The storage facility was always clean the staff was helpful the washrooms were clean the donation area is a good idea because donated and saw people immediately take the items for there kids. I also gained new things for myself that others donated.

I rented a 5 x 9 trailer. In fact the trailer was 4 foot 3" x 8'! Kind of deceiving to the customer that didn't show up with a measuring tape to confirm. Wasn't told by the staff that it was an actual different measurement, and they seem kind of shocked when I told them. No, I did find on the website description of the trailer yet it differed slightly from the sticker on the trailer. I rent trailers on the regular from U-Haul and this is the first time I ran into an issue. It would be better to tell the customers the trailer is smaller than it needs to tell them it's bigger thinking they can fit items in it when in fact, they can't.

I was not happy with my rental at all. I was told upon pickup that the fuel gauge was just a touch below full. This was not exactly the case. When I fueled up the truck, it cost me over $40 to fill the tank. I only drive 25km and half of that was with an empty truck! I didn't move the fuel gauge needle more than a quarter tank. My receipt proves that. There is no way that 25km cost me $40 in fuel. The fuel gauge was absolutley not accurate. When I told the attendant, he said that's just too bad! He didn't even try to address the situation and he certainly wasn't bothered. I won't be back and i certainly won't recomend it to anyone. Shoddy and unprofessional.

Picked up vehicle after hours. Lock box was difficult to open and the key inside was jammed. Took a lot of effort to free key.

We had the uhaul for business for over 4 days on a company account and we have used uhaul multiple times in the past and always our first call when it comes to an extra truck. We drive over 300kms a day, it would have been nice to have uhaul work with a small business in a tight time and at least give a small break on kms. They used to do that for us in the past. I wasn't very happy about that and honestly, it kinda changed my opinion of uhaul when it comes to having a valued and loyal customer.

I needed a truck with a 15 foot bed. I was extremely specific about this during booking (check the tape), and the associate assured me the bed was 15 feet. Turned out it was only 12 feet. There was no 20 foot available and I was forced to take the 15 which resulted in me having to physically damage my cargo to fit. Very disappointed. Your advertizing and website is misleading on purpose.

Excellent, clean and well maintained storage facility. Convenient hours, parking, loading and unloading areas and equipment. Co-located with van and truck rental and packing supplies. Great when you need secure extra storage you can trust.

I had a disappointing experience with this truck rental. The fuel consumption was extremely high, and the fuel gauge was inaccurate, showing less than what it actually had. For a short trip of just 13 kilometers and an hour and a half of use, I ended up paying $70, which I find outrageously expensive. I am very dissatisfied with the cost and will definitely not be renting a truck from this service again.

I went into the uhaul location in person booked a uhaul. Later that day I had to change my request for an earlier pickup after hours. The employee did call me back three times as he was trying to navigate this change. He was very friendly but needed support from the manager. I arrived to pick up my uhaul after hours only to be told my reservation couldn't support this. I called and spoke with a support person who was able to correct it stating that I actually didn't even have a reservation or a truck. He apologized and then said that $50 would be charged to my credit card for the inconvenience. I questioned this and he said no it's not a credit no it's not a refund and then said he wasn't sure how to explain it more clearly. Although friendly and did create the reservation I am still not sure what is being applied to my credit card. The Bluewater location needs to support its employees more to ensure they understand how to complete reservations. The support line needs new wording on what is being applied to my credit card?

The only issue was when I removed the autopay when we decided to terminate the lease , I was charged for the next month and a late fee . however it was reversed right away but because it took the payment off of my card a payment for another bill went thru and then it was returned as NSF and I was charged a NSF fee.

The parking doesn't accommodate a 20' truck very well. I'm glad there wasn't another one there - all the spaces were available but I had to park along the spaces

The truck was a piece of shit, never was able to reach 60km without it shaking. I am a retired truck driver of 30yrs so I have driven a lot of different vehicles.

The radio was broken in the truck. A small but HUGELY annoying issue. Fix the radio! I asked for a discount but the attendant said no. The radio was not mentioned when I drove away. I found it when I turned it on, or tried to turn it on, a few minutes down the road.

Rhonda was so great to work with for making the reservation and during drop off. She was happy to help book the reservation and to make modifications as our plans changed. The counter staff was helpful with our pick up and informative on the km allowances. We were in and out with no issues and quickly on the road. We will definitely use the truck rental service next time we are in Halifax.

No problems with the location. Staff was very helpful. My problem lies with the reservation process. I booked a 5x9 open cargo trailer with ramp and was confirmed. However only a 4x8 enclosed trailer was available for the rental. This made loading difficult for 2 6ft+ people and meant that we could not move the entire intended load. Some item had to be left behind as the would Not fit. Prioritizing the things to be moved was the only way to do this job. Now we are still left with materials to be moved at added expense

The app was very slow and crashed during the return experience. I reopened the app to finish checking out and my recent active rental was gone so I couldn't or get the code to store the keys (I placed in the generic lock box). The app made the experience poor.

The customer service agent was extremely rude, kept taking phone calls and I waited 40mins in the chair in front of him. I finally said out the call on hold this is rude. He was talking to someone the entire time in his language and this was un called for. Then I got the truck 1/4 gas and left it over half when returned and he said nope you lost out because they don't credited gas anymore. I was furious. Girwinder or smiliar was his name, then I forgot my wallet in it and called him 20 mins later to tell him and he said nope I rented it out and then gave me the renters phone number and address !!!! I was like confidential or what, I told the lady that rented the truck too. Unreal.

This was new experience for me. I wasn't sure how long I would be storing my things but it ended up being a little over 3 years. My things were well cared for and everything was in good shape. I would drop in and add to or remove things as needed. I had no reason to worry about my belongings. I would use them again if needed. Merci.

just as i left, dicovered that Mis Nancy King was moving on, for personal reazons, to bad for the company elements like her are few and far in between, there is nothing worst to lose good workers, she should be rewarded with a higher position, but you can not se how valueble workes she is, i sad in my previous coments do not lose her, she will be an asset in any company sad that you do did not see her potencial, and that is your lost, good hunting miss. I had my belongings here for at least 8 years and never saw any sign of pests or mould. Far better than a garage or basement that way! Really appreciate the elevator and carts.

Although the staff and management were helpful and kind during the day to day operations, the policies and procedures leave something to be desired. Renting the storage unit was made into a complicated situation that has us renting a larger unit that we reserved in the first place (bait and switch). Then our unit was closed out on us without our authorization after we paid the month in advance. It seems to be a sneaky way to make a buck at the expense of the customer, while the staff just say "nothing we can do here about it". Shady business practices in my opinion.

Storage was a good experience, everything else with renting a truck from U-Haul was an absolute nightmare, I would recommend U-haul on the storage side, but after my 2 experiences over the past 2 months not ever the truck rental side, infa 5 I'd probably more often then not tell people to steer clear of those truck rentals.

The U-Haul storage facility at 156 Bluewater Road is excellent. I had a unit for a little over 5 years. The facility is very clean and well maintained and the staff (Nancy) and others have been great to deal with. If you are in need of a storage unit, I would highly recommend this place.

Very good service. The only glitch is being asked for credit card information twice on we b site during initial purchase of a unit space : first time with autofill, second time all manual. Too time consuming to have to do it twice and manually. Other communication issues are: - the amount of notice required to terminate - the fact that you have to check out each time you leave or you will be locked out next time you try to go in.

It took 3 times to get ID, pictures, and required contacts. It all came to an abrupt end when I put my postal code in my address, it rejected it because it was not a zip code. What a waste of time.! When I explained this to the manager, she expedited the process for me.it was great.!

I communicate to the store that I'm not willing to renew for the next month, next day they called me asking to empty the storage and remove the locker ASAP or they will remove it and charge me extra charge. Poor experience with the store, definitely wont rent with Uhaul anymore

On my last week I had challenges accessing the building because another patron would block the only access point so closely to the garage door that I could not even get a dolly in the building. The staff allow other people to park on thatched lines which limit access to the only door. People should be made to move. I was so frustrated that I quit my lease and will use another company. If the staff watched via camera they could tell when someone is parked there illegally. One single garage door is not enough for a building that size. I can't wait 3 hours for someone to move. Love the unit but it soured my whole experience

Nancy and her staff are always friendly and helpful. The facility was great. Always clean and well maintained. However, we did have issues securing a unit, even after reserving one online. I have contacted the head office of U-Haul directly to ask that they look into their procedures for booking a unit, as it was very stressful during an already stressful moving time from out of province.
