The guys who work here are friendly and knowledgeable. Everything with our move in and out went smoothly. Only thing that could make it better would be a loading dock that lines up with the height of a truck or van for loading and onloading heavy items. Come to think of it, they may have and we just didn't see it. I really liked that they have a room for people to leave furniture or items they no longer want or need so you can "shop" and take something you need. Love to see a good recycle/reuse in operation. That is very cool perk at this location.

The first truck had a check engine light and over 150 000 miles, the next two trucks would not stand and finally the fourth truck worked. The truck that is assigned to be rented should be checked before the customer arrives. Staff was very rude as well.

I wouldn't say the truck was dirty but it wasn't as clean as I would have liked. The drivers door does not seal. Maybe had been put I a bind at some time….. whistling wind and road noise were bad. But over all it got the job done and I appreciate the use of it!

There was trash in the van (beer can, food wrapping, etc). There was no agent around when I returned the van. I had to search for an agent to turn in the vehicle. There was also another customer who had been waiting about ten minutes for service when I got there.

They never have any of the cheaper smaller options "available " even though the parking lot is full. Uhual I drove had a busted window, was filthy inside, and started shaking like CRAZY at 35 mph. Brakes were squeaky. I was genuinely afraid for my life. I drove less than 15 miles. Gas gauge didn't move and yet I was charged an extra almost 30 for "gas". I needed a pickup truck to move sheetrock and ended up paying almost 100 for a dangerous dirty box truck.

the only thing not clean/maintained was the back bathroom. everything else was great. i struggled with paying my bill due to recent hard times and I was so graciously allowed to move my belongings instead of these wonderful guys auctioning my things. iI am so grateful and thankful for the understanding of my situation and allowing me the opportunity to keep my belongings. thank you so much. this is a really great faculty!

The inside of the Uhaul was so sticky. It looked and felt like soda had been spilt on the seats and the cup holders. I asked the man who helped me get the Uhaul checked in if the lock on the back of the Uhual had a key, that way I could lock up my items. I noticed many of the Uhaul's had locks on them. The man said that the lock attached to the back of the Uhaul did not belong to Uhaul and that he did not have a key for it. He told me to go get a bike lock to lock up my items. I proceeded to purchase a new lock to lock up my items and, in doing so, noticed that the lock still attached to the Uhaul was indeed Uhaul property and even had the "Uhaul" insignia stamped into the metal. I would have preferred if the man was just honest with me and had just told me that the company had lost the key to the lock vs. lying and saying the lock wasn't Uhaul property and was left there by someone else. Maybe he truly didn't know. It would be great if the Uhaul store could sell locks. I had to drive a good distance to find a store that sold locks.

The vehicle engine ran roughly. Steering wandered greatly. Would not be suitable for long distances. Luckily, I only used it locally ( <20 miles). Driver side rearview mirror made it difficult to see without nearly having to have window down to be able to stick my head over far enough.

Only one person working location and had to wait 20 minutes in store to get rental done. Was impressed with employee who handles my return but was supposed to receive a email with end result on payment. Never received anything after turn in of equipment.

Got charged for cleaning when the vehicle was dirty when I received it, and made a note of that before hand. The back was ripped up and muddy, and the previous user left trash in the door and their mail on the dash. Also, I was charge for gas, when I received the vehicle I only had 1/8 of a tank and brought it back with more gas than what was in it to start will. That is very frustrating. It seems as though no one actually checked the vehicle before putting back on the lot.

I initially rented a smaller unit because "I don't have that much stuff." Reality appeared about a week later and I needed to upsize. The U-Haul agents were "out of this world" helpful and kind! I have only good things to say about my entire experience with them. *** My initial voyage around the gutted out KMART store was not scenic at all. Brand new partitions lined from wall to wall. Clean, dry, well-lit building. I could NOT find my cubicle! Luckily, the nice cleaning lady informed me I was in the "Do it Yourself" section and I needed to explore the "Toys" section to find my spot. I knew exactly where to go. Away I went! Past the "Kitchen Korner," a 90 degree turn by "One Hour Photo" then a stroll through "Lay-a-Way" and VOILA....I FOUND MY SPOT! Happy I was to release my baggage! The best feeling ever! THANK-YOU U-HAUL! I was delighted with my experience!

Need new employees that won't lie about not having the equipment that one needs to use . The Kingsport office is worse trying to charge me double what I paid at this West state Street store. Your quality and ethics have gone from the greatest to being just a good place with very unprofessional and nefarious.

Be present. When I came in for my reservation there was noone present. I waited over 10 minutes before I even saw someone. I walked around the property and never saw anyone. I even rang the button that said call for assistance and still noone. The phone was ringing as well with no answer. When I arrived back at this location to return my rental the same thing. Noone was present. The second time was only about 4 to 5 minutes and he came out of what I'm assuming maybe was the office. The reservation was easy to make as well as pickup and drop off and the usual was nice and clean. The only recommendation would be to make sure the staff is easily seen and can be available when customers walk in.

I accidentally found the "wash" station so that I could be certain to leave the truck in good order. Once a person has used U-Haul it is easier the next time. But the first time is a little confusing. I prefer attendants rather than everything being self-service. I always have questions and like explicit instructions.

My issue is that I reserved with the App because I needed to start early. Only to arrive at the time I had set to find out that there was nothing ready. I had to wait almost 2 hours to when the store opened to get a truck. I had no notification from uhaul that there was gonna be a delay until I arrived to pick up the truck.

Upon check in no people available. Two working counter very slow.... was told we are too busy just leave contract we will get it taken care of. That was 10 am at 4 pm I saw truck parked same place I parked it. Went in to see if there was a problem as my deposit had not been returned. The truck had not been checked in yet. They wanted to charge me for extra day. After explaining what I had done the gentleman behind desk told me I should have waited I SHOULD Not have trusted his employees.... he then checked truck in and charged me for being late. I still have not received my deposit and was charged another 6,87 for something they can not say. I'm looking at NEVER USING UHAUL AGAIN! THANKS FOR THE POOR SERVICE IN A TIME THAT IS STRESSFUL ENOUGH.

Staff was very helpful with us. We really wish there was a service to move our things to a bigger unit, and have the U-Haul employees move it for us. We literally get 1 1/2 days a week off and work 12 1/2 hours a day five days a week so it's difficult for us. We also have more things to be stored. 423-278-4002 we work third so a message or text will be great if we don't answer.

Have the times the UBox is available to pick up match the published times. The message on hold states you can schedule through the app but the app says Unavailable to schedule. When calling to schedule, the on hold wait times are long.

Customer service is lacking at the establishment. All the team seemed like they were frustrated having to deal with customers. I sat under the return tent that states to stay in the equipment for several minutes. After this time no one came out so I went in and was told I didn't need to do anything "if the gas was right". No inspection for damage or anything of the sort. The truck I rented is in need of alignment badly as well. The steering wheel stayed turned significantly at all times. The back of the truck smelled of mildew and had a bunch of wet furniture covers in it. A little more care might go a long way in this establishment.

We were told the pods would be taken out of storage at 930 so we could empty them into a truck. By the time we got there and waited for them to move the pods out it was 1145. The staff were very friendly but seemed overwhelmed and needing more help.

The truck only had 1/4 of a tank when I picked it up and when I returned it with the same amount I was charged $130 extra because they put down that it originally had 11/16ths of a tank (which it most certainly did not). They also did not have the truck pulled up and ready for us when we arrived for our appointment. They handed us the keys and expected us to go find it in the grid of trucks and pull it out from between two other large trucks. The customer in line before us did not have an appointment but they were given the luxury of having their truck pulled up and ready for them. So, I'm not sure if this was a situation where they were ill prepared for our appointment that was scheduled in advance or what. I would suggest checking gas gauge levels at the time of the appointment to prevent making your customers feel taken advantage of. Their idea of addressing the issue involved asking if I had taken a picture of the gas gauge at pickup (which I should not have to do if they properly log accurate gas levels in the first place).

U-haul storage in Bristol, TN is a great place to keep your stuff. You can access your things any time in their climate controlled area. IT is safe, well lit and everything anyone could want in a storage facility.

No lock was in the unit as stated by the online check in. Also not a very good looks when there's roaches just as you walk into the facility. Then to top it off, you have a long term customer stating that they were getting their stuff out of their unit as fast as they could backside the facility was disgusting and the had a water leak right next to their unit.

When I paid my bill and tried to get my stuff there was a lock other than the one I had used I was not allowed to cut it and take my stuff now you are trying to make me pay more storage with no guarantee I can even get it so basically you stole my property I'm looking into court proceedings but I work out of state

Noah and the entire staff working 2/18 & 2/19 were great to work with. I'm glad to know that I get an entire month free to store my belongings and just because they were so pleasant I feel a sense of ease about my things and continuing month to month rental after the trial ends!!!! Very satisfied how quickly they were able to help me out with equipment rental plus storage on such a short notice because I lost my reservation number. They made a very stressful situation for my fiance and I alot better thanks to their kindness and willingness to help us. Will highly recommend to everyone!

Getting everything setup & going was extremely easy! The staff were very helpful with instructions to access the unit, how to get there, which entrance would be easiest. We also had to make an adjustment, and the staff took care of the problem no sweat! I'm very pleased and would recommend this option to anyone needing some storage.

Absolutely the best experience at this facility for storage rental. The staff was extremely helpful and went above expectations on my storage needs. On a separate note, the recommendation by uhaul for a third party to offload my items, was a disaster. The worst experience. It was over a year ago. I did find a new company to load up all the goods to my new home, and clear out the Uhaul storage. I found a company in Elizabethton TN called Bennett Movers. They were also absolutely the best movers. They treated my personal items as theirs. It was the most enjoyable move experience.

I highly recommend this facility. It's clean and secure, the hours are convenient, and the staff is very helpful. Plus, the vast majority of the storage units are in a climate-controlled building, which is well worth the slightly higher monthly fee,

They left one of my storage units locked with a tag. I did not need it but I could not use it if I had needed it.

Often times there wasn't staff available. We moved out and couldn't find anyone to tell. When I called it just rang then got connected to a service desk. She said I have to tell them in person. We were an hour away ! I asked why she couldn't just tell them herself. You need better software

I would give this area a much higher rating if the loading/unloading garage areas were available, they have everyone walking from the main entrance and placing people in storage units all the way at the end of the building I'd rather not have to do more hard work after I've already been moving all day. So I was dissatisfied with the fact they won't let you use the garage bays for unloading, also when i tried to disarm my unit at the main entrance it let me but then it kept denying me access to get in the door. Luckily there was still someone on site that could put her numbers in and hold the door open long enough for me to get in but even she couldnt tell me why it was denying me access to the door but letting me check in and out. 24 hour access would be nice as well.

I'm still a customer overall it's a great place. The only thing I wasn't happy with was being charged for some one else's unit. Still waiting for my refund. And still have to fight with my back since the improper payment for the unit made my account overdraft in the middle of a move.

I didn't ask to take a survey you asked me to take a survey. When soliciting someone for assistance of any kind it should be on the person's terms that you are soliciting from. So if I choose not to answer any of the questions above it should be taken at face value and I should not have to complete a survey in its entirety. Any information that I choose to give you should be good enough. Your customer service lacks because of these types of demands that you're placing on consumers. A customer feels that their boundaries are not being respected because when given opportunities to answer certain questions should they choose not to answer them but forcing them to complete a survey you're not building proper trust and relationships with your customers by doing so. Naturally this will probably fall on deaf ears and toss into a pile somewhere to which it will not be taken to heart and thus the brand loyalty and trust continue to decline.

trailer was dirty ! trash & grass ... i asked it be cleaned was promised it would be he removed 1 piece of trash *I cleaned the grass out when I dropped it off in Fla UHAULin general is a PITA ! I never had, not even one roach in my house and I go to check my storage unit and now my things are infested with roaches. This facility is clearly doing nothing for cleanliness and infestation. Also, I have access codes but every time I access my unit, alarms go off and I am unclear as to why this is?

When I first tried to get my unit there was nobody there that knew how to rent me the unit at 10am. After I got my stuff out after a month I had roaches all in my clothes. Bad service and not clean.

The security system card reader for the entrance to my area of storage was not working well and I could not access directly requiring assistance from the office. The card would read in the office but not at the door. Also, I reserved a 10 X 20 unit online but when I got there they said they did not even HAVE 10 X 20 units. The do have 10 X 15 but none were available so I had to rent two 10 X 10 units.

I had no problems but there was another woman that kept setting off the alarm while I was inside. There was also some sort of box that said "poison" in the unit I was renting. Hope you do not have a rodent problem.

I selected Uhaul storage solely because of the first month free. when arriving at the Bristol location, they had no record of my online check in and then they charged me for the first month. This is deceiving marketing and fraudulent. Website says first month is free with one way truck or trailer rental. I will not be staying more than this month.
