Carmen was great to work with and made my U-Haul experience a true pleasure.
MICHAEL SI would never rent from U-haul, the truck was covered in snow that I had to clean myself, not mentioned the hidend fees I had to pay. U-haul is a scam, I would never ever rent or recommend and of my friends or family to rent from U-haul!!!!

MIGUEL PI did a visual look at a 15 foot truck in Norwalk or what they said, it was a 15 foot truck. What I saw in Norwalk and what I picked up in Bridgeport was not the same! At that time, I had absolutely no choice but to take the 15 foot truck that she gave me. She did say that she could give me a 25 footer, but that was entirely too big and neither of us could've driven that size of a truck. I believe they must've shown me 20 footer. Anyway, that being said I could not fit my entire move into this truck. The other complication is that I had to cancel the trailer that I was picking up in Stamford because I needed to pack my Honda CRV with whatever I could possibly fit into it. Now I have to return back to Connecticut and rent another vehicle in order to finish cleaning out my apartment. I am going to request from U-HAUL that I get compensated by a free round-trip van. From Norwalk, Connecticut to East Falmouth, Massachusetts. I am so upset I can't even begin to explain how inconvenient this has become!

PEDRO TWhike the truck was clean on the inside, tgere was quite a bit of damage on the outside due to years of incidents that we're not properly fixed. The truck was very outdated. The transmission was very sluggish. I didn't feel safe in it at all..
MARVEDIA TEvery person I spoke with before, during and after use of the equipment was incredible. Excellent customer service across the board! I will use and recommend these sites and U-Haul going forward. Thank you for making a very stressful time a little more manageable.

Bobby C | Premières impressionsThe first truck we were offered was not great. Before we even turned the key I took photos all around it. My wife attempted to adjust the passenger side mirror and it fell off. She's about 110 lbs and definitely did not force it. A slight touch on the side and a piece fell off. It was obviously broken. When we took the mirror inside to show the clerk (10 minutes after she gave us the key and never having started it up) she accused us of breaking it. Implied that we didn't know how to adjust it. Left a very bad taste in my mouth. She was not friendly or customer focused. I will not rent from that location again. The second truck was fine but yikes the whole experience had a pall over it.

Luiz BI've been renting from U-Haul for many many years. This one time I happen to be late due to a flat tire on my truck. I was three hours late and was charged a full extra day, even though the store has closed and wasn't even open when I returned it.
ENRIQUE RI picked up my rental around 10:20am on 9/14/2024. The two women who were working were very rude. The first was driving a uhaul van. While trying to cross the street I could see she was yelling at me while inside the vehicle with all the windows up. I crossed the street. She proceeded to stop in the lane of traffic, open her door and yell at me "DIDN'T YOU HEAR ME!? YOU CAN'T PARK THERE." I informed her I was picking up and I would be on my way. The next woman inside informed me of the same thing, no please and thank, no smile, but considering she wasn't yelling a vast improvement. They was incredibly unhelpful though, talking to each other (when the woman in the van returned) and seemed very irritated I didn't use their app. Both employees never once smiled, said thank you, or showed any signs of friendliness. They seemed very angry that I was there or that they had to work. Personally, I will never use this uhaul location again.

Edward LWhen reserving equipment, Why have the person on the phone ask all the same questions as the person who is checking out equipment when you get there, They both asked me same questions waste of time. I'm sure the online system makes that easier but if you are going to have questions asked then ask them once! Also the phone could not scan the trailer maybe a QR CODE on trailers would be better But the the ladies at the desk were very friendly courteous.kind and helpful Better than most which is hard to find

The woman(person) who was attending when we dropped of the truck was also outstanding, friendly courteous etc. It was beyond wonderful to have such a great experience rentinga truck. Who would a thought! Also, the re-purposing of the building added I think to the overall experience, it is a great day when we can keep the architecture of the past. Thank you for that!
Marianne Cloading dock always blocked by employees parked cars, always had to load and unload across the lot and carry items to unit, was not able to use flat carts to get to truck.

Your location was the only one in about a 60 mile radius who had the equipment that we could use. Your staff, facility and equipment allowed us to get back to Buffalo, I can never thank you guys enough.
RICHARD WYou should not charge customers $20 for after hours delivery, especially those who have full insurance which cost almost as much as renting the van. It is a real inconvenience go through the steps you have to go through to return a van or truck after hours. You do have cameras on sight. You should have a VA discount, 5-10 %. Your employees were great.

My storage units changed overnight; I was directed to the wrong loading bay; I couldn't access or find my storage units; my swipe card didn't work; no one would help me; all of this while I was paying movers to sit in 90+ degree weather. A disaster. I couldn't be more dissatisfied.

The manager at the Pine st location in bridgeport, ct (Ashley Quiles)was empathic, understanding, apologetic and extremely helpful. We relocated from one unit to a different unit with what was remaining. I hope that she is recognized for her outstanding professionalism and dedication to her customers!

Ricardo H | Expérience généraleI told staff I had big furniture they gave me a small unit I wasn’t able to fit a lot of my belongings in it I called for reservations ahead of time and was put in my daughters name for a truck and storage unit they couldn’t find my name or no# so I had to go rent a truck from Boston ave while my reservations was in my daughters name and # because her name popped up on ur system now I don’t know what to do with half my stuff because the movers are not trying to move me again I had to loose a 65 in tv that broke on the pull down door I’m so upset about this experience but ur staff really needs to stop rushing and get people information correct so this doesn’t happen again and they still haven’t called me to see if they can put my other stuff in and they told me last night they will get back to me today so I gotta find somewhere to put the rest of my stuff!

I used a moving company that charged almost two hundred dollars an hour and my unit was locked by uhaul and it took 25 minutes to get in touch with the front end staff all while I'm being billed for the move. Very unprofessional and that alone would give me pause in recommending this facility in particular

How could you have only one person on a holiday weekend? The woman was obviously new and she was having trouble setting up my rental. I had 2 men waiting outside that I was paying and they had to sit in the car and wait. The woman told me all my transactions had to be done through my cell phone via text messages. She was very kind and apologetic so I was not going to complain. She asked me if I had a lock and I told her that I had a combination lock. After the reservation was complete I started to work and we put things in the storage unit. Today I'm on my way back home I said let me run by the store and pick up some things. I found a lock on my door. I asked at the desk they told me I had to use specific u-haul lock So they pad locked my storage space. I couldn't get in. Again there is one woman behind the desk and a long line of people waiting. I guess that's what u-haul does all the money people are spending to rent these spaces and there's only one person to help a long line of people. What I don't understand if everything has to be done via text message if you have a contact number for me and you text me to set up a contract why not text me and tell me that you put a lock on My space? Why do I have to find out when I get there what you dit I have been at this space for 24 hours and I am not happy and I am getting my stuff out of here as soon as I can. If you use text messages to conduct business then you should use text messages to extend customer service.

They were rude and behaved as if you were bothering them. I went to complain that a mice got into my things and they did nothing to resolve the issue. I certainly would not recommend this location to anyone ever.

I didn't want to touch those items because of contamination and I gave key to the staff. So they can discard these items. Staff name is Ashley. She told me not to contact the insurance company but they will cover all the damage made to my property but she had stop communicating with me, did not reply to my emails. On top of that they did nothing to remove the damaged property from the storage and keep charging me rent for the damaged property which was in the storage. I had paid them rent from March of 2021 to October of 2021. I want my rent back plus the money for my damaged property.
