The inside of the truck smelled like cigarettes. I tried calling the phone number to the location to complain but it kept rerouting to the call center. Unfortunately I was under time restraints otherwise I would have returned the truck to swap it out for another one. When I came back to return the vehicle, the inside of the location wreaked of cigarette smoke. The employees smoke in the garage space next to the help desk and it travels through the doors.

The trailer had problems halfway through the trip where it started to fishtail uncontrollably and I was unable to go over 40 mph without losing control. We had to unload the car and drive the last 100 miles.

The truck I was given was dirty and old. There were fry's and a left over cup in the front, as well as dirt everywhere in the drivers area. Don't get me started on the loading area, that was filthy and there were lots of reminders from the previous person. I told the front that it was dirty, and that I shouldn't be charged for this uncleanliness- they responded nonchalantly, I won't be charged. I have no idea if these ever get cleaned or maintained. Too pricey for the service. Additionally, I had ordered and paid for moving supplies and they didn't get it to me. I had to call on the phone for a reimbursement. Overall, not great but, *shrug*

Confusion on where to check in for drop off. Had to walk back and forth twice from the building to the yard to simply drop off a trailer.

There are two buildings. Better signage to direct you to the first building to complete the rental, even though the trailer that is being rented (pre-paid online) is at the second building.

My husband rented a U-haul truck from this location in Bloomington. We packed our items into the truck and left items in the truck overnight before our drive out of state. When we arrived at our new home, our movers noticed our mattress had two bugs on it that moved very quickly. They recommended that we don't bring the mattress inside as these could be bed bugs. After a closer look at the roof of the truck, we noticed multiple black spots on the roof of the truck. These are signs of bed bugs and clearly, the truck was not properly cleaned between uses. We purchased insurance for the move but apparently U-haul doesn't protect against infestations, which they should. The furniture pads are not properly cleaned and passed between people which spreads bugs like this between cities. We did not have bugs on any other items of furniture and the mattress was the only item that was in contact with the roof with black spots. We had to purchase a new mattress and were out over $1 000 to replace the mattress and pillows out of caution. U-haul took no accountability for this and we are extremely disappointed in the lack of accountability. If renting a U-haul, look for signs like black spots on walls or the roof and DO NOT use furniture pads from any location.

The ring inside trailer was jammed. Very hard to get free so I could get straps on. Wasn't a great time in the dark while it's 15 degrees outside.

I have a complaint, when booking this equipment rental, I was given a pickup location 1 hour away and did not stay open the time I needed. So, I found this location 5 minutes from the airport with ample equipment, but was charged an extra $350. I tried to resolve the matter with your dispatch unit, but was told it was nothing they could do about it. In the end, I just paid the extra $350. The service guy was empathetic, and assisted me with the equipment hook-up. I rent from uhaul all the time, and this was the first time anything like this have ever happened.

Patty was good but my overall experience was horrible, horrendous. The representative at towncentre Eagan does not belong in Custer service, extremely rude and disregarded to any help i needed, the auto location sucked and I was forced to upgrade at the Bloomington site resulting in the over draft of my account after I was informed by patty I was to receive a 50 credit and I never heard back. I have called and complained 3 times with no results.

The trailer itself was fine but the tire on the passenger side was constantly leaking air and was a concern the entire trip.

U-haul Has a very nice trailer for transporting a car. Would like to see more at more locations, The ratchet strap could use some maintenance or replacement. But we made them work. Will rent again.

The employees were what made the experience seamless. In Bloomington the workers were extremely friendly and helpful! When I had questions the phone was always answered and everyone was so welcoming. Process was extremely quick because employees knew exactly what to do and were prepared for us. Customer service top notch at both locations. Especially the man who helped us unhitch our unit from our car. Sunday 12/1/24 morning like 10am.

I chose the no contact pickup option thinking that it would save time but it ended up taking longer than if I had waited in line. Additionally the key was not in the lock box so we had to talk an agent any ways. I will not recommend the no contact pickup option in its current state.

I was trying to help someone find a place to store things. They took advantage of you and me and were using it it like a motel. Your staff were very professional about sharing the in fractions with me and we got the person moved out with little hassle. My apologies to the staff.

Scheduled a trailer and storage unit the night before and everything went well. There was a promotion online about renting a trailer and getting a free month of storage however when I checked out it was still showing full price. Asked the representative about it and she was very helpful and said to call if it showed payment for next month. Everyone was helpful and location was clean!

The overall experience my partner and I had was seamless, non stressful, accommodating and just great. We had a lot of negative experiences with other storage facilities in trying to get storage, but U-Haul really redeemed the storage industry in my eyes with this experience. Now the truck rental with U-Haul was quite the opposite, but that has been resolved as well. So thanks U-Haul for making this experience a good one

It was pretty clear my unit had been only minimally inspected before being made available to me. There was a cigarette lighter on the floor in a corner, and a number of small roundish objects both in solid black and white colors. I think the black ones are some kind of dead insect or beetles, no idea about the white ones, moth eggs maybe? Rodent droppings god forbid? Definitely doesn't make me enthusiastic about using the unit for storage and if I wasn't in a hurry helping a relative I would cancel it and go elsewhere. Anything I do put in there will be in whatever form of sealed container or bag I can contrive. As another example of how minimal any turnover work was, there was supposed to be a lock in the unit as well but that was forgotten. No reason to complain here, one was offered right away with zero issue, I just offer it as another data point/example. A couple cigarette butts on the floor in the hall near my unit make wonder about building security and surveillance too, if not necessarily the safety of my unit itself. It's a big place with a lot of floor space and winding hallways. Very easy for someone to be doing something they shouldn't around the corner from a camera. On the other hand, I can't emphasize enough how friendly and helpful the staff were. I don't want to sound like an angry customer and I never want to be one. The storage unit gives me pause and I'll be using it for as briefly as I can, but I have nothing but praise for the staff personally.

We are very picky about cleanliness and proper organization. We do not give good ratings unless they are well deserved. Your facility and staff are excellent. We arrived in Minneapolis after many days on the road from California. This is our first time visiting Minneapolis. We were tired and it was cold with a steady strong rain. We are grateful to have found your facility!!. We have no disputes with Uhau at this time.

Well laid out, clean, secure. The indoor bays for loading and unloading are great if there is any bad weather. Carts and dollies are available to assist in moving items in and out.

Directions should have been given in steps but were given in a quick paragraph that made little sesnse until he walked us through it. Then we were given a dirty unit on the third floor that said it was customer ready. The then gave us a larger unit with a small access door. Yuck.

It wasn't clear which door to gain entry with my code, there was no lock in my unit so I had to go back in and get one. I was supposed to have a free month since I rented a vehicle, but I was charged full price anyways.
