Danton is was less than helpful when we moved out. He said he couldn't provide mile info about our Truck because we didn't book it through him and he couldn't help us with a Storage location at our destination because… some system mom bought jumbo reason. He definitely had a different demeanor from when we checked in a storage unit. The person employed (female) by Uhaul was in the parking lot when I arrived. There was no indication by her plain shirt, and no badge, that she was the employee. She was talking to another customer. No one was in the office, so I was looking for a key drop box. She walked up behind me and screamed in a very rude tone. Our conversation, word-for-word: Uhaul: YOU returning a TRUCK!?! Me: yes, I am. Uhaul: Did you â€œbotherâ€ to fuel the truck!?! Me: of course, yes. Uhaul: YOU can leave! Me: Thank you for your kindness She looked at me with a mean, and unprofessional look and appeared to be rude to all (6-7 people) in the parking lot. She is not a good representative for Uhaul. I dropped the truck & auto transport off on 14JUN at 3pm & received a receipt today saying the truck was dropped off today around 1pm. I returned my truck after hours so i used the website to process my return. The website kept telling me that the mileage i was entering was less than when I took the truck. I checked the mileage against the contract when i left and everything was correct. I also triple checked when I returned the truck and it was about 32 miles more than when i got it. I sat on the phone with customer service for about 40 minutes and the only resolution they could give me was to takes pics and call first thing in the morning to ensure I wasn't charged for another day. Of course after spending my entire day moving i was pooped the next day and forgot all about it. Sure enough i was charged, so now i have to call and plead my case to get my money back. Biggest inconvenience ever because your system was messed up. Last time I'll use Uhaul. I'll pay extra with the other guys who get it right.Shannon K.

Turning in was easy. Too easy. The guy just took the key and said "thanks". Did not check the truck and took my word that the gas tank was full (which it was). Turn in time was literally 10 seconds. This worked for me and will for whoever rented the truck after me as I took care of what I was supposed to (full gas tank, swept the cargo area, folded all of the blankets). I'll turn in to this location, but would NEVER rent from it. I'd be afraid the truck wasn't checked and I'd be left holding the bag.DOUGLAS B.

I was one day late getting the 5 x 8 enclosed trailer back to this facility, I was not able to contact anyone on the telephone, the phone system is ridiculous hold times and too many recordings , in my opinion UHAUL needs to really improve on the phone system, the hold times are excessive ............. I was supposed to be charged only 20 $for the extra day plus 8 $for the extra day insurance ............. I got a bill against my credit card for 63 $of which I am not happy to see this, trying to call UHAUL is ridiculous to reconcile this charge so I will have to make a personal stop over to the facility where I dropped off the trailer and try to hammer out the issue of the excessive extra day charges .............. I was told it would cost around 33 $dollars to rent the truck and it was back in an hr but my account shows it was debited for 112,59 $ and even a 2nd charge was on there for 96,54 $... Very poor customer service. I arrived at 4:45 on a Sunday to return the tow dolly. I was told by Desiree they were closed. I said they were supposed to be open until 5:00. She said her manager tells her to close early. I asked if I could just drop it off and she said no. She said another location accepted after hours trailer returns. I drove over there and at 5:02 everyone was gone and there was no information about after hours trailer returns. I took it back to the original location on Monday morning and the rep was courteous and helpful. In all, I wasted 45 minutes of my time and had to keep the dolly overnight and return during work hours.John B.

We had already moved out of the facility and two weeks after we were out we got a message that we were still renting the storage unit. We had to go back to the facility and once again get the staff to close the account. The young lady was not really helpful when I first arrived.I asked were any small uhauls available and her response was NO.I seen many parked out front so I then asked were all of the uhauls reserved already,she responded yes.So I called Uhaul customer service and asked the representative to assist me in locating a small truck.I told her I was sitting in front of UHAUL at 733 99 Us64 and could she locate me one nearby.She said sure there is one where you are right now.My face dropped ! I had a 6 p.m. reservation to pick up a trailer. I chose 6 p.m. because I work 35 minutes away from home and know it would be cutting it close to get home from work. Ended up running a bit late getting home due to having to settle things at work before going out of town, and traffic. Got home at 6:30. Husband went right over to pick up trailer. Arrived at 6:40. Shop hours are until 7:00 p.m. Girl said they were closed and refused to give him the trailer. Said she didn't care, her boss said she could close early. When we called U-haul for a supervisor we were told it was our fault for not being there BY 6:00 p.m.. Had to pick up trailer at 7 in the morning, load up that morning and be over 3 hours late getting where I needed to be. When I arrived, the gal first told me "I need you to move your car!" (No please or pleasant greeting or request). In fact the whole transaction she was not friendly and rather rude. All employees at this location tend to be rude and act like they are doing you a favor. GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE would have been to call the customer with the reservation to see if they are still coming in. You don't just decide to close early and refuse to serve a customer who it standing in front of you.Cynthia B.

I would like to state the truth and the whole truth. Upon arriving, my wife met Dantonio, the manager of the facility, who was EXTREMELY HELPFUL! His service was quite pleasant and beyond exceptional. He went above and beyond to take care of my wife's concern's regarding hours which would accommodate our move, etc. -Just overall a great guy. Therefore, Dantonio should be exempt from this rating. The grounds were clean but the facility itself is really very old and honestly, out of 43 times of having to move, relocate, store items due to being a commander in the military, we have never seen an older facility. The positive side is, however, we have never visited a storage facility that had a unit so large. Maybe the unit size is normal but it surely works well for our needs. Now, I will proceed in telling you what our issues have been. Upon returning the truck, my wife received a telephone call from a young lady at the facility who, upon my wife answering, jumped down her throat (verbally), and alleged that we had smoked in the rental truck. My wife tried and tried to explain to the employee that she doesn't smoke, nor do I. Even more, my wive's father, who drove the truck, has medical conditions that would never allow smoke. We aren't sure if the cigarette butts were from the previous driver and city, but we are certain that neither of the three of us left cigarette butts in the vehicle. We cleaned the truck and refueled the truck. We were also under the mileage allowed to us, by approximately 45 miles. The employee informed my wife that she had been attempting to run our card (before speaking with us and ever allowing us an opportunity to hear her concerns or express our rebuttal). Luckily for us, Bank of America was quick to identify the duplicate attempts and block all charges. The employee stated that we had gone over our miles, but upon calling customer service, the agent clearly stated on U-Hauls recorded line that we were under our miles allowed, as I had informed the employee at the location. The employee also falsified information on our account that we had not refueled the truck. We hold fuels cards with two different well known gas stations and their both active with available credit. We fueled the truck up and returned the vehicle. Here's the thing: While the truck was being returned, the "same employee" never mentioned we were below the fuel. She walked around the truck with our person. She never found cigarette butts while in our presence, so honestly, I feel as if we are being manipulated. This isn't how you treat your customers, especially ones who have always used your services and who have..., might I add, never had problems with any other U-Hual location in the past. It surely isn't how you treat an active duty military family who has been pulled here and there, around the world, to fight for the good people of this country. My wife called customer service but still, we are receiving text messages that we have an outstanding balance at the location. We turned the truck in early and after we heard from the location, we called both the location and customer service and requested to go back to the location and clean these alleged butts. However, we never received a call back. A few days later, we received notification, via email, that we now have an outstanding balance at the location. This incident might end decades of us renting with U-Haul. We will consider Budget during our next move.
