The reservation i made well in advance of the only large side unit available was given to someone else by the time I checked in. I was left with zero solutions and the manager has yet to tech out to me, even after I filed a complaint. In the middle of the worst natural disaster Los Angeles had ever seen. How do you just give away someone else's reservation? Baldwin Hills UHaul will find a way! Worst location ever. You're better off going to Arapaho Uhaul that has a broken elevator and a roach problem.

The mileage and the gas wasn't accurate, the mileage was off by one mile upon receiving the car, and the gas gauge was a little lower than I was told by the person in charge. I went back to inform them, I just didn't want to go back in line for a couple of dollars and west my time, I believe it was intentional and needed to be noted. Thanks

I chose this location because of the great reviews and they did not disappoint! I rented a 9' cargo van. Freddy helped me and was so efficient, I was in and out in under 30 minutes. Freddy and Andrew had great customer service! I told Andrew that I would be a little late and he was so helpful and rescheduled me for a later pick up time. Merci les gars!

It was okay but When we made the reservation for the truck we placed an order for a moving cart but when we picked the truck up they didn't have one for us. The attitude from the sales people was at best indifferent and that was discerning to us. Beyond that everything else was fine. The truck was clean and it drive well with no problems.

Very poor customer service. Worst experience I have ever had. The attendant outside the building was extremely rude and very unhelpful. He was on the phone with a friend when I was trying to ask a question. When I asked a question about the vehicle, he was immediately annoyed by my simple question and refused to provide a helpful answer. Additionally, at this location, I had asked for extra equipment (such as a dolly) and it was unavailable.

Please train your customer service rep to inform your clients how to drop the key off after hours- Let them know that if it's not done correctly they are charged $20. When I rented a van a week ago I had a few issues with clearing the account before I could drop the key in the box. But after hours agent that I had to call was very helpful to help me resolve my issue.

The staff was not attentive. The first day I told them handle on my unit was broken after the employee told me to meet him out back and I parked in wrong place. The employee just stood in place and watched me and did not direct me. I mentioned the broken handle again later the same week Came back 2 weeks later and told them again. Day of my move out still broken. On same day employee told me I had to take photos of my unit before moving out. I immediately went upstairs took photos came to door and no one answered. I had to walk around to the entire building and when I came back two employees were behind the desk. There should be more flat dollies there is only one. That made my move even more difficult.

Rude manager. After driving a total piece of junk for 12 hours I really didn't appreciate her or her unhelpful staff. I unhitched the trailer and parked it. They didn't have time for me yet there were no customers in the office or outside. They are lazy and rude. Overall a really bad experience. I'm probably going to buy a trailer next time instead of renting one. Totally worthless experience.

Again, the automation made things difficult. I was there at around 3pm on a Saturday, so there's no reason that someone shouldn't be present to help out. As mentioned before, because of the mix-up at pickup, I was forced to lie about the miles and truck number on check in, and I have no idea if this even got resolved.

The employee was not clear he just told me to meet him in the back. The parking is awkward in a tight space. He just stood there when i pulled into wrong area. He also didn't tell me there was a lock already on the door just recommended I buy silver one. The lock on the door doesn't even have a key. When we got upstairs he also didn't know where my unit was and we walked much further than necessary basically in a circle. Why didnt he take the map with him? There are far too many mattress carts. Only ONE with a flatbed. He said the other one was stolen.Why not replace it with others instead of inconveniencing everyone?? I had to do multiple trips due to this fact. I am not even storing a mattress! This is a huge nationwide business! He also didn't know if there was a unit without a pillar and we went all the way downstairs for him to tell me this. Time is money and mine was not respected.

Wait time too long need to hire more employees for front desk. Employee Keisha provided excellent customer service, she was friendly, knowledgeable about uhaul equipment & billing, even though I called her several times to discuss my bill. Employees need to make sure customers know what time to return trucks so they don't get additional charges.

Fuel surcharge was incorrect. Did not have time to argue. Was told it was a 1/4 tank at checkout. But was actually an 1/8 . Refilled it to level I picked it up with. Surcharge for topping off is not acceptable. Not the staffs fault.

Major issues with locks causing no access for over 6 weeks because the manager had to remove lock. However it didn't get done even with my following up causing me to lose months of revenue that had a snowball effect on my finances and business. Also had to get additional storage to store because of no access causing a bigger financial issue for me. Always a wait to get assistance in office many times waiting over an hour. More wait time if staff is needed in the storage facility. Originally the customer service was good even with the long wait times. Staff was replaced with 2 very rude and unhelpful employees while the others were okay. One of the rude employees was suppose to help several times an each time he left saying he'd be back only to have me waiting while he went off to lunch etc. The new manager, Andrew did attempt to assist but the lack of follow through from before and appuyat

The Manager of the store was fantastic and really knew his stuff. The Vehicle was a piece of junk. Transmission is about ready to go. Doors did not fully shut all the time, the charging port in the truck did not work. And after one day of driving a tire was flat.

Staff was very friendly, but that was about it. That's the only reason I'm giving this below average, beyond that it was a terrible experience. The truck cab smelled like urine. We were already running late with the truck because I was re-routed from another self-serve location to a truck that was parked but had not key available, so they had me go to Baldwin Hills. Again, nice staff, but we grabbed the truck and headed out. I had requested the half-dozen free pads. I guess I assumed they'd be in the back so we drove off. About 20 minutes into the ride I heard banging in the back. We pulled over and opened up the back. The handtruck was loose and was rolling around, slamming into the walls. There were also NO pads but they thankfully left plenty of trash for us to clean up. I had to drive 5 miles out of my way to get pads so now I'm paying extra for mileage. Definitely asking to get a refund on that. What should have taken 2 hours to get the truck, pickup my goods, drop at home and return the truck...took 4, which included rerouting to a second Uhaul right next to home from my first location, and then going to a third Uhaul to get blankets that should have been provided.

The manager, Andrew Harries made my overall experience very horrible. The other staff were professional except for Andrew Harries. He over charged me claiming he had to increase my storage unit rent for security purposes and then burglarized my storage unit to destroy and steal my belongings. He was always stalking me when I came to my storage unit with the facility cameras and an amplifier always upsetting me with his unprofessional and criminal behavior. He made my experience with Uhaul very poor. The day I moved out he had mattress carts only out. Ridiculous. I couldn't clean out my storage unit because he only had mattresses carts out. And I didn't have no mattress or nothing shaped like a mattress. I advise due to his ridiculous thinking his superiors need to make him clean out my storage unit since he was the cause of me not being able to clean out my storage unit or anybody else's because I saw a lot of other customers with their stuff that they didn't want in front their old storage unit too. Don't make the other staff do it make the unprofessional Andrew Harries do it. He was a horrible manager and should have not ever been a manager. Y'all keep him as a manager he is going to give y'all a bad reputation and drive your business into the mud.

I completed my move-in by phone in advance of arrival in order to secure the unit; I have not had a visual inspection directly however I expect the facility to be clean and well maintained based upon past experience at another U-Haul location. I spoke with the manager, Andrew Harries at this location in Baldwin Hills who was extremely helpful, professional, and courteous. He provided excellent advice and options available. He was very accommodating and respectful as well.

Staff member was very rude when I asked him about the unit size I was purchasing and made the transaction unnecessarily difficult and confusing. I also had a unit that was supposed to be reserve for me for 7 days but when I came in to pay it was instead sold. Wound up having to get a smaller space because of this.

I reserved a 5x7x10 space 3 weeks ago. When I arrived I was informed that they didn't have that size or bigger, only smaller 5x5x10. What's the point of a reservation if you don't save that sized unit for the selected move in date?

The Uhaul located on 1836 Arapahoe st LA CA 90006 has had the elevator down since October 2023. Walk in mid January thinking it should be fixed by now, but they were still down. Had to get a storage unit further away with a higher rates because of this. Poor experience

The prices are way too expensive. The staff working on the weekend were unprofessional- they were talking about personal issues while taking extremely too long to help customers. One employee had personal hygiene that was so bad their nails were caked with dirt underneath and left a greasy thumbprint on my credit card. They asked me to walk all the back to my unit to take photos using my personal phone and then walk back and show them the photos before terminating the lease of my unit.

Initially it was a bit frustrating because there was a lock already on the space preventing access. However the phone representative was able to contact the general manager Andrew Harries. Mr Harries arrived, he was kind helpful and immediately resolved the issue. I was so very grateful for Mr. Harry's quick response. Thank U, Mr Harries!

I went to rent a truck and storage space. I specifically ASKED if there was special on their storage. The man said no they don't really offer any. THATS B*LLSH*T. Once I was inside the rental truck I read a sign saying FIRST MONTH FREE ON 1 WAY MOVE!! So I could've saved $135 had he told me that!!!! I could've driven up to where my stuff was, rented a uhaul for one way and saved a month's rent. **** that guy. I hope karma is real.
