Terrible customer service. Employees side chatter and don't offer help. My truck was buried behind another one. Truck smelled like marijuana. Dirty truck with food wrappers everywhere inside. Fuel gauge is faulty and goes up and down.Gabriel B.

I knew there is a problem with my rental, when I returned I told the guy that I wanna my receipt and he said to wait for an email. So, now I'm wasting my time to get a refund that could be avoided. I took pictures of the odometer reading and there is the proof that I get the car with half tank, just the way I returned, besides that, the miles was 1 mile different(miles out 4655). Why you guys ask us(customers) to take pictures if you guys don't follow that? Doesn't make sense at all! Anyway, can you please reimburse me from the gas that is being charged and also the extra mile. Besides that I'm sending a pictures of the contract that is another proof of this mistake that the location did in my order. The location is good to pick up the trucks. It would be better if we are informed ahead of time that the process of picking up the uHaul would take 20-30 min. As that might save us time. The attending person while return was not very helpful in providing all the info needed.RAJESH K.

I've been falsely accused of putting a dent in a uhaul rental. When I picked the truck up the dent was already on the equipmentstacey M.
One small change would be to greet your incoming customers a bit kindlier. Customers renting a "convenient truck" are already under stress and a little smile can make the morning a great start. I had to confirm my pickup multiple times to a different location- where ultimately the uhaul team never called to confirm. Then 2 hours before my scheduled pickup time I had to go through all the customer service channels twice in order to be given a new truck. Then the truck that we get when we arrive is the only one left and is on empty gas tank and is supposed to be out of service for a tire change. They reinstate it for us because it's the only truck available. Overall a very inefficient process.KELSEY W.

The driver and passenger cab area had a strong urine smell potentially from a dog because of lots of dog's hair/far clearly visible. Gas tank was below 1/4. Cargo area had more than six strewed moving pads. Had to fold and pack them in one corner first before I could do my moving. I would recommend this site to a friend because I have not experienced any issue(s) in the pastPeter K.

There is no place to park when you pick up the truck. U haul should make arrangements with the mall next door to park your car while you have a truck, presently the staff tell you to park next door but there are tow away signs which made me nervous.Avi B.

I rented a 15ft truck for moving my friend's stuff to the goodwill and to other forever homes after her passing. Upon returning the vehicle today, the traffic on LaBrea was diverted causing a serious bottleneck. I contacted UHaul to report that I needed to use the vehicle a little longer as I was not going to make the 3PM return time. I was transferred to the supervisor and she granted an additinal 1,45 hours. She told me that she will put it in the computer. Look things happen but when I returned the truck about 4: 05PM, I was told that I will receive my final bill to the email address on file. I contemplated a little and walked back inside and asked to have my bill completed. The male counter assistant walked to my truck, got the mileage and gas use and then printed my bill. I was charged for two days. I asked him to call his supervisor and he said that she has left and he cannot correct the bill. He said that I have to come in Monday to speak with the supervisor. Look, things happen and people forget but the employees not being able to reach a supervisor is un-settleing. Not happy about how lackadaisical the counter attendant was, but not rude.Jennifer S.
My UBox arrived several days late in LA. Additionally, it was not eligible for home delivery as I was told when I made the I initial purchase; thus I was told I would have to drive it to my home myself. When I arrived at the LA location my UBox was supposed to be shipped to, I was told the UBox had been sent to a different location much further away from my home, and I was responsible for going to pick it up there. This was very frustrating, as the person who helped me reserve a truck to pick up the UBox did not communicate any of this ahead of time. The UHaul personnel were all very friendly, and I appreciated them doing their best in the situation. However my overall experience with UHaul was extremely disappointing, and I would appreciate a representative reaching out to me about the problems I experienced.MATTHEW S.

Only one employee who was gone for at least 20 minutes when I was picking up. Just strolled in like he couldn't be bothered. The store was completely unsupervised. I'm shocked someone hasn't robbed the place. When I returned the truck, saw him in the parking lot and he told me to leave the keys on the desk as he was walking down the street off the property. I had a storage at this location for about about a year and a half, what i like most was its location is convenient, the access hours gave me plenty of hours for me to handle my business, and the General Manger, Amber Arzu, is the best in the business! The cargo van was dirty inside when picked up. Also they slipped in a 25 $collision damage waiver (CDW) charge that I DECL after the van was returned that I DECLINED! They had no record of my reservation after showing them the reservation number. They said it was a â€˜corporate' reservation and they didn't have it and there were no trucks available. The traffic management people were very helpful and found a truck at the location and another one within 10 mi. I had received an email that my location was switched 15 minutes before the reservation to a location an hour away from me which not only took up the entire day to drive to and from locations but also costed me 3x as much money as the mileage was significantly more than I had originally planned for. When my location was switched they also switched my pick up time and drop off from 11:30 - 3:30 to 11:00 - 3:00. This was a large financial inconvenience as well as time inconvenience as I was unable to go to work due to all of these factors.Dylan G.

Terrible experience. You made me drive 10 miles to pick up trailer with a dirty truck exterior and you broken websire did not allow uploading pictures. Then Upon confirmation of the return I got a phone call to changed location and I had to drive another 10 miles and pay for extra gas myself. Up on return I was chaged 21 $+ for extra mileage I had to pay at night being dead tired I had no option to release the vehicle at night. I was told by your representative on a recorded line would not be charged and will be added to my package. Horrible experience and I am going after my money. We accidently left a storage key in the cup holder. The truck had been turned around to another customer. The team was instrumental in finding the key and holding for us for pick. Awful experience renting here. I came in on 8/24 to rent a unit. I signed an agreement and was given a unit. Upon leaving I told the Gen Mgr Amber and staff that I would be back in 2 weeks to move my things in. After coming back two weeks later after closing my old storage unit and with a fully loads truck the staff couldn't find me in the system at all. After going round and round with the staff they found old that my unit was given away to someone else per Amber. How could this happen and think this was an ethical way of doing business? It literally makes no sense at all. Not only was I not notified or told that my unit was being given away for no reason but I had to wait over an hour to try and another unit which they tried to charge me more! The nerve! I was finally given another unit but the professionalism of this mgr is just awful. On a side note the inside of the building and actual storage unit is nice. At this location the staff is always away from the front desk. I came to that place several times where there was no representation in sight. I had to wait patiently for perhaps 30 minutes and a representative strolled out of the restroom, unapologetically. In addition, last week I had to rent a van to take my things out of the warehouse and the representative was extremely rude to me. This guy was African-American. One service took him about 40 minutes to question me, call my references and take a picture of me with his iPhone device. I sensed a great deal of distrust from him. I explained to him.. What does he expect me to do with a whole van I am not renting this to joy ride what do I look like. He was very rude to me he didn't make me feel like it was ok to rent & he was going to give me the best service because that wasn't the case. He made me feel as if I was a criminal! Eventually, I was able to lease the truck.. I used the van for approximately two hours and returned it that night. I put the keys in the key deposit box neatly and securely. But two days later the manager "April" called me and said they didn't see the key. I told her you had to check the cameras because the truck is here and I no longer have the truck. She was rude and clearly stated that she did not believe me. I asked her, "Isn't the truck here?" She says people do this all the time, park the truck and take it out again. I told her I have no use for the truck any longer. She said she'd check the cameras and give me a call. She still hasn't called me back. That location ghetto and they racially profiled me. What's crazy to me is they're all African-American. Disgusting & despicable. It seems to me they're trying to sabotage my reservation. I highly recommend Uhaul if Baldwin Hills Storage. There are only 2 things that could improve. 1. Many return trucks and vans block access to the storage. I was under the impression when I rented on line that my 5' x 10' storage was 10 feet DEEP. When we got our locker and found it was 10 feet high there was no way we were able to fit all of our material into it. We had to rent another 5 x 5 x 7 unit to accommodate all of ur goods. That has almost doubled the cost that we were expecting to pay. That part of the experience was very disappointing. The GM that helped us was EXCELLENT at her job.
