So happy to return the truck early and they made that easy. Great location.
Rented from that location before friendly stuff.
Very unhappy that I reserved a 26' truck months in advance but Uhaul claimed they could only give me a 15' truck with a trailer. I saw many many 26' trucks on the various lots so I feel like I am a victim of bait and switch by giving me a smaller truck for the same price. Rip Off!
This site is under new management and it shows. I had a great experience renting a truck and closing out my storage unit. They were king helpful and very professional. This was the best experience I have had with uhaul.

Be more clear verbally on the length of the rental. It's not convenient to rent a trailer & to have it back the same day. People get tired. With trls a 1 day rental should be a 24 hr day

Tell them if you're short, don't rent a truck because when you put in a code at a gate, by the time you get back into the truck the gate will close on you
The reservation process was simple. Only one person in line ahead of me so no long wait. Easy process and the nice lady there hooked up the trailer to my car. Returning the next day was a breeze. Thx, Ron

Excellent all around
Thank God for U-haul! When ever I need a truck or trailer that is where I go. However, the last time I rented a truck I decided to use the Smartphone app. This was the worst app I ever used. I was not expecting such a poor experience from a company like U-haul. The app had trouble interacting with the phone's location services, and was very unstable. I am a seasoned smartphone user and I have used many apps over the years. I am also a software engineer and I can recognize poorly written software. This U-haul app was worse than poor. U-haul should destroy this app and start over. It took about 2.5 times more time that if I had done the process through the counter. Not only that, but constant glitches, superfluous interface obstacles, and poorly designed process flow was more than frustrating. Everything else was a good experience as usual.
Awesome job quick and easy
The only issue I had was with picking up the vehicle after hours. The process was very cumbersome and the 2 minute checkout ended up taking over 30 minutes. I even did the precheckout to speed up the process but the site ended up asking the same information. Hopefully the next time I use the afterhour checkout the process will be easier.
I am extremely unhappy with the way my rental from U-Haul transpired. My original reservation was for a 10ft truck to be picked-up in South Lake Tahoe at 9am. I received a call at 8:30am informing me there were no trucks available so I was forced to drive to Carson City where only 15ft trucks were available. This was an incredible inconvenience!
I was really bothered that the lady did not have her mask over her nose. That does not protect the customers against COVID.
The uhaul online experience is terrible. The crew could not complete my contract after i had put all my info in online. I had to go into the office and they ultimately had to cancel the reservation and completely start over. I am concerned because I submitted my DL and credit card online and now I don't have confidence in the competence and security of the uhaul system

Great staff, got me in and out and the trailer was waiting for me to hookup and go.
Booking experience was not good. I received emails two days before my rental, saying they could not accommodate. Was on the phone several times trying to make this work, as we had appointment with the movers. I don't think my experience was very professional. Told me to pick up at one place not accurate. Had to change plans, which made it very difficult for the move.
appointment at 10:30, equipment was late. Waited around and waste my day
The door and latch were very hard to open and close. Needed some oil on the rails. But it drove well.
I always use this location. It isn't the closest to my location, but its central to many things I do.

It does not get much better, and thank you all for today's experience. This is one of the best, cleanest, well organized, and well run, from what I saw today.. I use this store exclusively, because of the employees. I do not know any of them, other than at work, there polite, and do a good job, Thank you again, and I'll see you again....🤗

The company has gotten too strict, too many extra charges, no flexibility in favor of the customers. I am not comfortable doing the last 2 things I have done with you. One, I didn't get all my money back when your website changed the date on the request. 2. the next morning should be as good as the end of day, for return. These things cost me a lot of money. Should not have.
dirty truck, rude personal, what should have taken 5-10 minutes took over an hour. (I was the only customer) started and restarted my order repeatedly. When manager was called was rude, condescending and out right lied. Worst Uhaul experience in 40 years!
Once again, I was rerouted to a new pick up location just 24 hours before my pick up time. I had to drive 35 miles out of my town to get the truck, drive 35 miles back, and load in the dark. I understand the unpredictability of people returning trucks, and I understand the special circumstances I was under in needing a one way. But I think that if I order a truck from a Reno location— then regardless of where the truck is- Uhaul should get the truck to the place I ordered it from. Someone other than me should have brought the truck to Reno. Otherwise— don't have customers reserve from a specific location and just leave it all up for grabs. It is anyway. I have had 3 experiences now with Uhaul in the last two years, and EVERY TIME, I was not able to pick up my truck from the place I reserved it. This causes undue stress and anxiety at a time when customers are already trying to coordinate moving details- sometime between two states! Uhaul needs a overhaul in how it manages its reservation system— or just be honest and drop the reservation system all together!

We got off to a rocky start, but it quickly got better once we got the communication established. Very nice and helpful staff.
Uhaul employees should offer help to employees and make sure they know what is expected of them for drop-off. We were left confused when the employee walked away initially and tried to find information one that was difficult to apply to our unique situation. Once the employee came back to listen to our situation, it was much easier.
They guaranteed the trailer I reserved. Then when I got there they gave me a smaller trailer. It was to small and I ended up having to drive an extra 400 miles to make more trips.
Great customer service
Reserve a truck , didn't have truck, last minute cancellation. Tried to get $50 for them not having the truck was sent from phone number to phone number 4 times. I guess this is how they don't pay you when they cancelled a reservation. Really poor response. Won't use again.

Geraldo/Gerardo, the manager on duty (Sunday) was an extremely unpleasant individual. I've come to this location at least 20 times over the years, and I will never be coming back. There is no excuse for a manager to treat customers with such disrespect and disdain. I will happily *detail* you on exactly what happened, if you are sincerely interested in rectifying this situation, you will contact me.
Get more trucks! Getting the size I wanted for a local move was not possible. Very dissatisfied. I've been renting uhaul truck for a long time and this was the first time I couldn't get the truck I wanted.

I'll never use u haul again. I was waiting for a call in the morning saying my 20' truck wasn't ready and I had been downgraded to 15, last minute. F off.
Your employees were all very nice, and apologetic. The problem is not them. The problem is with the training. That comes from the top...not the employees that meet you at the desk. I went to pick up my 26' foot truck. I had already rented one within the month. This time, however, i was told sorry. My reservation had been moved to the next day, at a different location. I had made this reservation well in advance. I was moving, had people lined up, paid, and closing escrow the next day. Had I been informed, INITIALLY, that a reservation doesn't mean you get the truck, well.....? I had to drive to another city to pick up a 15 foot truck, just to make it all happen. All this was explained, after the fact. Looking at my email, from the night before, I was notified of a change at 7 pm! That is unacceptable. I read it later the NEXT morning.

Everything was great except when I went to return the truck the guy named Kris was very rude.. this is not the first time he has been like this!!!
I had to wait for 40 minutes every time I had to go in and the guy was super rude on the phone when I called.
I found it off-putting, that I was given an access card for accessIng the roll-down storage units within a fenced-in area; but could only access the storage units during business hours! The map and paperwork stated the site was accessible from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, which was not true and was incorrect! I consequently made a wasted, 80-mile round trip to the storage unit...wasting 3 hours of my valuable time, to load a trailer (a UHaul trailer no less), drive there, and not get access. To make matters worse, the signage at the property had the phone number listed of a previous manager (who was quite polite!), and she gave me the number to the new General Manager, who was not happy to be getting a call after hours. Seemed dismissive of my frustrations. This was a verbal communication blunder upon getting the unit, and a printed error problem on both the maps, and the signage at the electronic gate (on the fence). The only good result of this, was that the assistant manager was able to provide a remedy to my displeasure.
The general manager at the Williams location took his time and explained everything for bothe the storage and renting of truck.
Got in and got out quickly, effectively and efficiently!
The facility is nice however the service is poor and unprofessional. While waiting in line employees are on the phone arguing with customers and swearing after they hang up with them. We encountered this on multiple occasions.
The general manager at the East William road facility was extremely helpful ion move in. This was an emergergency move in and she was wonderful!

The only annoyance was the gate access system. I had two different storage units. Each time, the access did not work at first. The staff said it sometimes takes 5-10 minutes to provision. That is ridiculous and should be remedied. Other than that, the experience was great. The staff were very helpful. The manager, Killian, was excellent and professional.
Are you kidding? We were assured we reserved a storage space and when we showed up NONE WERE AVAILABLE! All packed up and no where to go. Your call center is the shits.

Needed to make a truck size change, Uhaul was able to find appropriate one quickly to make move schedule on time. The storage facility is nice to have in case move in is delayed.
The fact your online profile doesn’t matter when it comes to updating payment options. You want the person to come in and deal with a staff who is so unprofessional and clueless, truly the worst.
This is absolutely the WORST U-Haul store I’ve ever run across. I’ve been a U-Haul customer for decades, across multiple states.. and yeah, most disorganized, rude, dirty employees ever.
The staff was great and we found the entire process of getting a storage unit to be a very smooth one. Access was also very convenient and the facility appears to be very clean and well maintained.
Killian and Craig were both very helpful and caring. Overall a very good experience.

We had to drive an extra 30 miles from our preferred location in Reno to a storage unit in Carson City wait 90 minutes to get the unit due to not enough staff, & truck drop off 90 min. late.
I rented a space to store a vehicle. I only had the space for 4 days when we decided to take the vehicle to a repair shop. I am very disappointed that U-Haul doesn't refund any part of the rent.

Average rating is for poor customer service. Staff in the store does not return phone calls and the answering service is the absolute worst. It took several calls over 2 weeks to cancel contract.
when we rented a U-Haul trailer we were told that we could get one month free storage when we got to our location. We were not allowed 1 month free rent have a storage unit.
I am not happy with the storage part. I let staff know when I moved out and yet I was continually asked to pay the storage for 6 months after that.
The staff and managers were terrible.They wouldn’t work with me to get access to my pods past 4pm and then left them outside, uncovered for 3 days. Mice got in a some point. Terrible customer service.
My overall U-Box experience has been very poor from A to B. The icing on the cake was this location loading my U-Box BACKWARDS on the trailer. Truly next-level incompetence.

The staff are not well supervised. Felt like a hangout for people than a job.
The Facility was fine but I don’t understand why my u-boxes could not be shipped to Reno. It’s not the facilities issue. It’s U-Haul logistics that was troubling.
The wait time to turn in the truck was over an hour. The storage unit we had ordered and confirmed via telephone was not available, and the manager insisted we pay more to have two smaller units.
Very busy but efficient. I no longer need storage. Thought I had called and cancelled.

The desk person was unprofessional, sucking on a bottle of coke mid-conversation with customers. Couldn't get up to help another customer find something; we assisted the customer. She pointed.
My comments are too many to list here. I have filed an official complaint with Corporate in the form of a physical letter as well as an email to Customer Support.

The payment was never taken off credit card like soppose to every month.making payment late and you locking me out every time..staff rude and lacking in customer skills.always waiting over 30 min..
The policy that prevents forklift use after 4:00 is inconvenient.
