Have employees that want to come to work and who believe in customer service! The tire air display clearly showed that the back tires need attention 78 in the left tire 55 on the right ! The windshield and side mirrors were both in need of cleaning! But the guy that checked us in was very personable and interested in our well being !! When I tried to extend my time I was told I couldn't as some one else was scheduled to use it!! I was transferred to another party - waited 20 minutes and that person took care of it swiftly- I didn't have to come back in and switch vans ….when I went in to add additional days on line I noticed my contract was for 750$ rather than the original 185$ - the lady that helped me on the time extension - it took her a few minutes and she finally figured out that the girl that checked me out entered the 185$ as a daily rate. Lastly my reservation was changed to a 24/7 reservation fine - so I went thru the process of checking out my vehicle- then I was instructed the key for the van was inside and to go inside to end of the desk and the key would be available. After a wait of 22 minutes I finally got the van !! There are plenty of other locations I will avail myself to in the future!
Jerome G.The trailer was advertised as 6 by 12 which it was p On the inside but the entrance at the ramp was only 4 ft 6 the object I was picking up is 5ft wide I didn't notice this until I got it home I returned in 1 hr to tell them I couldn't use it but they changed me for a days rental which I don't think is very good business

I'm a business owner and I would of made that rite instead of trying to charge me more money.

Kind of concerned about the exposure. trip was uneventful - thank goodness. --- Rick, Nick and Lewis were great getting me the truck and Auto transport. Obviouslyl, they are knowledgeable and experts in what they do.

They new that when they made the reservation. Thought I was doing a 24/7 pick up for a closed location. Needless to say they made this very stressful during a stressful time of move.

alisa C.Our service provider assisting in getting our trailer hooked up was very nice but very inexperienced. he should have been checked by a more experienced employee. One of our tires was half inflated and if we didn't check the tires ourselves with our personal air gauge, we would not have known. Then he just gave us the air hose and said you can fill it up. Plus, the air hose was in need of repair. Once on the road, we had to put air in the tire every 100 miles. An inconvenience to say the least.

mark H.The lady who checked me in promised me a discount to return the vehicle to Orange City instead of DeLand where I originally selected that was close to me. I never received that or the fuel discount she also promised me for returning the vehicle there. She also promised extra mileage and extra days. The only thing I received was an extra charge. Nothing promised was ever received. That is unfair and deceptive practices. Realistically I had to drive more miles and use more gas because of what YOUR COMPANY REQUESTED and benefits YOUR EMPLOYEE lied about. There's witnesses as well. While the new girl promised me all of that the more seasoned agent sat there and overheard it all, as well as the person I came in there with. Also, I was told she couldn't give me a copy of the contract because you guys were “out of paper†When I called to complain and explain the situation and ask why I'm being charged additional money, the agent basically told me too bad so sad. At what point does uhaul become accountable for its employees actions and broken promises to its customers?

Todd A.I am rather disappointed in the overall experience. Shortly before my rental, I received a call letting me know that the 15 foot truck I reserved was not available and I would only be offered a 10 foot truck at a different location. The rental location was father away and took me extra time to get there and home pushing back my window of helpers I had to make the move. While the cost of the truck was $10 less, it did not have a ramp and the location did not have an appliance dolly causing great issues with moving my refrigerator. I had to make many extra trips due to the smaller sized truck. I do not feel the $50 credit I am receiving is adequate compensation for the last hour change in equipment and I would like someone provide a more significant compensation. I cannot consider using UHaul again under the current situation.
Scott M.The scheduling and call center are terrible. They told me originally that there was no guarantee I could get a truck at this location. They told me I would have to go to Fort Meyers and that they were sorry. I spent hours for 3 days prior to the pick up trying to resolve with no one helping me at all. Ultimately I had to take the truck 2 days earlier than I had planned just so I might be assured the pick up in Bradenton. Meanwhile Bradenton had well over a dozen trucks every time I went there to pick up supplies. Terrible management and scheduling. I will never use U-Haul again.
DENNIS C.When I reserved my truck I also asked for a appliance dolly. I when I went to pick up the truck they told me they did not have the dolly I reserved, this was a huge problem for me for what I was moving that day. I phone call or email, or text a day earlier would of been helpful notifying me of the dolly situation. I could of changed my plans for that day.

Alot of my items were damaged when they had their RAT PARTY. You can't put a price on them because they meant more because I saved to buy or I was given these items and didn't know about situation until I went over to get my Christmas stuff. Rented Oct 2022 moved Jan 31. Had to throw out to much. Your Staff, amazing, busy at times. Unhappy customer.

From my mattresses, my clothes, my wooden headboard even cords to lamps and video game consoles. We were homeless and from the beginning the staff (Ms. Heather, Ms. Lauren & Nick) were always wonderful, I don't blame the staff for the rats ruining my things, im just really disappointed because this was an expensive controlled climate facility. I would NEVER had expected this type of damage.

I believe she was new, but we were there right at 7am (luckily since we couldn't register via phone) and we needed to have our truck returned down the road at 9am. We are moving from a hurricane zone which has been extremely stressful and they did not make our experience very pleasant. I had made a reservation the night before and they couldn't find it even though I had a confirmation number. The maintenance man was nice at first but was yelling at us from across the parking lot saying "you better hustle, that truck is due!!!!!!" Meanwhile we had been throwing our stuff out of the truck outside so we could return our truck in time. The lady who checked us in also gave us the wrong unit number which was a quick fix. Overall pretty stressful checkin process but we are happy to finally be moved in.

They are infested with rats and you are paying for climate control but all of my furniture was ruined with mold and mildew. I had to throw away all of my big furniture. They did not send out any notification to let people know they were having climate issues nor pest issues so we could take the steps to protect our valuables and are still letting people move in. Do not use them!!

When I went to the office I was told they have been trying to get AC fixed for a while and has a rodent issue for months. I was not notified if this and when opening my unit all my stuff was ruined with mold and dead rodent smell. I am devastated I have to throw my and my kids belongings out due to the negligence of this facility.

mark f. | Premières impressionsAfter i called the 800 number and was given a great price on a storage unit that should have been adequate, i went to the location only to find out that they did not in fact have a unit for me at said location or any other location in my area, i was told that the reservation was free and come to find out that it most definitely was not free. My bank account was charged for unit i can not even use and now i have to wait 3-5 business days to receive my refund for their mistake. Sure they can take your money on the spot for no service rendered but they want to make you wait to give you back the money they said they wouldn't take until i was actually moved in... Thanks a lot for nothing.

We wore mask for fear of disease!!! Talked with other customers and they said the same thing. Manager was short with us, and unconcerned. Said we were the only complaint. NOT TRUE. The other couple said she said the same thing to them. Only asked us if we had insurance for our damaged property. We're contacting the health department. I thought insurance was for flood, or natural disaster.....guess I should have read the fine details. Lost four chairs, antique family heirloom, and some items in boxes. The POOP that was swept out into the hallway was still there when we came back two days later, just to continue to get OUT!!! Only used storage this time in my life during the move to FL, and pray I never use it again!! OH, this card system in and out seems convenient, but alarm goes off way too often.....I wonder how much damage has been caused to our hearing. When you go to swipe "out" it's like the system has you already out and you're swiping in again......Like you "timed" out or something. Worthless!!!!

I was going to Rent a unit closer to home but i figured since the first month was free i would use that unit. When I arrived with a my trailer loaded i went into the office where i was told they probably didnt have a unit for me because they had reserved the only unit available to 5 people. I tried to explain that you can't RESERVE 1 unit to five people when the woman became rude. They finally gave me a unit they had reserved to somone for the 15 th. Then i was charged over $100 for a unit i was told was going to be free. When I questioned the lady she became even more rude and said, do you want it or not. I had no choice but to take the unit becau i had no place to unload their trailer which I had to return. What a circus. I will buy a trailer before I ever use u-haul again!!!!

Kim H. | Expérience généraleI spent SEVEN (7) months trying to get MY property that was basically being withheld to me! 7 months of dealing with a rude employee who thinks he is the GM whom NEVER relayed ANY of my messages to the actual GM! From them basically stealing my property, to threats of selling it TWICE, to finally having corporate doing the right thing by researching MY account and seeing that I in fact WAS RIGHT and rectifying the situation. U-Haul needs to stick with what they know, rental trucks!

We rented a storage unit here too. It was quick & easy to do, and the facility was very clean, inside & out. In my experience, this location was like a revolving door. Get trucks & trailers in, get them out. I was impressed with the staff for how busy they all were, that they took time to help anyone that drove onto the lot.
