We were significantly delayed because my husband's ID number matched someone in another country's who did not pay their bill. Name and all other info was not the same as this person's but we still had to sit on the phone for 45 minutes to use the truck. A bag of hotdogs was in the car door of the truck we rented.Amy P.

Again, the people were very kind and helpful. However after dropping I was told the manager would call me for pricing and he never did. After dropping it off I got a call asking when I was going to drop it off. No way of contacting the store directly. Again- people were great, experience was stressful and time consuming.JULIA R.
Tighten the hitch! It came off the ball as as I went up the Willams St ramp onto I-24. The safety chains worked. Could have been a disaster. Looked like it had not been screwed down at all. Scared me so bad I'm still shaking. Somebody needs more training.Arthur L.

In this case again, a rudw dude that patronizingly pointed yelling from behind the counter whee the drop off was as if it was obvious to us. Uhaul is awful at treating customers with respect.Adriana R.
Teach your staff how to be professional and courteous. You represent every Uhaul. First impressions are very important and you truly failed in this area. You have to honor the consumers reservation. Changing the reservation at the time of pick up is a bad business practice. I reserved a dolly your store said you never have them. Secondly, you attempted to change the cost of the reservation, which would have been triple the amount that I had budgeted for. Kristine your Frontline cashier needs to be polished with knowing how to present herself and how to be a respectable rep for the company. Thirdly, your trucks need to be inspected prior to you checking it out to a customer. The truck was very dirty and smelled horrible. Doesn't sound like you have a well organized business. The board of this franchise needs to reconvene or close shop. Not a good representation of the Uhaul I am use to. Partner with somebody that knows the budiness.Cornelia W.

The store, grounds and facilities are nice and very well kept. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only drawback (which has nothing to do with the quality of the business and the service), is that it is located in a very sketchy area. Keep your head on a swivel and lock your doors.Stephen O.

Representative told me everything was fine with my equipment return and said I was good to go... ten minutes after I leave, I receive an email receipt showing a 50 $fuel fee despite returning vehicle with an 1/8th of a tank over my required volume. This is either theft or your employee needs glasses.Christopher K.

After the reservation was made days in advance when we got there to pick up the truck the clerk said he was over booked which almost cost me a 10 000 dollar job. After contacting other uhaul locations with no trucks available we decided to return to the braude st location that did have the truck i needed but had not been checked in. I was told that no trucks were available . Just as I was driving off the lot the clerk ran out an said he had a truck. This cost me a lot of time and almost a lot of moneyCarl H.

The roll-up door on my 5x8 trailer had one cable off of its pulley. This is the first time after many U-Haul rentals that I have ever had a problem. I still love U-Haul.Arthur L.

I made a reservation a week in advance and when I arrived to the store to pick up the truck and the auto transport they informed that the truck was not there. Next time could you please deliver on your promise next time. I ended up having to pay more money than what initially I was told.Benny B.

Due to the Ironman competition, we were forced to go 15 miles out of our way to get to the Uhaul store, both picking up and returning the truck! Which of course resulted in more mileage! It cost me right at 100 $including gas to rent a truck for 3 & 1/2 hours!! NEVER AGAIN! It says 19,95 $ with free in town mileage and I did NOT receive that privilege!! RIP OFF!!Lisa A.

Make sure that the trucks are properly serviced because the alignment was messed on my truck rental and they over charged me still. I am highly upset and I didn't have the truck but a couple of hours.Ronald P.
There was minimal info about storage options on the website for this specific location except its was on the second level based off that size. Most uhaul storage facilities are nice, climate controlled and secure. Plus they normally have an "upstairs" or multiple levels and to get upstairs there is atleast an elevator. There was NO elevator, only steps and this was not mentioned until after we got there. So as we are moving to this new city we have countless heavy items that we had to haul UP A FLIGHT OF STEPS when we thought we could just roll these things right up to a unit and unload quickly and efficiently. They knew we had an entire truck full of very large house items and didn't question the full uhaul to bring up a flight of old metal stairs. It would be one of the hardest things to haul up steps for two people. So being it was almost time for them to close up for the night, and we had no where else to go with this full truck we had to settle for this and if we had known ahead of time that this was how the facility was we would taken our business elsewhere. Upstairs was no better than a old warehouse, hot and definitely not climate controlled. One of the last times we were in there getting all this stuff out and DOWN A FLIGHT OF STEPS we had to sign out of the facility with the code. Said it was signed out but it never locked the door to the inside storage facilities so we thought the code didn't work since the door was still unlocked, so we opened the door as it was fully unlocked and the alarm went off. Of course they had all gone home for the night and we will get penalized if we do not sign out properly so as the alarm is going off both inside the facility and in the units no police ever came and we did not know what to do. The emergency after hours phone call person did not answer his phone and still did not call me back to this day (about 2 weeks ago) so we ended up calling 911 ourselves to let them know that we are tenants at the storage unit and their doors are not locking properly and that they need to be aware of this as this is not a great part of town. It's good to know that the storage facility is probably improperly unlocked all day long and night and our valuables are all in one storage unit in this building. The employees are mostly helpful but not the most pleasant people. We will not be coming back here and we will be finding a newer nicer more secure storage unit for our things next time … And we have used family owned storage units in the past that have been nicer than this. I'm glad we didn't have to pay a dime for this place.Abigail H. | Expérience générale
