I'm just not happy with this experience and I'm going to have a hard time using u-haul in the future. Thank you for the opportunity to give some feedback on this terrible experience.
RYAN H.Give afterhour drop off instructions at pickup. Provide a printed copy of pertinent information like gas gauge and mileage at pickup. After an 18 hour day of loading and unloading it was very frustrating to try to figure out the after hours drop off procedure. And the app never did detect that I was sitting in the parking lot.
Susan B.Please add to your check list online that if you are dropping off after hours too long in online. I didn't realize I had to long in online until after I dropped my keys in the box.

Elina S.We had problems with the back tires, the inside tires of the two sets on the back. One was flat and the other was low. The driver was concerned about driving back to Chattanooga wher the truck was leased. I called roadside service and they were 90 minutes arriving. The driver was due to go to work at 5: but was unable to leave and stayed until the tires were replaced. It was dark when roadside completed the job and driver was unable to go to work. Robert E.I pulled under the vehicle return canopy 30 mins before closing. No one came out. I went in, and same lack of interest that I was there. A lady appeared and grunted "you returning?" She was gone 10 minutes, came back and said "your all done, 171 miles". I mentioned the experience I had in Nashville - again little to no interest expressed, except for a nice young man who appeared and engaged me for a few minutes. I commented on the below 1/4 gas tank and that I had been sure gauge was above 1/4, and the lady chimed in "no it wasn't!". I said "I assure you it is well above 1/4 tank, did you charge me for gas??" She replied "no". And I left shaking my head. Really awful.
Emily M.Your app is the worst app to use. It doesn't communicate well with your system. It requires multiple logins to be able to reserve a trailer or truck. It does t send the information to the pick up location. EVERY executive in the company should download the app and try to make a reservation. Maybe then something will be done. I have rented dozens of vehicles from you over the years.
John V.We did the contactless pick up and drop off which was WAY more of a pain. The keys were not put in the correct box so we had to go inside anyway.

JOHN C.The drop off for trailers was not good it was designed for trucks when you pull into a single line pulling a trailer at it is difficult to drop off the trailer in the drop off line and get your vehicle out as well. You need a trailer drop off with a 45-degree exit for the vehicle pulling the trailer

tammie H.There was minimal info about storage options on the website for this specific location except its was on the second level based off that size. Most uhaul storage facilities are nice, climate controlled and secure. Plus they normally have an "upstairs" or multiple levels and to get upstairs there is atleast an elevator. There was NO elevator, only steps and this was not mentioned until after we got there. So as we are moving to this new city we have countless heavy items that we had to haul UP A FLIGHT OF STEPS when we thought we could just roll these things right up to a unit and unload quickly and efficiently. They knew we had an entire truck full of very large house items and didn't question the full uhaul to bring up a flight of old metal stairs. It would be one of the hardest things to haul up steps for two people. So being it was almost time for them to close up for the night, and we had no where else to go with this full truck we had to settle for this and if we had known ahead of time that this was how the facility was we would taken our business elsewhere. Upstairs was no better than a old warehouse, hot and definitely not climate controlled. One of the last times we were in there getting all this stuff out and DOWN A FLIGHT OF STEPS we had to sign out of the facility with the code. Said it was signed out but it never locked the door to the inside storage facilities so we thought the code didn't work since the door was still unlocked, so we opened the door as it was fully unlocked and the alarm went off. Of course they had all gone home for the night and we will get penalized if we do not sign out properly so as the alarm is going off both inside the facility and in the units no police ever came and we did not know what to do. The emergency after hours phone call person did not answer his phone and still did not call me back to this day (about 2 weeks ago) so we ended up calling 911 ourselves to let them know that we are tenants at the storage unit and their doors are not locking properly and that they need to be aware of this as this is not a great part of town. It's good to know that the storage facility is probably improperly unlocked all day long and night and our valuables are all in one storage unit in this building. The employees are mostly helpful but not the most pleasant people. We will not be coming back here and we will be finding a newer nicer more secure storage unit for our things next time … And we have used family owned storage units in the past that have been nicer than this. I'm glad we didn't have to pay a dime for this place.
