My only problem was the truck smell like cigarette smoke. Otherwise everything was great. I wish I could remember the clerk who checked me out and back in he has WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS very pleasant, patience and easy to talk with KUDOS to himGWENDOLYN C.

Customer service sucked!! They were super slow and lady working there was clueless. She didn't know how to rent out uhauls so she just stood around for awhile then went to clean bathrooms. It took us 30 mins to get our uhaul when we had a pickup time 30 mins prior. WE NEVER have a good experience at this location. Sadly this is the closest one to us....Robert G.

I was very unhappy with the Altamonte location, it was very unorganized and 2 gentleman that were working we're checking in a lot of trucks and the truck that I got wasn't checked in yet so he had to go check it in to give to me and it was very dirty on the Inside. The cup holders had sticky nasty stuff all inside them. The steering wheel was the same way. I had to clean the truck when I got home so I could use it, with Covid being spread so rapidly the truck should have been cleaned and sanitized between each use! It was completely unacceptable!Shannon Y.
When renting the truck it was very dirty, I was shocked because the guy said he cleaned it and just taking a look you can tell it was obviously not cleaned at all. He came out to wipe down more but I was honestly not satisfied and was not going to wait for another truck being that the location was busy so instead I cleaned the entire truck myself before using it. I was told it had been sanitized but again this could not have been the case at all, as it was literally just disgusting. I returned the truck back with more gas and took time to actually sanitize the truck with Lysol so going forward it's entirely more clean than it was given to myself. Now I know I can't trust the sanitization of the vehicles.LATWIAN F.

When I called about leaving the truck on site, so that I could use my car the employee(s) I spoke with as well as the manager were very unaccommodating. At first the employee suggested leaving it in quote â€œthe dark alley behind the storeâ€. I explained I would prefer to leave it on site, due to the surveillance cameras and my entire apartment being stored inside the truck to which they told me â€œthat's not allowedâ€, even though I worked at U-Haul for several years and let several customers do just that! Other than the truck storage issues everything else was average. The employees I purchased boxes from were incredible though!Nicholas R.

We were impressed with the staff from the very beginning of the rental. The professionalism received from the staff was more than we expected. Mr. Scott was knowledgeable and helpful. He helped us to understand the rental scheduling process and thereby set our expectations. Upon pickup, Mr. Scott helped us select the additional parts needed for the trailer, then hooked it up. We had no issues with the trailer that was used for approximately 500 miles before being returned to this same location. Returning the trailer was easier than expected. The young man that assisted us was both professional and extremely helpful. He assisted with getting the trailer disconnected and placed where it needed to be, all while in the heavy pouring down rain. We felt so bad for this guy getting soaking wet. Please provide rain gear for your staff, a simple poncho would be helpful. The team at this location is outstanding. We were not comfortable with renting and pulling a trailer but this team truly helped make the experience a positive one. Thanks to Mr. Scott and the other young man, we highly recommend this location to our friends and family.Barbara S.
The truck seemed clean although there were gloves we found on the floor. The smell was horrible. Smelled like someone had been smoking for hours inside. Wish you guys would not allow smoking in the vehicles and/or charge someone for cleaning it if they do. We just wore our masks, which helped, but could even smell it on our clothes later.Anne R.

No one seem to know anything. Everyone was okay at different roles but half the time they had to ask each other how to do things. Also how do you not tell a customer if they are sure which truck, go up a size. Running out of room is more hassle. The person who hooked up out auto transport was great. I'm not sure I misunderstood what Ubox had said, or if I was duped. But I felt like they had told me the moving of the boxes at the second location would be free. I was told they were â€œout of rangeâ€ and had to use a 3RD party service which ended up costing me another 700$. Guess I missed the fine print on this one.JARRYD MICHAEL H.
I did the mobile pick up option and while the truck was there none of the stuff that was supposed to be in the truck was in the truck so I had to go inside anyway and wait which made me late for other people that were meeting me and it was about a half an hour of my timeStacy B.

I returned my vehicle after hours and I was not informed that there was a specific process that needed to be done. After I dropped the keys in the Dropbox and looked over my original contract is when I noticed that I would be charged a fee if I didn't drop off the vehicle in a specific wayLEEANN T.
The service was great. The van was ready, all I did was show my ID, sign, sign my name, and pay. I was out the door in less than 15-20 minutes. When I dropped off the van a few hours later Mr Ayala who was very professional asked if I wanted the receipt emailed to me. I asked him for a total, he walked out to the van with me, gave me a total and sent me a receipt via email and I was out the door. In-N-Out just the way I like it. The check in process I did it virtually and it took almost 35 mins before I could pick up the truck. When I went inside the male associate (Steve) said he could not help speed up the process because it would interrupt the review of the agent and I could end up with 2 trucks instead of 1. I was just trying to figure out what was taking so long if doing it virtually is supposed to be faster. I felt like he wasn't helpful or sympathetic about the delay.Lisa L.

Moving in seemed pretty simple. But the move out process was poor. I have used u-haul for many years when I needed to move or store things. I was told on move in and out that there would be a pro rated rent for any time not used for the month. I confirmed the amount on the day we moved out, with 9 days used during that month. After 5 days, I still hadn't received any refund. I called and spoke with the manager and owner of the facility, both saying that it's not possible that I was told that. I am now being told that nothing can be done because it is a nationwide policy for no refunds and yet they are able to rent out the unit I have paid for and have no access to. I contacted corporate and initially was told that it was based on each location's discretion. The customer service representative on the phone at corporate was professional, but was unable to help on her end as the funds would have to be released from the store specifically. A few moments later being told that the policy did indeed change. As someone who has worked in customer service for many years, this company's policy has now cost them my business and anyone else's that I come in contact with. Understaffed. Long line to pickup, mainly because of people renting storage boxes. Took me 5 min to get my equipmentc,c compared to people in front of me renting boxes that took 15-20 min each. Need separate check in of storage boxes.MELVIN H.

I reserved a trailer at a much closer location but was told it had been double booked. This was very inconvenient and cost me a lot of time I was already short on. Hopefully you can improve your reservation process so this does not happen to someone else.Terry G.

Equipment was fine but this location desperately needs more staff. One young person doing everything from checking in customers at the desk and then going outside to hitch-up a trailer and coming back in to deal with hostile customers who have been waiting for 15-30 min. Where is the Manager!!! Mind you this was 8am. I waited 40 min. to pick up my rental and saw 3 people walk out frustrated. Worst part was, a young girl finally strolled out of the office unfazed by the situation. Yelled out, " Next !" Actually, i had to laugh.HO H.

Employees and or anyone especially managers should not take a rental cargo van or any vehicle for that matter and straight rented out to another customer right away upon receiving it from the previous renter without any maintenance or even considering the complaint that the previous renter had about the vehicles alignment. I feel bad for the people renting this after me if they do not fix it it looks like they just rent it to someone right after I returned it and had complained about it for having a issue with alignment or something relatedGEORGE L.
