could due to the fact that I'm packing up a whole house in my own. The way they packed the truck was great but the trailer a whole different story. I now have a $1400 computer that has a dent on top of the frame of the screen and the screen has a scrape across it. A second one has a scrape across that screen as well. They somehow acted all the monitors/computers on top of each other. I had plenty of covering but somehow they were only used for the big furniture. My son's dresser is broken, his brand new mattress has huge black stain on it. One of my bar chairs has a hole in it so I had to throw away the set. The headboard of my bed and one of the side beams that hold the mattress is broken. I'm missing a bag of screws that I strategically taped to the bed so that wouldn't get lost. That's going to be a mission. They broke my $90 fishing pole in half. But as I was informed in the email the day prior, â€œthey are not insuredâ€ so anything damaged they're not responsible. I arrive to my destination and the movers I hired were so late I did the work myself due to the weather I couldn't wait like I did in the morning. I call to trying and cancel the second team but they were no help due to some glitch in the system at the time of my booking them, I never received a code to release the funds so it can go back into my account. So it is still on hold today. I emailed the Movers Help support to request them to release the $320,95 on their end I also included a picture of the JB-48581254 confirmation number that was sent to me so they can release that correct funds for the evening team. Somehow the support team apparently didn't pay the attachment any mind because refunded the movers payment from the morning team. I was unaware due to unpacking an entire house and not looking at my phone, Affordable Reliable Moving Service JB-53675a40 sent me two very rude emails of which I felt verbally attacked and disrespected. Adding salt to injury they also harassed me by calling me 7 times within 45 minutes. I responded right away to the support team first then informed the moving team of that fact that none of this was on me nor was I aware. He made me feel like I had intentionally stealing from them. I'm waiting to hear from the Movers Help rep as to when this will all be rectified. To see how your company treats us Marine vets is an eye opener. Needless to say, it has been a truly horrible experience of which is still ongoing.Teresa S.

The representatives at this location, Albany NY, are not paid enough for what they do. They were under constant pressure from customers to provide rentals when none were available. They were professional, courteous and helpful at all times. Not the sites fault but Uhaul in general. I was charged an extra $25 for over-mileage which is bs. It's 92 miles from the pickup location to the drop off location. I was only allowed 109 miles total, leaving 17 miles to retrieve and drop off items. It's 8,5 miles from my house to the drop so that only leaves 8,5 miles to pickup my stuff. There were no 15' trucks available anywhere near where the items were located. I will not be using Uhaul in the future over $25 dollars. I hope it's worth it to you.David N.
I was told that I returned the gas tank to the appropriate level (which was Â¼ full because that is how I picked it up) and that I wouldn't have any issues with being charged. One hour after I leave I get a $150 bill for 20 gallons of gas. I returned it more full than when I picked it up! Don't listen to what they say here.Mike D.

have rep go over LOCKING van doors. i didn't know there was a side door or that the front door was not locked when i exited after street parking. locks required using the key each time, not a fob, so a demo would have helped. Went there didn't have van. Left called minute later said they did. Went back rented one. Waited 10 mins in hot sun for it. Then they had to find keys 5 minutes later brings van, tire pressure off. Waited again to be sent to garage for air. Person totally clueless on how much air he was putting in. In the end, waited 30 minutes to get it. Have rented often from haul with much better service. There was construction work going on with loud noise and debris in the air. We were there for over 1 1/2 hours. Our representative was helpful but easily distracted. None of the other 6 employees were doing anything to help. One employee was disrespectful to me by telling me I shouldn't be getting the 1 month free storage unit offer despite not managing my rentals. She just sat there and was making rude comments. I asked for an 8 by 16 and completed the paperwork, purchased the required lock, which no other storage facilities require, and attempted to access the Unit. When I got to the 5th floor, there was a lock on it. I had to go all the way back downstairs, then outside back to the counter. There were at least 4 staff available who could have told me the unit was locked, or better yet, actually unlocked for me once it was reserved. When I came back to put my items in storage, I accessed the facility but then was denied elevator access. I had rented storage at this facility in the past and had elevator access problems EVERY time I was in the building. It's aggravating, and unnecessary. Nobody offers to fix it, they just have a staff person get on and use their card to get you to your floor. The office was not busy when I was there. My unit could have been unlocked for me once I completed my reservation. I had back surgery a few weeks ago and it is difficult to walk long distances. I don't know why I had to go back and forth up and down 5 floors so I could tell the front desk there was a lock on the unit. They already knew. I have been complaining about the hallway lights for about a year for unit 6176 not working. I've been told repeatedly they will be fixed. Rent increased according to the letter to upgrade electrical abs lighting but still the hall lights do not work. While I could easily answer yes to your questions above, I simply can't give U-Haul of Albany more than 2 Stars. Accessing my unit (located on the 2nd floor) was incredibly frustrating because the elevator/key card/punch code system wouldn't work and every time I had the issue staff said "yeah, the second floor doesn't work." While the staff was helpful in solving the issue each time, it's clear U-Haul of Albany isn't investing in upkeep of their facility. U-Haul of Albany needs to: 1) fix its elevator service, or 2) fix the key card system.Bob D. | Expérience générale

Horrible rude and almost willfully unhelpful staff, facility dangerously hot in summer months with no access to water free or otherwise like in vending machine. Suffered heat stroke while moving into unit. And then treated as a criminal element every time I returned to access unit, which was a great deterrent to continuing a service contract with U-haul your employee's are your public face. I was not able to move my stuff into the storage unit due to the fact that there was a lock that wasn’t removed on the unit previously nor was it mentioned how to gain access to my unit.thomas c. | Premières impressions
We signed up online and paid for a unit in your Erie St facility. We received an email with the access codes (but no instructions on how to use them) and were told that our unit was unlocked and ready for us. When we arrived, we had trouble figuring out how to get in due to poor instructions and were only successful after another customer helped us. When we got to the unit, it was locked,. Repeated calls to customer service wen unanswered. The cell of the GM went to a voice mail and was never answered. The intercom was never answered and there was no one on site to help. We drove to the Broadway Office where Megan was very helpful, switched our rental to that building, and then showed us how to work the security system. I was charged a different price than what was quoted in my reservation. The manager was supposed to call me but never did. Had to wait at least an hour and a half just to see my storage unit and had to wait another 30 minutes just to speak to another staff member even though I have already waited the hour and a half. I was also put in back of a very long line for no reason when my situation was simple and no work was needed. I had some issues on my move in day. I was assured on Saturday 5/22 that the customer elevators would be in order by Sunday 5/23 which was the day I was moving into my unit with a full apartment of items. On Sunday when I arrived with my full UHaul I also rented there was no working elevator. I asked an employee inside who said "someone was working on it right now." I went back and waited for awhile by the elevators but no one was currently working on it. I finally went back inside and asked that someone operate a freight elevator because I needed to load my things into the unit that day. Finally someone came but it was a pretty big issue and many other customers were trying to move in and out of units so it was difficult to use the elevator and the employee had a hard time keeping up with the various floors people had to go to.Melissa r. | Premières impressions
