Try to have better Custer service and work with people. Sometimes there running alittle late ib a move. There should be a grace period. If your going to take on extra fees or $30 plus in charges for someone being 30 min late without telling them about the charge before hand, that's a huge disconnect and major issue. I rented several times in the past. My company has a contract with other truck moving services that I will look forward to using in the future. Prices are good with uhaul but the sneaky rude staff called customer service is not worth my peace. Never again!!

The facility was well run and clean. The security was good and the units and hallways were well lit. We had a very minor incident of animal damage (likely a mouse) but it was very minor. We used the facility for about 6 months.

While the location was fine the attendant first told me that the trailer was not available despite my confirmed reservation. I had to be very assertive and she eventually reluctantly processed the rental. She directed me to the trailer "by the edge of the grass" and she would meet me there. I had a trailer connected and ready to go when she finally came out to tell me that I was to take a different (identical) trailer so I had to disconnect and connect to a second trailer. It was not the best customer service I have experienced.

The website experience is inconsistent on a number of levels. When booking a cargo trailer, the confirmations come back with a utility trailer. This seems to be an error/bug in the website. The consistency of the check in process across the app and the website is not great since you have to add vehicle information again.

Had a problem contacting the store on the day I had the rental vehicle. It was due back at 7pm and no one answered the phone. I called at 6:40pm and was on hold for 30 minutes. No one ever picked up. I incurred unreasonable charges after ward.

This was my first uHaul rental. I made the reservation online. I chose U-Haul because of the low load height and ramp. I arrived to pick up the rental, upon looking at the 10' truck, I thought it may not be large enough for all the training equipment and realized it also did not have a ramp. I asked the associate at the desk if he had a 15' truck available. He answered in the affirmative, but it was his first day, and he needed to have his manager do the change the reservation. For the next 30 minutes, I waited patiently for his manager, whom he had contacted via cell phone. When she did finally arrive she took care of me quickly. and I was on my way. Once I entered the vehicle I noticed it was not the cleanest, but its a truck... I then found a cigarette in the ashtray (not cool!). The airbag light was on and there was a quarter tank of fuel. I filled up, loaded up and the following morning proceeded to our training location. On day 3 it rained. The vehicle sat for the morning. When we completed our training and were going to load-out we discovered about 3" of water in "Mom's Attic". This required us to remove all our equipment, get as much of the water out of there as possible and then put down clothing we use for scenarios to soak up the water that was left and try and keep the equipment dry. I did return the truck late and was hit with an additional day's rental in part because our class ran a bit late, but also in part due to the having to off-load, dry, and reload the truck. I understand these vehicles are not water-proof, but I believe there is an expectation they won't flood. This was very disappointing. I will have to look at other options and compare them next time.

The employees were very courteous and professional, however it took me almost 1 hr to get my truck because they only had one person working then they tell me I need to be back by 5 because someone else is picking up truck at 5:15! So you already took an hour of my time and I need to bring it in earlier then the 6 hours I requested? I only ended up with the truck for 4 hours and I booked 6!

Dropped off trailer on 10/29/2020 after the store was closed. I called the number on the paperwork and waited on hold for 30 minutes. I could see a person working in the store but could not get their attention because I was outside in the rain.

There should be in place partial reimbursement due circumstances beyond a customer's control. When closing on a home so much depend on factors that can't be controlled. The truck i rented sat on my driveway for 4 hours waiting for the seller of our new home to get back to us. I was charged full price after informing them at uhaul.

This was the worst experience I've had moving in my adult life. I booked a truck one month in advance for a Saturday in August. My husband went to pick up the truck 30 minutes earlier for our reservation. No truck. An hour. No truck. 2, 3, 4 hours later still no truck. No help to even find another truck from the location in queens. Finally they sent him to another uhaul location in NYC because they had a truck. He gets there after they promised him the truck would be ready to go when he got there. THERE WAS NO TRUCK. They keep him waiting another 40 minutes, then they find him a truck. It wasn't a truck, it was a VAN. We were moving a two bedroom apartment. They people at that location flat told him there was nothing to be done even though we had already paid. We call the corporate number and the only truck available is an hour away in Bridgeport CT. So we drive the hour to get the truck. Why did nobody give us that option literally 6 hours earlier instead of wasting an entire day when we had movers WAITING. Finally a month after this awful experience uhaul is STILL writing me with citations charges - which is a lot of nerve considering the money we spent in cabs going from uhaul to uhaul waiting for trucks that were never there. Not to mention the money in gas to drive to Bridgeport from queens and then to MA. Truly the worst customer service I've ever received. And for those wasted two hours we got a $50 discount. That's it. And now we're still being charged.

Also my name is Petrice I reserved the truck under my information but somehow got everything under my fiancee William. Very upset and disappointed never had a problem in all my years renting trucks till now.

Equipment lot was completely full, attendant tried to make us back the trailer to get to a different entrance--very unprofessional. Both places, unfortunately, are AVERAGE for uhaul which is notoriously poor in customer service.

The customer service I received over the phone was outstanding. Very courteous and helpful. I have to say I was surprised by the level of professionalism I received while making the reservation. At the pick up location the truck was not ready at the time of the scheduled pick up. It had to be cleaned and the supplies I rented had to be placed in the truck. This delayed the pick up by 25 minutes. I completed the on-line portion of the check in prior to arriving to help expedite the pick up process. The drop off process went much smoother the following day. Overall a good experience.

I arrived on site and followed the instructions to gain access to the building. Went to my unit and found it locked with a small brass lock. Went to office and asked for assistance. Attendant was busy processing truck returns. I said I would try again the next day. Returned to find lock still on unit. Attendant met me at unit and removed the lock. Opened unit to find a 12"+×12"+ vertical support column in the middle of the unit. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the Attendant who said they couldn't do anything. I also requested the round lock that was supposed to be included. Attendant said he would get it and return to the unit. Attendant did not return for 15+ minutes and was outside handling truck returns when I went to find him. I returned to the office after another 10 minutes and he handed me a lock. He said he had to call GM to get access to locks. I asked if he spoke to the GM about the obstruction in my unit and he said No. Summary: The unit is not acceptable and another unit should have been assigned immediately. The customer service was terrible. Besides the waiting, the attendant did not address a significant issue and obvious customer dissatisfaction. The obstruction was not noted on the website or any subsequent communications. I reserved a 5'x10'x10' storage unit. The obstruction reduces the available storage volume and prohibits storage of most wide or long items. I have been waiting for the assignment of a new unit. Please contact me asap to resolve.

I'll never rent from Uhaul again. When I returned truck, the employee told me just to leave truck in front and drop key in box. I rented a large space from your storage facility on premise. I could've unload before 8pm as I had until noon the next day to return it, and I live only 2 miles from location. Uhaul charged me $20 for after hour drop off. That's completely unfair.

The passenger compartment of the truck was not clean and was not cleaned to prevent the spread of Covid. There was a layer of dust on the dash and all over the interior. The inside windshield has a layoff of film on them so thick it made it difficult to see with glare from the setting sun. The outside of the windshield was splattered with bugs. I needed to clear all of this before driving to my destination,

Carmen in Bridgeport is a great uhaul team member, but Jesse in Norwalk is the person who saved the day for both me and Uhaul, the reservation had turned a disaster, and but for Jesse this review of Uhaul would have been very different. She deserves a medal!

The back of the truck was covered in WD40 film. Did not realize until I was moving furniture. Luckily I wrapped up the furniture in plastic. Truck was returned thd night before and the system crashedb three times. Staff did the best job possible with the long line and getting everyone out.

When technology fails.... The computer system was down when I picked up my truck. Thank God I had arrived really early, otherwise I would not have been able to meet my movers on time. This location had no paper forms to fill out by hand as a back-up in case the system was down. They had to use a mobile device to check in parties one-by-one. Not efficient at all. Staff was very polite and definitely did their best. It just seems like there should be a better way to handle technology failures.

Take care of the mosquito infestation in the pickup/dropoff area, answer the phone and recognize when a customer has gone out of their way to return equipment on time because you asked them to and be more accommodating in those instances. Don't ask me to go above and beyond when you are not willing to.

only 1 service rep. at counter..waited over an hour while she was helping another customer. horrible! so many computer problems loading drivers license. awful system checking out even though I did everything before hand. initially tried booking online. awful! said there wasn't any5x8,called customer service and waited almost 30 minutes for a pickup. inventories are not up to date at locations it seems. great product but your whole system from beginning to end is a disaster starting with this understaffed location .

The day before pick up UHaul called me and confirmed a different location from my originally requested pick up in Norwalk CT, It was to be at UHaul, Boston Ave, Bridgeport, CT. ( I have the transcript of the call if you want it). After a lengthy wait for service at the confirmed Boston Ave location I was informed by the only staff member manning a desk that the pick up was now changed to Uhaul's Pine St location which was several miles away. I had been dropped off and had no way of getting to Pine St but upon asking if there was anyone to give me a ride I was told that was not possible and that I could call customer service for help. I asked the person on duty to take responsibility and suggested that perhaps he should call customer service? His response was that it was my problem as it was my booking!!!! I went outside to call an UBER and was approached by José, a general manager for UHaul in Stamford CT, he was collecting a vehicle and had overheard my conversation with your staff member. José offered to drop me off at the Pine St depot on his way back to Stamford - He was apologetic on behalf of Uhaul and assured me that this would have been handled differently at his place. Thank goodness for people like José and what a pity that more UHaul employees don't have his attitude.

Have more pickup trucks to rent in the Bridgeport / Fairfield area. Also the ball size should be a standard 2”. Every other time I rented that was the size already installed. The pickup truck had a 2 5/8. I did own a 2” ball so I just switched it for towing but it required going home to get it.
