TRACY E | Online Move InWorst moving experience of my life, and I will never use U-Haul again. I showed up to pick up my reserved moving truck and it was not there. I had professional movers hired and waiting, and I was then sent to another U-Haul location 20 minutes in the opposite direction just to get a truck. Every minute of that detour cost me extra money out of my own pocket because U-Haul could not honor a confirmed reservation at the location I booked. We then drove to the storage facility only to find out my reserved storage unit was also not available. They offered to split my belongings into two separate units at the same price I originally agreed to. I had no choice but to accept it, mid-move, with movers still on the clock. I came home to find they are now charging me full price for each unit individually, which is completely different from what was promised to my face. So now I have to make another trip back to fix their billing mistake on top of everything else. Three failures in one day: no truck at my location, no storage unit, and an unauthorized double charge. I was sent 20 minutes out of my way, lied to, overcharged, and left to cover the financial damage of their disorganization while paying movers to wait. I will be contacting corporate and disputing these charges directly. U-Haul will be making this right, one way or another.
