The low air tire pressure light was on (rear passenger side) the whole time, which means they rented me a vehicle that was not maintained or inspected very well. The guy who was waiting for me at the vehicle told me everything was good to go and he started up the vehicle for me beforehand and drove it from across the lot to me, so he should have noticed this. Overall, the service was quick, the use of technology to save on paperwork was very efficient, easy and the whole process went smoothly. I will recommend this location to friends or family or use it again myself, however, now I know before I drive off, to make sure they have checked everything.

Check engine light lit up 10 minutes after leaving lot. Customer service told us to call roadside assistance, which never picked up- only referred to website. Not having data available, that option was not workable. Service which doesn't answer a phone is NO SERVICE AT ALL.

Gave me small truck that has a leaking gas just found out when we put gas. They should verify or let us know what time we have to drop the truck. The time in the contract is 9:22 AM Why they want us to drop the truck @ 8: AM. We left the place around after 9:30 AM. Because it was park at the back of the building. Why sent me link txt to drop to a place that open @ 10:00AM. So confusing.

This location is too crowded to have adequate access to my usual uboxes. I set up an appointment a week in advance and confirmed the night before. I had hourly movers there to help me. The containers got separated when the manager came in into 2 locations causing the drivers to load, secure then move and load again costing me extra money. The manager of this spot is incompetent and the blond lady driving the forklift would rather talk with her boyfriend then move a container for my truck to back in. She was rude and not very bright.

Joe and the other staff friendly and helpful, gook folks! Wish there could have been a briefing on the operating features of the truck, lights, outlets, etc. Backup when pumping gas due to inadequate venting experienced which made it difficult to fuel. Overall very satisfied with the experience.

Even though this location was fine, my experience with U-Haul for this rental was terrible and I will not use you again. I made a reservation for 24/7 pickup at another location for a 10 foot truck at 0800 (which the website listed as the opening time of that location). The day before my pick U-Haul called to say 24/7 pickup was not available at the location and they didn’t open until 1030. I agreed to pickup the truck at 1030. Then at 0845 on the day I was to pickup the truck, you called again this time to say the 10 foot wasn’t available but I could have a 15 foot for an increased rate or drive another 5 miles out of my way (and increased mileage fees) and get a 10 foot truck. I agreed to the 15 foot truck at the original location and was then told that the location wouldn’t be open until 1100. I then changed the reservation to the Canyon Country location and paid the extra mileage. This is one of the worst costumer service experiences I have had and will absolutely not use UHaul nor recommend you to anyone else again because of it. You can’t force people to pay extra fees and not honor a reservation that you took. When this happens last minute, your customers have no choice but to pay an increased fee. If a mistake was made on your end, I should have been given a truck at the rate I agreed to pay, not forced to pay more for your error. Terrible job by UHaul and I would highly recommend some customer service training on your end to avoid loosing other costumers in the future.

Provide information on how far away the center is from the address the is the ultimate destination. I was setting this up for my daughter ... SHE knows Los Angeles, I do not. So I was surprised to find that this center was 45 minutes away from her address. We chose to go with the home delivery, which worked, but was also extra expense. Overall however, the service was great. And your prices are SO much better than a competitor's that I received (and they didn't even provide any packing blankets). Thanks much!

I rent a pick up truck for 6hr. Now I arrived back to the leasing location 2hrs before my agreed time. I turn on the key we did a walk thru and I was waiting to paid, when I received a call from the gentleman who had contracted me for a job asking me if I was able to make one last trip. I I approach the desk and spoke to the cashier Michael, I explain my situation to him and without even giving it a second though inform me that there was nothing he could do to help me out that the vehicles was already placed on hold and it was to late. He pulled up a list of rentals on the computer screen and said " if I click it , it just go's back " but never click on it. So I was froce to re-rent the vehicle and pay the 19.95 +10 dollars to use the vehicle again. Didn't bother calling a supervisor to see what could be done to help me out. I we proceed the new rental agreement I asked him if it was possible to help me out with some kind of deal with the miles. I suggested if there was a way to get some free miles as I have received them before in the past with other Uhaul rentals and his answer was" ain't nothing free in this word pal" well I was very sad to hear this gentleman responded with such a ugly look at life. Whatever happened to customer service. Customer service was developed and perfected by or fathers and mothers and there fathers and mother's. So that the hard working customer would feel great about renting or purchasing a product for the needs and convenience. Now it seems like the customer service attitude is " you either like what we got or fuck off. Thanks Michael for showing me how U-haul ready feels about there customers. Becuause its hard for the blue collar American to make more then a buck out here but you aren't just taking the little extra that I could have made by saving me those $30, I mean I was still going to be paying 0.69 cents a mile but you also spit in my face by telling me that nothing is free in this world. Well Michael its because people like you have no idea what it means to love thy brother like you love thy self. Your ready going to make empoye of the century by making a billion dollar corporations like U-haul those extra 30 dollars that I had to pay. Customer is something everybody should take a look at and where its headed. Because if there is no customer there is no need for your service.

I booked online to avoid any problems however my truck was double booked and I had to do the in store booking all over again. They were unsure what happened but did get me into a new truck pretty quickly. My only complaint is the truck was given to me almost in empty with gas, didn’t like that I had to go get gas the moment I rented the truck. I had a busy day of moving with time schedules and getting gas the very moment of driving away wasn’t part of the plan and don’t think it should have been. Returning the truck, only had 1 person there so it took some time however he was very nice and helpful.

I was given a truck with a little more than half a tank of gas, and when I forgot to refill was informed about $30 service fee for anything less than a quarter. Seriously, if that is the case, you need to have the tank full!!!!!!!!!! I added $30 in gas as the tech said it would take 7 gallons based on his review of paperwork. IT came up with just under half a tank and I thought maybe I would be charged about $10 to get it up. Then I was charged an additional $55!!!!!!! No way did that truck take 10 gallons more AT $5 A GALLON to get it to the SAME guage! This is a total Rip off and I will comment on Yelp about this as well. This is a BAD policy and puts your reps in the position of apologizing often. It looks like your company is gauging people! Overall, everything else was fine except for store being understaffed so people have to wait a long time. Sadly, even though I rented a truck for 6 days, this will be what I remember because it really irked me.

I did have a discrepancy on the price that I was quoted for the trailer. My original quote was over $100 less than the price that I was charged. Customer service is currently looking into this and hopefully I will receive a credit for the difference. There should be consistent pricing. There should also be a way to review a phone conversation immediately, rather than making someone wait.

My biggest complaint is that the trucks should have a full tank of gas when you pick it up. When I got my truck it only had about a quarter of a tank in it. Everything else was great and the staff was excellent.

I picked up the rental truck on April 19th and the young lady at the register was so pleasant and helpful. The manager that we spoke to that morning was super friendly. The truck was clean and in good condition. The only thing was the gas was less than what was in the tank, I had to put $25.00. Otherwise I would definitely recommend this location. When I rented the trailer I told them I was gonna do an after hours drop , while in transit I called the drop location they told me I cannot drop a trailer after hours and that I would have to do it during business hours which was not possible for me do to my work hours, after the 3rd call to uhauls 1800 # i was told I can return after hours as long as I use mobile app to check it in, the people at the drop location we’re no help , this rental experience has been very unpleasant !

1. Strong WiFi for 24/7 check in. 2. Better email direction to check browser location services. 3. Having trucks available at time of pick-up, not blocked. 4 24 hour service for all the above. 5. Having everything that was ordered in truck. 6. Having a refund available for trucks returned early. Due to not being able to check in without good WiFi and not being aware to put browser location on, we weren’t able to get keys until an hour later then pick up time. Plus truck was blocked front and behind. Had to drive home or wait 2 hrs for location to open. Returned and no appliance dolly in truck. Agent at place when complained said we could have another. Didn’t need another and even brought truck back early. Have called canyon country, Ca U-Haul and left messages to to to GM and have not received a call. Not happy!

I was not allowed to do an overnight drop off, and this affected my schedule the next day. Also I wasn’t asked if I wanted to do a self check out of the Uhaul, but rather told that I would get a text and do it myself. First, your website said truck would be ready in 6 hours—NOT that I only had it for 6 hours! Very confusing, and even your rep acknowledged your website can be confusing. I was under the impression I would have it for 24 hours. As it turned out, I could only have it for 4 hours. Second, the truck was a bit dirty when I got it. Third, the truck is horrible on gas mileage—-not even 6 miles to the gallon! In summary, I’ve used your services several times now, but this was not the best reservation. Your reps were nice; it’s your process that needs some fine-tuning. Thanks!

When i ordered on the phone, they got a bunch of details wrong. First, they placed me at a uhaul that was 14 miles away from where i lived, when they was literally one right down the street from me. Then they placed the pickup at noon , not 830 am like a wanted. Then i asked for a regular dolly...i ended up with a appliance dolly. So i paid about 30 bucks more than i needed to because of the extra miles. Not overly happy.

This was my 3rd experience with U-box delivery, pick-up and transit services. I had zero issues previously. This time was a competed disaster every step of the way, the pick-up & delivery in CA and the pick-up & delivery in SC, a total lack of communication and confusion despite my multiple efforts in person, by phone and text. The list of problems, including damage and a nightmare of a mess at the pick-up location that U-haul completely disregarded, transferring me back & forth from agents and call centers without any result, was beyond frustrating at a time when I could afford it least. I have photographs of my driveway and the way it was left. I spoke with Jim Decker (Pasadena manager) multiple times until he would no longer respond to my calls. Customer issue: ignored! The delivery in Charleston was more aggravation: wrong U-haul location, nobody seemed to know what was going on, more call centers, a week delay getting access to the box, then dropped off in the wrong spot because I was given no time frame to meet the delivery—U-haul failed on its most basic customer service, time and time again. I hope all of my calls were recorded as the message says as proof of how many times I've attempted to manage/confirm this order. My initail rental request was for pickup in lancaster for 26ft truck. After making reservation I was informed that only truck available was in canyon country 45 miles away. I was given an extra day and 100 free miles but was not informed that I would be paying for one way from canyon country to my new home in tehachapi 90 miles away and an extra 100+ dollars. I think the woman that checked me out is named Tracy. If every employee at Uhaul was like her, you guys would be great. Truth be told, every experience I've had with Uhaul has been negative. Horribly negative. Dealing with Tracy, everything got off to a good start. My only gripe is upon checking in you guys attempted to charge me for 2 days. I had checked out the equipment at 5 p.m. the day before. I was returning it at about 4 pm. I think I had told you that I had planned on returning it at about 3 pm. I guess based on what I had said you are now trying to charge me for 2 days. Charging someone a price different then what you advertise is against the law in the state of California. This is illegal. After discussion, your employee changed this and only charged me for one day. That really, this should not have taken place at all. It makes me question competency of the U-Haul corporate office who obviously designed this system.

I was directed to move my vehicle to a location in the back, where I was told by this black woman I would be helped. We sat there for about 15 minutes, then my fiance went into the office and told a male employee that we where still waiting, he told her he would call someone immediately to help us. A couple minutes later a younger hispanic guy walked past us sitting in the truck, and went to the rear of my truck, spent literally a couple minutes typing on his phone, he jacked the trailer off my trailer hitch, I had already disconnected the chains and electric. I asked him was I good to go, he did not respond, he then typed on his phone again. I asked if I should go to the office to get a receipt, he said yes, without looking at me. We went to the office and got our receipt, and left. I've rented from this location for over a decade, and I've never experienced the total disregard for customer service. I dont know what's changed as to your direction to the employed staff on how they should or should not do while interacting with customers, but it would seem they need a refresher course on manners, and customer service.

Overall my experience was very good. The 20 something people standing in front and on u-haul property trying to solicit work made the location seem a little dirty. "I would think after you tell the 1st couple your don't need any help that the others would take the hint "NOPE". I don't blame them but it doesn't mean I want to deal with them.
