THE BEST U-HAUL experience I have ever had. Each time I use them I leave completely satisfied . General Manager is always outstanding and the over all attitude and competency level of everyone on the property makes this franchise stand out head and shoulders above every other. Rental truck was clean and mobile pick up process was easy. However, the mobile return process was a problem. I tried with multiple phones and multiple internet browsers, but the location services page would not work and I could not complete the return process. Fix the return APP so that a client can actually use it to return a vehicle. This is my 2nd rental with the same experience, it does not recognize your location!ROBERT H.
We were pleased with the vehicle overall, the only negative aspect was that it had a very strong smoking smell. Fortunately we drove short distances with windows open. We suggest to have a no smoking policy, as many businesses do nowadays.Jesus H.

Anna Rios was more concerned about getting paid for the rental. Noting the fact the equipment is poorly maintenanced the transmission stopped shifting after 15 minutes of driving, would not exceed 30 MPH. Called roadside and they said they would have a tech come out and his eta was 90 minutes as soon as I got off the phone he arrived 20 minutes later he ended up being on of the workers from oak lawn location not a tech. He asked me to drive the truck so he can see what's going on after I couldn't exceed 30 MPH he tells me to drive it back to the alsip location where I rented it from I said okay but it still wouldn't exceed 30 MPH at the time I arrived at the location the so called tech said there was nothing wrong with the truck (I sincerely hate lier's) they did accommodate me in any way possible I would not recommend this location to anyone for the reason the manager Anna Rios was highly ignorant when she asked me did you drop off the truck I responded YES and asked me did you pay for the rental I responded YES! He final words were "then we are done here have a nice day" that pissed me off to the point of she needs to find a new profession because she rent's out the same 26ft box truck unit number (JH5595K) and that person gets into a wreck because it's not safe to go on the road I honestly believe she would not care for a minute with her attitude she expressed!!!JOSEPH A.
My driver was Rachel and she was amazing. She helped me decide where the ubox would be accessible yet out of the way. So kind and genuine. She worked safely, efficiently and quickly. All in all I had a very positive experience and will use your services againMaria C.

The renters of the truck were supposed to have the vehicle returned in time for our reservation at 1:30. By 4:00, they were still unloading and at that point was too late for us to use the rental. We had to reschedule because of the employees' incompetence and inability to guarantee our reservation that was now almost 3 hours late. The soonest we could reschedule for this truck was 3 days later, Thursday. In all, because the previous renters did not follow the time rules it caused our rental to be delayed by days, cost us extra money, and have an overall extremely poor experience. I will never go through, nor would I recommend this uHaul location again.Todd R.

The drivers on both ends were very friendly and helpful, but the hotline was largely useless. Always was on hold for a long time (sometimes an hour) before reaching a real person, and information relayed to staff was never put on file and the same problem kept occurring again and again. Simply put, THE BEST u-haul experience I have ever had. Always leave the facility totally satisfied with service, cordiality, and professionalism. In particular, the General Manager Diana Rios should be singled out as fantastic resource for your company. I just sold my business but had I not I would have done all in my power to hire her away from you. The first location never called and told me my truck rental wasn't available. Then I finally got through to another location and got another truck. I needed to keep it longer, and called and tried online chat. No one answers. Then I was charged for gas when there was no way I used the amount of gas they claimed. I only drove ten miles. No one answered again when I tried calling about that either. I was charged for 20 $after hours?? Plus another 20 $more for cleaning??? I was supposed to given 50 $rebate for my truck not being available and still haven't gotten that nAMY P.

Diana was wonderful in assisting me in accessing the building, finding my unit and explaining everything. The out of state movers we used were very impressed with the availability of moving carts that made the move of our items seamless. Only problem faced was of my doing. I originally thought my belongings would all fit into a 5x5 unit which I had secured the later part of April. Early morning on the day of the move I thought again about the space and rented another 5x5 unit. Good thing I did as I did require more space. If I had been a little bit more realistic about the space I could have just rented a 5x10 unit. But as I said that was my problem and had nothing to do with Uhaul.Ann W. | Online Move In
Diana was very helpful, personable and friendly as she personally walked me through the storage unit and instructed me on how to gain access to the building and most importantly how to find my storage units. I had originally just rented one unit (5x5) and then the day of furniture delivery rethought the space and decided to rent another unit (5x5). Renting the second unit online was seamless and I was lucky to get the second unit on the same floor and area as the first. The provided moving carts made unloading the moving truck for the movers easy and efficient. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for storage needs. I was recently promoted by the company I work for. Moving up to a new position can be overwhelming. I needed a place where I could park my work truck and plug it in over night, receive orders (packages delivered by UPS) and store everything that I need to store safely and conveniently in temperature controlled environment. The staff here at U-Haul Alsip made me feel welcome. They were friendly and more then accommodating. The whole facility, (from the main building, storage lockers, office and parking lot) ,is well maintained and clean. Facility is well maintained and staff were professional. I was disappointed by two surprises-1) taxes were nearly 20 % and 2) free first month storage promotion does not apply to vehicle/RV storage. I would understand these if I knew upfront when making the reservation online. However, neither of those items were communicated, and in fact, in my confirmation email, my first month balance due was 0 $and my rent payment was 20 % less than what I'm having to pay.
