Make sure your trucks are accessible. The truck was in a puddle of water and I had to call Uhaul and go to another location and get a truck.

We made two reservations - each for a 20-foot truck, and when we arrived, they only had one truck available for us. We had to scramble to find a second truck elsewhere so that we could complete our move. I made the reservations months ago and had both confirmation numbers. We are incredibly unhappy and dissatisfied with our experience.

Nothing they did a great job getting me in and out right away with my trailer rental. I have used this location a couple times and am always pleased with the service. Even when there are a lot of people that show up all at once.

Based on my observation, when short staffed the manager steps up and does EVERYTHING. She's amazing. she juggles all those plates in the air while processing reservations and talking to a customer on the phone and coaching a new staff member and lining up equipment to drive to another city to assist other uhaul stores. Freaking amazing. I don't use any other uhaul store.

Need to place air-conditioning in these trucks.... It's difficult to drive the trucks in the summer time when it's extremely hot and there is no air.

Excellent and seamless experience. 100 % satisfied with drop off/pick up/storage and drop off again. Moved from one city to another, also had not confirmed where we were going to end up, this was a stress free way to store our items during the transition. Uhaul recommended 3 containers, I chose to get 2- wish I would have listened and ordered 3. We did not get any moving blankets with our rental.

The only disagreement I have with this site is, in the past we were told that if we over fill the gas tank we would be reimbursed this site didn't refund us when we were filled !/4 tank more.

When I arrived there I received the wrong size truck, and I was told that if I drove all the way out to this location I would receive the truck that I wanted. In which I did not receive the truck that I wanted, they said that U-Haul had called me and told me that but I never received a call. The people that work there were very nice to me, I was just unhappy with my situation. And my truck was dirty inside there were sticky stuff all over the floor and the passenger seat. Which got all over my daughters clothes and her purse. So I was sad not to receive a personal phone call about them switching the size of my truck and me driving all the way across town to another location it wasted over an hour of my time!

Very happy with the whole process of renting two trucks on two separate occasions. Also rented 2 storage units which were very clean. Access to our storage was easy as well.

The truck was clean and ran well, but apparently had a fuel leak. I could smell gas, there was liquid on the ground, but I drive 15-20 miles and the fuel gauge dropped from 5/16th to E in less miles than that. The people at the center treated me well, but the leak concerned me.

Excellent service all around. Second time in a month renting a truck from this location and both times service was great. We also rented storage at this location and that worked out extremely well also.

The customer service was acceptable, the equipment however was NOT. There were no brake pads on the driver side, which was not noticed until driving through the Ozark mountains in Missouri where I lost all breaks and could have died along with my children. Negligence of vehicle maintenance is unacceptable. There was no break pad or pin on the driver side. Pictures and thorough documentation has been obtained. We are still waiting to hear from the Michigan office concerning this matter. We are NOT at all impressed nor satisfied.

Honestly, it was what it was. Service was poor. Upon entry I waited 5-7 mins before help arrived. Upon returning I stood at the counter for at least 20 min. Someone In the office was on a call but should have shut the door(nothing worst than A. Hearing a private convo and B. Knowing someone can't wrap it up to help a customer)…. Someone walked through but didn't help. I finally gave up and stumbled through the return on my phone. While 2 additional employees walked by. I can't believe it but it took a week to get my final receipt and survey. Maybe it's not all the fault of the franchise owner but I dislike renting from U-Haul. Always waiting, franchise owners deal with complaints instead of corporate. Corporate sends you back to the franchisee.

There was nobody outside to check in the truck, even though all of the signs tell you to wait with the truck. Had to go inside and wait for people to finish reserved a storage unit before I could turn in my keys....which took 30 seconds.

I was charged $20 for gas after filling the tank because they rated it at 3/4 of a tank when it was full. Unfortunately it was the only thing that I forgot to take a picture of.

During pickup the attendant was great. She was friendly and helpful in all areas. Answered our questions. Only suggestion she needs to warn people before using her personal phone to snap ID pics and upload them online. The attendant for return was very rude. Didn't greet us and she carried on a conversation with her co workers about TikTok while we stood there and waited. Took my keys. Never did a walk thru for return. Told me she would send me my receipt. Sent me a invoice with a $20 fee for AFTER HOURS (drop off was 231pm) even though my reservation was until 430pm and thry were open until 5pm today. Then when I called about my charge she was very rude and not happy. Acted like I bothered her.

Given a U-box trailer with a broken jack. When returning I had to wait 30+ minutes for personnel and equipment to be able to unhook the trailer. Final delivery was 12 days late. Very difficult to get anyone at Byron Center to answer the phone.

When picking up the key, I was left waiting by the general manager for several minutes. This was because she finished a task. Furthermore, an employee clearly walked away without offering or acknowledging me. Lastly, there was a bay that was not working and was treated rudely by staff as well there was no indication this was not working. Customer service was horrible at this location!

We had a reservation for a pick up at another site. When we got there there was not a truck. He is a new as a U Haul dealer, so that could have been part of it. He got on the phone and helped find another truck.

Process was so easy. I would need a trailer a lot to buy one instead of renting from U-Haul. Very happy with the process. My only complaint would be for the web site to provide a good explanation of returning after after hours

i had to make MANY calls to get these boxes dropped off / picked up / dropped off and picked up again. It seemed like nobody could understand that I was moving to a new location and not to a long term storage situation. it all turned out fine (within a couple of days) but only through constant follow up.

To improve service you should READ CUSTOMERS COMMEMTS! I wanted to dispute the gas level and waited to hear from UHaul. Rather, they IGNORED my request and charged me account WITHOUT APPROVAL! Not ok. Very unprofessional.

Rented a 26 foot truck from Battle Creek Mich on June 6. Had to drive over an hour to pick one up that size in Bryron center. very frustrating! Truck had less than 1/8 of gas I know you don't have a gas station onsite but filling trucks at least on 1/2 would be great. The app you log into when picking up your truck and to upload pictures of mileage and fuel wasn't working as designed.

Location is in a convenient location. It's a large one that also includes inside and outside storage. Customer service person was friendly and got me assigned to my vehicle quickly. Return was a breeze, 24 hour drop off at this location as well.

Sonya Will went above and beyond to help me . They were Extremely understaffed .the employee I had first made a mistake and rented me a smaller unit I needed a bigger one. I did not have time to wait to change so I called while I was taking a trip and left a message.Sonya called me telling me all was set and made the change to the correct unit and all I had to do was drop in and get my new card and map that was there waiting for me . I was extremely impressed with the customer service I received from her. Thank you . she had no staff and had 6 customers in there to handle by herself at that time.. when I came back in 2 hours later , Rick was also very helpful and made sure all was as it should be before I left .

Manager Sonya Ellis and staff are awesome! Beautiful facility as well, very well-kept. Unfortunately, U-Haul has the worst software and computer system I have seen for modern Company that ha been a business as long as you have. Every time I've been in there the computers crash, and it's difficult for the employees to navigate you're stupid software. Does clicking on things more often make it a better system? Not very user-friendly, or customer friendly. I hope you didn't actually pay somebody to create this software. Employees were awesome though!

Everything was great with the storage unit rental. It was well secure, well lit, no mess anywhere, very clean bathrooms, very clean load and unloading docks. The price was a little high for that storage unit though other than that we appreciate you all protecting and storing our belongings.

I believe the manager was Amy Swill. Everytime I have been there she visibly and vocally is in a horrible mood and treats her co-workers like crap in front of customers. She seems to pick in Rick Poll who is always very friendly and helpful. I cannot believe she is allowed to be in charge of anyone or anything. Please address her consistently awful behavior. It makes try to rent anything an uncomfortable experience.

Sonya was a rockstar! She was there primarily by herself and really was taking care of everything. I was very pleased with the whole experience that I had other than the key drop box. The vehicle I was returning had a key phob connected to the key and it wouldn't fit into the drop box. I tried prying on the box to be able to properly drop my rental off and the door fell open and that made me very nervous for extra charges. Other than that, it was as close to perfect as you could get!

To begin we were guaranteed a 20ft truck (the only size that would work for moving to a new state) at a specific location nearby. The day before pick-up we were contacted and told that truck size doesn't exist at the guaranteed location and we could drive to a further location for a 15 ft truck (way too small!) They should've delivered the truck to our location instead of making us drive 3 hours round trip, taking 3 hours out of a workday and losing us that part of a days paycheck and wasting our time and stress. Once we got the truck unloaded and headed to the storage unit we'd pre-registered and that was included free with our one way truck rental, the trouble and headaches kept coming. We were originally given a 10x5 at another facility, but when we got to the unit, it's actual measurements were 5x5, even the worker said that happens, that U-Haul's dimension of storage spaces don't always match the dimensions they advertise them as, he measured it for us for confirmation. We had to call customer service (plus 15 minutes of in hold time) to locate another facility with the size we needed because the store was unable to look it up or call them. We had no way of double-checking with the new facility whether they actually had the unit available in that size, and the worker at the one we were at wasn't able to for us (ridiculous they can't call another store locally to check!). We had to blindly drive to the new facility. Upon arrival, check-in was smoothish. The young man wasn't thorough and missed some things we had to correct for him. Then he sent us to our unit and forgot to come unlock our unit for us so we had to go remind them we were there 30 minutes later to which the guy said he'd forgotten we were there. He didn't warn us of the sticky trap on the floor of the unit or point it out at all so I accidentally stepped on it moving something into the unit and ruined the bottoms of good running shoes. All of this made us late for our rented truck drop off time, and lower on fuel for drop off than we were supposed to be, we wouldn't have been if this hadn't all been wrong. Not only was this a drain on finite fossil fuel resources, it was a waste if our time, adding an additional hour of driving around for U-Haul's mistake. This all also made us so late that we missed a ticketed event and were unable to get a refund. Very dissatisfied with the company and the customer service as a whole for wasting at least 5 hours of our time, energy, and emotions.

The manager and staff are very courteous and professional. They were attentive, answered all my questions, and helped me solve problems quickly. Other than being very busy and under staffed the store was great. However my on-line reservation for the storage unit was worthless! Even though on-line confirmed my storage unit, when I showed up there was no unit available to rent. I tried calling another store but must have been directed to your main call center. The person who helped me reserve over the phone got me the correct size confirmed available but when I showed up to the store I was informed the only two units were on the second and fourth floor and there is no elevator. I finally went to a third location before I was able to get the unit.

Sonya and Vincent did a great job of helping me despite the system being down. This made it really difficult to get moved in to storage and rent a truck. Nothing was really explained how anything worked there and had to make several return trips to the front desk (and wait several minutes because of the line) to just ask "How do I even get in to the bay?" or "What truck should I take?" I know part of this was because the system was down and everything was crazy, but it was a huge time waster. A simple video on the app would have worked way better.
