The co workers were professional friendly and nice to deal with.

Martin J.Our customer service representative was the same person at pick up and drop off. He was sarcastic and overall rude. The gas tanks should be full at pick up . Having to guess gas mileage and attempt to fill the tank back to 3/8 is unnecessary and a waste of time for an already busy stressful move.

Berdine B.When I arrived at this location, the lady working the desk was more worried about talking to her friends than helping me. It took almost ten minutes just to check me in because she was talking to her friend while looking me up. She then was going to charge me almost double what it should have been because she had added items onto my order that I did not need. At the end, she handed me the keys to the vehicle with no instructions as to which vehicle it was or if there was anything I needed to do to before leaving the lot. When I got back, there is a place where you are supposed to park and wait in the vehicle for someone to come out and check it back in. After sitting in the vehicle for almost five minutes and nobody coming, I went inside the store. When I got there it was a different girl and she advised me to go back outside and just wait for someone to come. After about another two minutes, someone finally came and he was by far the most pleasant person I dealt with. Thank you Cameron, great customer service! Overall, I would not recommend this location to anyone. I have used this place many times in the past for both renting a truck and storage units and it is not the same as it once was…

We rented a trailer and it kept forcing me to enter gas and mileage usage. When I reached out to Uhaul for help I was told it was a 50 minute wait. At the end of a long moving day-not good.
Jarrod S.Please improve your app. I arrived last night after hours and tried to use the 24/7 app for the return. I was able to get through taking pictures, but then the app stalled and said I needed to upload photos for the odometer and the gas gauge. I had rented a trailer. I repeated all steps and spent 30 minutes at the Uhaul location. I called and waited on hold for 30 minutes for someone to tell me they could only note that I had called to report the trailer was returned on time. I ended up spending an hour to return the trailer.

Irvin S.I was behind an entire day because my truck was not available. I made reservations a month in advance and received a confirmation call the night before…but when I went in to get my truck…none. Not even any type of trade or compensation. I finally got my truck in Boise (originally requested from the Nampa/Caldwell location) so had to drive an extra 30 miles there and back. The customer service I received in the Boise office was good, not so much for the Caldwell office. I was surprised that there was no compensation for the massive inconvenience this ordeal caused. I had no help to load my entire house into the truck I got because my loading crew was only available on the day I was supposed to get my Uhaul. To top it off, I sent my son down to rent a trailer for an hour or two to move his stuff into a local storage unit. There was again, nothing and the rep was very rude and snotty to him. Needless to say, I am not impressed. I will not be using Uhaul again and have no plans to refer friends or family to use Uhaul either. I'd rather pay the higher prices for better service.

Brian M.There were several big challenges with our reservation. We originally reserved our 26 foot truck to be picked up in Caldwell, ID. I reserved this about a month in advance. We called UHaul a few days before our reservation date and were told, "yep yep yep, all is well". Less than 24 hours before pick up we were told that we could have a 20' truck. Not even close to what we needed for our move, the rep added in a 6' tandem trailer for an extra $10 to try and make up for the challenge. We accepted. The next challenge was the pick up location. Instead of getting the rig in town, we had to drive 20+ miles into Boise which in the end, we were charged for! That was rich, paying for extra miles that weren't our doing. The next ding was the missing blankets and appliance dolly that we had paid for, but neglected to double check to ensure they were in the truck. Predictably, they were not so that was more running around. Next is the mileage. The mileage allowed by the reservation was too low for the actual road miles of our move but I had failed to notice that. With all the superfluous driving that your company had caused plus the actual road miles of our move, we overused the allocation and to add insult to injury; had to cough up yet another 50+ bucks at the drop off spot. No, we won't use uHaul in the future if we can avoid it.

After filling out the paperwork however it said I had to move in on the day I completed the paperwork aka the 5th of January. Why would it start me renting a unit on the 5th when I asked for the 17th? Essentially I'm paying for days that I'm not using. Extremely displeased.

When my payments got behind they worked with me to get a satisfactory agreement to close out my unit and get my belongings so i didnt lose them to auction. Would definately use again.

When I reported this to the office they said everything was fine. And it would be fixed (twice). The real issue was that when I came back log in and removed the lock from my unit an ear piercing alarm would sound for about 3 minutes. Just grew to expect it

We reserved (over the phone and with a credit card) a 10x10x10 interior unit over a month in advance of when we would need it. A day before we were to move in, a U-Haul representative called to confirm our reservation. A couple of days later when I logged into my U-Haul account to view my reservation and figure out how to access it, I noticed I had no current reservations. I could see a "past order" with the confirmation number that tied to what I thought was my existing reservation. I called the service line and waited on hold for 45 minutes. When I finally spoke with an agent, she told me that there was no record of my reservation, not even my email or my name, in the system. I was baffled. She spent another 30 minutes trying to figure out why we weren't in the system. Finally, I decided to print off all of the email confirmations that I had that would indicate we had indeed reserved a storage unit at this facility and take them to the storage location. When we arrived, the manager who was working promptly recognized the issue and let us know that there was not a 10x10x10 unit available and the best he could do was a 5x10x10. Essentially, he confirmed for us that the reservation means nothing and the units are first come first served. I would have never relied on this as a storage solution had I known we were not guaranteed the unit we reserved with our credit card. We found this to be completely unacceptable and believe U-Haul should make it much clearer to potential renters that the unit they have reserved may or may not be available to them when they need it. Again, my complaint is not with this Orchard St facility, just the company's rental policies.

When I arrived I was told that the space was no longer available and that they had tried to contact me, but there was no contact information on my record. I know that Uhaul has my email since I have received confirmation. They proceeded to offer me a larger unit for more money -- one for 3x as much! Additionally, the room they finally found for me was in an older building with no elevator on the 2nd floor. No thank you! Clearly there is a breakdown in the communication between Uhaul and it's franchises. Why was my contact information not shared? If it had been, I could have more easily found another spot. Since my daughter was one of the last to move out, finding another space was a scramble. The staff, while friendly were not able to assist in resolving the problem, which could have been easily resolved by offering me a short-term lease on larger space at same cost.

Also, it took 4 1/2 hours between three of us trying to reach U Haul by phone, when we were on the 890-mile drive. U Haul compensated by giving us one more free rent on one of the storage units, and gave us $120 coupon to put towards the other one. The staff at the office were great and very helpful!

Since my storage is down in the basement it was hard to move the furniture with no cars or elevators. Overall, the staff is really nice but the storage itself does its job it just didn't have a stable ground which made it had to store my boxes.

Prior to my signing of the agreement, I asked if it was 24 hour access, and he said yes... then, upon showing me the unit, answering my question again, he said " Oh, not these ones. These are accessible during our open business hours." This is an outrageously enormous inconvenience for me. This was the only day I could move my belongings to storage. Due to working a full day shift, 7:00am to 7:00pm gives me about 20 minutes to do any moving... I have to be out by Saturday at Noon, and I just have to consider my stuff as a donation. I'm really disappointed in this specific business location. My family has used U-Haul for years, and they weren't ever lied to or manipulated like this... Why me?

The rep called me and had me check in 2 weeks early so I didnt loose the storage I reserved?....what's the point in the reservation then? This was completely unfair and infeel likening was robbed being forced to get the unit early so it wasn't "reserved" for someone else....complete bs

This office not only accommodated us, but they called us back a few times to help us get registered over the phone so our daughter could start moving in. They really went above and beyond. Plus we get a free month of storage because of the virus. We deeply appreciate that.

If you park in the designated parking area you have to walk 20 feet to the stairs that are towards the back of the dock then through the doors and around that middle section to the back where the stairs are then to your unit. Not terribly convenient. And often it's colder in the storage room than outside
