The lady said that when we return the uhaul that we wouldn't be charged as much as we did but by time we returned it which we didn't even have the uhaul for a full 24 hours they charged us more. The furniture pads should be made from a different type of material, because the pads uhaul offers sticks to furniture that is made of fabric. Other than that every thing went very well.Jessie B.
Before asking, while I was at the counter, they sent me a text message to upload my driver's license, instead of just taking my license and scanning it themselves. My phone does not have internet or a camera. When I said this, the employee seemed very inconvenienced having to scan my license herself. I rejected the insurance multiple times. However, it seemed the credit card kiosk where I was rejecting it (in addition to rejecting it online when I made the reservation) was glitching during the time. Not sure what happened, but I ultimately found out I was charged $60 for trailer insurance I absolutely did not want and absolutely rejected multiple times, and do not recall signing for.Samuel L.

Overall the truck was clean and in great shape we rented a 26 ft and it was plenty big for what we needed. It handled nicely. I wish there would have been some quilts to cushion and cover stuff but we managed. The pricing was reasonable I would definitely recommend Uhaul!debbie V.

Pick up location was switched from walker michigan to Byron center Michigan 45 minutes after pickup time. I had to drive 30 minutes in the opposite direction of my storage unit to get the truck, then back to my storage unit I'm walker. The miliage was comped, but I had to pay for gas!Nicolas T.
The gas gauges in the vehicles are not properly represented by your graphics. It's hard to see how much you really need to replenish. Staff was efficient but brusque. Also, I was contacted as to why I had not picked up the truck. I got the key around 9:30 and told the manager I would be back later with my crew. I don't know why they felt they had to call me. I paid for the truck, why did it matter if I used it at all?Susan B.

The manager is rude, unprofessional, and not knowledgeable when it comes to uhual policy. I've rented from several locations and countless times. I've never experienced this behavior anywhere else. To be clear, the gentleman that initially helped was professional and courteous and explained in detail. I was then overcharged twice when calling to extend the rental over the phone. The employee that answered tried to help but did not bother to inform her manager of the over charge and how she changed the due back time. Which led to another rental day. The interior of the truck needed to be wiped down, since there was dirt/grime everywhere. Also, we had to stop twice at the gas station, since the tank had just about a 1/4 tank of gas at pickup. I would recommend having the tank full upon receipt.Brian D.

When I arrived to do a mobile pickup I could not find the vehicle that was assigned to me. I went inside and was told by the staff never to use the mobile pickup because it doesn't work. Then they tell me my vehicle was just given to another customer. They gave me keys to another vehicle and I asked where it was parked and they said out frontâ€¦it wasn't. After searching for 15 minutes we found it but it was blocked in by 2 other vehicles and they had to be moved. Thankfully a different staff person assisted and apologized but none of the other staff did or even checked to see if we got on the road. Pitiful!Jeffrey C.

Truck was dirty. It did not have 1/4 tank of fuel like they said it did. They charged for the insurance coverage that I declined. Also had another charge that I can't figure what it's for. Good luck trying to call the store they NEVER answer the phone. I rent from uhaul multiple times a year. Never again! Penske will have my business going forward.Steve P.
We had to return the next day to get the car dolly because the lights were not working on the original pick-up day. That was not a big deal but when we got to our destination, we had been charged for a furniture dolly and pads that we never got or needed because we had no furniture to move. Return link in the text message said the link was no longer valid. I was returning my vehicle after hours. Logged into my account, tried to follow return instructions but system was not allowing me to answer return questions. Tried on 3 different phones, none worked. Finally just dropped my keys and decided to call in the AM. Call in AM, sit on hold for 20 minutes. When someone picks up, they hang up right away. I call back, sit on hold again. Person says that I'll just have to wait to see if the location checks in my car and that I'll be charged a $20 processing fee. The whole process was not simple, frustrating, and expensive.Ashley Z.
Sonya Will went above and beyond to help me . They were Extremely understaffed .the employee I had first made a mistake and rented me a smaller unit I needed a bigger one. I did not have time to wait to change so I called while I was taking a trip and left a message.Sonya called me telling me all was set and made the change to the correct unit and all I had to do was drop in and get my new card and map that was there waiting for me . I was extremely impressed with the customer service I received from her. I tried to pick up a trailer today. I waited in the lobby for more than 15 minutes before someone came to the desk to help. Even after submitting my online order, the chains to connect to the tow vehicle wouldn't work and I had to wait for a tech to go buy new parts. Over an hour to get a trailer and late to my appointment to meet the people who were helping. Very poor service.Matthew W.

Manager Sonya Ellis and staff are awesome! Beautiful facility as well, very well-kept. Unfortunately, U-Haul has the worst software and computer system I have seen for modern Company that ha been a business as long as you have. Every time I've been in there the computers crash, and it's difficult for the employees to navigate you're stupid software. Does clicking on things more often make it a better system? I believe the manager was Amy Swill. Everytime I have been there she visibly and vocally is in a horrible mood and treats her co-workers like crap in front of customers. She seems to pick in Rick Poll who is always very friendly and helpful. I cannot believe she is allowed to be in charge of anyone or anything. Please address her consistently awful behavior. I was very pleased with the whole experience that I had other than the key drop box. The vehicle I was returning had a key phob connected to the key and it wouldn't fit into the drop box. I tried prying on the box to be able to properly drop my rental off and the door fell open and that made me very nervous for extra charges. To begin we were guaranteed a 20ft truck (the only size that would work for moving to a new state) at a specific location nearby. The day before pick-up we were contacted and told that truck size doesn't exist at the guaranteed location and we could drive to a further location for a 15 ft truck (way too small!) They should've delivered the truck to our location instead of making us drive 3 hours round trip, taking 3 hours out of a workday and losing us that part of a days paycheck and wasting our time and stress. Once we got the truck unloaded and headed to the storage unit we'd pre-registered and that was included free with our one way truck rental, the trouble and headaches kept coming. We were originally given a 10x5 at another facility, but when we got to the unit, it's actual measurements were 5x5, even the worker said that happens, that U-Haul's dimension of storage spaces don't always match the dimensions they advertise them as, he measured it for us for confirmation. We had to call customer service (plus 15 minutes of in hold time) to locate another facility with the size we needed because the store was unable to look it up or call them. We had no way of double-checking with the new facility whether they actually had the unit available in that size, and the worker at the one we were at wasn't able to for us (ridiculous they can't call another store locally to check!). We had to blindly drive to the new facility. Upon arrival, check-in was smoothish. The young man wasn't thorough and missed some things we had to correct for him. Then he sent us to our unit and forgot to come unlock our unit for us so we had to go remind them we were there 30 minutes later to which the guy said he'd forgotten we were there. He didn't warn us of the sticky trap on the floor of the unit or point it out at all so I accidentally stepped on it moving something into the unit and ruined the bottoms of good running shoes. All of this made us late for our rented truck drop off time, and lower on fuel for drop off than we were supposed to be, we wouldn't have been if this hadn't all been wrong. Not only was this a drain on finite fossil fuel resources, it was a waste if our time, adding an additional hour of driving around for U-Haul's mistake. This all also made us so late that we missed a ticketed event and were unable to get a refund. Very dissatisfied with the company and the customer service as a whole for wasting at least 5 hours of our time, energy, and emotions.Heather P. | Premières impressions

Other than being very busy and under staffed the store was great. However my on-line reservation for the storage unit was worthless! Even though on-line confirmed my storage unit, when I showed up there was no unit available to rent. I tried calling another store but must have been directed to your main call center. The person who helped me reserve over the phone got me the correct size confirmed available but when I showed up to the store I was informed the only two units were on the second and fourth floor and there is no elevator. Sonya and Vincent did a great job of helping me despite the system being down. This made it really difficult to get moved in to storage and rent a truck. Nothing was really explained how anything worked there and had to make several return trips to the front desk (and wait several minutes because of the line) to just ask "How do I even get in to the bay?" or "What truck should I take?" Purchased unit on line . went to the location walked into the store to get paperwork and keys. I stood there with not a soul in sight for 10 minutes, then walked out. drove around looking for employees...started a chat online to figure out how to get the keys to my unit, walked back in and there were 2 ladies at the counter, I had good reason to believe that someone informed them about my comlaint..ill leave it at that. The management has control issues and makes up policies as they go along tbat suits them. I would NEVER in a million years ever use this facility again or recommend it to anyone. The staff didn't seem to know what they were doing, it took a very long time to check in and get our trailer hooked up, the storage unit was too small and then when given a different storage unit we were born given the right card. I was offered a job with federal government, however, I had to relocate to another state to accept the position. This is what brought me to Uhaul. Initially, everyone appeared to be nice and helpful. Unfortunately, after a small mishap on my part, resulting in damage (for which I paid for in full), the manager became very unprofessional and condescending. Additionally, after moving my items out of the free storage, I had to call several times (with no return call) in order to close out the unit. Thankfully, I won't have a need for Uhaul services any time soon. However, after my experience at this location, I will forego using Uhaul in the future and go with Penske or another moving company.ADEOLA A. | Expérience générale
