Not that U-Haul cares, I was in the store for one hour and 10 minutes While people behind me were finishing and leaving the store. First Cashier did not know how to work on the computer and charged my card while there was a very Long Line with only Two Cashier. The second cashier tried and failed and charged my card for SECOND TIME but told me “ the system “ failed. Then Had to do everything Manually and Charged my CARD the THIRD TIME despite of the Reservation I had made online. I had very bad experience. On the phone I was told the rental was for a day but U-Haul employees kept on pushing me and asking me how long it would take to bring it back. I brought it back less that 4 hours. Will Not Rent any longer. U-HAUL is a horrid company who does Not care anything about Service.

1.At the first location she did not tell me i need to lock my box ( she does not know the process) and sent me to other location 2. At the second location they took my box and called me after two days about the lock, which is i had to lock my box 3. He was great who's working at the warehouse in MN, he said i'll lock your box and will send your key by mail to you 4.Been 3 weeks box arrived without key and i went to the store at LA and told to manager and explained the issue 5.But the manager( her last name is Arzu ) was mean! she wanted to charge me to unlock to lock! 6.Also the box was not ready at the store and i wait one hour to pick up 7. They said the gas tank of truck is half but was less then half 8.I gave to box after everything a told me manager will charge me for the lock because i could not cut the key because i had no tool to cut 9.That U haul store was the worst store i've ever seen!!! And employees!!! 10. Also i got my tv as broken which was in the box with a tick blanket!! Thank you

I signed up for the online, no contact pick up. But when I arrived my truck was parked between two trucks and super dusty. I ended up having to go inside anyway where the customers were being taken care of by 3 very busy people. Seems like uhaul could hire a couple other employees so that things can actually be ready for customers in time. Then when my truck was finally “ready” it was all wet on the floor inside. And I was about to go to a storage locker and fill it with a mattress and wood furniture. It needed to be dry (like uhauls usually are when you pick up) I ended getting my truck an hour after it was supposed to be ready for me. I also find it odd that the online system required 3 points of contact from me but when I went inside they only needed 2. There should be more consistency across the policies.

Though this location was great I was not pleased that I was rerouted here because my initial location didn't have my vehicle. The new location was 7 miles out the way. I have not received the 50 reimbursement for a location not having a vehicle. I would definitely like to be compensated as I lost about 2 hours dealing with the change and had to pay more because of the increased mileage.

Renting a truck from U-Haul is easy. You just call, reserve the truck size you need then go pick it up. It's usually waiting for you when you arrive or soon after. They're system works and you're typically in and out if that day isn't busy. Simple and easy returns too. I've moved at least 8 times once on my own and I only rent from them. They also have a great selection of supplies which I've purchased as needed.

Hi Amber, Good morning. Happy New Year! I hope you are doing well and had a good quality time with your loved ones. I am writing to you as I am facing issue with my storage unit when I've reserved with Aijah - checked-in on 12/21/2020. The storage unit that I've wanted in your showroom was 5x10 with long open door from top to bottom that said fit for studio to one bedroom capacity. But then I was given a small door half of my body storage unit number 1355 which quite surprising and they do not have the one I wanted when it was booked reserved couple days before I checked-in, so its quite disappointing because I cannot bring my furniture that time, when I talked to Aijah again it seems there is a system error with the measurement in the system and actual size unit. I was being charged the same price for 5x10 but I've got smaller storage unit which I found that doesn't make any sense. Aijah realized the issue and told me to contacted you regarding this matter. Could you please assist to revise/ fix the pricing in your system accordingly and send me the update contract via email? I look forward to your positive response at your convenience time. The Uhaul agent at the desk was helpful, but sent me outside to look for the cargo van among more than ten other vans. After I went back inside for help, she instructed me to find someone to help outside. After searching for a while, someone helped me to find the van, which was parked behind another van, blocked in. Maybe next time they can be more careful with how they assign rentals, and help the customers to better find the rentals more quickly.

I had rented from a location near me. Got confirmation of location once paid. Showed up on day of rental and place was closed. Called uhaul and was told trailer was delivered to a different location and someone should have contacted me. The trailer was delivered to a location an hour and a half away from me and there were no other trailers in the region. I had to drive all the way to L.A. while people were at my house waiting on me. No one seems to give a shit.

My honest experience: I was incorrectly overcharged for an extra day AND extra mileage by the man that inspects the trucks when you return them. I was told that if i don't use the min. mileage (50 miles) then I'd get reimbursed when my trip is over by the lady that signed me up. He told me I used 20 miles only. Then said to go speak to a manager since he couldn't help me with his mistake. Spoke to the manager and she said she will refund me but haven't heard back yet. Would not recommend to anyone unless you want extra added stress on your moving day.

Shiny new Screws were scattered on the ground right next truck parking lot. I picked up twelve and put them near a bunch of others that had also been dropped. They are still there. Perfect way to get flat tires.

Perhaps a little more information about the return/ check-in procedure to the customer. It's an easy procedure. However just wasn't sure if I needed to demonstrate more with the vehicle's return condition which was excellent by the way. Otherwise, great experience.

Truck was absolutely outside dirty, this include mirrors, which makes it very dangerous to change lanes. I returned for my autoTranspor trailer that evening, mirrors were taken care by the Uhaul rep. My point is, that this moving vans should be ready to go at pick up, specially one way across country rentals. In addition to that I ended up waiting over 1.5 hours do to system being down and is not the first time that I have dealt with it. Not many clients have this time available. UHAUL NEED A PLAN B WHEN THIS HAPPEN. I definitely not a very happy customer when wasting time.

I don't know whose fault it was but I reserved a one way trip from Culver City to Westminster, CA. I was called from the Baldwin Hills location by a very rude woman who told me I could not do a one way trip and instead needed to pick up a truck at Baldwin Hills and drop it off at the same location. I asked her if there were any other LA locations that would let me do a one way trip and she said no. I asked if I would be reimbursed for gas and she said no. She then told me I could get the truck for $115 with 80miles. When I went to check in the girl at the counter had no idea what I was talking about. I was charged full price and was only given 60miles despite my intended destination being much further than that. The manager was no help. The girl at the counter was completely alone with a long line and the manager just stayed hidden in her office. THEN I get a call after we arrived in Westminster from this place asking me what my preferred drop off location was. I explained that I was told I had to bring it back to Baldwin Hills and she tells me that's correct. So I asked why I'm being called about my preferred drop off location and she didn't know. I'm so upset with this entire experience and if I ever need to move again, I'd rather sell all my stuff than rent a u-haul.

I booked the reservation online and still had to go inside and wait and go through the whole renting fiasco. U-HAUL online booking booked the same truck to the guy who came in after me, so I had to get another truck. What should have been quick pickup turned into 45 minute hassle. Mostly due to the computer booking system. The people working were doing their level best.

This location is very good, although they didn't have a piece of equipment I had reserved in advance. The employees were all very helpful and tried their best to help us. The Uhaul mobile system is Terrible!! Technology nightmare! It took three of the helpful staff to get us through the ridiculous mobile process.

Honestly this was my best uhaul experience to date. The staff here was so helpful and just such a great experience. I would actually go here again even though there are closer ones to my home. It would be worth going out of my way to deal with the staff at this location

Has no professionalism what so ever she charged me a 1.00 a mile she was rude and argumentative very combative and during a time when my stress level was already up. I think management training and hiring mystery shoppers might help at this location. A very nice associate who was under trained assisted me. He needed to ask his manager for help several times. When I returned the vehicle the same day within the hours of operation I inquired with the check in associate if anything more was required from me he said,”no”, and off I went. I received the statement showing I owed an extra day. When I told the manager I returned the vehicle the same day she pretty much said there was no proof and she would look into it. After the second request to rectify the charges and again getting no response I contact UHaul corporate customer service and they adjusted the charges. Corporate was very helpful.

Your agent 'Roxie" was extremely professional. Her customers service is outstanding. My last experience with U-HAUL was extremely bad. I expressed my concerns several times but nobody responded. Also I was over charged due to the agent negligence, I called the office, emailed several times but no response. I would appreciate if someone response to issues like this. I am still upset about my last experience.

I was sent to this location after my original booking was canceled within an hour of my reservation time. The original place did nothing to help, and I thought I was in for a fight and a headache. The two people at the Obama Blvd Uhaul location on Saturday 12/4/20 WERE AMAZING!! They were so helpful, so nice and instantly soothed all my worries about the last minute change. 15/10 recommend, especially with the guy and girl that were there to help.

Don't have the customers look for help.The customer service there is horrible. Employee or manager who ever she was did not come out of the office. When I walked in there was no one to greet you, you had to find her in the office sitting down the entire transaction coming and majority when returning. After receiving the truck she stated that if I wasn't able to return the truck but initial return time, to give a call in which I did. I ended up having to pay for 2 days which I don't think was fair and she acted like she didn't believe me even after I showed her on my phone the time that the call was made. I didn't get the employees name that I had spoken to.

Actually have the trucks available on the day of. Me and couple of other people didn't get the trucks we had reserved and had to downsize to a smaller truck. That was an inconvenience and not what was promised. Staff were helpful in accommodating an alternate truck.

I expect to be refunded in full, and reimbursed for the locksmith I had to pay, for the lock that your location left on the vehicle after they told us that it was ready to go (we could not see the back of the vehicle as it was backed in to a spot). Once we arrived at our location 40 mins away, we waited over two and a half hours for Roadside Assistance that never showed up. When I made the reservation, I was also told I would be paid $50 by Uhaul if the truck I reserved was unavailable- and surprise, this is what occurred. I showed up at 2:30 (the time I scheduled for), and intended to use the contactless pick-up option. As I walked up to the vehicle the app assigned to me, someone else drove away in it. UNACCEPTABLE. I then had to wait an hour, indoors, during the pandemic to be assigned another vehicle. I expect to be refunded in full for the rental, and reimbursed for the locksmith I was forced to call - as I was told by the customer service rep I spoke with on Saturday, that I would be. Very very disappointed in Uhaul's customer service. I've been a long time customer and this type of service is insulting.

Make sure that the correct mileage is on the contract before handing the truck off to customers. Ensure that the customer knows not to trust the work of your associates and make sure mileage and contents in the gas tank match whats in the contract. Call customers back when they repeatedly call you about problems they have with contracts. Don't schedule pickups during times that the store isn't open if customers can't pick up equipment unless the store is open. Don't rent out faulty equipment. The tire pressure sensor was broken in the vehicle I rented causing the tire pressure sensor warn for low tire pressure. When I brought this up to an associate, she told me it was a sensor issue and not due to an actual low pressure issue. However by the end of the day, the rear passenger side tire was almost flat. This was the worst U-Haul experience I've ever had. I'll be doing all I can to never use your services again.

We reserved a truck for 7am using mobile pickup. It didn't work, the phone lines had us waiting for an hour. They couldn't help us and told us to wait for them to open at 9am. When we finally got help, their excuse was "oh we're not doing 24/7 pickup". We didn't get a truck until 9:45am. We were operating on a schedule, and the near three hour delay cost us hundreds of dollars in various ways. I will avoid U-HAUL like the plague going forward. Oh and we found an open tube of toothpaste in the cargo bay. Gross.

We were frazzled & frustrated when we walked into U-Haul (moving has a way of doing that to you.) We were greeted and assisted by U-Haul rep Amber. She was calm and knowledgeable. Her friendly demeanor put us at ease. We secured a truck and walked out in a better mood than when we came in. In our world's current climate, we sure wish there were more Ambers in customer service positions. Thank you U-Haul for recognizing amazing employees.

Literally was the absolute worst experience i've ever had at any Uhaul across the country. I showed up to pick up my rental and the guy didn't put in the correct return time, so I was charged incorrectly. The truck was parked in between two others and I sat on the lot for 45 mins waiting on someone to move the other truck so I could leave. The guy was the only one working. There were others there, but they were all hanging out laughing with the Manager in the little corner office. Get a phone call the next day and discover that the guy had entered the incorrect return time, yet the Manager (she said her name was Amber) wouldn't correct it. I asked to speak with her Supervisor and she put me on hold and never got back to me. When I returned it (2pm), I was not given a receipt or anything. I feel like they just wanted to charge me for more time. I asked for a Manager, but the big african american lady said that there wasn't one working. I'd like a full refund for this terrible ordeal.

Mary and Asia were very polite, helpful and professional. When I reserved, it was for a truck off Venice, and it was 6:30. When I received confirmation It was a different. That was okay. But when I drove over there, it didn't open till 7. Based on how much time I reserved the truck (6 hours), I still had to bring it back at 12:30. It made it a really tight schedule

Uhaul in 5630 venice blvd wasn't professional. I had booked from one weeks (Oct 23 ) and i calked for make sure the van is ok for Oct 30 , 9:00 am. I really disappointed when i got there ( in venice ) they said they don't have van cargo they asked me sent to uhaul in obama. I got cargo van in uhaul Obama but i asked associate when i returned the car i told them i finished and they told somebody will checksnd put the van in return place. I was waiting until 30 minute no one there to check. I get inside and asked again no body check , i don't have time. They told me you can put in the key box. This is most unprofesional !!!! Waste my time !!!! Even in Venice and Obama

The Manager and staff provided me with Excellent service over my almost two year Rental. Great price, convenient payment methods, professional representative's and a secure well maintained facility. The Obama Street/Baldwin Hills facility to me is one of the Best Uhaul locations.

Mary was overwhelmed and lacked to show good customer service while moving in. We were rented a unit that was full, but was told was available. When I informed Mary of this, she stated to me she was busy and she would address me when possible. I was frustrated, upset, but the associate in the back came to the rental center to assist me. Mary seen the attendant helping me to the best of his ability and finally helped. The alarm went off 3 times and it took us 2 hours to move in. All in all it was a bad experience, the GM Amber was concerned with leaving the premise more so than helping customers on a busy day. Amber left her car parked in the middle of the driveway and got out of her car to walk back in the office. Amber could of help, but elected not to. It was a horrible experience, but me and Mary were able to rectify the situation. I just feel bad for those whom these personals will offend in the future. I hope they get their customer service abilities together.

I had no issues with any Uhaul staff members, but I am having continuous problems with your internal system. I rented a truck and storage unit and your system has given me issues with both rentals. I paid $510 to rent the truck which is what I agreed to, however after dropping off the truck, they charged me an additional $660 which I did not agree to. Now the $1200 has been taken out of my account and no one is helping me get my $660 back. Please I need this money back ASAP

The entire experience starting in Kansas City was terrible. We went in to pick up our truck and were looked at by employees and not greeted or acknowledged at all. The truck was very dirty on the inside. We went to return it in Los Angeles and again were not greeted when returning. I pulled the truck up where it said to and there was a worker doing something to the truck in front of us. Looked at me then looked away. I went inside to initiate the return and again was ignored. I had to go up to her after standing along (and was noticed) and ask her to start my return. She says you just pull the truck up where the sign says. I did I did. She got on a walkie talkie and told someone that I had just pulled up the truck. He said yes I know, I’m in it now. Would have been nice to be acknowledged by him that he was going to be there soon. I went back a few days later to take advantage of the offer for a storage unit. My car was full of things to store there. I had a great experience over the phone when I reserved it, he was great and helpful. However that changed when I got to the location. I walked in to find out which unit was mine. She was on the phone so I waited. She got off the phone and I stood there for a few minutes without being acknowledged, yet again. She asked how she could help and I told her why I was there. She said just use the app. I said okay thanks. The app was trying to charge me the full amount so I went back in because the month was supposed to be free. She then had another phone call but did acknowledge me when she hung up. I told her the situation and she told me I’d have to wait a bit because she had to go do something with a forklift. I waited over 30 minutes inside with her nowhere to be found. Someone that worked there came in on their day off and saw three of us standing there. She asked where the lady was. I said she said something about using a forklift. She responded back that oh she must be super busy then. She then logged on the computer on her day off to help us out. Fifteen minutes later I was able to head over and store my stuff. So after 45 min of that lady knowing I was still in there not being helped, she never came in and I never saw her again. Terrible terrible experience for an already stressful situation moving across country. Especially when it cost $2,000 and received horrible customer service.

I have been given the run-around. I picked up the truck which had no gas. They never credited my card back for return. They misled me on storage so I had to pay for storage! Call phone support and the contradict what I was told. Keep trying to contact Garland, TX office but no return call.
