First I place a reservation was told to wait for a call from somebody that did not happen. I then proceeded to go to the U-Haul and they told me I was late I was supposed to pick it up way earlier and I told him I was waiting for the confirmation. This is not the first time I've rented U-Haul I have never had an experience like this before. This location need some customer service help they do not have enough employees they do not know how to handle situations professionally. I got double charged for the U-Haul dolly then they gave me the wrong truck 15 foot box truck that cost me almost $100 more in fuel than what I would have used. I am a U-Haul service provider moving help service provider. From this point on I will recommend Penske trucks instead of U-Haul this is the worst experience I've had multiple customers tell me about how their reservations were not there also this location needs a lot of adjustments. Go try the Carson City location out for yourself good luck

I was very surprised that I needed to replace the fuel. I thought that was included in the 79¢ PER mile fee. So my "okay" rental turned into a "so-so" rental. Otherwise, the truck was great, the people were outstanding.

I rented an 8’ truck to haul a pop-up trailer. Luckily I checked just before pulling out and there was no hitch. I went in and he apologized but made me buy a hitch. And then return it for a refund. Upon return, it took 20 minutes to get my money back for the hitch.

- I was charges for utility dolly and never broke seal or used it. They said they were not authorized to give refund but acknowledged that $14 was owed to me. Never did get refund. - Had additional charge to credit card for $13.30 on 6/30/19 but did not see until showed up in crd card statement. Don't know what it is for. If for gas;ine, I filled up around one mile before U-haul before getting there. - Please call me at 920-562-9458 and inform me how I can get refunds for both of those over-charges.

I returned there and the guy helping me said the paperwork that was done yesterday was not right and I need to return it to a different location. And that I needed to do it. I still can't figure out how this became my problem. I reluctantly did it.

The price changed from the time I talked to someone over the phone and when I began talking with the local movers...higher than originally quoted. The 1st delivery, pick up and final delivery were moved to a day later, the final delivery date changed twice. We packed the boxes tight but they slam the boxes into each other so hard that the shelving units I had put in there were crunched on the corners and actually had the nails pushed out. That was a hard impact to do that. BUT I will say that the people at the local stores on both ends were really good. Very accommodating and helpful. The manager of the Riverside, CA shipping company did give us a sizable discount because of the mess we had over price and dates. And that was very much appreciated. Our items, for the most part, arrived save and sound. Nothing was broken beyond a simple repair. It took a lot of patience and many phone calls to accomplish our move and not sure I would chose UHaul again.

My biggest complaint about renting the trailer was their notification system on availability. I was notified of the change in location pick up 45 minutes before that store closed, not giving me enough time to pick up the trailer. This resulted in a 60-mile round trip delay in loading. I'm more timely notification would be appreciated in the future.

I needed a cargo van for a round trip - long distance. The extended days and miles plan available was just perfect. Van was quiet and comfortable. Ready on time, just a few minutes with my reservation. Overall, couldn't make it a better experience.

First, I will not be using the mobile check-in option again because it actually took more time than just going to the counter like I normally do. I got there, followed the steps and the truck I assumed it was sending me to had no numbers on the bumper (at least that I could find) like the app said. I went inside and couldn't find anyone...even yelled "hello" a few times. That's when I noticed the little "can't find my truck" link. It gave me another number to look for. This one I found, but it was blocked in by another truck. I went inside and someone who worked there had just arrived so I asked her and she got the keys to both, moved the blocking truck and gave me the keys to my new one. I finished the checkout process on my phone and was good to go. The truck itself was clean but did smell like cigarette smoke. I don't blame UHaul for that, they can't control what people do in their equipment. The oil change indicator was on the whole time, but that doesn't necessarily mean it was overdue. When it was time to return the truck it was extremely busy and the line inside was almost to the door. There was only one person working the counter so for every person returning something she had to go outside with them to finish the process, leaving the rest of us standing there waiting even longer. A second person could have made the process a lot faster. Thankfully, the truck I was returning was in the way (because the line of vehicles and trailers was so long when I got there, and the parking lot is not designed to handle high volumes like that) and the guy working outside had to come get the keys from me and move it. When he came back he took me out to the truck and finished the checkout process for me, even though I was the last one in line. Not a great experience overall, but not terrible enough for me to write this place off completely. But again, I have written off the mobile checkout completely and do NOT recommend that.

The Auto Transport rachet required special attention, in order for it to release on the strap.Fortunely, the the Drop off location personal had a pair of channel locks, to turn the axis, thus unwinding the strap.

We left a piece of a bed frame in truck 1/2"X2"X6' that we needed and returned to pick up the same day. I was charged $30 for cleaning for that piece accidently left in truck. We swept out the truck and restacked blankets as we did two days prior when we rented a truck. I was also charged $18 for fuel when in fact I topped off the tank with just over four gallons of fuel. I have the receipt. Drove less than 50 miles. Exact same trip two days prior. Put in the same amount of fuel on that trip and was not charged. I would appreciate my credit card refunded for these charges. Thank you.

Your damage inspection method using photos transmitted to customer's cellphone is terrible. It is virtually impossible to view any detail on the photos in bright sunlight. Trying to revert to buying the damage waver insurance, I find I must go back to the office the start all over, a process that took 30 minutes in the first place because the computer was locked up..

The staff was friendly and helpful. However, there were only 2 people working on Friday morning. I waited 30 mins in line behind 3 other people. The person at the counter would have to fill out the contract, ring up the person and then run out to the vehicle to do an inspection. Very inefficient and it caused a bottleneck at the counter. When I left after being helped, there were another 3 people waiting in line. Perhaps they need to reevaluate their system and/or hire another person for weekend mornings. Otherwise, it was a good experience. The van was comfortable and sufficient for our needs. Thank you.

Trailers was beat up. The roof leaked when driving in the rain. I always have to wait too long to rent and the rental process takes too long, especially just to rent a cheap trailer.

We had a reservation and it took over 30 minutes for us to get checked in and hitched up to the trailer. We wanted to upgrade to a larger trailer and had to wait in line for another 15 minutes only to find out they did not have a larger trailer. We brought the trailer back after 3 hours of use to drop off. The service guy unhitched the trailer and said we were good to go. I asked if we needed to sign anything and he said No. He would log it into his device. So we left. Today, one day after the rental, we received our receipt of the rental charges. For some reason, Uhaul charged me for two days rather than one. We only had the trailer from 10am-1pm. So I called the business number only to sit on hold for almost 20 minutes waiting for someone to answer. Once I did get someone, they redirected me to customer service because of a billing problem, only to wait another 15 minutes on hold. Finally able to talk to someone. They noted my claim and said they will submit the claim to management. It will take 3 business days to resolve issue. Unbelievable. I will be not be renting from Uhaul again nor will I recommend this location. What a hassle for three hours of rental time.

We got a notice the day before that we had to pick up in Carson City instead (what happened to our reservation?!?) a 30-minute drive away. That put us over our original miles planned, meaning we had to pay for the extra miles of going to CC.

I picked up my rental truck and had reserved it online. I reminded them that I had paid for a utility dolly. When I got to my destination, I opened the back and there was no dolly so I had to go back and pick it up, which was very frustrating due to the fact that your company charges by the mile. Also, the tire pressure monitor light was on. When I returned the vehicle the gentleman asked me if I had any issues, and I told him about the tire pressure monitor warning, and he said "Oh well its broken." As he yawned and checked in the vehicle. It was a really bad experience this time around.

reserved a 26' truck one week before pickup. went to pick up on Tuesday, Aprill 30 and was told they "had an issue" with this size truck and it was not available. I had movers scheduled from Reno that morning at 9am and needed a truck. Was offered a 20' foot truck @ a $5 discount by Killian Alexander, the manager at this facility. This size truck took FOUR loads and cost me an additional hour of movers charge!!! I found this manager very inept and incompetent and rude. I did not get a call before picking up my RESERVED truck . WHAT WAS THE ISSUE? My reservation given to another customer? I will not use this facility again and recommend this manager be terminated.

I had confirmed a truck and when I got there they did not have a truck for me. I drove 300 miles and packed up my mothers 4 bedroom home. They said I could pick one up in Reno at 3:00 p.m. Sunday. I needed to be home in the Bay area then. I left and dispatch called me and said they would find one. He called back and one had just come in early to the Carson facility I was at. The did every thing to get it right. Very nice people.

The personal experience is GONE. You have to go outside with an app on your phone to register the mileage and damage to the vehicle yourself. That takes about 15 minutes or so. Then I was still over charged for the mileage even after I had to take a picture of the odometer an upload. What happened to CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Whenever I spoke with your person on the phone, I was told that the store was open until 7:00. Whenever I arrived at 6:35, there was a man inside but the door was locked. I wanted to discuss the whole rental to avoid extra charges for being a short while late but he waved me away through the closed door so I dropped the trailer myself as he observed from inside. I have rented from U-Haul for more than 50 years and this is only the second time that I have had a bad experience from beginning to end of a rental. I will be back but will be closely monitoring to be sure that bad service is not a new trend. And it continues . . . .
